comfort,a clean room, all facilities, an ideal location nothing
Staff was helpful, breakfast was fantastic, room was clean.
Excellent friendly welcome. Room quality was high and better than expected. (I stayed in a junior suite.) Long distance from reception to the room via a second floor bridge
Breakfast was just great! Minor things.
The Marburger Hof was in an ideal location for our stay in Marburg. The room was spacious and comfortable with a luxurious and well equipped bathroom. It would have been nice to have a supply of fresh milk for our tea tray, and also to have access to some english language television channels.
Clean well appointed room which appeared to have been recently renovated.Staff polite and efficient. Breakfast excellent but not in hotel for other meals. Hotel information on booking incorrect, resturant is closed on Sunday night not Monday
Good location between station and old town which is a very pleasant stroll away and just across the road from the Elizabeth Church. Lovely lobby with free tea/coffee and room was nice and spacious. Parking which is just beside the hotel in an underground car park was like nothing we'd seen before - very tight spaces divided by metal which wasnt padded in any way. We found it very difficult to park and we had a relatively small hire car. But on the other hand the car park is right on-site
All areas in the hotel were at a good warm temperature (in January). Garage parking. About 500m from the old town centre. Nice breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Looked after my son, who is studying in Marburg University, and has been unwell. We managed to explore the town and surrounding area. As I have mentioned above, the lack of 2 beds in a twin bedded room was most inconvenient, when travelling with a companion and not a spouse, sharing a room is acceptable, in order to keep costs down, sharing a bed however, is not! I would be reluctant to book this hotel again for this reason
The staff were lovely and its location is fantastic. It's seen better days.
staff was most friendly and helpful.
Clean, comfortable, good locatioon. On arrival we were told that one of the guests had no room even though we told them we would arrive late. Sorted to our satisfaction by the manager but not a pleasant way to be greeted
Excellent location - across the street from the lift into the Altstadt. Very comfortable room, secure parking, helpful staff. Generous breakfast.
Helpful staff No
Hotel is well positioned at the foot of the old town, with good facilities and very good service. Rooms are spacious and clean. No complaints!
visited St Elizabeth's of course.. also walking tour of Lahn and the castle exercise facility didnt have weights and it was located in the basement. The location is the best thing about the hotel.. if not for the great location I probably would not stay there again - and I would not recommend it.
Breakfast is impressive, the rooms are large, wireless internet is free and very fast.
The Shower cabin is to small - tall and big people will have problems when taking a shower.
Excellent location, above average room, wonderful breakfast, very good value for money.
Location, very good breakfast and excellent facilities Rooms on the street side are rather noisy
Good location, rooms good size and excellent facilities.
Everything was perfect! We did also very much enjoy our diner at the Bel Etage restaurant. We have absolutely no complaints.
Pleasent, quiet, comfortable.Walking distance from old town and points of interest.
In general the hotel is a very good property with an excellent staff. The lobby and other public areas are very nicely done. The spa is very good too, although the swiming pool was smaller than expected. The breakfast was good with a nice variety of selections. However, the eggs special ordered were not so good and the preparation of omelettes especially needs improvement.
Nice 5 star hotel, classic with modern touches. Restaurants varying from gourmet to 'stube'. Very helpfull staff. the location is central, nearby the station and highway but not in a beautiful surrounding, you should only go there if you have to be in the area. The Spa department for fully booked for the 3 days we were staying.
Walking through the castle ruins was amazing! There needs to be a fan in the rooms, I didn't get much sleep due to it being so hot and stuffy in there.
Children can roam in a fantasy world in the play area and the ruins of the old fort. Safe and free parking. Easy access from the highway. An oasis for travellers with children.
Nice beautifully-decorated rooms, good breakfast, very clean bathrooms. Our dinner at the restaurant was very good. The strong smell of cigarette smoke in the rooms. We couldn't get rid of it just by opening the windows because it was so strong and in the carpet and bedding. Interesting...Even the non-smoking rooms come with ashtrays and matches.
A genuine castle with updated facilities Room was quite small. Restaurant food was not very good-overcooked and too salty
The room was good size . The staff were not helpful, had a smoke and watched as we struggle with our bags in the pouring rain from car all the way up to hotel and up steep stairs . Absolutely Rude .
The old walls, the atmosphere, a very nice romantic place, I am sorry that we didn`t have time for a longer stay!! I had problems with the gate, I didn`t understand how to get inside.
beautiful setting and fun to be in a castle staff was ok but the girl was a snot
A wonderful hotel in an old "burg". A very good restaurant. Nice location and a wonderful view from our room.
This is family run and the owners are very helpful to their guests. The rooms and the restaurant are newly decorated and very comfortable. The hotel is centrally located for good shopping and within easy walking distance of all the historic buildings of Kirchhain.
Nice traditional decoration, good breakfast, friendly staff, clean rooms and a comfortable stay. Staff forgot to put pillow cases on the pillows, but quickly fixed the oversight.
