We always get king suites with Hampton Inn, and have yet to be disappointed. This particular suite seemed a little bigger than average. Perhaps it was the floor plan.

Convenient to a Chinese restaurant (east ocean - 1 block away) where we were guests for a birthday banquet. Easy to find through the Webster Street tunnel to Alameda. Cold drinks machine on every floor. Breakfast room could not accomodate all the guests wanting food at the same time. Encourage guests to take beakfast trays to their rooms.
Excellent buffet breakfast, helpfulness of staff
First, I found that staying in Alameda as opposed to San Francisco, our destination, was not a bad idea at all. Parking is available and included. The room was spacious and clean. Continental breakfast was excellent; it included everything you would expect in a decent hotel. The mattresses were too soft for me, but the pillows were nice.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a minor issue with the room which they attempted to resolve immediately. It was also nice to have a decent size room with a separate sitting and sleeping area after having been in a room for about the same price across the bay that was a third the size. It was also 2 blocks from the Fireside which is a bar that one of my friends opened. That was the only reason I was staying in Alameda at all ;-) The pancakes were pretty lousy (Sam liked the waffles though). The air conditioning would not shut off in the room and we had to have someone come and fix it. They were super helpful though and offered us another room.
I appreciated the buffet breakfast, morning paper, fitness center and suite design of the room which allowed me to have a separate area for my laptop. It was also convenient to public transportation and close to two good restaurants and a drugstore. Moderate street noise (mainly from sirens), but not a huge problem.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. the room was spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable to work in. I did not like it that the taxi driver who the hotel called in, did not have a meter and asked a higher price for the ride to the airport than the meter would show.
Clean and people were very nice there. The decor in the room was wonderful. Bathroom had a stool for ladies like me to put on their makeup. Full breakfast was the best of all. If we want to stay overnite again we would be staying there. No complaints at all!!

It's a quiet neighborhood not much noise at night TV's need to be upgraded and the bathrooms need some work as well.
Staff was nice. By the water. Nice pillows. Rustin the bathroom. Small room. Rooms are adjoining and there is a lockes door which other people tried to open. Ceiling in the bathroom was cracked. Bed was uncomfortable. TV remote didn't work.

We had a great stay. Jeremias was absolutely the BEST manager I've ever seen. Extremely helpful. He went out of his way to print out two separate sets of directions when we realized our group had been split up. He was quick to deliver extra pillows. The breakfast was fully stocked when he was there. Construction on our building started at 730am. So much for sleeping in. I was surprised we weren't warned. The last day we were there (Jeremias wasn't) breakfast was skimpy. Our plan was to lounge around until check out time but we promptly left when we realized the construction in our building wasn't stopping.
We liked the location and the friendliness of the staff. The bed was remarkably in good shape. Small room, not well maintained and a bit dirty. The linens were shabby.

It was conveniently close to my work. Manager was horrible with his customer service and could not accommodate my needs when I had issues with the room not having most outlets working to charge my devices for work. The room itself was really outdated and needed remodeling, most of their lamps didn't work either. The shower was a bit dirty and worn out. Overall a bad experience that I had to just leave.
I liked the waterfront area, the pool, the breakfast was good... It was quaint & nice outside of the room. It wasn't super conveniently located to stores or anything else for that matter. The room was small. The shower was a tiny closet with no tub.

Paid extra to get a nicer room with a king size bed, instead I got a very cheap room that needed remodel with a king size bed that the sheets were too small to fit it. The sheets didn't even stretch to the edge, they were just laid on the mattress and during the night it came half off. I woke up during the night several times because of that. When complained in the morning they just said sorry to hear that but refused to give any kind of compensation.
Room layout, beds, a lot of outlets, very clean HUGE construction project in the middle atrium, hence noise and no restaurant. Bathroom amenities very, very limited - need to ask for basic things like Q-tips and other (yes, they are available - a nice list in the room) but having only soap and shampoo in the room is not sufficient

Location Valet and bell hops were friendly and helpful. First check attempt was not successful due to a power outage that only affected the computers. Employee was also rude and really should find a job that does not involve working with people. Attempted to order food to go in the restaurant, after waiting for 25mns while the waiter was watching a football game we gave up and left. Rooms were dated and dingy. Would not recommend as a platinum passport member.
The hotel was very clean and the staff was very pleasant and polite. We were staying for one night before having to be at the UCSF children's hospital the next day and we all slept like babies. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linen was very soft overall we had a great stay.

