hotel staff and spa The hotel must go quickly to the renewal of the old wing which is not anymore according with the rest of the hotel and the rate requested.
Arrived at 3pm. No food available and water switched off so no coffee. However, manager arrived, and arranged lovely salad with bread and a beer. Great Should always have some "emergency" food option available
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing - never seen such a big choice for breakfast!!! Rooms were extremely comfortable and well equipped.
So far my best hotel i booked in Germany. Good location, most attractions of the Lake Constance are close by. I liked the place so much I prolonged my visit from 3 to 4 days.
The location of the Gasthof was good. We liked the Children's Playground and the free public parking on site.
Delightful room (with wooden beams) well equipped, wide bed, tv not only with German's channel, sofa... Breakfast is also very good: wide range of breds, cooked meats... Finally, the staff is friendly No internet internet connexion available in the room
Large rooms. Good location. Nice value for money restaurant. Cleaning of rooms needs improvement. Breakfast could be better.
Friendly staff and atmosphere
Good for 2 star. No box in the shower.
Nica small family run hotel, very good restaurant downstairs, nice breakfast buffet, walking distance to old city in Weingarten and close (by car) to Ravensburg, Friedrichshafen and Bodensee Could cost little bit less, no lift (but generally nice hotel so these are not important cons)
Staff speaks also English. We had a very nice dinner, and quite night.
Restaurant was closed and there was no lift
The Hotel Is in a great locale close to some great tourist attractions, Ravensbureg, Lake Constance (Bodensee) Lindau etc. Room was very nice and clean It has a good breakfast (I did not otherwise dine there) Services are good and staff were polite and efficient to my needs (taxi, breakfast, room service and accommodating) Did not notice anything significant over the two nights I stayed although mini b ar was expensive (on par with other hotels).
Big room, good service, very good restaurant.
Very spacious and comfortable room & bathroom. Also, there was the mini kitchen. High speed wi-fi connection in the room. Good breakfast.
Everything is nice. Mainly the friendly staff. There are few parking spots around and sometimes there was no place to park the car.
the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful the rooms could do with air conditioning, far too hot
The staff is very friendly und helpful - the restaurant has a wonderful choice - you can even order smaller dishes if you wish bathroom needs to be renewed but still very clean
Very helpful staff Limited parking
Order and cleanliness Working order of equipment
My stay was excellent! The manager, Christian Unglert, was the most hospitable, caring hotel employee I have ever seen at any hotel I have ever stayed at before! Because of him, I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone! The lack of air-conditioning in many of the rooms. The temperature in Germany during that time was in the mid 30s. My room had ac, but I got the last one to have ac. I am grateful that I was able to get a room with ac. Maybe you could place fans in each room, or have acs installed.
The entire staff was outstanding and freindly. no
almost everything was great only the shower was low preasurre in the morning but I hope this was temporary
Very clean and comfortable accomodation. friendly and helpful staff. Good location for the centre of the town but peaceful (apart from the night when the annual castle fesitval was on ! ) The middle age banquet in the RitterKellar (cellar) was fantastic, kids loved it. Hotel resteraunt very nice with lovely, reasonable priced food. Not a dislike, but I reccomend uk visitors try to learn a little german as not all the staff could speak english and they appreciate you trying their language.
Friendly staff, great food (the "ritterkellar" with its medieval banquet is a must - only if you are a meat eater though!), spotless and recently decorated rooms, excellent security, pretty location. No complaints at all
lovely location, bed reasonably comfortable, friendly staff, spoke english, good food.
One of the strangest hotels I have ever stayed in - it really is a medieval theme hotel. But the room was clean and comfotable, with a balcony (not weather for sitting out when we were there!) and a very modern smart bathroom. We ate in the restaurant which was superb and reasonably priced, and breakfast was also very good. Presumably because of the 'fun' theme, there are a lot of families in this hotel, so avoid if you are looking for a little romance - at breakfast, we were ten adults and nine children, most of whom were quite excited and noisy!!! However, it's presumably a great place to stay if you're a family!
Big room for a family, very nice staff, clean, free parking. There was one down blanket per bed, a bit small.
Friendly staff, very helpful. Quiet and pleasant location in the vicinity of the Ravensburger Spieleland (which is the reason we spent the night there). Internet connection was too expensive for me. A show-stopper.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was quiet and very comfortable. Parking was close by and entirely safe. We felt completely at ease.
Clean. Having 2 queen beds was great, especially in Europe. Having free wireless was great. Breakfast price is too high.
The staff was helpful, friendly, and accomodating. Breakfast was too expensive.
Large studio, different pillows available Unfortunately no airconditioning in the room
It was a good experience for business and sight seing. No complains
Reasonably central No air con made the nights oppressive. This is not a 4 star hotel. Also I was advised by the hotel staff about the adjacent swimming and spa complex, went there and found it was closed for the summer and they didn'even know.!
We stayed here just one night on our way north to the Frankfurt airport. Because we had an early departure, we would have missed the included breakfast at the hotel. The hotel staff made to-go breakfasts and lunches for our group of six, which made our travel day much more convenient and pleasant. As for the stay, everything was clean, quiet, and close to several dining options, including the restaurant in the hotel. Thank you!
Very professional and kind staff. Excellent breakfast.
