The setting above the city was extraordinary. Our room was just as we had requested. Meals were excellent and service at dinner was attentive.
Fabulous view of Toledo with great services and availability of transportation to and from the downtown core.
view, the wet grass outside the room. the smell of the room - lovely and clean, and good decor, lovely bathroom and great bath stuff! thank you. Very very poor information about Toledo... gave incorrect information on train times, poor map, nothing in english, did not promote night time activities in Toledo and staff on the desk were very abrupt and unfriendly. Did not make us feel welcome. Amazed that the hotel could not tell us about evening events - you should promote what is happening in the city!! it is tourism after all...!!!
Clean, modern facilities, restful place. Free parking. It was hard to find.
The view Restaurant was full
Comfortable room and beds, ample parking The hotel has an incorrect address on the promotional material. I use a GPS to find locations. The street address for this hotel does not exist at Toledo and so I had an exasperating experience trying to find this hotel. The hotel is outside the city of Toledo on a hill in adjacent town. The address that is given for this hotel is a good marketing exercise but is incorrect and will cause problems for other GPS users.
Hotel generally excellent with views over Toledo. Food is poor value for money. Dinner portions very very small. Would not stay again or would eat out!!
The view of the city of Toldedo from the Parador is unbelievable! The parador sits up on a hill above the city and the view at both sunset and sunrise is spectacular.
Very good place to stay some days. The extremely nice views from the hotel. The cost is quite expensive.
View was great from the Parador with clean rooms overall Some staffs were very very rude. Which ruined our stay overall. The person working at the reception was rude and also at the breakfast cafeteria.
Beautiful setting; great panoramic view of Toledo. Room was lovely with balcony overlooking the city of Toledo. Pretty far removed from the city. Only three scheduled shuttles into the city each day--none of which had a return option. The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic; the dinner was expensive and not that tasty..perhaps we selected the wrong items.
View of Toledo, from our room. We booked this hotel because they said they accepted dogs...well they do, but at check in you are told it is 35EUR per night for your dog. Guests with dogs are allocated certain ground floor rooms, ours had a small dog bed and food/water bowls. As dogs are forbidden in all communal zones, except for access to/from your room...and you are not allowed to leave your dog alone in your room...you are 'suggested' to use room service for meals/drinks. We did so for breakfast/dinner and didn't find the prices that bad...however, we would have been happier if the hotel explained the many restrictions that applied to dogs, at the time of booking. Security at the hotel also appeared very poor (i.e. non-existant)
Very comfortable, stylish room. Friendly, professional staff. Could not fault the hotel.
Excellent parking facilities- Access to broadband facilities not possible without a wireless connect card- "wireless" facilities are however referred to in the site details
This was a nice clean hotel with lots of little perks. Huge beautiful bathroom.... nice view from the deck..... free WIFI..... just outside of town, we walked into the downtown quite easily. Free parking as well.
The view and location is the best in Toledo and the room is quite spacious Don't quite know how some of these hotels get 5 stars (compared to 5 star chains like Four Seasons/Oriental it's a world away). Front desk staff were quite unhelpful and seemed to lack initiative, and in some cases seem completely unable to understand quite basic questions in English. Water pressure in shower is surprisingly poor. Although it has 24h room service it took over 1 hour to get food at night, so they seem not set up for this.
Superb location, excellent rooms, great views.we only stayed overnight but wil return whe we actually visit toledo again. The restaurant food should be better, our steaks were overcooked.
The view of the old town of Toledo is really beautiful.
Room and catering good. Views superb. Much noise from family in adjoining room but staff changed our room. Noise from A/C, low drone all night even when switched off. Very thin walls so no sound insulation between rooms.
Staff was quite unhelpful. Breakfast was a mediocrity, almost ludicrous for a five-star hotel, with industrialized orange juice and a poor choice of cold cuts. Facilities seem quite dates, the last renovation probably took place some twenty years ago. Pricey and definitely not worth your dollar...
It was quiet and the view was great. The crib and set up for my toddler was top quality. A clock/alarm was not provided. The floor was full of dust, grass, and dirt. The room did not include an area rug. As a result, could not remove shoes.
room not ready. pool not open. service slow
The friendliness and helpfulness of the reception staff. The ease of finding it from the highway and its proximity to the old town. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable.