Location. Under much needed renovation. Would have been nice to know at time of booking. Air filter so plugged air wouldn't flow. Toilet wouldn't stop running. Blood on comforter. No coffee maker in room. Not at all what you'd expect from a Hyatt. Staff was great when we told them about issues.
Rooms had beautiful view overlooking the hotel Lobby. Size of the rooms are nice. Waited for shuttle over 45 min.. a shuttle from a different Hotel was nice enough to drive us .at 2 am needed maintenance ac was not working .. bathroom was not clean toilet seats for dirty from the last person there.
The hotel was clean & pretty well maintained. The staff were not helpful or friendly. The pool was freezing. The wifi was $10 and parking was very expensive. I was hoping for a nice quick pleasant overnight stay. It was quick but not so pleasant.
Airport Shuttle, Our room as next to the elevators and could hear them going up and down. We should have requested a new room but we arrived late and had to leave very early the next day to catch our flight.

Parking is $25 Come on. Also, Westin withheld $100. from my card for "incidentals" wi/o notification. The cheesy glasses in the room were carefully encased in cheap plastic wrap with the prepared label "SPG Members" affixed to the bottom of each glass, alerting the non-SPG Members that they would be charged for unwrapping the household plastic wrap from the glass if they dared to venture to drink from actual glass rather than from the plastic UNlabeled "glass" next to the special SPG one. The tub drained poorly. This hotel is full of itself and not much else in terms of service and ambiance.
We liked the overall vibe and style. We didn't like the inconsistent customer service and the room vibrated from the restaurant's exhaust fan. (We moved to another room.)
Nicest hotel staff I've encountered in a very long time. They were incredibly accommodating to myself, my husband, and my 2 year old daughter. We had an overnight stay for a connecting flight and the hotel is extremely close to the airport with a very quick and frequent airport shuttle bus. We happened to be stuck there with a delayed flight on my daughters 2 year birthday and when the staff found out they gave us an extended check out and treated the birthday girl to pasta and a birthday brownie. It was a really pleasant surprise for a tired and traveling family. Thank you Westin!!!
Hotel provided shuttles every 15 minutes to the airport. They dropped you off at your gate. Very nice.
The staff was very helpful and the conference rooms and facilities were very nice and what you would expect from the Westin. Room was clean. Good location First thing I was thoroughly disappointed in was the pillows. After traveling I was tired so I immediately fluffed up the pillows to lay down for a short nap. But the pillow cases sounded and felt like paper!!! And 3'outnofnthen4 pillows were so lumpy and flat, not one firm pillow and that combined with uncomfortable pillow cases I woke up with a neck ache. Bed was uncomfortable . And the sound level in our room was so LOUD that we were woken several times by people walking by talking and each room to either left or right we heardbeverybtime the toilet flushed and every conversation or slammed door. Very disappointed in my stay this time. Better soundproofing the rooms..it felt like paper thin walls!
Through Expedia I got a great deal to stay at the Westin for 3 nights and it was great! I stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend and even though it was a holiday the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Nice shower, awesome beds and it's close to the bay so you can just walk outside for a beautiful veiw and walk. Also has a free shuttle and is a short walk to the BART station!

We liked having a free shuttle to the airport as well as the indoor pool. It was great for our one year old to swim and get some energy out before a cross country flight. Staff were very accommodating and provided us with a crib for the room. The hotel restaurant was very expensive, but this is not surprising for San Francisco.

