10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a hidden gem! Came here with my husband for his birthday and spent a night here over the weekend - absolutely in love with the hotel. Hotel is located near the CBD and many great cafes in Surry Hills. The hotel & our room are beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. Rooftop is amazing with lots of greens, but didn’t spend much time up there as it was a very windy weekend. The amenities were top notch and everything we wanted, including a Kitchenaid kettle, T2 tea packets and Molton Brown bathroom products. The staff were attentive to our request, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was simple but great for us - enjoyed it very much. Two of the staff came to our rescue when they noticed we had no idea how to use the coffee machine and made us two lovely cups of coffee. Thank you for a perfect stay! :)
Cons: Absolutely nothing - keep it up guys!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location is safe, many eclectic cafe around, typical charming Surrey Hills neighborhood. Luxurious 2 bed room and 2 bath room apartment with city view. Staff is courteous and helpful.
Cons: Internet connection was awful. Ours was limited data, and always disconnected. Argued with staffs, but I believe there was something wrong w connection and data allocation. Pity for such, supposedly would given 10 mark apartment hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place definitely recommend
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great but an ETA would have been good as we didn't expect to wait quite so long - just over an hour I think it was. The room and facilities was great, everything we needed.
Cons: The English Breakfast tea bags were not nice, had to throw it down the sink. Have some normal tea bags in stock for people who don't like fancy tea. Also I am very short so I cant reach the cups in the high shelf above the sink which is where they were kept. Making them accessible for vertically challenged would help.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location, so many great places for breakfast, lunch and dinner all close by. Spacious, fully equipped with a large balcony and staff were outstanding, helping with anything we needed and asking if they could go anything better.
Cons: Nothing, adjoins the Cambridge hotel so all the benefits of a restaurant and fully staffed reception in a serviced apartment.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The concierge service is awesome, they are very helpful and provide great customer service and valet parking. Well worth the additional expense.
Cons: Breakfast was the only disappointing part of my stay, it was the usual luke warm buffet and horrible coffee that is really not good enough. Also if it is advertised as staying open until 11am then it needs to have all of the food available. I got down to breakfast at 09:30am which seemed to be a popular time and most of the hot stuff was empty. The staff were great and very responsive to requests, but they needed to be that bit more proactive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: clean, bright, spacious room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The finer details which enhance guest experience had been given full consideration at each touch point - from the plush towels to the to the virgin bloody Mary’s at the breakfast bar, a smart and truly comfortable stay. I would highly recommend the hotel to anybody!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location...easy walk to Circular Quay, Rocks, Darling Harbour etc. and the central city shopping area is also just a few minutes away.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the heart of the CBD close to restaurants and things to do, clean, staff that were incredibly accommodating and an overall lovely stay.
Cons: We used the hotel valet for our car, which was a reasonable cost of $65 a day. When we got the car back, however, we noticed that the radio station had been changed from our set local station to a Sydney station we never listen to.. just a bit funny and not very professional.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the heart of the CBD. Excellent service and spacious rooms.
Cons: Unfortunately there was no temperature control in our room for the air conditioner but everything else was great.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very attentive and helpful staff.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: We had an awesome stay at Radisson Blu. I surprised my best friend, she didn't know we were staying in the city for the night. A lot of planning went into our stay so it was great when the hotel staff were so accommodating and helpful. The beds were soooo comfortable, we had trouble getting up the next day. The lycee martini we had was also really good in the hotel lobby. I'll definately be back and will recommend the hotel to family and friends. Thank you!
Cons: Nothing, we had a wonderful stay
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff are great.
Cons: The sound isolation is poor. You hear people on the flor like they were in the room.

