Suspect bedbugs. My daughter came out with multiple bites from something.
The WiFi was good throughout the hotel. The staff was very friendly. I really appreciated the shuttle driver giving my son some milk from the breakfast fridge when we arrived. The room felt a bit cramped and had some cosmetic blemishes.
I asked for a non-smoking room and this was the best one I have ever had! There was absolutely NO SMELL in this room. Wonderful room. I would have liked a little more fruit at breakfast, but otherwise it was very nice.
Cleanliness and proximity to airport were my top qualities. Upon return to airport I called for shuttle and was told it would arrive in 10-12 minutes but it was 28 minutes before it arrived. Otherwise, service and hotel were great.
Close to the airport clean Friendly staff
Room and facility were very clean. Easy to find and access. Restaurants within walking distance. Amazingly well-insulated from airport noise. Comfortable, quiet and clean basic room for a one or two night stay. Great Value. Front desk staff wasn't terribly friendly, not rude but a little short. Free breakfast was basically coffee, juice and some pre-packaged pastries and cereal, but Bob Evans is next door. This is a BIG hotel and many rooms are a long walk from the lobby; if you have a disability be sure to ask for a room on the first or second floor near an elevator.
Amazingly comfortable beds. Great pillows. Clean room. Very nice shower No free breakfast? For the price it should be included
This hotel was very clean and all the people who I encountered who worked there were very friendly. I had booked a room with 2 beds expecting that my husband would sleep with one child and I would sleep with the other child. We arrived to find all the rooms with 2 beds were taken and we got a bed and a pull out sofa. It was fine but not super comfortable and not what I had booked. We had driven 8 hours that day and it would have been nice to sleep in a real bed.
We stayed here on short notice for a weekend getaway to Pittsburgh. Overall the room was great and the entire process was incredibly smooth. Although the room seemed very clean, finding a previous guest's socks under the bed made me wonder how closely the room is actually checked between guests. It was also a little bit pricey for the location (being a decent drive from downtown), but this was probably in large part due to us booking the room on the morning of our stay.
Front desk staff was very courteous. Place was clean. I was with my husband and two little children. beds are too small (double?) for family with children. (no queen beds in the hotel I was told. When I asked for a cot I was told I have to pay extra for a cot $20/day. Price per night was a bit high to begin with for the area (not being around town). I have stayed in Marriott several times at different cities. Marriott used to say, they won't allow cots in a room with two beds for fire safety. But now, at least on this Marriott we stayed, they would allow but you have to pay for it. ( disappointing). Parking was somewhat difficult.
The room was very nice and clean. The pool facility was nice which also has a gym. The staff was very nice and attentive. The pool was freezing cold. I think they had the a/c blasted.
Free parks big, children under 5 eat breakfast for free, friendly staff, I will return with my family. More counter space needed in rooms.
I liked the comfortable bed, adequate customer service, and dining options. The view was pretty nice as well. I did not like the stained comforter, nor the distance from the airport. A large, white comforter made it easy to spot any type and size of stain. My comforter had a few small stains, nothing noticeable at first, but after laying on it I noticed a few blood stains. I was enough for me to question the cleanliness of the entire room.
additionally, on the day that I did stay there was a power outage, which meant I had a cold shower in the dark. The hotel did not offer anything for my shocking experience.
The staff went above and beyond to make sure stay was excellent. The chef at breakfast was from Jamaica. He was very friendly and enjoyed his job. The bar tender (Brian) also enjoyed his job. He took care of us, but wasn't pushy. He also juggled a large amount of people from a wedding while taking care of us.
Staff were very friendly & hotel had almost all of the amenities we wanted (minus a hot tub). Location was good & price was very reasonable. Room could have been a little bit cleaner (a few hairs in the shower area) & the ice machine near our room was very loud.
The staff were extremely cooperative aznd the rooms were very comforatable and well furnished
Hotel staff was extremely friendly. Hotel was very clean. Looking forward to staying there again! Highly recommend!!
