Great town location, very central and great for exploring the Rioja wine region. Breakfast included would have been even better
we were visiting vineyards,it was very central for easy access. no
situation - easy to find, easy to walk around the city Parking was tight and limited
Central Position Creaking floors, noisy plumbing, very small bathroom. Overall, just not a 4 star hotel
The central location was first class and the underground parking a real bonus (although at an extra cost). The staff were extremely helpful.
No Or limited english spoken
A great room for families. Plenty of space for parents and two children, even with their own beds.
Room was very nice, good toilitries that I needed and slippers for sore feet. Internet access was very valuable. Hotel very central and great value for money. Staff made no effort to be friendly whatsoever.
The fact that it was so central and easy to find Room service was poor - dinner delivered cold!
Clean, comfortable (air conditioned). close to centre Could hear traffic early in morning
They kindly repaired my boots!!
I liked location very much. It is excellent location for exploring Logrono. The breakfast was spot on with quality food served. I liked everything.
The jacuzzi and the breakfast and the central atrium seating area. Also view across the bridge.
A lady (staff) in the restaurant
The staff was very nice. I accidentally book the room of the wrong night. They did not have any more rooms at the same rate so I had to take a junior suite. The suite I felt was overpriced for the quality of the room, but all in all it was not a bad experience. No free parking for guests.
Location was perfect for a visiting the old part and the tapas bars. The staff were very helpful and spoke good english. The secure car park was very useful as we were tavelling to the ferry with much luggage. The hotel was quite a walk to the modern shopping area. Even though the car park was secure you needed a member of staff to ensure you manoeuvred safely into a parking place
the room was nice, the spa area with sauna and jacuzzi was great. the staff was incredibly rude and wasn't shy to openly make fun of non-spanish speaking guests, not only about us, but other foreign visitors as well. we have never felt that unwelcome ever anywhere else.
The room was very modern and clean. The restaurant and cafe were very nice with good wine
The hotel was very welcoming, bright and new. The rooms were good and the sauna and jacuzzi were a nice extra. The situation of the hotel is good overlooking the river, park and mountains. Most of the staff were very helpful especially as we do not speak Spanish. It would be nice to have coffee/tea making facilities in the room but I think that is mainly in England.
The room was amazing, and we were in town during the fiesta de san mateo an experience everyone should try at least once. The whole town shuts down and partys.
Situated directly on the camino de Santiago, easy to find The gentleman at reception acted very surprised that two women with backpacks showed up in his lobby and seemed skeptical that we had a reservation.
The location was excellent for the town. Good to have garage facilites on site and fairly easy access. Clean, modern and pleasant hotel. Very efficient receptionist. We weren't told cost of breakfast nor any info about it in our oom. So didn't eat at hotel. Room was quite small.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful!
it is central the rooms were very dark and cold
poor dining facilities. Internet direction information bad.
the location was excellent and on the doorstop of the historic centre with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. the service in the restaurant at breakfast was appalling. Also the cold food and bread on the buffet was not replenished when it ran out. We also waited 20-25 mins for the hot food to be replaced and in the end we and several other guest decided we could not wait any longer for this. On checking out we explained this and were charged for continental breakfast only.
very clean and comfortable easy to get to our places we wanted to be no coffee facilities in room and vending coffee yuk
Central, comfortable, clean When first checking in, hotel staff (a guy) was abrupt and surly, not very welcoming at all
Beautiful design , excellent food and good service in a very pleasant and quiet setting . Ideal for a few days of relaxing ;
The location and hotel itself. The breakfast staff were exceptional. The reception staff were poor and ill-informed. My room had a wine stained rug and the glasses were not neither removed nor cleaned every day.
Everything! It should be a little bit cheaper
everything.the staff was excellent.so nice and trying to help in every single detail. So profesional. nothing.absoLutely perfect in any case.
