Pros: The hostess was THE BEST CHEF and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE STAYING HERE TO DO THE EXTRA DINNER. So delicious and so cheap!!
Pros: Very nice place, great facilities....the outdoor eating area is fabulous. The family is also very nice.
Cons: For Georgia, the room was a bit pricey (60 lari), considering there was no tv, it was a shared bathroom and in a village.
Pros: We travelled for two weeks through Georgia and Guesthouse Alvani was the most genuine, warm welcome we felt on our holiday. Our room was perfect, clean and spacious with huge ensuite bathroom. The back garden has loads of space to relax. Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and organised an excellent driver up to Tusheti. As others have said, the food here is simply amazing - Naira is a very talented cook. One of our favourite meals in Georgia! The home made wine and brandy are also delicious. Thanks so much Naira, Alex and family. I hope one day we can come back and spend a bit more time with you. Madloba! Super!
Pros: The hospitality of the family from the avani guest house is never ending. The food is amazing and the garden so beautiful. If you need help for organize transport to Tibilissi or to Omalo they will help you. Thank you for the nice time in the guesthouse.
Pros: Very comfortable guest house 500 metres from where the marshutka from telavi will drop you. Lovely garden to relax in and staff very friendly. I recommend having dinner there too - loads of different plates of delicious Georgian food. The family can also organise 4wd to olamo.
Cons: There are slightly cheaper options. Dinner was 35 gel per person.
Pros: Everything! By far the best place I stayed at in Georgia. Nowhere I found more friendly people, better food or nicer rooms incl great bathroom and garden and relaxing area. We stayed longer than planned, just too good to leave this place! Very highly recommended!!!
Cons: The family is incredibly friendly and and cozy. Room and bathroom very clean. The meal is the best I have had in Georgia.
Pros: Very nice host, had a huge hangover and they treated me very kindly
Pros: The Landlady and her Family was very friendly. The Dinner were awesome and overwelmingly delishious and abundant.
Pros: The staff were incredibly friendly and the food served was absolutely 1st class. A huge spread at both breakfast and dinner - all fresh produce locally sourced. It was the best food we had in Georgia - Even more impressive considering the cost. If you’re staying in Alvani, definitely stay here.

Pros: We had the most wonderful stay at Melissa guesthouse. Khatuna, who runs the guesthouse and lives next door with her family, is just the loveliest of human beings and the perfect hostess. She really went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and took the time to talk to us about the Kists and her family’s connection to a unique form of Sufism practiced in the Pankisi. She took us on a wonderful tour of the village and introduce us to several of her neighbours and friends which gave us a great sense of the community. We especially enjoyed the visit to the community centre where the women create the most beautiful traditional felt art and interesting ceramics. Aside from this, Khatuna prepared entirely delicious dishes for both at breakfast and dinner during our stay, featuring fresh local produce, traditional recipes and delicious flavours. Our room was very comfortable, and although it was cold in November, the heated mattress kept us warm and cozy all night, while the wood fire in the living room was perfect during the day and evenings. The only problem with our stay is that it was really too short to explore more of the nature hikes and walks through the beautiful valley, but that means we just have a great excuse to return in the future. We went to Pankisi as strangers and left feeling like we had made good friends. A truly unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!
Pros: Luxury room, kitchen and bathroom. Very clean. Fantastic Chechen home made food. Friendly owner Khatuna! Very good example of the famous Chechen hospitality.
Pros: This was a superb accomodation. Khatuna was very friendly and helpful, the location itsself is situated in a beautiful garden, the food was delicious and good value. Everything the average westerner needs (including WiFi...) is at hand. After a short notice, her husband picked us up at the airport in Tbilisi no questions asked. For our hiking trip, Khatuna prepared a lot of delicious food, we probably would`ve starved to death without it. With her daughter Melissa, she accompagnied us into the village to get a taxi and negotiated a fair price for us. Even days after we left, she helped us organize a taxi in a completely different region of the country when we were almost stuck in a remote valley. All in all I would recommend Melissa Guest House without hesitation. Thank you, Khatuna!
Pros: I liked the reception, the cleanliness, the hospitality, the food, the location, everything is beautiful
With a stay at Hotel Datuki in Akhmeta, you'll be 10.2 mi (16.4 km) from Alaverdi Monastery and 13.1 mi (21.2 km) from Ikalto Monastery. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: If you are looking for a quiet place to sleep, this is not the place. There is a disco which open till late evening and it's very loud. The bathroom smeels funny and the room was full of mosquitoes. The corridor stunk like someone has been smoking there. There is no parking, you just park your car in the middle of the main street.