Room was large, reception was extremely helpful and breakfast was fantastic. Ample street parking aorund hotel.
Friendly helpful staff.
Very helpful staff, they helped us with the 100 things we needed on our first day in Spain. Parking is very tricky.
Hotel was fairly easy to find and parking was cheap and simple. Freindly reception staff who responded very promptly to request for extra pillows. Very clean, modern and well-decorated. Good breakfast, very convenient for the city (which is amazing!) and very reasonably priced. Will definitely stay there again when we visit Toledo for a longer trip. Aircon in the room didn't seem to work (blew warm air!) but since it was November, maybe they had switched off the cooling. Opened the window instead, so didn't bother asking management about it.
Awesome place, Highly recommend, great value!
very friendly staff and good location - very near the coach station and only a few hundred yards from the historical town
Location. Good hotel for those arriving by train; around 15 minutes of mostly level walking from RENFE station, and about 15 minutes of not strenuous uphill walking to Plaza Zocodover. We walked to Zoco twice each day on the two full days of our stay, and I'm in my 50's. Historic Toledo itself is a jewell and is well worth a visit. The shower cubicle is a bit small, but adequate.
the staff were very friendly and helpful, very close to the town.
Pleasant staff noisy street and some noisy quests!
Firs of alll, the location of the hotel is great: not inside the city walls, but very close and no trouble to drive to hotel at all. The ouners are very friendly and polite, breacfast is fresh and home-made stile.
Extremely affordable; the staff was happy to help; location is great; free Wi-Fi; plenty of cheap parking, compared to other places; supermarket(s), restaurants, some shopping, and the old city within minutes; availability of items for sale at reception (water, etc). No air conditioning (during our stay), noisy guests, tiny television, no elevator, no refrigerator.
location, room, stuff, breakfast
Customer service was outstanding They should not smoke in the rooms. The room had a cigarrette smell. But the over all room was outstanding
Staff kindness, comfort Far from old town sites (20-30 min by walk uphill)
Close to the old city Nice balcony at the room You could hear the next room neighbours
we found it easier getting to the old city by walking to the multi-storey carpark and using its escalators we were only offered one cup of coffee with breakfast
- location 2 minutes from bus station - hotel staff - location near main-street - a bit poor breakfast (but no problem for us)
the staff were very nice and helpful, very close to attraction size of room very small
This is a superb hotel. Directly outside the city wall of the specatacular ancient city of toledo. An absolute historical and architectural jewel. The hotel is small and exceptionally well laid out and managed. Superb service. Parking is a nightmare. Sinage practically non-existent, and the toledo police force is good at writing tickets and not much else. I parked in front of the hotel, as directed by the manager. The next day, in sevilla, I noticed a kind notice from the police under the wiper blade. Infraction: 60 euros (about $80.00 us). If you are considering traveling to the important cities of spain by car---just forget it---it is a nightmare. It took nearly two hours to find this hotel. Poor instructions. Go by train or bus. In toledo, and all other spanish towns, signage is abominable. You will get lost----often!.
Location, convenient parking, staff Small room. The telephon in the room did not work!
location excellent, very clean. parking is a nightmare in toledo.the hotel knows this by trying to charge extorionate rates to use their garage.
We enjoyed the cosy atmosphere of the hotel and its location. The hotel is very clean. We liked everything
On site parking and closeness to town centre without the noise, albeit up hill.
The friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was very good. Room was clean and comfortable. Not in the center of Toledo but bus #12 stops right outside the door and takes you to the center of Toledo for €0.95, else it's a long uphill walk.
Being able to park at the hotel. It cost , but it was worth it.
Friendliness of the staff No snacks available
close to town centre
Quiet location, access with car but parking problems at times, 5 minutes walking to the centre of old city Great views from hotel
The location of the hotel - pretty views over the river and a bus stop just opposite which enabled you to get to the main attractions in Toledo. It would have been nice to have some cooked items at breakfast, however what was on offer was more than adequate.
We liked the old fashioned rooms, very quirky with having to walk at different levels of the old building to get to ones room. The twin beds, we asked for a double and ended up getting a twin.
a surly, unclean experience;wouldn't wish on my worst enemy
Very good location, nice staff, good rooms, close to everything you need to see in toledo! i would stay there again!