The location and design of the buildings are excellent, the rooms extremely comfortable and the staff friendly and attentive. The spa is very good, as are the staff who run it, and the food is of very high quality. The breakfasts were particularly good as was the staff who looked after them The gourmet restaurant food is first class, but there could have been an a la carte choice rather than two long tasting menus. Service in the bistro was occasionally slow. On nights when the gourmet restaurant is closed, one needs to know that one may need to book the bistro early. We were fortunately able to eat the same food in the bar
unique hotel with fantastic facilites and service but at a price few can afford very limited common area around the hotel. all usable space is perhaps unsprisingly vineyards.
Being an Architect what brought me to this hotel was obviously the design by Frank Ghery. On arrival I was taken aback by the setting and a scenery.Rooms are beautiful and very comfortable.
I liked the expansive grounds and the view of the vineyards from our bedroom window. I thought the maintenance on the building wasn't great, the bathroom was small, telephone didn't work, the shower controls were difficult and stuck on boiling hot, and the bath was tiny - just as well I am not obese
Beautiful big rooms and amazing scenery. The restaurant tasting menu was unbelievable! The decor and ambiance in restaurant was lacking. Though the food made up for everything!! A little too pricey too for the hotel being kind of empty.
it's proximity to the city centre and the local tapas bars, underground parking is a must outside windows needed cleaning badly..inside was spotless, very noisy outside in the night but expepected because of great location
no one bothered us ;could come and go as we liked, friendly efficient staff.
The atmosphere of the town of Logrono. The hotel room had lots of facilities and we enjoyed our stay. It was rather noisy. Perhaps if we had been on the top floor (we were on the 4th) it would have been less noisy
the location the hotel staff was not friendly nor were they at all helpful in making our stay pleasant
Centre of town and able to walk through the excellent tapas bars
Very close to all the emeneties, tapas, shopping, culture The only problem was whilst there, they were doing repairs to the road, therefore a little problem with the car. When finished it will be excellent and easy to get to the hotel and its car park
The main advantage of this hotel is its location - in the historical centre of the town and about 50 meters from the famous "tapas street". The room was rather big, clean and quiet, the stuff works pretty good - this place is worth its price. It was tricky to find the way to the hotel on the car. It was necessary to move about 100 meters on the pedestrian road and our car navigator couldn't build the proper route.
The Hotel is situated in the heart of Logroño with many bars and restaurants.
It is difficult to say what ius best about the hotel. All ptretty average and in poor location Located in the wrong part of town. Really suitable as a hotel for business people rather than tourists
Definately the best value for money and asthetic appeal of the three hotels we stayed at in Spain I had a small cockroach in the bathroom overnight
General location and secure parking for motorcycle. No bar or restaurant.
Good basic hotel with a great breakfast. The breakfast is worth the money. The location is in the edge of twin and not near old town but logrono is small and you could walk to anything from this location. Area is safe and clean.
room with a nice view staff very very unpolite
The room was good value for money; the breakfast was reasonable. The staff are helpful and the wifi system in the lobby is functional. There are too few decent restaurants near the hotel. To go shopping in town requires the use of a car.
Modern and comfortable
The hotel whas quiet, clean, confortable Nothing
The town was clean and buildings both in the new part and the old town were impressive No
The hotel was clean and located in a quiet area of the city. The staff was very polite. The breakfast was expensive.
the hotel was very well located and very friendly staff. They had accommodations that were great for all of us. Parking was difficult
quiet room used for the celebrations of the PP party on election night during our stay, hotel crowded and communal areas noisy - would have preferred to know this in advance
Location was perfect, seconds away from the old city, and a short drive from the vineyards. The walls seemed to be made of cardboard.
Large room and central location Bar service was poorly manned and the Gym/sauna was 5 minutes from the premises
Good room and bathroom better. Staff very helpful. Good choice for breakfast. They had an agreement with a very good local gym. Considering there was a tile floor I was surprised how dirty it was but it wouldn't put me off going back.
Stayed there just for one night during San Mateo, from friday to saturday. Normally is it nearly impossible to get a room in Logrono this weekend, but I was lucky. The price was raised because of the feria, but it was still good value. I'm planning a trip back next year and it's possible I will book a room for the whole feria at this hotel. Most of the bullfighters and their staff live here. I didn't like the staff looking at my feet because I was wearing sandals! It isn't that high up!
central,clean, welcoming and in Logrono!
