Loved this place right when I walked in! At first the location of the gate would seem confusing but Karen who is the owner messaged me through the app and gave me clear direction on where I needed to go and it’s hidden away a bit from the main road so it was quiet! Karen was always available she gave me her phone number and everything and they thought of everything it seemed with this place. They had bath salts, a candle, hair dryer, makeup remover wipes, qtips, everything in the bathroom. The kitchen had all the seasonings if you wanted to cook for yourself and plates and cups and all of that. Good place to stay as a solo traveler or a couple. Also fantastic location right in downtown!
Ran out of hot water in my shower at one point but that was the only problem and it was very minor.
The casita is an absolute gem - We experienced superb communication with our host, with easy check in and check out. The place is clean, quiet, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Karen and Ed provide exceptional amenities such as a lovely assortment of teas, coffee, and cookies in the kitchen. They have assembled a comprehensive and up-to-date book of suggested restaurants, groceries, sights, and attractions, as well as instructions for using nearby public transportation. The location is perfect for enjoying Albuquerque. We would most definitely stay here again.
Nothing -it is perfect!
The property was very clean and very comfortable. The attention to detail was above & beyond!!!
Unlocking the sliding glass door was a little tricky but not that bad.
The code was simple and the host ensured I had it in advance with all the instructions needed. Once inside, there is an amazing guidebook put together to give a jumpstart on my stay for groceries, bakeries, and coffee.
I can think of NOTHING negative to say about this wonderful place.
The location is great no matter where you’re going, easy access to 40 and I-25, close to downtown. The decor is an homage to MCM and is completely fun, plus it was sparkling clean. The linens on the bed were very nice and the towels were big and soft. The kitchen is well appointed. The hosts are friendly and invisible, which is a nice combo.
Not necessarily a negative for everyone, but there is a lot of ambient light at night. If you are an insomniac (like me), bring a sleep mask and you’ll be fine.
Thanks for looking at our Mid-Century Modern, light-filled guesthouse nestled in a quiet neighborhood in downtown Albuquerque. Although we are new to VRBO/HomeAway, we've been renting this space for over two years on another platform and get great reviews. Our new-construction casita offers easy access to downtown restaurants, cafes, and nightlife and only a few blocks from the zoo, green spaces and the Rio Grande river trail. Albuquerque's Old Town and its beautiful museums are within a short distance by bicycle or car. When you're not out exploring, relax in the secure and private courtyard. This rental is perfect for couples, retirees, solo adventurers, and business travelers. "If all vacation rental properties were this lovely and well-appointed, hotels would go out of business.” “This is a luxury space - art-filled, immaculately maintained.” THE SPACE - This light-filled and cheerful casita has easy access to a private courtyard and reserved parking area, all on one level. Adjoining our home, this quiet and welcoming space is designed with your privacy in mind. Your private casita has a full kitchen and dining area that can double as a working space, a sitting area with Roku, cable television and a DVD player and a variety of DVDs, and a private courtyard with seating and water-feature. At the end of the day (or the beginning) enjoy a hot shower or a long luxurious soak in the steeping tub. Turn in at night in the expansive, medium-firm king-sized bed. This property has a very energy efficient HERS rating of 50. The whisper-quiet split unit ensures you’ll be cozy and comfy on the chilliest of nights while staying cool in the summer. THE NEIGHBORHOOD - The best of Albuquerque is right outside the door. This mixed-use neighborhood includes single family homes, apartment buildings, bakeries, cafes, pubs and restaurants, parks, and nightlife on historic Route 66/Central Avenue. We love being able to bike or walk to the Bosque River Trail - a Cottonwood forest flanking the Rio Grande River. Within a few blocks: Many parks, river nature trail, Albuquerque Zoo, The Rail Yards market (seasonal), downtown Albuquerque, Route 66 shops, abundant restaurants and coffee shops, Silver Street Market, and the downtown Grower's Market (Saturday's mid-April – October). Old Town, Tiguex Park, and museums are a short drive or bike ride away. GETTING AROUND - The Rail Runner train and Greyhound bus station are seven blocks away. Local buses run regularly. Convenient bike rentals are available throughout the city. Lyft and Uber are also options.
