10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Cafe and hotel staff friendly.
Cons: Parking is limited to 2 spaces in a VERY TIGHT underground car park that suits a Fiat 500 or smaller car. Breakfast was limited.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The reception staff were so helpful and pleasant . Little bathroom essentials
Cons: Bathroom was really drafty /cold
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, large bed and bathroom
Cons: Tiny TV, no fridge , no kettle or in room tea making facilities and low power sockets so not strong enough to charge phones
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The food for menu of the day was substantial.
Cons: The hotel staff in Spain do not fulfil the needs of a UK traveller whether for business or pleasure. They are not trained to welcome a guest and are often disinterested or just downright rude!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: As above, we live Alcala.
Cons: The heater wasn't very hot but that was the only thing.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean room. Very comfortable bed and a great view of Park from balcony. Nothing flash but would use again.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms above a bar that serves delicious food
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and restaurant below the hostal. The host/owner was extremely helpful and called the hotel manager/owner for us. She opened up within 20 minutes.
Cons: No attendant on site or perhaps limited hours. We selected a 3rd floor room and with the windows open we had extensive vehicle fumes and noise. In room air conditioner did not work. Host was reluctant to take my credit card, repeatedly asking for cash but then pulling out the CC machine. Also, the internet is slow, much like the old dial-up. The bar has better web speed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located in Alcala la Real where the narrow streets of the old town meet newer, wider shop lined streets. Although the cafe attached to the hotel was closed there was a nice place for breakfast a short distance away.
Cons: No one was there when I arrived. I telephoned but struggled due to my lack of Spanish. However the lady in charge got the message and came to let me in.
7.5 Good
Pros: A good location for access to tourist sites and a friendly and good value bar and restaurant.
Cons: No parking at hotel and on street parking challenging although underground paying car park nearby.

4.6 Okay
Pros: Sunny bedroom.
Cons: Shut down manual roller blinds did not work on two windows. No room towel/cleaning service on all public holidays and Sundays about which we would have accepted if we had been informed about such in advance. Towel rail kept falling off. Rarely anyone on reception available ,yet demand payment and passports, when they are walking through the downstairs area,...and we had to ask three times to give our documents...the manager was always in a rush, and was very rude to us when we mistakenly got out of the lift on the wrong level, . Overcharged after having to stay on longer. Coffee tea and toiletries never replaced after day 1. Noisy street below. No window enclosure to ensure against noise. Recommended by a local estate agent, evidently on commission , and who, negated better accomodation in the nearby area at a more reasonable price. If it was not for the help of a local bar...and because our mobile fone would not function to call the absentee owner, we would not have had any accomodation. in the first place.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent. I liked the generous, tasteful, considerate attitude of the owners. Thanks. You were great.
Cons: Minor negative point simply because you're asking. A bedside light and a bedside power point to charge my phone while in bed would have been handy.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The property was clean
Cons: There was no heating on in the bedrooms or hotel at all, you could breathe smoke as it was so cold. Also the hot water was switch off
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fabulous and the location outstanding
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location (in a small valley between mountains) is spectacular and absolutely silent. The family owners are fantastic people and nothing was too much trouble. They speak absolutely no English and we speak almost no Spanish, but we had a fantastic and funny time trying to communicate via our phrase book and Google Translate which actually made the stay. Thankfully, they have a great sense of humour. The food in the restaurant was fantastic - I'm glad we didn't stay longer or we wouldn't have fitted back in our plane seats! The room was immaculately clean. We will stay in touch with the owners and will visit again.
Cons: Although breakfast was listed from 7-30am, often there was nobody about until 8-30 or so. There is no Wi-Fi and because of the location in the mountains, no cell service. This means that while there, you are completely cut-off - both good and bad!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is a rustic picturesque property, remote and quiet. The couple who run it are helpful and very friendly, but only speak Spanish - very good practice for us. There is an onsite bar and restaurant and a terrace with views over the countryside. We had a good breakfast on the terrace in the sunshine. The property is a good 15 minute windy drive out of Charilla in Hoa de Charilla - not on the map!
Cons: There is no phone reception never mind Internet!!! And no separate bedside lights.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was run by a wonderful family, the area is quite remote but beautiful and we really enjoyed the stay it was more of an adventure. The food was incredibly good and we were made to feel very welcome. Perfect!!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, quiet and lovely staff