The location is amazing, right near Puerta del Sol and there is a great little cafe nearby with porras and hot chocolate.
Very friendly staff and good localization. Rooms were clean and the space was ok.
All four of us agreed on the fact that on our journey Hostal Sol was the best offer from value/price point of view. The surroundings have a romantic component with the castle right above it. Everything we were interested in was close. Next time we would choose Hostal Sol again. And by the way: we went to Toledo by accident, but now I say that this city is a must see. During our journey we were used to have free wi-fi. The hostel does not have, but you can go online in a place really close as the receptionist guided us there.
we liked the location, very friendly staff, contemporary interior design, cleanliness, ability to park our car in the garage nothing
It stood out on the landscape with nothing for miles, a true oasis No
Very, very nice!
tranquility poor signposting to hotel
landscape awkward layout overall and in the rool
Total Trranquility Food
Around 15-20 mins from Toledo. A very good hidden gem. The restaurant is very nice.
Although only dinner guests excellent service Very poor value breakfast - no choice - provided with toast and coffee for euros 6.50 per person
View from balcony was nice, but had to wonder of dust from the nearby quarries was good for our lungs. Decor in bathroom was attractive. Hotel had many spa services. No help with luggage. No carpet anywhere in hotel so very noisy. No double beds in entire hotel! Tacky room decor. The receptionist hung up on me when I inadvertantly asked in English if she spoke English. Had she not been so rude, she would have found I also speak Spanish. I can't recommend a hotel with that kind of front desk behavior.
All of the hotel staff and the hotel itself was excellent No only the direction about getting to the hotel which took some time to find
Hotel rooms spotlessly clean and furnished comfortably. Location superb. Reception staff spoke English. Staff could not have been nicer. Good dining experience. Good spa.
The best: the woman at the reception. Really nice and helpful.
Super brand new hotel.Very clean.Nice room.Nice bkfst.Personnel at bkfst very kind. This hotel is a bit far from cental Toledo and too close from the Highway. With a nice terrace and couches you can't enjoy because of the noise.D'ont get a room with a river view they are also Highway view.Personnel at rception a bit amateurish. They don't even propose luggage service.
Nice property, big rooms, helpful staff Location - but the hotel makes up for it with its service and quality
situation good would like ability to control room temperatures and change bed linen - duvet to blankets etc.
beautiful hotel, with fantastic bathrooms, clean, luxurious overpriced internet connection, $18 Euros for the day, and a bit out of the way
Great customer service, beautiful hotel and views, after all everything was great. It is a little far from the tourist attractions and there is nothing around it and the pool was a little dirty but nothing big.
Beautiful hotel, very nice spacious room, friendly staff. Location not great to visit city centre, not much to do/see around hotel itself.
Room spacious, terrace restaurant location lovely. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. Food truly appalling. No hot water. Service very slow and inconsistent.
excellent service from staff distance from city centre
The very professional staff, the huge size of the rooms and the marvelous spa
Luxurious interiors, wide spaces, very good value for money. The dinner offer was very limited and the quality of food was poor. However, the breakfast was better.
We were glad the hotel had arranged for our two rooms to be next to each other. My wife and I would have preferred one large bed rather than 2 singles.
Really good location at affordbale rates.
PROXIMITY TO OLD CITY. GREAT STAFF!!!!!!!!!!!
Close to city center; very nice place - clean and confortable They could not stop the rain falling from the sky all the time we were in Toledo. The rest was perfect!
2 out of the 3 staff we encountered were extremely polite, and provided excellent service. The rooms were big with decent views. Good shower. Clean. All well looked after. The location is also good (it's uphill into town, but if you don't like hills, then Toledo is not for you!) - near to several great bars and restaurants. Could do with a hair dryer in the room! And was disappointed to see that the "double bed" was in fact 2 singles together - who are these couples who sleep so far apart on a weekend away? :-)
We liked the cleanliness of the hotel and the location is fine - 5-10 minutes from the bus station and 5-10 minutes from the centre of town. no
Easy access to old city. Interior noise from plumbing
Staff friendly. Rooms clean and airy. Rooms not noisy. Close prioximity to tourist attractions and restuarant. I think that tea/coffee making facilities should be available in the room.