Our oasis on the hill! The Claremont is a special place and I return there whenever I can; the location is central yet private and the staff is friendly, attentive, helpful and genuine. Each staff member, from the housekeeping staff to the manager, smiles and greets guests and is not only ready, but willing, to make your stay enjoyable. When there was an issue at check-in with the room assigned. Frank Flynn quickly and apologetically gave us another room with no question. In chatting with Fracesco (I'm sure I have not spelled his name correctly-my apologies!) in the lobby, we told him we were headed into the city the next day; he not only cautioned us about traffic and crowds in the Golden Gate Park area due to a concert, he recommended alternative areas to visit-and when he saw us a couple of days later, he asked how our trip went! A special shout-out also to Mohammad and Zachary who took care of us for breakfast in the Meritage restaurant-their service standards and guest treatment should be the envy of fine dining establishments everywhere. They made the start of our days happy and pleasant and really made an impact of the pleasure of staying at the Claremont! The charm of an old beauty like the Claremont is also sometimes what makes you miss some things you might find in a newer hotel; the HVAC system can be unreliable and loud, the bathroom does not have an exhaust fan, etc. But having noted that, the graciousness of the wide hallways and high ceilings easily make you overlook those modern facility differences!
Staff was very good. Room service excellent and the pools were great. I asked for a taxi to take me to SFO. Instead of a taxi, they had reserved a sedan which was more expensive than a taxi. I thought it was a little bit cheesy. I'm sure that some people want to drive to the airport in a fancier car but they should specify. I asked for a taxi, not a town car.
Nice pool, spa and exercise facilities. My kids had a blast at the pool - it was nicely heated and they enjoyed it despite the cooler February weather. Our room was below one of the hotel's restaurants. 6am on a sunday morning and isn't a great time to be woken up to the sounds of tables and chairs being moved. It's an old hotel so it's pretty loud. When I checked out they gave me a bit of a discount and said that when we checked in that the front desk should have warned us that our room was loud... they really just shouldn't rent out the rooms or if they do charge less.... but they'd rather put guests in a position where they have to complain to get a discount. Even with the discount if was an expensive weekend that wasn't as restful as you'd expect for the money.
Wonderful location. Grand old building which has been well maintained. It had been some years since I last stayed there and the place seemed in better shape than it was.
The Sunday buffet at the Meritage was very good. The lap swimming in the pools and 3 free hours of childcare included in the resort fee was also very nice and an unexpected bonus. Ridiculously overpriced for what it was. $26 resort fee and $30 valet fee on top of over $200/night for a tiny old room that wouldn't even pass muster at a Best Western? The room was awful - outdated, small, old, musty and generally uncomfortable. Noisy from the hallway, the bed was saggy, the comforter stained and 2 adults plus a baby in a crib were way too many to fit in a tiny standard room.
Loved the look of the place from the outside..altho you quickly feel like an inconvenience being shuffled out of the way. The hotel is rich with history and has very nice decor..the room was big, with a big bathroom. The trexk to the room was ridiculous, having to take two elevators and very long walks on different levels while carrying your things. The room floor needed vacuumed, you could feel stuff on the carpet. After we checked in, we left to go get dinner and you can't get out of the gate without a special card given at the front desk. Well guess what- oh, and it cost $30 for this parking privilege.
Location - close to everything including freeways. Facilities were excellent -- pool, exercise room, etc. They treated me like a second class citizen because I booked not directly through them. Promised me a fridge and I had to find a facilities guy who didn't talk to the front desk to get one. Told me there was a free breakfast buffet, but then it wasn't free.
Staff was great. When we checked in room wasn't ready but they did have an upgrade queen to king for $35 per night more. They charge $30 per day to park. If you want to take a guest to the pool they charge $30 per day per person. All the up charges made it rather expensive. The Meritage restaurant was not open. Only place to eat was small and not very good. It is an OLD hotel built in 1918 but upgraded. Rooms are small. The elevator permit was 6 months overdue.

The hotel feels like it has all of the upgraded tech and decor a geeky guy like myself want out of a hotel. It was clean, close to the airport, and didn't have any noise coming from any highways or streets. We arrived late in the evening after a long flight to find our room wasn't ready. (at 12:30am) The front office manager said the floors had been cleaned that day, so it might feel a bit damn in the halls. Feeling tried we said Okay, and got our room key and went right to our room. The first thing we see is carpet fans scattered all over the room with every moveable piece of furniture stacked on our beds. It took another 45min to get our room switched for one that didn't have any fans, and we were questioned like we made the entire thing up. Only issue we had was the miscommunication from the office manager regarding the overnight parking. I was told it would only be $14 and I would have to use the parking machine in the garage. Well, the machine charges $20 for overnight, and I had actually already been charged $14 for parking on my room bill. So i paid for parking twice...We had to leave for the airport or I would have fought it.
Quick check in and out, courteous staff, and the price was right. However, hotel shuttle took almost 30 minutes to make the full trip between the Hilton and the international terminal. The bedding had some small stains and bathroom was not entirely clean.

