Confortable room Very slow check-in/out
Location if doing a cruise could not be beaten. It is also handy to buses, cafes etc. Nothing we didnt like
We stayed there one night to yoin a Cost Cruis ship, location perfect.
It was very nice and the staff was excellent and very helpful. Nothing to complain about, everything was fine.
The quality of the room i stayed in was superb. Hi-tech, comfortably, safe. The area is going through major development. It will have a great mix of modern and rustic scenary. The harbor is a great place to hang out, eat, drink. The town center is a beautiful place to eat shop. My stay was very relaxing, and served as a great base.
I only stayed one night, prior to a cruise - the hotel offered all we needed, easily located, good meal, etc. Not applicable
The hotel is in a very nice place near to the sea. They should have internet point.
Close to Costa Cruises Departures.
Helpful and professional staff, position, new structure and environment. It only miss a sauna...
The service from the Hotel personnel was excellent None
from the outside you did not realize the what was inside like going back in time high painted ceiling and a great host no ensuite but a good large bathfoom
The owner gave us a free bus pass to get into Savona. It was outdated, dark and cold.
Staff is well prepared to serve travelers of Corsica Ferries. No private bathrooms.
beautifull furniture, wall paintings, stairs breakfast: more fresh bread and cheese
the family atmosphere
Very frendly and helpfull staf. Good breakfast. There was no parking place, where to leave a car.
Fantastic place. Old world, wonderful person, made us a rec. for dinner at a lovely real spot. The small town, while near the ferries to Corisca etc. is interesting and lively. We loved it. My husband helped the owner translate to another group. This type of place is fading fast. For certain types of travelers, it beats all. We loved it!! But for some, it might not suit. It is a Bed and Breakfast, technically, but so much more. If you are looking for a regular hotel experience, this is not for you. That said, it is fantastic if you want to stay in the current, real Italy on your way to wherever.
Ceiling paintings great. bREAKFAST good. No toilet roll in bathroom. vERY hard to find.
The decor was fantastic, like going back in time 300 years. Breakfast was very good, varied and plentiful. Furniture was also period, though the door fell off our bedroom cabinet. Bed was comfortable and atmosphere was peaceful. Great value for money. Very different experience. Our hostess seemed a little harassed as she was fully booked and spent a lot of time on the phone. She opened the door and left us on the door step. the hotel was not that easy to find, and parking places nearby a bit hit and miss.
Pleasant place with some old fashioned style
clean rooms in a good location with excellent views and pleasant staff
The location with the see so close and the nice boulevard. Also the fact that you could park the car in front of the hotel (mid-september) It was much more simple than the idea from the web-site. Although the breakfast room was still almost empty, there was put a German couple right next to us.
Staff efficient and helpful. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts very good - and good value Bedside lighting not good enough to read in bed. Wi-fi access would have been desirable
The place was clean, organised in the main part, a good level of English spoken but i had a real Italian feel to it (which is good). Lots of help getting into the hotel and leaving with the luggage, nice foyer, very good proximity to the beach WiFi not available in the rooms, the restaurant opened from 7.30 to 8.00 pm ..... any later and you were too late....which is a bit strange...we noticed some variable standards in the room shampoo and soap provision, i.e. barely used soap had been put back in the wrapper ...and put back on the sink as new
Great location and you could hear the ocean, nice resturant in hotel and little bar...easy walk to other resturants and a great town.
Cleanliness of room and the terrace with a panoramic view on the seaside Nothing
Amazing View to the Beach, Great Location
It was in an excellent position close to the beach and many other attractions in Finale Ligure
Very clean, frendly staff, family run, close to town centre and beach, offstreet parking, free wireless internet and good breakfast Quite noisy area (road)
Newly renovated: Clean; Convinient for Finale Ligure; Helpful Small point only - breakfast was good but woud have liked more choice of cereals.
The room was cleaned every day, beds were made up. Breakfast was very nice, also the location were the breakfast is held is very nice (on a big balcony). We were leaving a day earlier than supposed, because I got sick. The woman at the reception didnt show any compassion and we still had to pay the full price for the night that we didnt stay. They make you pay a lot of parking money, when it is not even in front of the building.
beautiful lanscape, very good breakfast
Modern hotel in charming location. Helpful staff. All matched nor exceeded expectations.
excellent, friendly helpful staff, excellent 5 course traditional evening meals, relaxed feeling, short walk to sea front. from my point of view no, but the walk up to the hotel from town/sea would not perhaps suit everyone
Hotel is nice, but price is quite high for such rooms. We liked the sea and city view.
