Pros: Karine and Philippe were the perfect hosts. Beautiful accommodation with incredible lake views, especially in the morning with the mist rising from the water. Delicious breakfast and very enjoyable evening meal with the other guests. We were apprehensive about the evening meal as our French is poor to non existent, but we were made to feel incredibly welcome and relaxed. Thankyou for a very memorable stay. Mellony and Martyn

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fabienne was very attentive to our needs and was ready to help in anyway. Accommodation is beautiful, comfy large bed and very quiet. She has beautiful picture books in a large lounge where you can sit to relax or watch as we French Open Tennis on a large TV.
Cons: St Flour didn’t impress us hugely But it was a convenient stop for us
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The house conveys a typical French charm. The owner has very nicely renovated the house and the old style with today's time very well connected.
Cons: Parking near the house is difficult due to narrow streets and lack of private parking place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good quiet location, very friendly proprietor. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: I would prefer closer parking, though it was free and not too far.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is a B&B of four rooms located on the 3rd and 4th floor of a mid-19th century building, with authentic fittings and furniture in the dining room and 3rd floor rooms, and modern 4th floor rooms. A word of caution: no elevator and steep stairs; not for persons with limited mobility. A nice place for an in-style stopover in a long travel, or as a base to explore the region. The host is nice and sincerely willing to do as much as possible to please guests. The breakfast consists of local organic cheese, yaghourt, bread, croissants, marmelade and orange juice, i.e. the choice is limited (ask in advance if you have special wishes). We adored our top floor room with a view of tile roofs and hills around, nice modern bathroom, very quiet at night.
Cons: No night tables in our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Old world medieval town. You must make your way into the old centre (Place D'Armes) and park there(free)because it is the nearest to this old 170 year property. But there are other options with a little bit more walking. The landlady is really helpful and will allow you to enter the property before the designated 6 PM if you contact her in advance..The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is delightful. You have many restaurants within 100 metres all capable of providing the most delicious food at very reasonable prices..Distinctively different from your run of the mill stopovers and you must visit the old museum (4 euro) to fully absorb the grand flavour of the place...
Cons: Perfect....it's what it says on the tin
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house in lovely location! Our hostess was very friendly and helpful and prepared us a superb breakfast!
Cons: Nothing!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful old period building with many of the original features. The room was spotless with excellent facilities i.e. walk in shower, spa bath and a very comfortable bed. I was met by a lovely, friendly lady (Fabienne) who made me feel very welcome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcome, large bed, great shower, excellent breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything! What is there not to like? The location in this most beautiful city of Saint Flour, in the Cantal that I love, is perfect: right near the famous cathedral. The rooms are big, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is a delight, we could of stayed in there for hours... The house itself is old and and in great shape, very well taken care of, you can feel the history behind it. Breakfast was royal, in a gorgeous dining room and Fabienne, the owner is as adorable and caring as can be! We will definitely go back on our next visit...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location in the old town. Comfortable room with good views. Breakfast excellent, local, home made and organic choices
Cons: Parking tricky and some way away. Bedroom was at the top of the house with three flights of stairs.

Pros: Easy access from the motorway. The receptionist was very helpful. The room is basic, but catered perfectly for my stopover requirements. There is a vending machine for snacks and the ‘Cafeteria’ restaurant is just a short walk from the hotel. All the guests seemed to be doing the same thing and getting their heads down early and it was all very respectful. Breakfast was good value. Oh, the rooms had air conditioning and it worked silently
Cons: Nothing. Great value for money

Overall a magical stay for us. We will be back for more !!!!!

Pros: The location is pretty nice, hotel and restaurant very good, room nice, wifi reasonable, so all OK.

5.5 Okay
Pros: The location was fine, pity about the jaded hotel.
Cons: Very poor facilities. Not one chair in the room, just one rickety stool. The cheapest one ply toilet paper, poor lighting, certainly not able to read well, a very poor effort, no wonder Airbnb are stealing a march on some of these so called hotels.

Pros: Great location! Private secure parking. Good price! Will definitely stay here again!
Cons: Little noisy, but it died down after 11:00.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an absolute gem. Funky rooms, a 10 minute walk from the town centre, great breakfast, incredible value but what really made it exceptional was the staff. Our last morning I couldn't sleep, and woke at 5am. I decided to go and find somewhere to sit so as not to disturb my sleeping girlfriend, and found that the salon was empty - as you'd except at 5am! One of the staff, whose name I sadly didn't think to ask, came in around 6am to start setting up for breakfast. As soon as she saw me she asked if I'd like a coffee, then proceeded to make sure I was OK after that. That simple touch of spending a few minutes chatting, getting me a coffee and making sure I was OK was just lovely, and way above what was expected. Amazing how it's the little touches that make the difference between a good places and a great place. This is a great place, and I recommend it highly. If the management read this, your staff are wonderful, especially the dark haired lady at breakfast time.
Cons: Nothing - parking is available close by if the hotel's garage is full, and it's a great walk to the town centre from here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: staff friendly breakfast good parking ok
Cons: nothing

Pros: Auto check in, great continental breakfast. Friendly staff.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A very warm welcome and lots of local information from Jerome. A very practical motel-style bedroom with the car parked just outside. A generous continental breakfast. This little hotel was in a Zone Commerciale just outside St Flour, very handy access from the A75 Méridienne motorway. Although next to Bricomarche and opposite McDonalds, there were views over the rolling Cantal countryside. A surprisingly good stop-over on our way homewards to the UK.
Cons: A bit out of the old town of St-Flour but we walked in in 30 minutes and it would only have been minutes in the car. Not our normal sort of hotel but so, so practical.

6.3 Good
Pros: The location was very calming and relaxing. The swimming amenities were very good. At the head of the valley was a perfect position
Cons: We had the suite which was very well specified but really needs air conditioning due to the fact that it is in the apex of the roof.Evening meal time was limited to one hour and the service reflected this ,the serving staff were unhelpful, rude and one stormed off from our table whilst we were trying to seek clarification of a dish (my French is A level standard so that is not the issue).Menu is very very limited and the desserts offered were none of those off the official menu, which was a disappointment to us as the offerings on the menu were really enticing.Do not class a bowl of strawberries (without cream etc) as a restaurant standard dish.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great little pool for younger kids. Nearby town had good traditional French shops/bakeries/etc. Lovely scenery.
7.0 Good
Pros: Setting. Evening meal was great value and of a good quality

Pros: Location was ok. Scenery - beautiful. Staff - if you don't speak French - DO NOT BOOK IT!
Cons: Staff (the lady who does check in) didn't even try to speak English, no cooperation, no attempt to make herself understandable. When you say a simple thing in English she would answer in French and in a very long way. I felt that she tried her best to make herself the least understandable possible.

Pros: Beds were clean and comfortable, the kids loved the upstairs bedroom, the area was lovely, conveniently situated for our journey to Spain. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Gave us extra towels and cups. We left before breakfast but the breakfast smelled amazing!!! The value was very good for our family room. Would stay again, and try to leave later so we can sample the delicious smelling breakfast!
Cons: The whole shower room got soaked when using the shower as there was no curtain. A small fridge would have been helpful as I had medication to store and we were leaving early in the morning before the staff would have been available to give it back to me if they had stored it.

Pros: Fantastic location with panoramic views of the old town perched on the hill. A short walk into the main square where there were bars and restaurants. We walked up into the old town of St Flour which was very picturesque. The hotel offered a breakfast that was very reasonably priced, and had a terrace next to the breakfast area.
