A really charmy and cozy hotel very well preserved and maintaining the original architectural lines, making it a good place for a coupple of days in the countryside, to recharge batteries and enjoy the peaceful sun. The staff were very professional and thoughtful with us during all stay.
The confort was good, the breakfast it was very good too, but small in diet options ( soja milk for vegetarian for example). It's is a very good place to relax! For a 4 star hotel the swiming pool was not in very good conditions of cleanliness, and the frigobar in the room was empty, it is not normal...
I suggest improve the breakfast.
The chance to visit historic Portugal and taste the local food and wines. We had business in Ponte de Sor and this was an ideal location. They were/are having problems with credit cards and we needed to withdraw cash from a machine which had a limit and this required me to make 2 trips to the machine.
I did like the attention of staff and the quality of meals.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Breakfast included and good. Rooms clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Dinner (extra) superb.
Clean hotel, friendly front desk staff - very helpful and they let our dog stay without a problem. The food was the worst we had eaten in years but the friendliness of the staff meant we didn't complain.
food and staff parking
Everything was perfect, We advise you to go there nothing to write
The swimming pool was nice, and the hotel is beautiful
Quiteness and confort
Beautiful old monastry. Friendly staff, nice room (in old part of the monastry, with old details). Calm and relaxing atmosphere. Nice pool with chairs and towels. We had a good meal in the restaurant (special offer) for only 20 Euro's each.
Clean swimming pool . Poor menu and food !! Inpersonnal hotel without a soul . No internet in rooms .Isolated location .
The Hotel was vastly overpriced, particularly the resteraunt, Dinner for two, tasteless, extremely poor quality over 90 Euros. A single cup of capucinno 10 Euros. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The ambience was extremely restful however the rooms were shabby but the bed very comfortable.
A very calm, peaceful place, in a old monastery. The arrival was magic, the bedrooms are excellent and it was a very good to rest and gain energy.
Charming. Convenient for me. Bathroom ventilation needs improvement. Need better front door access (key) during late hours.
Wonderful lady (we think she is called Fatima) who looked after everything for us from check-in to the fantastic meal...despite a language barrier! All with a huge smile. Our suite was excellent, with view over the old convent....and the pool setting is marvelous too. Oh, and I should mention the great breakfast. Would love to return.
100% perfect! A truly superb place at which to stay.Looking forward to a return visit in the spring time to enjoy the area in better weather conditions.
This is a magnificant place. Donna Fatima will try to do everything to offer you a wonderfull stay. Good breakfast which can be eaten outside. The interiour was wonderfully renovated and brings you really back in time.
The well-kept garden and pool area, comfortable lounges, big rooms and tranquility.
Nice place, friendly owners, everything O.K.
The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful and made my stay a real pleasure. They prepared a special (delicious) meal for me and accommodated all my requests. My room was comfortable and peaceful. No
Beautiful countryside. Staff were excellent, charming with children and breakfast stunning (amazing selection of local cheeses, homemade jams etc). Evening meal well worth having. Had outdoor pool to ourselves. Children play area clean and well maintained. Overall, a quiet place trying to make a name slightly off the tourist route but central for exploring the Alentejo by car.
Fabulous hotel: friendly, courteous staff, beatifully appointed rooms, very very clean. Air-conditioning, great pool. Overall though, the staff, particularly the manageress, were excellent and that alone was invaluable.
very good breakfast the pool and garden could be in better conditionons, very small bed, bathroom very simple
The hotel is an old building in good condition, with a great view over the cork trees. in the facilities text of the hotel is mentioned they have a restaurant. indeed they have but it is not in function, a pity because we searched for a hotel with restaurant.
nice swiming pool with salty water. Very good breakfast. In a very calm and pleasant location.
The pastoral setting and views from the hotel were very nice and scenic. The breakfast was well above average with very nice selection of local cusine. Manuel the proprietor was very nice and helpful and suggested a good place to eat dinner in the local town. No we were very pleased with our stay although it was only for one night.
The place is really out of this world. Very peaceful, beautiful surrounding, very large and well decorated bedrooms; staff is just magnificent. Will certainly repeat the experience. The swimming pool was also very very nice. Nothing
We really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, making us coffee on arrival and lighting a log fire for us in the lounge which we had to ourselves as we were the only guests at the time. Our room had a lovely four-poster bed with a beautiful view over the countryside. Breakfast was very good, with lots of local produce to try. All in all we couldn't fault this rural hotel.
The peace and serenity cannot be fully expressed in words, one MUST experience it for oneself. Our wonderful helper was a blessing, she could not do enough for us and is an asset to the hotel. Breakfast was not over done but was quite enjoyable in its simplicity...instead of LOTS of stuff they had good quality jams, cheeses, breads...I would stay here again without a doubt. The bed was a little short. I think if the hotel offered some simple catering services it would be an added bonus, since the town of Fronteira lacks restaurant options.
I liked the quiet & lack of other guests & the size of the apartment with dogs
The facilities were fantastic; the hosts were just great and the food (breakfast) was really delicious. We would definitely go back. And a perfect location for exploring the surrounding historic villages.
The room was beautifull (Bordeaux room), the breakfast was great, the garden, the hospitality
Stunning portugese renovated home, and the service was amazing. We really felt welcome. Extremely friendly owners who went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. The hotel was more of a b&b than a hotel. Lovely rooms - really gorgeous throughout. I will recommend A Flor Da Rosa to everyone, and will stay there again if I return to the area.
Owner is very friendly and helpfull. Casa is a beautiful place.
Small privately owned hotel, owners friendly and very obliging. House and rooms full of character and charm . Excellent breakfast. Only available parking was on the road near the hotel.
