Pros: Welcome by the family. Farmhouse breakfast table groaned under an array of fruits, bread and warm croissants, cheeses, including pumpkin and orange, and courgette and orange compotes, plus bacon and eggs on request. Dinner by request. Go for the Portuguese traditional seafood stew and rice. Unbelievable.

Pros: Property was pure luxury.
Cons: I arrived on foot via the Rota Vicentina. It was FAR from town and the bikes provided were in poor condition. Hard to get around without a car.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful location. Great breakfast. We really liked the fact that coffee and snacks/cakes/fruit were available all day for free.
Cons: WIFI signal was poor throughout the property
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great place to relax and enjoy vacation, beautiful nature around, silent, nice decoration, helpful staff , big enough pool to swim for a company and clean water, rich continental breakfast, free soft drinks and beer, cakes and coffee during the day. Next village with Lidl and place to eat -10 min drive, more in 20 min
Cons: We stayed 5 nights, 4 people in the room, floor was never cleaned and bed sheets were not changed. After driving around, beaches, pool, it was very dirty in the room after 2 days already, not expected from the resort of that quality. But towels were changed every day. And do not expect anything from the bicycles offered free in the place. They are very old and in bad shape, we could not use unfortunately.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location on top of a hill with nice view. Clean and enjoyable place and surroundings. Smallish but nice pool & garden area. Breakfast was great
Cons: No possibility to cook meals (only plates and glasses etc. plus a microwave). Due to this, you must take a drive to the nearest towns for dinner or eat cold foods. Though, it was quite nice to have wine and cheeses in the inner yard at night in a candle light. Another minus for not having any recycling and using portion packaged butters etc.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really good breakfast and helpful staff