Pros: I love the restaurant strip here so Ovolo is a great place to stay if you are having a long dinner lol.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Complimentary mini bar a terrific feature. Nice to have a small nightcap on arrival back to room.
Cons: Our room was on the street and was noisy during the night. We left our phone chargers in the room and a couple of hours after checkout contacted reception to go back and retrieve. Chargers could not be found in the room. Very disappointing end to a great stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: From the moment you enter the building, the room, the bar – it really feels like you finally deserve this vacation! Self laundry, free breakfast, free mini bar, free happy hour, amazing, welcoming and helpful hotel staff, lovely room, perfect location – FANTASTIC! Thank you so much for those 2 days we spent in your hotel! OVOLO – YOU ARE OUR FAVORITE NOW!
Cons: Only 1 downside probably – I didn’t like the shower setup with 2 cranes, water adjustment / mixing was a nightmare for me, it’s either too hot or too cold – it’s a minor though since the rest is just perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, accommodation and staff. Highly recommend staying there.

Pros: Close to the airport.
7.1 Good
Pros: We like the convenience to the airport. Also, relaxing in the common area at the top of the hotel.
Cons: The change of management from the former Felix Hotel is not as good as expected. A lot of the staff appeared to be back-packers with limited English. The value for money has dropped. Finally, although nothing to do with Citadines, the area nearby resembles a construction site that does not cater for pedestrians. (A pox on the council for not keeping a check on the developer.)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff from check in to check out
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They whole stay was perfect from the moment we walked in the door except for the view from our room. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond. The hotel is beautiful and in an amazing location. I will be back!
Cons: I had always wanted to stay here and so booked a water view room to enjoy the whole experience. Unfortunately we were placed in a room at the road end and so had minimum views due to a big balcony off of the next room and the scaffolding from work being done outside our window.
6.3 Good
Pros: Beautiful room and facility
Cons: Staff very disorganised. Rang the night before to ensure my partner could check in (this was all a surprise for him), they said that was no problem! The day of check in they did not let him check in. They also showed him the price for the night which I was not happy about!l. Very disappointing
5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: It was mine and my partners anniversary. I booked the hot tub in the igloos on the pier. I then decided to book a room off the back of that because I thought it would be nice to relax there before and after. Firstly, I had to be moved rooms cause there were renovations happening right outside my window. I was moved which was fine. We went downstairs for a drink and had to wait 30 mins until it arrived, as we were waiting we heard several different groups complaining about the wait times, how the service was inadequate. It’s a shame that they don’t realise how special the hotel could be. Having to wait for the drinks then made us late for our dinner. Once we arrived at dinner we had to rush in order to get back for the igloo on the pier which was at 7:30pm. We made it back at 7:25 and did not get put in the igloo till 8:00pm. So we rushed our anniversary dinner to sit around. Once in the spa we could only stay in for 20 minutes because it was SO cold. All up the experience cost an absurd amount of money and was a complete waste of time. I have travelled all around the world and never leave reviews. Have never been more disappointed in a hotel, an experience or the way it was handled and for the cost it was completely not acceptable. Will never go back here.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, feels like we are at sea! Staff are great. Nice bar for nightcap!
4.2 Okay
Pros: Not much at all!
Cons: Poor in house communication, prior to arrival I had emailed the hotel to ensure that the room was suitable for me and my 28 year old son to share. I was assured that in addition to the king size bed there would be an adult suitable sofa bed. On arrival there was a sofa, barely big enough to seat 2 adults and a put you up bed had been set up in the middle of the suite. This was way too small, for even me at 5ft 6ins to sleep in. The response of the Hotel management was to state that the rooms were undergoing refurbishment, as far as I was concerned I was paying full price for the room and expected it to adequately furnished. The suite itself is huge just not In my opinion the room was poorly appointed and not of the standard I was expecting. The solution offered by the hotel was to remove the sofa and ‘child’ sized bed and to replace them with an ‘old’ sofa bed, the hotel was full and we therefore had to accept what was offered. The whole episode was upsetting and spoilt our last few days of what had been an amazing trip to Australia. I certainly would NOT recommend this hotel.