Friendliness of proprieter. The Food. The service
Room, location No shower gel/shampoo refills without asking
View... And price for the one night stay. Parking. The hotel is some 3 kilometres from the town. You only can drive there from the hotel, no chance to get anywhere by walk. Beaches are not very much pleasant to visit. We hardly could sleep at night as the windows seems like do not provide any protection from noise from the road.
The restaurant was extremely good value. The room was clean with a fair TV service. There was wi-fi. The staff were very friendly although english was not their language at all. The lift was in good order The bathroom was sad with broken bits and some black rot on the ceiling - the water pressure was low in the morning - otherwise acceptable. The impression was a 1970's Hotel up graded to fit the 2010's but arriving at the mid1980's. The price at 95Euro was, we thought high for this hotel - 55Euro would have been right however its proximity to Portofino may account for the price. The Genova boatshow was starting the night we stayed thus this was the only Hotel under 350 euros available.
Excellent location near the beach. Wide room with a lot of space. A bit difficult to find. Getting a parking space was a bit of a challenge
Good location, nice view from the room.
Sea View & parking Room was too noisy, shower was broken, towels were poor quality, breakfast was poor
Having the room just above the kitchen. - And as for most hotels single rooms are just too expensive
The presence of the private parking
sea view Kitchen smells in the bedroom;drab and well worn furnishings; surly staff.
I do not like this hotel at all. Churlish and rude personal and distasteful rooms. The beach - sorry sight.
location comfort in the room and breakfest
Very good location for 1 night stay during car journey fron France to Italy. We booked paid parking but were provided by groung parking on hotel territory free of charge! Frendly hotel staff on reception reccomended us good restaurant for late night dinner nearby.
I realy liked people who work in the hotel. They are very friendly. But only two of them speak English. The hotel is good lockated, just near the see and in two minutes wirking to the town centre. I would like to have more diferensiated breakfast with more fruits and cheese. As well in the night is impossible to order tee to the room. You have to go to the bar and take it your self.
The fact that it was close to the beach. The food of the restaurant was very good and the staff was friendly. We believe the services, the room and the hotel itself was not worth the money nor it's really a 4 star hotel. It needs mayor upgrading.
The hotel was v ery well situated near the town centre and beach The hotel was a little out of date, and did not seem to be 4star standard
Good location, parking ok, staff carefull. Breakfast was poor, the hotel is not a 4 star hotel really.
Location, parking, comfort of room, friendly and efficient staff.
Staff were very friendly. No wireless internet, but you can use internet for free at reception. Good location with short walk to beach and food shops.
There were no good points about this hotel - if I could have I would have checked into another hotel Filthy room, bugs everywhere, no hot water, hygene terrible, bed uncomfortable
Friendly staff, low price, german cafe with great food directly across from the hotel Shower cubicle is quite small (I'm quite slim)
located in a good position for the beach and the seaside As far as the month of June is concerned , they accept too many small children and therefore you cannot have a quiet time
Very nice and helpful staf. Large rooms and close to the centre of town and the beach.
Very quiet and comfortable with fairly good breakfasts. Really nice brand new bathroom in our room.Comfy beds. Staff unable or unwilling to provide me with an early breakfast when I was leaving at 07:00.The night before I was told that there would be someone on the desk to help me in the morning.I ended up going into the dining room and making my own coffee which was not that great. No one answered when I rang the desk bell at 06:45.Website said the hotel had washing machines for bicyclists gear , but these were apparently non existent.
Kindness of hotel staff
very well situated good staff helpfull
Lots of facilities and lovely staff
Perfect location to stay with small children. Very good food.
facilities were good...and it was an escape from the busy sea fronts difficulty in access to tennis courts
The cuisine was good, the pools were handy noise at night, extra beds smaller and uncomfortable than advertised.
Kind staff, very helpful, very reasonalbe prices in Pizzeria (don't know about restaurant), very friendly with children, nice seaview (farer away) opening times of swimming area could be longer. Instead of 9 - 19 h, 8 - 20 h. So, if you have to leave the hotel in the morning, you would have the possibility of going for a swim in the morning before breakfast.