Pros: Excellent home feel, different from all other hostels you've been to! Super friendly host and location right in the center of Odmeira. Perfect for hikers on Rota Vincentina!
Cons: Slightly too cold in some places (visited end of December), although small heater provided in each of the rooms.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean, well kept place in the heart of the village. Nice little kitchen and plenty of recreational space. Good wifi. Nice place to stay on the Rota Vicentia
Cons: Nothing not to like although I would have preferred an earlier check in time
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Design was amazing, the other guests where very friendly.
Cons: I didn't see the receptionist at all, when I arrived another guest who knew him/her checked me in and showed me around - did a good job tho. Upon checkout the next morning (10am) I couldn't find anyone, dropped my key on the reception table and just left.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A little oasis in the middle of Odemira! Lovely welcome by Sonia and great communication with Paulo before my arrival. Admittedly I did pay for the upgrade to the gold room - comfy king size bed, massive bathroom with corner bath - but even so it was excellent value for money. Def recommended!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owner. Good, shared kitchen facilities.
Cons: The room was imaginatively designed but rather cluttered so I was always worried about losing something.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had the gold suite, so everything was amazing in the room! the rest of the hostel is also clean and well equipped. 5 minutes walk from bus station. lots of street parking 2 minutes away.
Cons: nothing!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful manager
Cons: Hard to classify: more like a lovely hostel or guest house. Hard to find
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, helpful host. Excellent location in centre of town. Like the quirky style of design inside. Good kitchen. Really appreciated being shown two boxes of red wine and told 'help yourselves'.
Cons: Like many older Portuguese buildings it's cold in winter - the heater in the room was adequate but the bathroom was really cold, after a shower everything was running with condensation. Window was also pretty small. Quite expensive compared to many other places in Portugal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Grate hospitality and good comunication. Short stay one night. It was grate and good located.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great little place, lovely staff, close to the beach and away from the busy life. Perfect place to relax and enjoy time with your loved ones. And the breakfast is awesome!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Front desk staff very attentive to all our needs and questions. They even helped us out a week later after we had checked out !
6.8 Good
Pros: The master bedrooom was quite soacious with a lovely view over tge dunes and the boardwalk to the beach. Very sunny and bright. The balcony had a view pool and it is very private.
Cons: Some old cupboards and draws in bedroom could have been removed as they had the smell of dampness and mustiness. I had to light an incence stick to neutralize this strong dampness smell. The bathroom did not have a proper door with the lock and it kept being open. Sometimes I heard the noise from other rooms as there is no sound proof.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly straff, calm atmosphere and beautiful beaches
Cons: I would have liked a kettleboiler , cups and glasses for making breakfast etc
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming. It’s literally the last premises before a large car park right next to beach, cliff top views and a really trendy beach bar with views of everything. All this packaged into a tiny little village but easy to drive through. This is a real hidden gem on the west coast of Portugal, perfect to watch the sunset over the Atlantic.
Cons: Shower was a bit small. Change the purple rugs.
10.0 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location close to the beach. Lovely little pool area. Clean room. Free parking.
Cons: Rooms are a little dated, but very clean. No air conditioning, so the room got a little hot. A kettle would have also been useful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast, wonderful location, comfortable rooms - everything great :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The manager was super friendly and recommended places to eat. We were hiking the Fishermans Trail and he was very helpful giving us advice. Also this is the closest property to the beach and the trail.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well presented. Friendly helpful staff. Delicious breakfast for 7.50EURO. Great value.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Right by the beach, so a lovely location. Rooms were simple but comfortable and clean. Breakfast not included in the price, which made the room more expensive than some better hotels we’ve stayed in, though a good choice of food on the buffet. Parking available beside the hotel.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Poor rooms with lack of many thins... staff was 1 person!!!!
Cons: In room no tv light of bathroom was very poor,no mirror in bedroom, no phone, no Adequate heating etc
7.0 Good
Pros: The pool and the view which was lovely. We liked the feeling of serenity. It seems to be a great place to see the stars as there is little to none artificial light. One of the staff members was very friendly, polite and dedicated, we are sorry we can't remember his name.
Cons: We disliked that although the property states we can check in at any time, when we arrived we had to look for the person to open the room for us. We also didn't like the fact that although they stated that there were only quick meals/light meals for lunch, the staff ate on the restaurant area much better food that was unavailable for the customers.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was amazing, very quiet and with an amazing view from the pool. The staff was friendly and always available. The room was very spacious and yet kept minimalist, with a nice jacuzzi (should be amazing in the Winter but we didn't get to experience it due to the extreme hot temperatures, which felt overwhelming due to the lack of air-con). Although we don't have animals, we do love them, so it was nice to see that they were treated just like family.
Cons: Lack of air-conditioning, especially in the middle of Summer, with 40ºC degrees outside, was a bit disappointing. Breakfast was nice (amazing local produce) but a bit scarce. Lack of toiletries in the bathroom (shampoo, shower gel) - only hand soap was provided. Not really the hotel's fault but it was unfortunate and annoying (to say the least) that some of the guests were not socially responsible and let their pets make noise, even throughout the night, without any respect for the comfort of the other guests.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely rural and pieceful setting.
Cons: A minor point: It could have tea / coffee making facilities in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Felt like home, very clean and animal friendly. Great view from the pool/ meal room! Infinity pool is a delight!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Izabel the host is a super nice woman, the site is beautiful, break fast was amazing, all clean and nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location. Great rooms. Nice people.
5.5 Okay
Pros: I liked that I was welcome with my dogs, and the pool was a bonus on a very hot day. Joao the receptionist did his best to welcome us.
Cons: The room was smelly and they used a room spray (chemical) to cover it up. Rooms have basic cement floors and walls with nice wooden furniture, but overpriced. The mattress was lumpy. The owner tried to aggressively charge me for an 'upgrade' on the day I was leaving (...the young man from the reception had changed me to another room after he confirmed a very strong malodorous smell in the room, probably from bad plumbing). Meanwhile a free running pig (yes, true!) attacked my 1 year old puppy in the breakfast room and pushed me over in my chair. The whole situation was rather stressful and and unfriendly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place in the Middle of nowhere. Relaxing in the hammock swimming, dining with Potugues food, enjoying! Every evening a Dinner is offered, tasty! Nice landlord family.