Very comfortable place to stay if you're visiting Marburg, quit place and spacious rooms - good value for money.
Service and resturant was very good, however beds we not comfortable The Beds
Nice cocktails. Warmed welcome. Good internet connection Just a few english communication
Very comfortable hotel in quiet surroundings Somewhat impersonal compared to other hotels. Our booking was incorrect at the hotel and we were kept waiting for sometime before it was sorted out.
Excellent accommodations and atmosphere. Good value for the money.
very quite and calm, good breakfast. Value for money I missed a bathtuub, also the TV was a bit old fashion and there was only one English channel
service, big rooms, clean, great breakfast (served on the table), on the spot 2 baby cots organised restaurant closed (low season, only a few customers in the hotel)
Nice big rooms. the restaurant was good. Lots of green space outside. It would be nice if the hotel could lend out for example tennis rackets. We were not able to play tennis because we did nor have tennis rackets and the hotel did not have anny despite there were 3 tennis courts there.
Really nice and clean , good swimming pool , great choice of breakfast
The hotel was excellent and the surrounding countryside and towns and villages were just lovely. A great short stay. We had a meal on our first evening (Friday) after arrival. Whilst not busy in the restaurant, they did have a party in and the service was incredibly slow. However, the food was wonderful and the staff very gracious about our long wait, so it was very easy to forgive.
Very good price for the quality of the hotel.
Peaceful and green surrounding. Really nice place!":) ---
The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast excellent. The hotel is In a lovely setting in a quiet location.
Nice size rooms and very quiet
The cleaniness of the room and quiet of the location NA
Very close to most attractions. The breakfast was very good.
Helpful staff, good breakfast, Internet access When I arrived there appeared to be no room available for me, though an upgraded one was ultimately offered. One light bulb was inoperative (it was replaced, however) and another I had to screw in myself. The rolling shutter on the left could not be lowered.
Nice and helpful staff. Good location.
The breakfast was good The room aong the street is noisy at night.
Friendly staff, good service and rooms, good breakfast and quite low prices. Central location and free Internet connection.
Its location near the Hauptbahnhof and its relative proximity to the city centre. There should be clearer signposting to help one locate the hotel from the street.
The wireless internet available for free the room was smelly terrible of smoke, no reception at desk, it was a "self-service" hotel. In the bathroom no soap, I asked for that they said they will put but the didn't. no good value for money for what they offer.
breakfast, nice clean rooms and friendly service the room was too noisy (traffic)
I liked thee much the central location downtown Marburg, everything is in walking distance, close to the train station Only one water glass in the double romm.
Small unit, nicely decorated, tasty breakfast Entrance is squeezed between two shops!
the breakfast had an excellent selection
Pleasant as always
a first class breakfast
the rooms the staff are very polite very clean
Breakfast excellent plus staff, rooms nice cleaning staff also excellent One member of staff on reception arrogant we asked for coffee extra pillows, asked for a beer said bar was closing all was too much trouble this one person spoilt our stay we will not return, we will find alternative hotel.
No restaurant or receptionist on German Public holidays or Sundays
It was clean, quiet and green I wish there was tea/coffee making facilities as well as the minibar.
Excellent place to stay, with lots of nice added touches; great food, excellent room, good value for money.
Great selection on breakfast buffet. Good location close to Marburg. Free minibar. Friendliness of staff varied from very good to poor. Smoking permitted in the restaurant.
We had a nice, large comfortable room with minibar. There was an extensive breakfast buffet included and evening meals were tasty. The staff were extremely helpful in giving us directions and suggestions for sightseeing. We liked being in a small village rather than in the city.
the room is clear and comfortable.
The room and bed were really very comfortable.
The gourmet chef was also the owner, met us and showed us to our rooms. Good English so we could learn about the area and his wonderful dinner.
the food in the restaurant was excellent. friendly staff. location is a little far away from motorway
Hotel staff warm welcoming, and food in restaurant: dinner and breakfest There were no curtans for the window (our room was on the 1st floor).
Space and cleanliness. Excellent value for money. Lack of blockout curtains.
Easy walking from town/station. Near countryside. Friendly, helpful staff. (Was very accomodating when I said we preferred a twin room rather than two singles - moveds to a larger, nicer room - I think it was a family room). Vfm for the area. Not really hotel, more the place... (Not a good day for weather so didn't enjoy the countryside). Town seemed a bit boring, not much there.
Excelent stop if you are in the area. Very friendly staff. Rooms were clean and very confortable.
The owner was at least friendly, he did not charge anything extra for the child. If it was not for him, we would have left the same evening. Staff at the bar was not very helpful at all, nobody seemed to know that we had a reservation.... they also did not seem to care that we had requested a non smoking room. In the morning there was no heat at all ...temperature outside was 9'C. After phoning them, they wanted to take care of it...after one hour still nothing happened. Our child could not sleep on Mattress, wires were sticking out.