Entire place was very clean as well as the rooms. Great continental breakfast. Very friendly staff. Great price for a King room. Convenient to airport. Nothing
Staff was very accommodating. Took us to local restaurant so we didn't have to walk (was very cold). Shuttle to airport was very convenient.
The hotel was far from the city. We had to use uber to get in and out.
A used Wash cloth hanging from shower rod, continental breakfast no scrambled eggs ready, quality of service - good, quality of results - missing attention to details that matter. Front desk gave another guest room key for an already occupied room.
The breakfast bar provided was tasty and fresh. The personnel were friendly and professional. We were staying during a heat spell and the air conditioner fan rattled. Sounds insignificant until you're trying to fall asleep with that happening....a little too loud for "white noise." Also, the bathroom was well equipped, but the towel shelves were dusty.
I missed my flight and needed a place to stay overnight. This hotel was perfect. Johnny the shuttle driver picked me up and brought me to the hotel. the front desk gave me a toothbrush, tooth paste and deodorant and a nice room for the night. I slept like a rock in a very comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great. i printed out my boarding pass and was taken back to the airport. Overall good value and a great place to stay.
The staff was excellent and the breakfast was great!
Rooms are clean and bed is wondertul. Would like to see breakfast included for convenience.
King Suite was just great!
Room was clean and comfortable. Several restaurants nearby. Extended parking is less expensive than the airport. Shuttle runs every 30 minutes. It's not super close to the airport. The highway going to the airport is under construction (as always). Getting back on the interstate going north from Coraopolis is not straightforward. I was expecting a ten minute or less trip to Pittsburgh International but it was definitely longer, although not by much.
Clean and new rooms. Friendly staff. Great breakfast ! Noisy room heater.
The staff was very pleasant, and very helpfull. The hotel was clean, breakfast was good. The location was great close to shopping area and walking distance from restsurants.
room was clean and comfortable. Front desk person was slow and not friendly. Hotel is looking a bit seedy. Floor moldings are gone and wallpaper is coming off in places in hallway. Curtain sheers could use a washing.
rooms clean and comfortable
We loved everything about this hotel. Clean rooms, warm pool, comfortable beds and great staff. Breakfast was good and we really liked the togo bags for travelers. This is the only hotel that I have been at that gives their travelers a water, apple, muffin, and snacks for your trip. That we did not stay longer.
First and foremost, wood floors...yay!!! No carpet was a huge plus....huge bed, super clean aND the staff was AMAZING! Very close to everything
The price you get what you pay for. This is place for someone on a budget no frills accommodation. Great for truckers The room was small and it didn't have many complimentary toiletries. No microwave or refrigerator in the room. Also very noisy outside the rooms in the morning. Would not recommend for families
Went down into Station Square. We saw a show at The Funny Bone comedy club. Dinner at HardRock. Did the Incline before show.
It was a great stay. My only concern was that the room smelled as cigar. Somebody was smoking in a Non-Smoking room. I asked for another room but it was not possible to get another room.
The Cookies .... and everyone was very nice
Comfortable room. Good breakfast. Relatively expensive.
Bed is very comfortable. Hotel wifi is complimentary and signal is good. A bar downstairs is nice but closed early. Airport shuttle bus is by appointment udrong check in. Driver is friendly and helpful. Not many restaurants nearby. Swimming pool is small. Breakfast is not complimentary, though they do have free coffee and tea.
Room was fine. Large breakfast area, well designed Top TV channels (NBC,CBS, ABC, Fox) not available. Maybe on another input but I couldnt find them. Breakfast staff was overwhelmed on busy Sunday morning and could not keep items stocked.
Very good breakfast. Basic, but clean, comfortable room. It was a bit expensive. They left an annoying voice mail asking if we needed anything to make our stay comfortable. We got back to the room at 11:00pm and didn't need to deal with voice mail message then.