Pros: Room very clean and very friendly staff. Good location with a nice view.
Cons: Our bed had a very hard mattress, consequently not very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice quiet house with great views. Great staff, fast wifi and possible to park outside.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very pleasant overnight stay. Warm & friendly greeting on arrival. Bed was comfortable & nice to have a small washing line on our balcony.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nic view lovely stuff and owner
Cons: All was perfect
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean and spacious room with a good view of the village.
Cons: It would be better if the hotel has a fridge and a kettle.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The host had great suggestions for dinner, breakfast and food market.
Cons: Shower was very small with cloth shower curtain.
6.3 Good
Pros: It’s a perfect spot for Rota Vicentina if you’re hiking on that. The beds were nice and clean, and a small cloths line in the tiny balcony if you want to wash and hang your dirty cloths. The guy checking me in was friendly and gave some recommendation for where to eat in the morning.
Cons: There was no kitchen at all, and not even a fridge to keep the stuff. The price was very high amongst all the places I have stayed in Rota Vicentina, and it had the least facilities compared to the rest.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very helpful and gave us good suggestions of where to have dinner and also where was open early for breakfast. The balcony made it easy for drying clothes (we stayed here while walking the Rota Vicentina)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host is familiar with people like us -- walkers. We had a list of questions, and she anticipated every single one. She pulled out a map and said: We are here. For breakfast tomorrow, you can go here. It opens at six and is on the Rota Vicentina, which is here. You could also eat there this afternoon. All minimarts are closed Saturday afternoon, but there's a supermarket here. It's a long walk, but I will be happy to call a taxi, if you would like. There's a clothesline on your balcony with clothes pins if you want to wash. Perfect. So appreciated! And the balcony was lovely.
7.5 Good
Pros: We were advised of a very good restaurant

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Hi, thank you for having us last night. We slept so well and it is a beautiful place you have! We enjoyed the breakfast and the company of Nikita and the kitty :) Our best regards, Petya
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amieira Agroturismo is a lovely place located in a beautiful area. The house is beautifully renovated, furnished and decorated with care and detail, with local furniture and decorations, maintaining the spirit of local heritage. The breakfast is simple but tasty and of quality, including local produce (we had delicious bread, honey, homemade jams), and the staff was always lovely and attentive. The atmosphere at the place is relaxed and homely, inviting friendly interaction between guests. The surrounding landscape is beautiful and extremely peaceful. An experience we will try to repeat and will surely recommend.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Make sure you will get information which road you should arrive in advance. Our navigation (Sygic) took us worse road from north to south which is very challenging for normal car (more for 4wheel suvs). Keep in mind if you have a rented car
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is really friendly and authentic. The breakfast is super carb-heavy, just bread and jams, but the jams are delicious! We also met some super cool people that happened to be staying at the same time as us. So that was nice, but YMMV
Cons: I booked a room that had a terrace, but I got a room that didn't have one, and the whole reason I wanted to stay at this place was for the terrace!
7.5 Good
Pros: The morning after we arrived was really nice, with home made cake and srambled eggs just made expressely for us. Mrs Floripes is a very kind women and I do hope when she retires can be replaced by someone half as good as she is.
Cons: When we arrived, there was no welcoming by the women that was there. She just opened the door, showed us the rooms and disapeared. If it wasn't Mrs Floripes the morning after, I would have said that this hadn't be a good experience at all.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the place, off the beaten track, very clean , quiet, comfortable. Not luxurious. Friendly hosts. Very good breakfast and amazing value for money.
Cons: Slight communication problems but google translate helped .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located in the middle of nature with a beautiful view from our room terrace and breakfast area. The only sounds you hear are those of the wind, the birds and the bees. A place to relax and enjoy the peace!
