Pros: We had a wonderful, relaxing break at La Pura. Our room was lovely (and we very much appreciated the upgrade, thank you) and the views were spectacular. Fantastic breakfast served on the terrace by the exceptional and considerate hosts. Thank you Netteke and Thomas (and the lovely Cookie the dog :-)) , we hope to return soon!
Pros: Location! We enjoyed beautiful sunrise in the morning and stunning sky with full of stars in the night. Thank you for great tips for sightseeing. It was a great stay!
Cons: Little challenging road to get there, but that’s what you expect anywhere in Andalusia.
Pros: We got a room in an old refurbished garage and the view through glass doors and the terrace was truly spectacular! It felt like you could see most of southern Spain. The room was very modern. The place is located up on a hill at the end of a small but well kept road, could be hard to find in the dark though so a GPS would be advised. Nearest village with restaurants is some 10-15 minutes driving away. The host were very welcoming and nice and presented a nice breakfast. The pool had been emptied for the season the day before but was probably anyway too cold for a swim in late November after a period of low temperatures and rain. The pool are however looked very nice! Together with the room comes the most lovely dog you could ask for and it really enjoyed hanging out with us and we with it!
Cons: As with most places in Spain houses are built to be cooler inside than outside and that was a little problem when outside was only 14 degrees. There was air condition so we could get a decent temperature inside but the stone floor was very cold. However that was the case at most places in our round trip.
Pros: Fabulous service, amazing breakfasts, terrific location and the most delightful, informative and helpful hosts.
Pros: Nice and quiet place in the Spanish inland. Extremely friendly owners taking good care of their customers. They served a very nice breakfast on the terrace overlooking the nice surroundings with olive trees, avocado and orange trees. Our best recommendations. Best regards Toril and Inge.
Cons: No complains
Pros: Wow, a remote location in the mountains. Amazing scenery. Great hospitality.
Cons: The way to get there is not easy. Try to arrive before sunset.
Pros: Set in quiet countryside with stunning views. Very attentive hosts who were full of advice and useful information ; they were happy to make suggestions of things to do depending on your interests. Interesting track up to the property but found easily with Google maps or similar app. Super breakfasts, drinks & mini fridge with drinks at sensible prices & room for own snacks etc. Lovely pool ,seating area & a boule area surrounded by plants & lavender bushes. A great base to visit the coastal towns or historic ones such as Ronda. Set in one of Spains National Parks so super walks and wildlife.
Cons: The length of time we were able to stay!
Pros: Quiet, beautiful location. Lovely hosts. Delicious breakfast.
Pros: This is a definitely a luxury B and B,the hosts Thomas and Nettecke were outstanding. Fantastic breakfast will definitely stay again

Pros: Perched on top of the mountain, with fabulous views of the twinkling lights of the village of Tolox below. The food was totally unexpected and absolutely gorgeous. Lovely Clean comfortable rooms and superb obliging staff. We loved our stay at this personal hideaway on the edge of the National Park. See Eagles soaring above. Relax in the swimming pool and surrounds. My partner and I will definitely go back at the our first opportunity.
Cons: There was nothing we did not like. 10/10 the best value I’ve found for a long time. Don’t stay in someone’s Air B&B apartment for the the same price. This is much better value with service and style. So friendly.
Pros: Wonderfull views, excellent cuisine
Pros: The hotel had old world charm.
Pros: Yes very good pool area well looked after
Pros: We were shown ti a beautiful room whuch was exceedingly hot. We were given another room although cooler was not as good. Staff could not do enough for us
Cons: Lilltle tight in the room.
Pros: Everything was wonderful. Very friendly staff, food excellent, view fantastic.
Cons: The only thing bad was a dog barking outside all night.
Pros: Unique hotel, a cool mountain retreat, peace and quiet, lovely staff, the food exquisite, delicious local wines, spacious, views to die for, country walks, hot summer days a dip in the pool, our junior sweet was comfortable and spacious, we will return again and again
Cons: Garden furniture and sun beds a little tired.
Pros: Beautiful place
Cons: Nothing, except we had to cycle up the hill to get to it ... 300 metre climb .. was worth it though!
Pros: Location was wonderful: 360 degree views of mountains, but easy to drive to. Excellent hillwalking straight from the hotel. Room was spacious (junior suite) clean, light, comfortable and temperature controlled. Good choice (& generous portions) at breakfast and evening meals, served by friendly & helpful staff. Outside space: garden & pool area, was also well maintained & welcoming. Even the wifi worked all of the time.
Cons: Nothing. Everything met or exceeded our expectations.
With a stay at The African House in Tolox, you'll be 2.4 mi (3.9 km) from Sierra de las Nieves and 12.2 mi (19.7 km) from La Torre de Yunquera. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautifull destination, really nice rooms, gorgeous panorama. We really enjoyed the pool, excellent service, the people working there were really helpful and polite!
Cons: The wifi not working in our room just in the common spaces. Breakfast is good but not so copious and varied. There is no fridge on the room just in the common kitchen.
Pros: Beautiful isolation! Lovely property in the countryside outside Tolox (don't make the mistake we did of driving through Tolox - a challenge to be feared! - check messages from the owners who advise not to!). Very friendly family run - had the place to ourselves - would love to go back and spend more time relaxing here rather than using it as a base to travel from.
Cons: The roads in the area are an experience to say the least - but don't let this put you off!!
Pros: Ana and Aldo are gracious hosts. Upon arrival at 8:45 p.m. my wife and I had not eaten. Ana offered to make us dinner. Wonderful chicken pinchitos, potatoes, and a pepper, onion, salad. Very peaceful location.
Pros: great place made with love!
Cons: difficult access road
Pros: The location and view is amazing, worth the difficult road to get to the property. The hosts are also great people.