The staff at the complementary breakfast could not have been anymore friendly and helpful. The girl at the front desk was also very welcoming. Have stayed at that hotel before in Pittsburgh love the location will stay there again Tv didn't work. It wasn't plugged in. That should have been checked alight was also out Simple maintenance but wasn't done
The rooms were nice and the inside of the hotel was ver. Ice. Breakfasts there were delicious. Location was inconvenient if you don't have a car because there is no stores or much of anything else close by.
The atmosphere of the hotel, the free breakfast and evening reception. That the WI fi wasn't free and the hot tub was outdoors and there wasn't a spa.
Great room, good food, great staff. WiFi was spotty.
The hotel is located within close distance to plenty of shopping, restaurants and tourist destinations. The front desk and breakfast staff were exceptionally kind and efficient, and the hotel rooms and ambience was clean and modern. My wife and I look forward to staying again next visit! My only complaint was the fact that we got a room next to a very loud snorer and heard him through the walls. Turning up the air/fan helped to deaden the noise considerably.
pool area closeness to food beds CHARGING for BREAKFAST! Not letting me get my rewards points because I booked through Kayak!
Nice accommodations No breakfast included.
Comfy beds Clean bathroom Nice location Beautiful lobby The hair dryer took quite awhile to find, but it was still there!!
I had an accessible room which was close to the elevator. The walk in shower was important with my leg issues. The bathroom smelled like there was a sewage problem.
The staff was nice. We rented the room for New Years Eve so we could swim. The pool was so cold you could only tolerate the water for about 30 minutes. This was a big disappointment for my group as well as all the other families with young children who wanted to swim on New Years Eve.
Very clean facility.
Beautiful hotel clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Had a restaurant bar inside which was convenient. However the location was surrounded by shops and restaurants gas stations etc. Great location. Would highly recommend. Couldn't say...no complaints
The pool was nice, beds comfortable, good breakfast, good location, nice hotel Ceiling in room on 5th floor had water damage, pool was dirty along with pool area.
Wake up call an hour early. The system had not been changed to the time change. Annoying
The staff was friendly but appeared overworked. The place was clean. Our room wasn't ready upon arrival at 4:30 pm and the "5 minute delay" turned into 30 minutes. 25 minutes was due to the cleaning people but 5 minutes was due to the fact that the front desk person was called and told the room was ready but got distracted and didn't tell us. The people in the next room happened to come to the lobby, recognized us and told us the room had been ready for about five minutes. The front desk clerk apologized. Fiftenn minutes after we were in the room all power went out for about three minutes. An hour or so later the internet went out for a short time.
Quiet. Had a pool and workout room. Nice breakfast. Able to leave car while you travel, nice transport to and from the hotel to airport The jacuzzi tub in the room, jets didn't work well.
It is exactly what someone should expect from a 2 star hotel. The room was very clean. The furnishings were a bit dated. The bed was above average. The breakfast was better than the usual continental, waffles and eggs. The hotel staff could have been more helpful. I asked for the desk to call a cab. Was told he could not, but instead gave me the number. Not really a huge problem, but still a complaint none the less
That they had a free breakfast in the morning and they had a swimming pool for the kids to enjoy. I didn't know breakfast ended earliler on weekday
they should provide more electrical outlets at the desk to charge laptops, cell phones etc
your service is very good. The room is clean. I have booked a room with a big bed, but I get a room with 2 beds.
Clean, large rooms with friendly staff.
The front desk clerk
The location and proximity to PIT was great and the amenities were basic, which is what I expected. The up charge for the suite was embarrassing. They attempted to combine two regular rooms and call it a suite. The room was never finished and likely isn't up to code. The "kitchen" area looks like they recycled the interior of a meth lab. And the floor is warped...probably due to water damage. Which would also explain the mold smell. That said, it was the only non-smoking room available so the staff couldn't offer any other solutions besides a can of air freshener. And by non-smoking I mean it hasn't been smoked in that week. I can't blame the staff for the shortcomings of the facility. But to be charged the full rate for this type of a room was nothing short of embarrassing for both sides.
staff friendly gym not open, limited hot items on bfeast
The place was clean and the room was cozy. The front desk attendant was rude and aloof towards my questions for help. I truly believe that first impressions sets the whole mood of what's to come. In addition to this, the eggs at breakfast was some frozen package to warm up in a microwave; how discus is that.