Featuring barbecue facilities and a garden, Nazy's Guest House is located in Joqolo. The accommodation offers luggage storage space and free WiFi throughout the property. At the guest house, every room comes with a balcony. Every room includes a shared bathroom, while certain rooms also offer a mountain view. A continental breakfast is served daily at the property. Guests at Nazy's Guest House will be able to enjoy activities in and around Joqolo, like cycling. Tbilisi International Airport is 125km from the property.
Pros: Nazy's guest house is located in a beautiful region and it offers a very pleasant accommodation experience. The place is very clean and dinners are delicious. The host is very welcoming and she helped us a lot with planning.
Cons: The nights could be hot in August and some better ventilation could help.
Pros: I and my friend stayed Nazy’s guest house for two days. Lovely and peaceful place for every traveler. Tasty foods, beautiful garden, the comfortable room and the clean bath room. Nazy, her family and the staff from England are very kind and full of consideration of others. We were happy to stay their guest house.
Pros: Nazy's Guesthouse is exceptional! The room I stayed in was lovely, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Nazy was wonderfully hospitable-she helped me arrange transport, a guide and meals. I highly recommend the food here-easily the best food I had in Georgia!
Pros: Beautiful guesthouse and garden, best host ever, amazing vegetarian (on request) dinner, great breakfast, spotless clean. Host was not only incredibly nice and welcoming but also suggested hiking trips and massively helped us out when we had problems with our car. Pankisi valley is a beauty with great nature and nice small villages. Also people in the valley are all very friendly.
Cons: Literally everything was perfect
Pros: The location is great; it is right in the middle of the Pankisi Valley. The fence gives just the right amount of privacy without cutting you off from the outside. The house and yard are beautiful and serve as a relaxing place to sit relax or read at any time of the day. The bathrooms and rooms are clean and tidy and the bedding is very comfortable. All the hosts are friendly and incredibly helpful in helping you get settled and plan excursions. The food is delicious, home-cooked, and served in large portions which make paying for meals at 10-15 lari an amazing deal. The tours guides the hosts partner with are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.
Cons: I would have liked a bed side lamp for reading in the evening. I also would have found it helpful if the full-day and half-day tour listings included hour durations so that I could have better planned my time there. I was only able to spend time sightseeing on Saturday and left feeling I could have seen more of the valley if I had been able to coordinate my half-day tour option a little better.
Pros: The food was really delicious! And the staff is soo nice and welcoming, this makes the whole stay even more pleasant.
Pros: Spotlessly clean yet warm and inviting. We were welcomed into Nazys guesthouse by Nazy who was excited and proud to share her house, community and beautiful natural surrounds with us. Nazy went out of her way to accommodate our wishes - helping us understand the region, book horse riding, try local dishes, preparing us a packed lunch for hiking and organising a private taxi back to Tbilisi. The beds were the most comfortable in Georgia, every dish was amazing and the garden of the guesthouse was lush, green and relaxing, with bubblegum flavoured grapes hanging off the vines. We felt like we got a great taste of this interesting and beautiful region because we chose to stay with Nazy.
Pros: Michelin Guide rates places for years and three-star restaurants are “places with exceptional cooking worth a special trip for”. Using their methodology I would say that in terms of hospitality and customer service Nazy Guesthouse is 3 star experience which means this place is worth special trip to Georgia.
Pros: Without a doubt, my stay at Nazy’s was the highlight of my trip to Georgia. The guesthouse itself is top-notch - quiet, clean, with restaurant quality food - it makes you feel like home. But more importantly, it’s a unique cultural experience - you get to learn about Chechen / Pankisi culture, history and cuisine. Last but not least, you get to meet Nazy, who is a true inspiration in terms of what’s done for the local community.
Green Tianeti is located in Tʼianetʼi and features free bikes, a shared lounge and a garden. At the hostel each room has a wardrobe and a TV. Continental and buffet breakfast options are available daily at Green Tianeti. You can play table tennis at the accommodation, and car hire is available. Pros: Really lovely helpful hosts (speaking English and Russian), nice garden to sit in. Easy to find.
Cons: Unfortunately on the night we stayed it was very full of crazy noisy annoying guests who stayed up very late. And there only appeared to be one bathroom for all of these people.
Pros: Superb food, both for breakfast and for the dinner we were offered when we arrived.
Cons: One very large bathroom (upstairs, plus another downstairs through the dining room), but perhaps not enough given there are five or six bedrooms.
Pros: Everything was great. The hosts were pleasant. They helped us with dinner. Thanks
