amazing location a bit run down, considering price
We particularly liked the beach the hotel "sits" on and the communal rooms were lovely and comfortable; restaurant was very good. The bedroom looks a little "tired" and could do with fresh paint and carpet and maybe a few more home comforts, e.g. tea and coffee in the room/drinks/mini fridge.
An excellent view is situated front you and you can see it without end. Besides you can get very nice drives+trips at the nearest environment. At last this hotel is good enough for gourmet. I think it would be much better to place umbrellas or awnings at balconies with a sea view. One will be very convenient both during rains and sunny days.
fantastic hideaway with stunning views almost private beach. old fashioned charm the menu del dia for dinner was not great
Superb value for money in a lovely hotel on a breathtakingly beautiful beach which was basically private as so few people used it. I had booked a room for 3, but for just 20 Euros more per day we were given a lovely suite of 2 very large rooms and bathroom with both rooms overlooking the beach. It was truly idyllic sleeping with the windows open and the only sound audible being the noise of the waves lapping the beach. I highly recommend the hotel and cannot wait to return.
Fantastic place, great views, excellent service. No evening meals.
The staff couldn't do enough to help in any situation No restaurant but staff told us of some good ones close by.
Nice surroundings helpfull staff lovely building The hotel was remote so a bar would have been nice at the end of the day
This is a gem of a Hotel set in a very quiet village with fantastic views over the countryside. Just a short drive to some excellent beaches and small towns. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast should have been included in the price. Ignore booking.com driving instuctions.
Good English from receptionist. Beautiful interior design and bathroom fittings. Good breakfast. Problem with flies in bedroom very off putting especially as friends in other hotels didn't experience this problem.
Historic building, sympathetically resored and appointed. Beautiful outlook over the surrounding countryside and (apart from one local festival night) quiet. Lack of a bar or restaurant and effectively no nearby facilities, meant that we had to drive elsewhere in the evening for dinner which impacted our full enjoyment of the hotel's location. Availablity of an English tv news channel such as BBC or WiFi would have been an advantage.
The hotel was easy to find,Madam was excellent ,the accomodation was very good and clean. Breakfast was also very good No evening meal. if there was it would be perfect. non of the local retaurants didn,t open till 8.30/9.00pm
The hotel owners & staff were so friendly, they made us feel very welcome. there were 16 of us turned up on 11 scooters!!! But this didn't stop them making us feel welcome.the hotel was faultless, they told us which restaurant to eat in & it was fantastic. we would just like to add this extra special thank you to the owners for making our stay so enjoyable.... andy from leeds, west yorkshire, england.
good location close to beach, Picos de Europa, you can make nice walks along the coastal path just behind the hotel. no breakfast buffet, you have to ask for everything, but the staff is very nice, family hotel
The hotel is nice, the staff are friendly. The location is just off the footpath that follows the northern route of the Camino de Santiago, the cliffs are accessible, beaches are about an hours walk away, and there are a couple of places to eat. This hotel represents good value for money, is set in a nice area, and I would go back again The breakfast was limited but OK. To make the most of a stay here, you should have a car and being happy to drive each day.