Close proximity to airport. Close eateries and shopping.
Worth for money Iron board was not clean. Hotel staff was not that friendly.
- plenty of parking - breakfast was crowded and mediocre - pool wasn't heated - swapped us to a smoking room with only one bed (everything else was full)
Easy to find back a long creepy driveway. Close to the city. My wife and I were headed for a quick trip to the city and I should have known better. This facility only draws a crowd looking for a really cheap hotel. Spend the $20 more and head elsewhere. Rooms desperately needed an upgrade. Out shower head wouldn't stop dripping but we felt it futile to even call the front desk. Extremely understaffed.
The location is convenient. My kids loved the indoor pool, but it was kind of cold. Most of the staff is super friendly As soon as we arrived the front desk clerk got annoyed with me because she was talking so fast I couldn't understand her. The room wasn't very clean, especially the bathroom and the sheets. Kind of expensive for the quality of the room
The staff seemed nice. And I do need to point out that I didn't complain while I was there about any conditions, I'm a very introverted person and it is hard for me to have conflict with strangers. My door stuck, I had to bang it with my hip to open and close it. The whole place felt kinda run down and outdated. I just wasn't comfortable at all during my stay. Again I don't want to get into too many details because I didn't say anything while I was there, I don't know how the staff would have responded to my complaints had they been aware. So it would not be fair to virtually bash the place.
The room was comfortable The indoor pool was freezing. Water wasn't hot or even warm at all
The room was large and comfortable. Nice seating area. Helpful staff with a great airport shuttle. Nothing
The first time we visited Pittsburgh we chose Homewood because it was easy to reach & close to our son's home in Moon Twp. Now, we plan to stay there every visit. Easy to get to. Lovely facility. Lots of amenities tho we haven't had time to take advantage of much. Staff is friendly & accommodating. Even our son was impressed. Other family members have stayed at hotels around the city, but he says Homewood is the nicest for the price.
Suites are awesome!
Clean room, spacious, comfortable
Great location. Near everything but set back away from traffic and noise. Staff was helpful. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet.
My fiancé and I have stayed here before and we loved it. The hotel is clean and spacious and has a lot of amenities. It is private, yet restaurants, shopping and the airport are minutes away. We love the free breakfast and weekday evening reception.
Great location! Overall Facilities Cleanliness, Pleasant Staff, Good Breakfast
Renovations are underway this will help with the cleanliness. The rooms are clean just old making them seem dirty. Breakfast was poorly stocked. when things ran out for the sunday I was there nothing got refilled until a customer went and did it right in front of the employee. They didn't put out enough food for all the customers that showed up.
clean sheets, pillow cases, towels, bathroom . close to airport with free shuttle lots of places in room that were dusty, hit with chemical smell as soon as entered room, general feeling of less than full effort in keeping the whole place clean
It was a good enough place to stay the night. The owner was very helpful. The guy checking me in did not know what he was doing at all. Would not get help when I asked. Told me I had to pay for anther room after I already paid for the one I had. Then after 30 mins he finally got the owner. He came in and found my reservation no problem and very nice thank you very much to the owner but needs to get better help.
For the price and it being Pittsburgh, I was expect to pull up and go into a worn down motel. The room to be old and outdated. But instead I walked into a beautiful front desk! And the room was even better! So many new updates. Clean. Quiet. Private. I loved it! Definitely know where I'll be staying whenever I need to go to the Pittsburgh area again! And a restaurant called Armstrong's close by has AMAZING food