Swimming Pool is great. Entretainment is only in italian, makes you feel apart.
Excellent for families with kids, although distant from the see Long waiting time at the reception, reception staff willing but not efficient, boring breakfasts
not much I was on a business trip your hotel is a family resort, it was over priced, in poor condition and totally not what I was looking for
Fantastic swimming pools, lovely apartment and excellent food. Our stay was only 4 nights but we had no new towels or room service which l did expect at least once and l didnt like the idea after paying in advance for the stay of having to also put a deposit down once at hotel and also having to strip our own beds and return the linen and towels to the laundry for them to check it was all there before we could leave and have our deposit returned.
The friendly barman was accommodating and served us even though the bar had closed because we arrived extremely late due to the hotel. 1. Early check out time of 10am, 2. Hotel had not read the reservation correctly and only had one room prepared, despite it being almost midnight. 3. The reception staff were not systematic in their dealings with various customers, often leaving one halfway to attend to another, or having multiple members of staff dealing with one person.
We were possible to check in even before 14:00, parking fee is counted pre night, and stuff allowed me to leave car in parking space till evening of that thay when we checked out, what helped a lot. Room was OK (although view on sea would make it absolutely perfect) but I booked it on last minute.Very satisfied with garden and swimmongf pool. Nice breakfast with view on the sea. In general full satisfaction. Absence of Wifi signal in the rooms and garden.. Balcony on the side towards the hills was relatively small and accessible via bathroom, but it was not criticatl issue.
Close to the beach and the reception staff we excellent A little far from town and shopping. Resteraunt not open on the weekends
The staff was friendly and the room was nice. It had a/c which was nice during the summer. The view of the run down gas station was not the best.
Hotel is next to the petrol station, the beach is dirty, close to a factory, huge tanker boats in the coast. A frequent railway traffic just behind the hotel (even at night).
Location was near train station
Very helpful staff, smooth check-in/out, early breakfast to meet our needs to get back on the road early. Good value for money. Dog was allowed in the room with no problem. Close to highway, easily accessible, but also next to road and train as well. Cleanliness and quality of the room is average, we only stayed for 1 night so was no issue for us, but can be if you are planning to stay longer.
Location. Kindness. Confort. Breakfast
The hotel staff was very helpful and provided us with directions and called for taxis when needed.
As above Insuficient Staff
The staff was very hekpful The beds were very hard...new, clean but very firm.
None ay 99 e a night Value for money shocking, room very small, no facilities, air con / fan etc. Shabby hotel needs money spending on it, pool a joke, restuarant shocking to look at did'nt even bother to try it more of a canteen. Lots of noise from the roads, location completlty over looked by houses and apts.
A good family hotel, the pool was particularly nice for the kids as the beaches were rather overcrowded. The building wirk opposite was a bit noisy as were the trains from the station. But it was in a convenient position in the town.
Nice staff, good breakfasts Bathrooms very cramped - they really should not have bidets.
We had problerms upon arrival , since the hotel did not offer asssitance with the lugagees, and there are big, lengh stairs to reach the lobby, and my parents are seniors above 80 yrs. The receptionist could have beign more friendly, flexible and ehlped in some way...
The staff and the big dog.
Pleasant manner of staff. Decor and fittings rather dated and have seen better days, in need of refurbishment throughout. Lists of do's and don'ts can and can't do all over. Eg, cant eat or drink in room, (restaraunt not open evening during our visit) cant use pool at certain times, not a picnic area etc.
Not much really. If something, the LCD TV and the Internet point in the lobby. Rooms are very small with old furniture. Similar to rooms of 1-star hotels. Location is shady - just next to the railroad and a good 7-8 min walk to the city and the beach. Staff handles breakfast and reception at the same time. Parking is 50 m away and costs 5 Euro. If you truly have to be in Varazze, please consider another option.
Nice, quiet and pleasent atmosphare
Lovely hotel with friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and a very nice pool area. I had to cut my trip short and hotel staff were most understanding and helpful in this matter. Excellent location near central station and very close to town and beach. A/C was a bit noisy off and on, but worked well.
staff was very helpfull and understanding with my family of 5 hard to find
Room was fine but no restaurant and water in shower was cold at all times due to plumbing problem. No discount was even offered for the inconvenience.