The hotel is very good, it has clean facilities and friendly staff. I recommend the hotel for anyone that needs to stay around the SF airport area. I did not like the nightly parking fee. It should be included in the room price.

The fire alarm went off at 5:00am and we had to walk down many flights of stairs. When we got to the lobby we were told it was a false alarm. After returning to the room to get some sleep before an international flight, the alarm kept going off every 15 minutes or so for the next 3 hours. This made for a stressful start to our vacation.
Good location. Rooms are clean and well kept. My friends left 4-5 messages for me but when I checked, I was told there were no messages left for me. So I didn't get to meet up with my friends. Pretty bad.
We stayed at the executive level and the amenities included with that were nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby is pretty run down and dated. The carpet in the lobby is very worn and dirty. The room itself was extremely clean and modern.

We needed a place to stay near SFO that provided free airport shuttle. I found this hotel on Kayak, and while it was more than I had planned to spend for one night, it was worth it! The bed was so very comfortable - I didn't want to get out of it in the morning! The room was exquisitely appointed and the staff was very accommodating despite there being a very boisterous party off the lobby - which spilled into the lobby at times. The front desk staff handled a group of small children who were taking items from the Market Place behind the desk extremely well! Thank you so much! More than I wanted to spend for a hotel room.

It was very nice, location felt safe. Staff was friendly. Pillows and blanket were goose down, very comfy. $25 parking. You run into expensive parking so much in downtown San Francisco that it would have been nice to have lower or none there. The lounge staff, while friendly, seemed to need more staffing. It took a while to be greeted or get our bill. There was no fan in the bathroom so while showering it got very hot fast. They had to add on a hold for an extra $100 on my debit card, just because it was a debit. It's refundable but it has yet to be removed from my bank statement.
The linens were the most comfortable of any hotel I have ever visited, and I have stayed at some of the world's most luxurious hotels. The TV has a huge screen and a supremely clear picture. 4K?? The location is very close to the rental car return agencies. Very clean. The only drawback was the check in. I asked for a quiet room with a bathtub. The first room I was assigned had soaking wet carpet from a recent shampoo. Instead of bringing me a key to another room I had to go down to the lobby again and wait for what seemed like an eternity for them to assign me a different room. The person at the front desk (Yolanda?) laughed when I explained the reason i had to change rooms. Then they had a lot of difficulty figuring out which rooms on the quiet side of the hotel had bath tubs. Once I got to the room however I was extremely comfortable and the room was super quiet. A/C could use a slight boost.
The hotel is easy to access and the quality of the rooms is very high. Not far from the city and really close to the airport Great view of the plane landing and taking off without the sound. very friendly staff A bit on the high side for the price depending on the day you stay.

The front staff went into back room, opened my luggage, and stole an expensive pair of eye glasses: I trusted them with my luggage after check out before flying out at night. The pair of eye glasses cost four times my stay, so it definitely wasn't worth it! I would never stay at this location again, and after OMRAN never returned my calls, I'm reporting them to Travelodge franchising and demanding explanation about why my calls were never returned and staff were allowed to steal my property without a manager getting involved. OMRAN, the manager, is inexistent! I called and left him a number of messages, but he never returned them. They told me first day after stolen gasses that he was sick, and a week later, he was still sick. All he needed to do is return my messages, and promptly, but never did, not even three weeks later. Everytime I call this Travelodge location, the phone has to ring for 5-10 minutes before placed on hold, then disconnected, then call again, and repeat, until an hour later, yes an hour, before front staff talk to me. They really need an extra front staff or manager on mobile to answer phone: so unprofessional! For the price you're paying at a location so isolated from anything San Francisco, it is not worth it even if I wasn't robbed: go somewhere they answer the phone from first three rings. If you have a problem here, you're on your own! Beware! There really are better options downtown and with BART, you get to airport much faster than waiting half hour for their shuttle, which doesn't run late night (if you're downtown on Fri or Sat night, plan to leave downtown by 10 PM or you'll miss the shuttle to this location). I would not recommend this location even if you're waiting for a flight: it's faster taking BART to airport, which takes half time less than the 45-minute shuttle (with drop off), about 20 minutes from downtown San Francisco. Again, there are better options downtown. Don't stay here: if the front staff robbed me, what did they leave for housekeeping? Not worth it.