The valet parking service was very helpful. The location could not have been better and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
This hotel was excellent value for money and staff were very friendly and helpful. Very clean and the breakfast was one of the best that we had. We stayed here to visit the Rioja bodegas but the tapas bars in Logrono were amazing.
Excellent location to tour La Rioja region in Spain. Reception staff extremely helpful in arranging access to local wineries closed due to a national strike.
Really nice hotel - good service, friendly staff and all the facilities you need - the bar was open late and breakfast good. Also the restaurant upstairs is pretty good and good value. The only downside is that the hotel is situated a bit away from the town - about a 15 minute walk but it is seriously uphill on the way there. But we drove up the hill and could park easily and for free.
Free use of the internet. Personel taste, but the decor of the room is of an individual taste and would not be ours.
this is our second visit to this hotel, we found as previously clean and comfortable accomodation. the location was fantastic, good access to the town and local area my only disapointment was that the main restaurant was not available on sunday evenings, the alternative was food offered in the bar area, which was a limited menu.
Ideally situated in the Rioja region and also handy for the short trip to Bilbao to catch the lunchtime ferry home.
Staff were very friendly. Childrens inside play area. WiFi in hotel did not go out to pool area.
The food was excellent - chef very gifted. everything was great - loved our stay in Laguardia so much we extended by 2 extra days
An efficient and helpful reception. The room was comfortable and clean, with a good outlook. A good buffet breakfast. In a bar with only one other customer, who seemed to be a friend of the barman, being totally ignored when we entered and tried to order - the long conversation with the barman's friend being obviously of greater importance. My wife was given the smallest measure of wine I have ever seen poured in Spain. Later, a Spanish couple queried the smallnes of the wine measure, and were told that it was the Internationally agreed measure! We asked at reception to see the restaurant menu, but when we wanted to dine were told the restaurant was closed and we would have to eat in the bar cafe. The food was cold and unpalatable, and overpriced.
Free parking (if you don't use their underground garage). Swimming pool & less than a 10 minute walk to the beautiful old town
Rooms were very big and very clean!!! Super location. A small thing....Floors are wooden and cleaning staff wears shoes that make alot of noise in the morning!!!
Pleasant hotel in a very good location at the edge of Logrono old town. Near to a very good collection of tapas bars!
Very near to city centre and the decoration was modern. Staff was very helpful. No place to settle the luggages. If there is an electric kettle for having some hot water would be better.
Location. No View from room
Directly on the Camino de Santiago so perfect for a bit of luxury overnight. Our room overlooked The Way so we could watch the other pilgrims. Room was fine and staff very helpful. Would definitely recommend.
The sytle and comfort of the hotel and its location. Morematerial for travellers in English
clean and modern, very helpful staff, excellent breakfast service directions from web site link were not clear, 1 way streets and pedestrianised area made car access complex.
Visited local museums and ate the excellent food outside the hotel. The interior parking is awful. underground with an illogical layout too small for a new renault Megane in most places. Beds excessively low.
Good size rooms with comfortable beds and good washroom fascilities
Having dinner on the rooftop terrace and the fact that the hotel staff was willing to make it happen. The day time staff (male employee from Belgium) was extremely helpful and accommodating. Definitely a hotel to consider if traveling to the Rioja region.
Everything - the rooms are great, the hotel is beutiful
Fascinating design/architecture. Beautiful interior and exterior lighting. Comfort. Interesting location. Friendly, helpful staff. Some noise in evening from terrace under our room window. Limited choice of bar food, if you didn't want restaurant meal.
Good hotel staff and very good breakfast. Unluckily, stayed in room101 where noisy hotel generators were audible all night making an uncomfortable and sleepless night.Other rooms are presumably much better and don,t have this problem.
Comfortable, very modern hotel with helpful staff. If staying more than 2 nights then the evening food options in the hotel become limited.
A comfortable and quiet city centre hotel with secure parking and a pleasant swimming pool for no more than two concurrent swimmers.
Although they made a mistake with the bill charging us too much, they returned the money before we even noticed. Free bottled water was a nice touch. It was quite a long way from the centre.