Pros: Thank u for the hospitality! We came with a car, late and we where super tired. But the staff was relax and helpful. Thanks again.
Cons: Breakfast was not worth the money at all.
Pros: The hotel is really nice and clean. The room was very comfortable and the location is beautiful. However, I recommend having a car as it is a bit remote. Staff is very nice and helpful, but their English is limited.
Cons: The breakfast was really bad and absolutely not worth the money. Only nice thing was the fresh orange juice, but you have to squeeze it yourself. All the personnel was nice except for the pool cleaner who claimed that my son could not bring toys to the pool area and he made the stay by the pool really uncomfortable for us. We didn't use the pool again during the stay and actually considered moving hotel due to this.
Pros: Room was large and cool. Bed was comfortable, bathroom good, outside the terrace was fabulous. The staff were really helpful and friendly.
Cons: The food was basic.
Pros: The property was beautiful and surrounding area also beautiful. A hidden paradise!

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The property exceeded our expectations but difficult to find.
Cons: There was a wedding party with very loud music on night 2...they made them leave at 8 and did nit charge us for our meals... very apologetic!!
Pros: there was a large bath and the bathroom was very clean
Cons: Room was noisy as it was overlooking the road. Also there were a lot of flies as there was no mosquito net.
Pros: Great food, beautiful old cortijo well restored, great collection of old agricultural implements
Cons: Not many choices for vegetarians in the restaurant´s menue.
Pros: The setting for the hotel is excellent. The work carried out to restore the building outstanding. A very interesting hotel on the eye. The food and menu was good.
Cons: Because of the lack of other guests and the size of bar and restaurant it was a bit soulless. The restaurant did not open until 8.15pm and at times there seemed to be a lack of staff. If you arrive after the main staff have left for the day (about 10-10.30pm) the door is locked and we had to rely on friends to let us in as the night staff were in the kitchen and could not hear the door being knocked. Perhaps it was the time of year and the lack of other guests that was the problem?
Pros: This property is quite remote but it is a little gem - we were going to walk the Caminito del Rey and this hotel is very well located for this - if you like Paradores you will be right at home - this is an old coaching inn and full of wonderful character - only 15 rooms so a quiet property - we also had a lovely evening meal.
Cons: Not really anything to say here
Pros: Pool was nice and good restaurant, and room was ok too.
Cons: Wifi and aircon in the room werent the best,
Pros: Good reform, very quiet place, very clean, with charm.
Pros: Tastefully decorated in keeping with the building, quite a unique experience
Cons: Would have liked to be able to get a snack but nothing available.

Pros: Excellent! Very charming location and nice room.

Pros: Clean and tidy
Pros: Suited our requirements
Pros: Nice location, perfect servis (they wait for us till 1AM)
Cons: Small room, but no problem
Pros: It is a good location and nice and clean establishment.
Cons: My only 2 complaints are not in the control of the owners. The noise from guests coming in a 3am and others leaving at 6am was ricidulous!! In the morning the cafe downstairs was not open for breakfast on Sunday morning and not easy to find somewhere to have coffee at 8am.
Pros: Clean and functional..friendly staff and ideal for my needs...
Cons: Would've liked a kettle to make a cup of tea..thin walls-could hear person in the next room snoring..and a chair on the terrace
Pros: - clean room, confortable room - clean bathroom - nice personal (only speaks spanish though) - free parking in front of the hostal
Cons: - very small room and ugly view
Pros: Being able to wash clothes
Cons: Noisey bar early in the morning, woken up early