Literally nothing is good about this hotel except its closeness to the SFO airport. Period! If you EVER have to stay there, NEVER get a room in building 7, it has some of dirtiest rooms I have ever seen in my life. Filthy rooms with suffocating carpet and smoke smell Careless, unfriendly staff (except a lady named Maira, she is super nice). It's obvious that the hotel is under careless ownership and management. I'm REaLLY surprised they still hold the Travelodge license!
This place is extremely close to airport and can be booked via most travel sites at a really low fee in comparison to other places in area. it is a borderline "bring your own sheets" kind of place. The rooms are run down and in the room I had the weatherstripping under the door was mostly detoriated leaving a big gap causing a major draft all night

Easy access to the freeway, not far from tourist spots, clean rooms, warm cookies at check in and out. I'm reserved two queen beds but I'm pretty sure they were full size beds.
The comfort of the bed and the view from the window were the best part. . The location is near nothing so it is better for a business person than a family. There was no fridge but a wine cooler in the room.
Staff was friendly, facilities were very nice and clean. They had a fitness and business center free to use for guests. Very close to the airport. I found a dead bug in the bathtub so I didn't give a 5 star rating.

Great room and value. Hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Hotel lobby was being renovated but it wasn't too noisy and the staff was extra accommodating. For being near the airport, you could not hear very many planes which was nice also. I would recommend it to anyone that is flying in and out of the airport, anyone in SF for business, or like us that was just in the city for the night (and doesn't want to pay over $200). There was nothing near the hotel, it is literally in a little business district which was a little inconvenient when it came to dinner with a toddler. The pool area was really messy.
We have been staying here for 15 years.it is home away from home.
Free parking, free wifi, free airport shuttle, comfortable beds and efficient staff were some of the highlights that we liked the most. But the hotel gives more of a business atmosphere than family although we did not have any problems with young kids. One needs to have a car to stay here as no shops in the vicinity. The GPS didn't show this hotel in the search and instead took us to the South hotel by the same name (more of a GPS problem I believe) but still a further clarity on their website would have been helpful.
A quiet place to stay almost too quiet. My room had a beautiful view of city and water. The transportation service is very poor. A guest without a car is doomed. There's nothing close by I almost felt like I was in a deserted island.

The staff and room were excellent. It was very clean & I liked the decor of the room. The beds were comfy and I found myself not wanting to leave. The complimentary breakfast was very satisfying. The exterior of the hotel was undergoing construction, but they made sure not to start until after 9am. The contractors were very polite and accommodating to the guests as well.

This hotel near the airport was spotless. Newly renovated, the room was modern, and perfectly located for convenience to the airport. The 24 hour shuttle and reasonable rate makes this a good choice for those who want a comfortable stay without all the unnecessary amenities. I would choose the Dylan next time I stay in SFO. On checkout, Sherri was helpful and pleasant notwithstanding the early hour. N/A

Everything was great for a quick overnight stay before heading to the airport. It was really nice to have a late checkout as our plane did not leave until 4pm. Only two complaint, the bed was too soft (more so personal pickiness complaint) and there were few Gluten Free options at breakfast as we both have Celiac Disease.
The hotel is close to the airport and the bart station. They also provide free shuttle between hotel and airport. It is very convenient. The room is very clean and I have good days there. Besides, there are many restaurant around, which I found one day before I left...

The staff was very friendly and it is right in downtown Alameda which is great because it's just a walk to shops, restaurants and bars. Being by the bay was nice considering the price of the room. The decor is from the 80's. It reminded me of staying in an old cabin, the room was huge with a balcony which was great but the rooms need a serious update. All the furnishings looked like it was found at a garage sale or thrift store but not in a hip way. The pictures of the rooms on the website were a bit deceiving.
The young lady that helped us at the front desk was kind and very helpful. We got an upgrade to a upstairs room. The Inn was nicely located across from a large shopping center with plenty of options for shopping and food purchases. The room smelled of old musty cigarettes and it was a non smoking room, The counter and the toilet were ultra low the bathroom sink was 28inches high and the toilet was so low it felt like I was doing squats to sit on the toilet. The bed was very uncomfortable and very broken down in the middle like a soup bowl. the T.V. remotes did not work, not a big deal but noted. The place has not been updated in many years it seemed. and it is very noisy at night due to it be located next to a bowling alley. It felt as though most the guest were like apartment rentals just a weird feel.
The location is excellent, walking distance to beach and shopping Mall with grocery store directly across the street. My stay was business related so Internet access very important. Internet access was great and I was able to work from room daily. Majority of staff extremely friendly and helpful. Traveling solo, I felt very safe at this location. Would stay again and recommend to others.V Very satisfied with my accommodations. There is nothing to dislike.
This is in an excellent location if you need to get to downtown Oakland without actually staying in the city. It's also near major stores and restaurants. Will stay here again.
Size of the room Fridge and stove not to fat from San Francisco The lobby and ailse rug was dirty. We had to ask every night for 4 towels eventhough we hung the towels to make sure they will not be changed Lack of table for breakfast.
Staff is friendly and facilities and grounds were very clean. While very clean, the rooms, especially the bathrooms, are worn and dated.