Excellent reception staff, comfortable rooms, quiet area (although just a few minutes walk from the Old City, comprehensive facilities
The evening meat was very poor
Quite the best standard of room I have stayed in ,at a hotel chain, the rooms are luxury
Comfortable, large bed, free mini-bar, large luxuary bathroom, helpfull staff
Very friendly stuff, clean and comfortable. n.a
The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly, stored luggage, called taxis and provided local information.
The room was beautiful and clean. No.
Relaxing and comfortable supported with good staff and excellent facilities The sofas in the atrium were more about image than comfort, but this is a very minor gripe.
Garage fee of just 8 euros was reasonable and close to hotel.
Excellent staff, beautifully finished hotel, restuarant food to be recommended. Beautiful bedroom but bathroom a little cramped
The building was quite attractive, but it lacked the magical atmoshere associated with these kinds of hotels in Spain. Some of the staff should learn how to smile, it means a lot to guests.
The hotel was amazing. Magnificent old building which has been sympathetically restored and converted to a luxury hotel.
Superb staff service and outstanding cuisine in a sensitively restored historic building affording luxurious comfort. It even has its own secure parking. Nil.
Wi-fi connection was poor and failed to connect to most sites I tried to access for my work.
The site is very pleasant Room was cold an could not be heated properly. The room was noisy from outside street noises as well as being near the lift which was also disturbing through parts of the night.Very few of the staff spoke english
Position for centre and a unique hotelgreat for fiestas Battalla del vino in June.
Beautiful hotel. Magnificent building. Very centrally located in Haro. Bedrooms were really spacious and wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay in Los Agustinos. Staff very helpful No.
comfortable room with a lot of space there was no space outside, there was not a terras or a swimmingpool
the room and general hotel were very good lack of restaurant on the day we were there is not acceptable in a 4 star hotel
peacefull location, very pleasant staff, comfortabe room the food was not great
The hotel was charming and the staff were wonderful. The rooms were absolutely beautiful. Absolutely nothing!
The rural setting in the mountains and an old monastary were very impressive. The size and quality of the rooms were very large by European standards. It was a tremendous value! Nothing
peaceful location, quiet countryside around.
Quiet relaxing hotel in a beautiful valley. The rooms are clean and quiet. The staff were quiet and relaxed and provided adequate service. We booked a wine seller tour. It could not be completed as there are time limits and guide bookings to be arranged. The wine celler is approximately 8 klm away from the hotel. The web booking suggested it was in the hotel.
A very interesting place - we had a really good giuded tour of the Monastery - the guide kept apologising for her English but it was charming and we understood it very well the meals were excellent in the hotel and the restaurant acrooss the car park Nothing
The hotel is ok, location so so the food in the hotel is really bad. Dinner was the worst in our 9 day trip, next to bad street food.
the peace and tranquility. the beautiful mauntains. the village.the wine.
The Location! Clean and confortable Hotel ! They should improve the air conduct because the room smell like smoking and we were in a non smoking room !
nicely done hotel on the Gran Via in Logrono near main shops and restaurants. Very comfortable, modern, stylish. would definitely stay there again.
very helpful staff
We have stayed many times at this Parador - always clean and comfortable.
Great central location opposite cathedral, free parking, nice lounge area in mediaeval hall, bright clean room overlooking the square Service ok, but a bit institutional
Lovely setting in historic town centre. The Parador benefits from secure (underground) parking and is right next to the cathedral. It provides an oasis of calm. Like all paradores this one doesnt serve evening meals until 20.30 - far too late for many northern europeans. Fortunately there are splendid restaurants nearby.
We have stayed here many times when we travel back to the Uk on the Ferry from Santander.Very good all around!
excellent location in beautiful city poor food quality much below expectations
Old historical building in the center of town next to cathedral, good breakfast Unfriendly, even arrogant staff, the hotel has been of a v good standard 20 years ago, today it´s not on the level as expected, dark rooms
The building and ambience Difficult to find and entering the square.Clear mud maps necessary
lobby is spacious and good atmosphere
Wonderful setting right next to the cathedral and close enought to do a fantastic wine tour at Marques de Riscal
Great location, staff very friendly, would definitely stay again
nicely situated, helpful staff the underground car park was a little too small for my people carrier
Performance and Hospitality was quite OK
Central location, decent rates. The staff was extremely rude and because of such, I will not be staying at the hotel again.
the staff at the reception desk were very friendly and helpful with all our queries. it was extremely clean and in a good location. the room we stayed in was quite small for 3 people but it was ok.
