Pros: I loved the location. Right by the water looking out onto the bay. The view was great!
Cons: The service was not great. The waiters never came down to the waterfront huts to see if we needed drinks. It took a while to get their attention every time.
Pros: A driver collected me from the airport and took me to the hotel, and was nice enough to drop my friend at her hotel on the way. The staff were friendly. The room was clean, and the gardens at the hotel were very nice.
Cons: Wifi was meant to be included, but it did not work at all. I was told the night before that the driver would take me to the airport at 10am. At 8am the next morning they told me that I had to be ready to leave at 8.30am. I then just waited at the airport in the van until 10.30, when I could have had a look at the markets, or stayed in my hotel room until the actual time that I needed to leave.
Pros: Staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Great location right near the markets. Very safe. Food was generally good. Sea views from the grounds. Clean swimming pool.
Cons: No usable Wifi. Don’t try the wine, stick to beer & cider. The local beef in the restaurant was tough as leather.
Pros: Central location and that it was right on the water. Nice grounds.
Cons: I was given the room on the very end of building which was one of the most expensive rooms. Other members of my group (booking with same surname and check in day) were on the very opposite end. They obviously don't put two and two together. When i called for the internet password i was told to come to the front desk to collect it, so i did. No point though because the network wouldn't even come up in my room. In fact it only worked around the front desk/restaurant area. Then the next day they tried to charge me a much higher rate for the room until i showed her the booked price stated on the Booking.com app. I know PNG is expensive and was prepared for that, but you can stay in a 5 star resort in most parts of the world much cheaper than the prices they want to charge here. A continental breakfast was included, and ok if you like donuts for breakfast. No visable tea or coffee so i asked for one. Coffee is free apparently, but you must pay for tea. Never heard of that before. Sorry tea drinkers! The fruit tray ran out very quickly. I waited for more to come but it didn't, so i asked if there was any more fruit. Then they brought a tray out straight away. It was obviously in the fridge, just they don't bring it out. The hotel itself is clean enough but it's like an average motel trying to charge 7 star prices. They can get away with it because of the location and lack of competition.
Pros: Nice rooms and area
Pros: In a remote location in a developing country, so one has to allow for this. I do not judge this hotel in the same light as a city hotel in a swanky city. Given the location, the hotel was very comfortable, but the prices were a little on the high side.
Pros: Unwanted people walking into premises without living there
Cons: Room service costing K10 every meal you ordered where it doesn’t happen elsewhere and staff short changing guests
Pros: We had a great weekend, good location, great setting, good views and friendly staff.
Cons: Staff could do with some training, service was slow in the restaurant and bar. the staff were not confident in making a pot of coffee. Bar service was also slow with the barmaid pre-occupied with other duties.
Pros: Good location, friendly staff
Cons: Over priced for the standard of accommodation , food average.