My family and I have stayed there multiple times and have enjoyed it each time. Helped us to discover the quant was of Alameda. The bathrooms are in need of refreshing.

I really liked everything about this place. My room was very stylish, and it came with all the usual amenities. The room was smaller, so I'm not sure if I would be happy there if I had to share the space with someone else. I don't know if all the rooms are that size, or if I just got a small room because I was by myself. For just me, it was the perfect size. The AC works well, which I've come to learn isn't a given at many "upscale" hotels. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is right in the center of everything in Berkeley, so there are plenty of restaurants, drugstores, cafes, etc. within walking distance. It is conveniently located next to the downtown Berkeley BART station. I didn't have a car, so I didn't need to deal with parking, but I imagine it's not easy or cheap. The restaurant has really good food. There is plenty of seating in the lobby/bar area to meet with people to discuss business or have a couple drinks. I just really liked it here. They focus so much on helping each customer as much as possible, that several of us stood waiting at the check in desk for a really long time while one obnoxious customer waxed poetic about all the things he wanted to do while he was in Berkeley. They need to be more conscious of calling for help when a line starts to form.
Since my son started attending Berkeley two years ago, I only stay at the Hotel Shattuck when visiting him. Thus far, I've stayed at there six times. I have NEVER been disappointed in the accommodations. Admittedly, some reviewers complain about the price. But, hey, considering the location, accommodations, staff, and amenities, I'm not going to complain.
I've stayed here several times over the last few years; I had a flawless, enjoyable experience each time. This last trip they even held some rather bulky packages / equipment which had arrived a week early for work, without question. The staff is always friendly, rooms are immaculately clean, and the location (right across Allston from the Downtown Berkeley BART, a block off Berkeley's campus, and close to several good dining experiences) is excellent.
Rooms were fine. Hotel was clean. Reception and bar service awful. Card keys did not work. A/C stopped working. Small, crowded lobby. Shattuck area is not inviting.
Bar & restaurant were under renovation-- if I had known at time of booking I would have stayed somewhere else
Conveniently located in downtown Berkeley, across the street from the BART station and a couple blocks from the Cal campus. Some nice restaurants and bars nearby. Very nice accommodations and this was the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in. I never heard a single sound outside of my room. Rooms are a bit small but still very nice and comfortable.
Every staff member I encountered was smiling and went out of their way to say hello, open doors, offer to help, etc. Very impressive!
We booked through this site New Years Eve evening. Most hotels were full or costly. But we found this great deal at a great price. It over look the San Francisco bay, where we watched the fireworks at midnight. The night manager was very accommodating to our needs, especially with parking. To find a reasonable price room at a good hotel like the Hilton, I will recommend to everyone to use this site.

The View and breakfast were great Elevator was dinging all night....and yes being so close to the elevator probably didn't help, but that is something that they should be able to mute for individual floors as needed
The location was excellent for what we wanted to do. We were greeted warmly by the front desk. Our room was comfortable. Though we only stayed for one day, we were glad to have chosen this hotel. The water temp for the shower took awhile to get warm. Also, the tub water didn't drain properly.
Easy highway access and good response to requests. We had booked three rooms for a family business trip. One room had a cracked sink, two rooms had ill fitting front doors which let so much light under the door as a light was left on. One room had drapery that had holes in it.
Location is easy Mattress was terrible woke up several times and eventually had a bad back in the morning. The room looks like the cheapest remodeling from the 80's.
I had a room I requested an early check-in by e-mail. I received a text saying I could check in at 2pm. Staff told me check in is at 3pm, period. Did not even check to see if rooms were available.