Receptionist was most helpful, location was wonderful
loacation, good air conditioning, clean breakfast not included
Great location, quite room if window closed, clean and comfort, very helpful staff, nice restaurant. Actually there's no wifi in the room, should be clarified.
Huge, nice and comfortable single beds in a nice and sunny room. Restaurant downstairs served really good food (breakfast was included - try the partridge and white beans). Good location to walk around the old town - not far from the cathedral. Both the restaurant and hotel staff were very friendly. The hostel was smoke free which we appreciated. Better service from an open wifi hotspot was available so we didn't use their wifi. Shower wasn't the cleanest we've seen. Room was hastily made up on the second night we were there and didn't get more shower gel (minor issue) and the glasses weren't replaced. Also there was some noise from the road outside as the cars often hit the gutter at the bottom of the hill.
The room was cozy and clean, quiet and the internet connection was great. It was in an ideal location for seeing the sights and having a chance to relax in between outings.
Very nice stay, clean, good breakfast, convenient, helpful staff The rooms were on the street, very nice, but noisy.
The price was great! The dinner was cheap and wonderful. Location:) Extras for breakfast easy to order. Everyone smiled. The best city map of all the towns I went to. Staff spoke poor English. Walls were very thin.
reception ok; room simple but clean; restaurant rather simple, does not respond to their own publicity; two owners serving by turns;the senior is kind as well the staff around him; the other has no control over his crew;prices of extra's rather 5-star than hostal-level;
very friendly staff, Anna was so welcoming! Loved the restaurant right next door
very cosy hostal in central location, corner room with nice views, new furnishing, helpfull staff, good restaurant downstairs, very good value for money! no parking in vicinity of hostal, but that is inherent to its central location in Toledo's old town...
Excellent location in historic district. Good ambience. Nice room and friendly staff. No nearby parking. Difficult to find on foot let alone by car - take a taxi!
The hotel was in the very cebter of the city, so we could see all of it very easily. Breakfast was not enough. They gave us a very poor "bocadillo" and a little juice... And the waiter was not friendly at all!!!
Good location, good value for money Needs refurbishing, clean but a little tired
the staff was gracious and helpful, the hotel and room spacious with a cool Spanish feeling. the buffet breakfast was fantastic! I have already recommended it to travelers I meet who are headed to Toledo.
Great location for walking to centre
Room was comfortable, although not too spacious. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. quite a way from the centre of town, but very quiet
The room was very spacious as was the bathroom the location was good as you can get a bus and be in the cit centre in five minutesy
Beautiful building, polite staff, good location. Nothing
Staff is friendly and location is good View from the room on floor -1 at backside of the hotel is unsightly
Staff and location Plumbing noise from pipes travelling through room
Hotel very comfortable and easy to drive to and find with parking available. As it is outside the old town, it is necessary to use taxi or bus as can be too far to walk in hot weather, although this is beter than staying in old town as driving and parking could be very difficult.
excellent lobby and also wonderful room , very good breakfast, too cold to eat in the breakfast room.
nice staff sensitive to the need of the customers.
Service Not really
sentral location, staff is always on duty, elevator,AC slight odor in the room, not very nice illumination
Clean, central. Rooms good size Hotel a bit old.Not easy to find, with gps it took us hours to find.No English speaking. Better to book a hotel not in the core of town as its all alleys & narrow roads especially if you travel with a car. Toledo is lovely plenty to see.
Don't try to reach the hôtel by car. Suggestion: Go directly to Vinci parking nearby. Park the car and roll your suitcases to the hôtel
Great location and extremely well priced N/A
Rooms were clean. Location good. Incredibly loud disco across the street that closed at 6am. Air Conditioning did not work and I was told it comes on when it gets "hot" outside. It was 95 F so I am unsure what "hot" means to Hotel Imperio but AC was advertised and not available.
Hotel was near to main sightseeing attractions. no car accessible to the hotel where we had lots of baggages from our long cruise/car tour trip.Road to this hotel was barred.
Friendly, helpful staff and excellent location to all najor attractions, Bathroom had been updated and the central ac was fantastic as the temperature was 43 degrees c.
Helpful staff. Comfortable room. Central position. Hook to hang the shower not available
The staff was friendly and the hotel was conveniently located to both the train station and the bus line. Noisy on the street.