Cons: It's sometimes difficult to communicate if you don't speak Portuguese. Luckily there's always google translate ;-)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This place is in the middle of nowhere, it is surrounded by beautiful countryside and wildflower meadows and the only sound is the birds, it really is beautiful. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, they didn't speak English but that wasn't a problem as we communicated fine using Google translator. The place was decorated with a traditional style that gave it charm and character and it was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and had a wonderful rain shower. The breakfast was great and really generous; there was freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade bread with condiments and a selection of cheese and meats.
Cons: Not really a down point as it was part of the charm but the place is really in the middle of nowhere so getting there by public transport would be difficult. The walls were a bit thin so you could hear everything next door but it is an old building and I had no trouble sleeping.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very very warm welcome with a homemade cake! Owners are extremely nice and service-oriented : they anticipate your needs. Breakfast is just delicious : you will for instance have some local cheese, homemade bread and fresh pressed orange juice! Location is in the middle of nowhere, you will enjoy quiet and peace. When the evening comes, look up to the sky to contemplate the stars with absolutely no light pollution. In terms of equipement, bathroom is really luxuous. What a charming place!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the breakfast and appreciated the free laundry service offered by the property owner. Very beautiful and peaceful place.
Casa do Almograve - Longueira - Bedroom
11
7.9 Good (79 reviews)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A loooooot of space.
Cons: A little bit far away from the village center
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful property in a location that is very convenient for the coast. Everything was spotless. Collection of the keys could not have been easier - just a phone call to the owner on arrival.
Cons: Nothing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The quietness, a very peaceful place!
Cons: The bed... that is the most common complain also in the previous comments, but as a physiotherapist I know the importance of a good night sleep for the back!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Big house, not far from city centre, nice people, good communication
Cons: The bed is tiny and squeaky, apparently nothing changed in the last 6 months reading the reviews. The bathroom had hairs from previous visitors... not to mention the mould in the shower and sink...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is a wonderful guesthouse were you can spend a whole holiday and just relax and have everything you need. I was hiking the Fishermen's trail and just stayed there for one night. It was really relaxing as I had the house just for myself. Check-in was easy via phone. The house was very clean, well-equipped (especially in the kitchen), and very spacious. If you don't come by car, it is a little hard to do grocery shopping as there is only one little shop nearby (10 min walk). Other than that, it was just wonderful.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: fair price and a good host very helpful. - amenities good, water hot house clean
Cons: But the bed was squeaky and too small for two- it was a poor quality bed and as walkers we were not very comfortable and had to get up and walk the next day good. Pillows bad and cold house
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly host nice place
6.3 Good
Pros: Entire house for yourself if the owner is not there. It would be strange if the owner would be there, because you'll be sitting in his living room and using his kitchen. Tip: ask in advance if the owner is there or not?
Cons: No hot water for shower. Despite two electric heaters it was not possible to warm up the living room. Bed is for 1,5 persons.
4.3 Okay
Cons: I found this place to be overpriced for what it was- basically a basement apartment. The mattress was really hard and the bedding was uncomfortable. A too strong smell of cleaning agents pervades. The location is not that easy to find, but to be fair, I was traveling without a phone. Because I had trouble finding the place, someone was there to greet me, but otherwise the key would have been left in a flowerpot. The wifi stopped working while I was there, bad for me relying on it!
7.5 Good
Pros: Great WiFi. Very clean.
Cons: I felt like an intruder when the home owner showed up to spend the night.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place itself is really great. Great for families.
Cons: In the reception when someone says to me, that they didn't received the payment that was done in advance 48h before. All process of paying via PayPal looks to be new for them so spent almost 30mn just to figure out where the money was.