6.0 Good
Pros: The location was absolutely wonderful! It was great to be able to walk to the Rocks as well as to the city. The hotel is beautiful, love the deck and the views of the water and harbour were great. Staff were very helpful and courteous.
Cons: The air conditioning in our room, 204, did not work well. It seemed to be a fan, rather than cooling. At night the temp dropped enough to sleep ok. However the rest of the wkend the room was too hot to want to stay inside it. The corridor was well air conditioned however and the lobby area was nice and breezy. We reported it to the front desk as we went out for 4 hrs, and were told someone would look at it. It did not improve during our stay.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: very neat and fairly large rooms. the park view is beautiful.
Cons: initially we were in a 'park view' room which did not face the park at all. you have to crane your neck out of the window to see the park. this should not be sold as park view. staff were happy to move us to a front facing room with beautiful view.

Pros: Location Location Location
Cons: The bar areas close way too early

Pros: we love the Sheraton, as we have been going there 40 years. But we are concerned about the dramatic fluctuations in the charges. On this occasion it was $400 plus, for the same room on the 19th October it will be $800 plus.
Cons: on this trip it was good

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice and the property was immaculate. I thought the club room was very pretty and had a decent spread of food and drink.
Cons: This was my first time staying at a Sheraton property. I've stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels around the world and this hotel was comparable. My issue was with check in and a late check out. I usually book club rooms, not necessaryaly to take advantage of the food and alcohol, but to have more leeway with check out and using the facilities after I've checked out. Typically when you have a club room, you are taken up to the actual club for check in and this did not happen. I was checked in at the main lobby and found the woman who checked me in to be very curt and not especially friendly. I also asked for a late check out and was given only one extra hour, which is odd since that would usually be given to someone who booked a basic room. Not for someone who has spent close to 100 USD more for basically the same room. I was told I could check out at noon, and at 11 AM I had the housekeeping pounding on my door. Thirty minutes later, they were back asking to clean my room. It felt like I was being forced out as quickly as possible. I checked out at noon, but my flight out of SYD was at 10pm, and when I asked if I could the shower around 5 or 6pm that day, before my flight. I was told no. I had to argue with the front desk agent for him to finally bend and give me a card for the gym / sauna area. I don't think my request to use a shower after check out was so outrageous, especially for the extra money I spent. When I went up to the gym / sauna area I went into the changing room and had the front desk woman come into the changing room and ask me what I was doing there and if I was staying at the hotel. It gave me a feeling like I was trespassing. I gave her my name and informed her that the front desk agent called up to her floor to ask if I would be allowed to use the shower and this was accepted. She seemed to have no clue what I was talking about. These incidents left a sour taste in my mouth.

Pros: Everything
Overview Reviews
The iconic Clare Hotel, which was originally a pub and the Carlton United Breweries buildings, and through a sensitive restoration given birth to two buildings in one, a place where historic elements are preserved and contemporary pleasures abound. Here, lifestyle is as much in play as luxury. The 62 rooms offer an embracing mix of bespoke handcrafted items with an authentic, old-world feel, and serve as a base from which one can experience arguably the best rooftop bar and pool in the city, as well as three unique restaurants, which include the inspired work of Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton. The brewery may be gone, but its semi-industrial feel, combined with sleek new elements, are the reason The Old Clare Hotel is now a neighborhood-defining property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room had a lot of character and was different from the average hotel home. The location was amazing too.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I loved that the location is perfect, very near central station and all the bus stops possible. I loved that the staff was very accommodating. We also loved the toiletries.
Cons: Our only complain was that the bed was very very soft, thus quite uncomfortable.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Very few of the rooms have the character portrayed on the website.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has cool old industrial vibe with a twist of new modern decor. The staffs are so polite and helpful. They even upgraded my room and let me have an early check-in. Love the location of the hotel. Literally have at least 20 restaurants around the hotel, from nice and fancy restaurants to cool casual cosy ones around. They are literally next to the hotel. You don’t even have to wondering around too far to find places to eat at all. The hotel has their restaurant called ‘Automata’, the food is nice and delicious. They also have rooftop bar/pool and bar downstairs next to the lobby
Cons: I would love that their king size bed is not 2 single beds combined together. I wish the bed was one whole king size bed instead. Also would be nice to have a nice cool design clock on the wall in the hotel room.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Hip boutique hotel in a great location.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location to not go home after Gin Lane
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The building was beautiful! And Chippendale is such an excellent location. The rooms were also beautiful, with the high ceilings and windows - the in room bathtub was a plus! The bed was incredibly comfy - had our check in been a little later we probably could have slept all day in it!
Cons: The only downside was the parking or the lack there of. We had to park at the hotel next door.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were great and very comfy beds
6.3 Good
Pros: Handy to university. Staff tried very hard to be helpful
Cons: Poorly designed room. No storage for clothes. Vanity area quite unusual with no space for toiletries, no decent mirror, no wall between vanity and stairwell. In room dining menu extremely limited. Breakfast in A1 had unusual menu and no one too sure about what you get in pre paid room with breakfast leading to overcharging.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The excellent location being so close to Central Station, shops, casual eateries & classy restaurants!! Fantastic decor & quirky bric-à-brac throughout the hotel.
Cons: The room didn't have a lounge or sitting area & the cost was a bit pricey.