Nice spacious triple bad room, friendly staff, in the heart of old city with nice shopping area No elevator - quite a lot, relatively narrow stairs to third (highest floor) when you need to carry your luggage, if big
The room was extremely clean and a really good size for european hotel room. It was quiet and relaxing. Private parking and ease to access. Just beside a shopping street and in front of a bank.Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The staff spoke limited english
Friendly, helpful staff who couldn't do enough to help. Lovely food. Nice location. The church clock was a bit annoying.
I enjoyed the breakfast service and the restaurant provided very tasty food, good value for money. Just the parking. There is actually limited car parking spots for the hotel which is not clearly indicated on the hotel website. After we talked to the owner, it sorted.
Location, free wifi, superb breakfast, nice staff, free parking
Nice hotel in the city center, very well furnished with wide variety of breakfast menu. It's not far (36 km) from Constanz (Bodensee) lake when comparing prices in Bodensee and here. During midnight there was big party of local radio in front of the hotel on the 1 night we stayied there. It was so noisy...but on the other hand there was personal apology on the reception and also written in the room.
Very good hotel, excellent value for money, friendly staff and good breakfast.
The food was excellent and tasted homemade
The room was large and we had use of the swimming pool. The food at the hotel was excellent.
Good staff, flexible attitude No
Room was spacious and comfortable. Parking lot was small but ample. There is a small pool but it is rather oddly in the basement of a another home outside the hotel itself which was a bit strange but was nice to use. No towels were provided. You'll have to ask directions to it as it is not signposted. Breakfast was a nice bonus but was rather basic with no eggs offered. Restaurant was a little pricey for the portion size. Hotel seems slightly overpriced for being quite a way from the lake and being quite basic but it is clean and comfortable and did the job for one night.
Good service, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent restaurant.
The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was large and spacious. It was difficult to find a parking space when we arrived back very late at night.
Nice rooms, pool small but nice-does not get much use, very helpful staff. We arrived late and they opened the kitchen and made us dinner at the restaurant. Very good food. Asked for rooms close but one was far away.
A comfortable friendly hotel with helpful staff. The room was excellent and well maintained and the restaurant was up to standard as well.
Big room and good breakfest. The bell of the church in front of our window at morning.
spacious room for family and delicious restorant
location to center of the city great difficulty in finding nearby parking
It's location because we where heading for Italy, pesant restaurant and staff no air-condition and it vas very hot when we stayed there
It is a nice small hotel: clean, lovely staff, situated in the center of the city. It has a good breakfast and also a nice bar. Practically no parking: it should have been qualify by “no parking”. The public parking that the hotel claims to have nearby is some route crossings away from the hotel, what makes it very difficult to move with the baggage.
Excellent central location; view of the authentic, old Ravensburg; excellent hotel restaurant! No!
No parking close by.
The hotel has a long history and is genuine. The food is traditional and excellent and the location could not be better, on a not trafficed road within the old city walls. The staff is also very friendly and the beds were very comfortable. Our room smelled a bit from the kitchen which was just underneeth us.
The position, in the middle of the old town. The breakfast, very good. The staff, english (and a bit italian) speaking and very kind. The bed, not at the level of the rest.
It was quiet and had secure parking Very small room provided
I was made to feel very welcome by the staff and the food was excellent N/A
Spacious room. Quiet. Wireless was only available in common area and expensive.
The hotel is beautiful and the town of Tettnung is very charming. The hotel staff were very accommodating, providing an extra bed for our oldest child. The rooms were large with a split bathroom and tastefully decorated. One of the nicest German hotels we have stayed in, and only about 10-15 minutes from Lake Constance. The breakfast buffet was adequate, but the choices of foods was limited.
There were other's people hairs on the bed. the wi-fi doesn't work on the room I stayed.
My colleagues were very satisfied with everything.
The bed was comfotanble and the room was spacious! There was no AC and so the room was quite warm and the traffic noise was quite bad.
For the 145 euro/day you have a very small room , with old furniture, in a very old building.Maybe somebody likes this old houses, anyway in Ravensburg they say it one of the best.We moved to Romantik , 130 euro /day but much better, even smoking rooms.
Cleanliness, efficiency Breakfast a little basic, but OK nontheless
feel nearly like home, people take care, helpful, very welcome make the effort to speak in English
Breakfast buffet was great. Staff very helpful. Had parking behind hotel. Restaurant was very good. Small bathroom, but very clean and with everything you need.
Friendly staff, good English speakers. Bedroom / bathroom both very small and would have liked a kettle in the room to make a cup of tea.
Staff was very accomodating
Excellent restaurant a little pricey but worth it. Late night bar. Helpful manager and staff.
We've stayed at a clean, spacy apartment with a fully equiped kitchenette (ground floor, separate entrance). The hotel is located in a walking distance to the city centre, but finally we ate at the hotel restaurant -- it proved to be very sophisticated but affordable (it's in fact a Michelin recommended place). As we were leaving very early, the staff prepared a breakfast for us in the evening -- very helpful. Wireless internet is fast (but paid: 5 euro/24h). Apartment is in a separate building, so one has to carry his luggage for 100 m from the hotel parking (and the walk includes some stairs).
It was a wonderful location and an excellent hotel. The complimentary breakfast was huge and delicious and the staff were great to us and very accommodating of our 3 year old son.
Rooms were large & very comfortable. Free wellness in basement, wet & dry sauna, Jacuzzi, relax etc. Internet not free, only Telecom wlan €8 per hour or €28 for 30 days
Very friendly staff, excellent facilities, large comfortable room. Buffet breakfast good, and dinner food very good, but a bit "pricey". Nothing