Cons: Dirty roads instead of asphalt ones inside the property.

Cons: Bathroom not well ventilated, minimal mold on corners. The broom and cleaning materials inside bathroom and not put away in a closet. All coffee machines only offered a sugared milk option, your cappuccino comes out super sweet.90% of foreigners that drink Coffee with milk get a sugared beverage, big thing...don't mess with our coffee:). Otherwise all good.

Pros: Eco awareness and facilities
Cons: Should be more clear on how the rooms are, showing the best and prettiest rooms only causes expectations that are then not met
7.5 Good
Pros: The facilities were great
5.5 Okay
Pros: Refrigerator, fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV. Good breakfast but rather European than Portuguese, most of coffee machines were broken, it was irritating to wait so long for your morning coffee. Huge outdoor pool but with a freezing water. Evening performance nice and on a high level. Playground for kids in a good condition. Fast and professional check in and check out processes.
Cons: Container accommodation, bungalows built from white painted plywood boards. The camping area is full of dust. Tree top circuit too expensive. In general, much below my expectation, low value for money spent. Will not return.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The contact with nature, cycling
Cons: Small bungalows and high price
9.5 Excellent
Pros: .
Cons: Common spaces don't have enough light.

7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very filling - didn't expect it.
Cons: A little bit run down and it was a bit cold in the room - in June! Very basic room, not cozy at all - but it is to be expected for amount you pay, I guess.
6.3 Good
Pros: The lady at the reception desk in the evening shift was extremely nice and helpful.
Cons: The shared bathroom was pretty dirty most of the time, with slippery floors. The only time it was cleaned during our stay they used some kind of bleach that made your eyes sting. Not nice!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All good and clean.
6.8 Good
Pros: A lot of facilities. Balcony, kitchen etc. The room was big. The town is quiet and the beach really nice, so are the walks around.
Cons: The breakfast is really so-so. The place could be really nice with a bit of renovation and decorations. Breakfast room is noisy like at school. I found it a bit expensive compare to what is offered but maybe this are the prices in Portugal.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was ample without restrictions on how much you could eat (some youth hostels state that each person can take only 2 pieces of bread, 1 piece of fruit etc).
Cons: The whole hostel could do with a lick of paint and some TLC. The rooms on the first floor have nowhere to hang a towel or swimmers and being a hostel by the beach I find this an issue. Our towels and swimmers were never fully dry and the room had signs of mold in the corners. The staff was not all that welcoming and as you have to hand the key every time you leave they seemed annoyed they had to give it back to you when you needed it.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Lots of noize from the hallway.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Three free breakfast was delicious, but the receptionist told us it was only available from 8:30 to 10:00. We planned to leave at 7:00 so we didn’t think we would get any. We were surprised in the morning when the new receptionist waved us over and reminded us that it was all ready and we could eat some.
Cons: The kitchen had hours posted that we weirdly short (10:00am to 11:00pm). We thought our food would be locked in, so we forced ourselves to eat a bunch of perishable food we had bought for breakfast before we saw the posted hours. It was needlessly confusing when the kitchen was open at 7:00am and breakfast was available at 7:00am.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Youth hostel outside the center of Almograve. Friendly staff, smooth check-in process. Room was very spacious with a nice balcony. About a 12 min walk to Praia de Almograve beach. Very nice included breakfast in the morning. Another decent budget option for those hiking Fisherman's Trail.
Cons: Large tour groups were staying at the hostel while we were there and it was a bit noisy. Bed mattress was hard/uncomfortable. The town itself has a few restaurants but they close down early, so keep this in mind for dinner.
5.8 Okay
Pros: They arranged breakfast earlier to suit our needs
Cons: Definitely needs more toilets/showers
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was awesome. Also, I would like to thank Cátia, that checked us in. She was so lovely, helpful and nice. Thank you!

7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice location which recalled an old mexican village
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed whilst attending a near by wedding. It suited our needs very well. Breakfast was not available but there is a supermarket close by where we bought food and drinks. It is a plain no frills place situated in the middle of a fairly new urbanisation. On the ground floor is a bar where coffee etc can be obtained,
Cons: There is a yard behind the building where someone has a Pigeon loft. This kept us awake at times during the night as the birds never seemed to have stopped cooing! It would have been good to have even a basic breakfast offered.
6.8 Good
Cons: It was extremely noisy! The men hanging in the bar had the TV blaring & yelled above it. We could smell their smoke in our room. In the morning, workmen started at 7am with power tools & by 9am others started drinking & speaking very loudly. Very unrestful! They looked at us with contempt.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: High quality acommodation in countryside for modest travellers. Parking is always availible.
6.5 Good
Cons: They are not cumminicate in english...

5.5 Okay
Pros: The B&B is centrally sited in Almograve.
Cons: It is a very basic B&B and not great value - we stayed at better places in the same price range, The sheets and pillow cases were made of fleece material. A bit weird.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Big room and big private bath room Close to the beach and hiking paths
Cons: Power blackouts at night. Towels had a strange smell. No hiking or location information from the owner. She had hardly any time when we arrived. Some map material would have been nice. Uncomfortable bed.
7.5 Good
Cons: The "hot" water was colder than lukewarm.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: An excellent overnight stop while hiking along the coast. Clean, friendly and quiet.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: We did the Rotavincentina Fisherman’s trail. This was the most expensive plays of 4 we stayed on the walk. The quality of accommodation, breakefast and the room was lower than accommodation to half the price.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little guesthouse, fantastic spot
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean and big room and bathroom
Cons: No shampoo. I would expect it for 75 €/ night without breakfast, isn't so ?
6.8 Good
Pros: Cozy room and clean spaces. Nice building.
Cons: The price is not comparable with the quality, staff is cold and not helpful, we didn't get a receipt, there was not a check in. We asked an airdryer and they said that was not available, but after their offered us the one of the owner. But you pay almost the double compared with the other hotels in the area. 75 euros for a night is an exageration.
4.5 Okay
Cons: It was extremly cold in the room.