Easy highway access, decent size room and good response to problems. We didn't like being charges 15 a day for parking and that the common areas were unkept even in the early mornings, ie overflowing garbage cans, ashtrays and glasses left from the night before on the patio area.

Great room set up. Good desk and chair for a business traveler. Like the coffee in the lobby now as well. Sad you have done away with glassware in the room. I think of motels as having paper cups and nice hotels provide glasses. I enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day and don't like it in a paper cup. You have also dropped the level of amenities provided in the bathroom.
The bilinds were not fully functional. Minor maintenance. That's all.
Check in was a bad experience. We got in late and while waiting in line to check in the people working the desk would let guests jump to the front of the line to ask 'quick' questions about chargers and restaurants. It was pretty frustrating. The employees didn't encourage it - but when the guests cut they did nothing about it. Neither did I though. The pipes in the ceiling were leaking in the hall where my room was and trash cans were out to collect the water. It was like that when I arrived but cleaned up by the time I left. There was no issue with noise though.

I like the fact that the hotel was closed to everything that we needed from restaurants, bars and drugstores. The hotel staff were very friendly from the valet attendant to the front desk. Our flight got delayed and they were able to accommodate our check-in time. We understand that parking is an issued around the city but we thought it was expensive for the hotel to charge $45 for valet parking and there are a lot of homeless people walking around. I wouldn't walk around the city by yourself at night.

From the first contact by phone, to checking out on my day of departure, my stay was great. I came to visit my daughter and two grandsons,ages 3 and 5. We all stayed in the hotel. I had chosen a room with a single king bed as the boys are used to co-sleeping with their parents. The hotel staff upgraded me to a disabled accessible room with two queen beds when they discovered I had disabilities. There was no extra charge for this.The boys were rambunctious and noisy but the rooms were insulated enough that the noise does not appear to have bothered any of the other guests. Once day the maid vacuumed our room twice as the boys had made a mess on the floor. They brought us extra towels within minutes of my call to the front desk and when I discovered the hair dryer was damaged, they replaced it while we were having breakfast. And speaking of breakfast, it was tasty, varied and nicely presented. Plenty of options, including a large rice cooker filled with rice for the many Asian students who were in the hotel. Nice touch. Once the wait staff saw that there were children in our party they had a high chair at our table before we got back from the buffet. When I was checking in for my flight home, on the computer provided by the hotel, I got a little confused and staff graciously and quickly helped me. I was impressed with the value of the hotel as well. Using Booking.com I found a rate of $120 per night. This fit nicely into my budget. One other thing I want to note is that my brother has traveled all over the world for his work but when he is on personal trips he says he books Best Western as he feels the hotels provide a high level of service, nice accommodations and value for dollar. Very pleased I followed his recommendation. The shower in the disabled accessible room has a low tile rim around the shower pan to allow for wheelchair access if necessary. It is probably not something that can be solved, but the rim allows too much water to splash over onto the regular floor and requires a lot of towels to soak up the water. Otherwise everything else was good

Good location. Close to the airport. Complimentary shuttle service to/from airport. Booked a room with 1 King bed. When I arrived, I was told they any had rooms with 2 Queen beds available. They seemed more like twin beds.
The staff was friendly, I couldn't hear the neighbors and my room was clean. I issued some of my complaints to the front desk and they refunded my 8 dollar parking fee. Creaking bed, broken light switch, single night stand between two people, unpluggable bath tub, being asked to conserve water when the toilet flushed in excess of 3 to 5 gallons a pull, the closed pool, broken floor number by the elevator sitting on the floor, very minimal exercise room, paying 8 dollars for a completely full parking lot, the hotel stinking of smoke on a non smoking floor, stairs don't lead to the lobby, etc. I paid over 100 dollars for one night and left underwhelmed.
One of the best dinners I've had at an airport hotel. Friendly staff. Good shuttle service. There was nothing to dislike. I asked for a special room and they gladly moved people around so long could have my choice.