Extremely clean hotel and very friendly staff.
The surprise of the beautifully designed modern interior to a classic city centre building.
Excellent location Breakfast should be included. Thin walls. Could be quite noisy depending on who is in nextdoor room.
the location was excellent for a city stop-over. The staff were helpful and spoke good English
Upon arrival we had a Lovely glass of Red win
we liked the pleasant and helpful staff. the central location right on the edge of the old town was perfect. the bedroom was surprisingly roomy for an economy hotel.
this was a very trendy hotel with glass stairs and comfortable rooms...location great parking underground cost 12 Euros even with the hotel discount..
Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Location is perfect. We came with our bikes and they took care of them. It looks better on the pictures. Rooms are not so modern and well decorated like reception desk and hotel interior, but they are correct and we didn't mind.
good central location, very clean and confortable, friendly staff no parking (the price of public underground parking nearby is 22€ per night for a motorbike !!!!) and breakfast too expensive (10€ per person)
The friendliness of the staff & their willingness to answer all questions. Whilst not in the village it was just a short & pleasant stroll to the village. The shower was marvellous & there was a bath. The bathroom & bedroom were both spacious & well equipped. Fridge & free safe, fluffy large towels & hairdryer. Breakfast was very tasty with an option of cooked too & plentyful supplies of all types of breakfast. Very quiet too & free internet access & no need to worry about parking car. Would certainly return as great for Rioja bodega visits & less than 2 hours from ferry on good roads, but watch for updates on extending road network if tom tom/sat nav not current.
The green gardens. The menu of the hotel Lack in choices.
Friendly staff and the big parking area Nothing
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was in its own grounds and had plenty space to walk our dogs. Very easy to find. We arrived on a sunday after a 7 hour drive only to find out that there was no food or drink on site at weekends........something booking .com forgot to mention in their write up. There was only one member of staff that we saw. Breakfast was basic and the waitress never smiled or spoke to us. We cancelled our booking for our return journey.
The location outside the city of Logrono.
comfortable elegant hotel, sadly lacking a bar or restaurant
Very accessible, quite secure, very clean, helpful staff. Although breakfast was very good, it is a pity that the restaurant was not open at weekend, and that we do not appear to have had prior notice of this. We also understand that when open the menu is very limited, which is not good.
Wonderfull gardens very well maintainrd.Free Wi Fi. Modern plumbing.Typical Spanish Hotel.
Nice comfortable room. Good value for money as a breakfast was inlcuded. No food or drinks available in evening - unfortunately Sunday is not a good night for this in this hotel or many others in Spain. Had to walk into Navarette to obtain a meal in the evening. Reception staff not the most helpful - very matter of fact.
This hotel was a convenient stop-over between Barcelona and Santander. We arrived in the evening one day and left after breakfast the next. The bedroom was fine and so was the breakfast. The evening meal was moderate.
Staff were very helpful. Rooms were a good size and furnished very nicely.
The hotel owners / staff (in many cases they are the same) were very helpful in setting up tours for me. Even with some language barrier for the staff I was made to feel very welcome and they accomodated me in all my needs. The food was very good with a very good selection of wines.
Ambience of the hotel was excellent. Each room had a unique name. Security light in the room that disturbs sleep. Temperature in room was too hot.
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! Loved it! Our double room had a beautiful four poster bed, and although not the biggest room I have ever stayed in, it was full of boutique hotel charm and very comfortable. Andrea, the hotel's very friendly receptionist, couldn't do enough for us, helping us book wine tours and local restaurants. We did not eat in the hotel so can't comment on quality of dinner. Overall we had a really memorable stay at the Hospederia De Los Parajes and would not hesitate to recommend it!