Cons: The pool was very cold

Pros: Clean and comfy
Cons: Requested a bath got a handicapped room so even shower wasn’t very nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ideally located for the Southern end of the CBD 10 minutes walk from Central Station. Plenty of eateries - we tried Spice Alley casual dining (just 5 mins walk away) two nights in a row because the variety was huge, costs reasonable and food quality excellent. All night supermarket, a small mall and other facilities adjacent as well as medium & upmarket restaurants. Breakfast was a buffet with good selection of mostly western style, but also congee and noodle soups too and, unusually, bain-marie's that actually kept the food hot! Self-serve coffee express machine coffee facility included or barista coffee at extra cost. We got a room upgrade and a $50 food & beverage voucher which ws applied at checkout.
Cons: More towel rails and/or hooks in the bathroom would be useful. The wi-fi keycard reader in lifts was a bit erratic - and other guest having similar problems, but just needed a couple goes. Not much else to complain about.

Pros: Great rooms & great food

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The stay was beautiful.
Cons: My breakfast grapes had mould on them.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean and modern, great location
Cons: Very pricy for slow service and below average room comfort, aircon doesn’t work, winter day and the room was hot, even though aircon was on 19.5, mind you that’s the lowest it goes, so a summer stay would be horrifying. The mini fridge is not even cold. It’s room temperature!!! Not worth the money!! Other hotels around the same area for much better price and better comfort & service
7.5 Good

Pros: Great venue and food at restaurant was amazing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, with plenty of great places to eat & explore nearby. View was standard, city/slab from our window (expected) and the room was really nice.
Cons: Possible improvement would to put a Nespresso machine in each room (which I've had at other hotels) so we could have something aside from insta-caf. Slightly devalued the luxury experience, otherwise really enjoyed our stay.
6.3 Good
Pros: The fresh omelette at breakfast was delicious. However, other guests had free breakfast, why didn’t I? I stayed for five nights yet was not offered an upgrade. I heard a man in a suit being offered an upgrade even though he was staying fewer nights. Twice I had to request housekeeping to come as my room had not been cleaned by lunchtime even though the sign requesting my room be serviced was on my door. The spa massage I had was lovely.
Cons: As above. A mixed bag.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!! Our stay was wonderful. The staff amazing. The food superb. Had both dinner & breakfast at the restuarant. Thanks to the staff for arranging the lovely dessert platter. We'll definitely be back soon and for a longer stay next time.
Cons: The only issue we had was the limited space for placing our luggage and hanging our clothes, which is essentially the same space. Certainly not a deal breaker by any standards, but they may want to consider upgrading it. Was annoying that we kept knocking things off the hangers when opening our bag, or the bag falling off the luggage rack when we opened it. Rack only big enough for a small to medium sized bag.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was great.
Cons: Room was a bit small with limited space to hang clothing.