The room was clean and they had a great breakfast. The staff was un friendly and unwilling to help when I asked to switch rooms due to our room being located on the 8th floor next to the roof access. Apparently we only booked a queen bed that's why we were in that room. When I asked what could be done about it he told me I would have to pay extra to move my room IF they even have any available. Also, we had to pay for parking $7 a night which I was not aware of or else I would've stayed else where. We had to put a parking permit in front of the drivers seat window so our car wouldn't get towed. A hotel like this is taking all your money and yet they aren't willing to make your experience nice enough to get you a better room.
The housekeeping staff provided a clean room and nice sheets. I had a room on the top floor, overlooking the nearby 101 freeway. The noise from the freeway was unbelievable and I barely slept the entire night. My room was equipped with a large unlocked sliding window with no balcony or railing (Seriously? On the ninth floor?), and I thought maybe it wasn't closed all the way, but it was, it just let a lot of noise through. In addition, there was a door right next to the bed that connected my room to that next to it. This door also lacked proper soundproofing, as I could hear the TV playing over the freeway noise until after 2AM.

I could stay at the window or on the patio for hours watching airplanes taking off and landing. It's amazing. The quality of bedding sets are kinda of old. But considering the price it is fine.
Near the airport, easy to find and driving to. We liked the room a lot. Hence we were positively surprised with this hotel. Clean room, nice facilities also in the room. I can advice this hotel to other ppl. The hotel staff at the Check in point didn't look too friendly and talkative. Other hotels look more friendly.

The breakfast was done well... however, they ran out of certain foods quickly, given the amount of guests. Breakfast staff were polite and worked fast to clear used tables for the next guest. The internet was very sketchy and did not stay ON... we had to keep re-logging back on within 10 minutes... TV was limited and if you wanted to check the 'guide' for it, you have to turn the TV off, then back on to read the guid as it scrolls the second you turn the TV on... we could not find a button to call it up! I explained to the desk clerk that I forgot my nightgown and asked if I could use a hotel bathrobe... I was told those robes were only for a Bay front view room. I said I'm on the first floor looking at the Bay and the clerks told me that floor doesn't count! I think under my cercumstances, I could have been provided with a robe for the two nights we were there.
Big room, very good breakfast, big free parking, free Internet access and cheap (self-service) laundry - you can do a wash for $2.5! Internet is a little slow sometimes.

It was great value for the money. The shuttle bus driver for our drive to San Francisco International at 0911 on October 22, 2010 drove very fast for no apparent reason. He drove around curves at high speed and was forced top apply his brakes very quickly when he approached a red traffic light or curve. It was a Saturday morning with almost no traffic, but he drove as if he was in a hurry to complete his run so he would have more "free' time between runs. Also, when he arrived to pick up guests for the ride to the airport, he talked on his cell phone for over a minute while we waited for him to leave the shuttle vehicle and load our luggage. Overall, he didn't present a very professional image for the hotel and in heavier traffic, his driving would have been dangerous.

The staff was pleasant and the shuttle service was a nice convenience. Initial room assigned was already occupied. Hallways had an unpleasant odor. Building, rooms and furnishings all seemed in need of updating.
Staff was AMAZING. They bent over backwards to help me. They had free shuttle service to Downtown Oakland! Place was clean with delicious, free breakfast. Hands down, though, it was staff that made this place excellent! Nothing. I will stay here again. Best hotel in Oakland!
The check-in folks were friendly. Your description of having rooms on the bay side or a 'view of the city' was very deceiving. The view of the city was a view of interstate 880, and was incredibly noisy since you're located right on the edge of the interstate. It was the noisiest room I have ever stayed in, and there was no way to get any sleep. The rugs were not clean, and the plumbing in the room was poor.

EVERYTHING! The customer service was outstanding, the rooms were large and very clean. Awesome location (it's worth the extra $ to have a water view room). I liked that they offer a free shuttle to Jack London Square. Parking at this hotel is FREE (unlike some other hotels nearby). The pool and bar is really nice, too. There wasn't anything I disliked about this hotel. I will definitely stay if I'm in the area again.

Great experience! Hotel was clean and well-kept. Rooms were very comfortable. Rooms facing the water were extremely quiet at night. A relief after staying at other hotels in Oakland with lots of street noise. Also a delight to look out at the water in the morning. Beds and desks were comfortable. Staff was generally very helpful. A couple times staff were curt, seemed irritated at doing their jobs. Also, they changed their shuttle service to only pick up and drop off at four locations, instead of anywhere within a three mile radius. The shuttle was still extremely helpful, and this wasn't that big of a deal, but it should have been properly advertised on their website ahead of time.
Pool area was too noisy our room was located right above it.