I like the quaitness and size of the hotel. And the location was good to see the Toledo city at night. They serve a basic breakfast juice and croissants at a very reasonable price. I was on the top floor of the hotel and my ceiling in my room was sloped making the room feel cramped. and because of the top floor, I had no windows except for a sky light. I felt like I was in the attic. Keep in mind, I did book the very last room.
The staff at reception during checkin and checkout were very slow and unfriedly indeed! The room we were given smelled strongly of cigarette smoke even though we had specifically asked for a non-smoking room. It took a lot of effort and time to convince reception staff to give us another room. Overall not a good impression of this hotel at all.
Convenient for the station, and on the way to the centre of Toledo. The rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was available at the hotel.
relatively close to the old city plenty of parking spaces adjacent to the hotel the room including the bed are quite old and not that comfortable
This is a lovely hotel with many good qualities - comfortable beds and very attractive, moorish decor. The hotel was well placed to enable us to see and do many things in the city. The excellent sites of Toledo were within walking distance as was the train link to Madrid. Parking facilities were an important consideration.
The people at the desk were amazing and very friendly. They took the time to help with everything and took interest in who was staying there and looked forward to having us back.
Hostel Centro is in a fantastic location, and is ideal as a base for exploring the city. The room was clean, simply furnished, and perfectly adequate. As the lift starts at the first floor, I would not recommend this hostel for those who have mobility problems.
perfect location, friendly staffs,clean room.
Comfortable air conditioned rooms, excellent value, nice staff, right in centre of the old town of Toledo
how clean was it and its location there was no breakfast
Very central, nice people at the reception. A bit noisy (TV in the other rooms).
Good location, easy to access Poor ventilation
Just half a block off the Plaza Zocodover, this could hardly be more conveniently located, and the staff is very cooperative and welcoming. The top-floor terrace, large if bare-bones, offers a rooftop viewpoint on Toledo. There is a flight of stairs and then some before you reach the elevator.
The best location in Toledo for sites, shopping and restaurants. Clean rooms and great value. No elevator on ground floor.
The reception staff were a little abrupt, however, we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Las Conchas. It is convenient to everything. no
Good location - spacious rooms
The location was great, right in the heart of the city. Close to shopping and all attractions
staff was accommodating and provided other information regarding the city
The helpful staff Noise
The staff was incredibly friendly and the breakfast was more than adequate for the price. The walls were so thin. We could hear our neighbor's conversations through the wall and someone getting sick at about 5am. Bring earplugs to get sleep.
Hotel is OK, rooms are small but people is very nice
The location was perfect. It was right off the main square, but not noisy. The location was great. It was right off the main square.
The position of the hotel, central for visiting the sites It was a little noisy internally , the walls must be quite thin and our room was positioned between two bathrooms and we could hear the people in the adjacent rooms showering ect., However the position negated these problems
Welcoming and very centrally located.
location was outstanding, total view of historic Toledo, which could not be surpassed. A phtotographer's delight. The main bar for the hotel was outside 60 metres down the road. In winter, this is totally unacceptable. The restaurant was closed to residents on our first evening, not even tapas was available. The quality of cuisine on the second evening was pretentious and over priced.
Hotel staff excellent!!! View!!!! Great hotel. Better than in the old city!!!!!
Easy to find it and exceptional position with view on the city
Attractive room; great view; nice pool
Staff was helpfull and flexibility, good restaurant, good location, parking.
Fabulous view of Toledo and area. Fair hike to town !
The view ,room setup nice big terrace parking, easy access Staff poor english.Dinner (optional)left much to be desired
Magnificent view of the night skyline of the Old Town of Toledo. Just can't be beat! Beautifully furnished room with charming grounds and surroundings. Nice swimming pool in summer. It would be helpful to have an English translation of the menu in the restaurant or staff that knows a little English to interpret the items. The evening we are in the dining room all 12 of the guests were English speaking.
Great location for viewing the old town of Toledo and skyline. Peaceful location.
It is a very wonderful view.
This is a chic, modern hotel in a beautiful old building. It is right in the heart of the city, walking distance to all of the sights. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and gave great recommendations for nearby tapas bars, restaurants, etc. There was a point when the hot water seemed to decrease. It didn't cause us too much trouble though, since it was so hot during our stay. The cool shower was refreshing. We loved this place, and will stay again.
