Clean, modern, parking on site, quiet, close to train station, great restaurant on site, huge double bed, tea coffee facilities in the room None
The comfort and cleanliness of the room No
It's modern and well facilitated Revealing My stay on twitter
Clear and fresh renovated rooms, friendly and helpful staff, easy to reach from subway station I had to wait till 15:00 for check-in, even I asked about my early check-in previously. Extra charges for breakfast. Too expensive rates. Little bit far from the center, need to catch a taxi or get a subway train. Sewer in the shower cabin does not work properly and the water after taking shower poured out from the cabin.
Even though we arrived early, we were able to check in. The hotel is near a tram line, only a 10 minute walk. Room was very quiet.
Good connection to downtown with metro and to vandel park with tram. It has fridge, electric kettle and iron. No air conditioner which may make it warm in summers Cleaning could be better. House keepers were not very careful with cleaning. We saw hairs on the pillows and bed.
The room was a bit cold for November and there was only one blanket in the room.
Very nice hotel for very good price. Huge, comfortable bed. Parking available for 16 EUR/24h. Close to RAI Convention Center. Slow elevators. Weak flow of water in bathroom - bathroom was also quite dark.
very friendly and worth the money
OK value for money. Good location. Expect Chinese staff. You'll find the room and shared bath incredibly small. Trust me, you'll never find any smaller bath anywhere else, as you basically can't move once you're in there.
very small rooms for 2 persons, unconvenious bathroom and old furniture, thin doors-we can hear all sounds. When I arrived to hotel, on reception I pay second time money what blocked on my card by cash. And man sad- "It's no problem, I unblock deposit right now!" , now is 5 walking days come, and my money don't return on my card... It's not suitable for me
Nice and helpful staff. Clean room. Good location. Room too small. Breakfast is poor.
The food was good, fresh bread, meats and cheese, 2 choices of cereal, fresh and canned fruit, spreads and teas, everything kept topped up. The staff were friendly, it was relatively quiet. It's close to the Tram 4 to take you to site seeing. It's the cheapest hotel online. The room could've been dusted better: surfaces, drawer. The bathroom didn't smell fresh and the bottom of the shower was lined with warped linoleum.
easy to get transpot, clean Not cheap at all, but compare to othet choices in ams, that is the price
Room often comes with free bike rental during your stay. Physical keys for doors, very loud while using them, could hear others in the hallways opening locks etc. Nothing major just a bit of a pain.
Central location A bit grotty
The staff was EXCELLENT! They were always available and willing to help in any way. They were also very knowledgeable about the city and sights. I came back to my room multiple times thinking " I can't believe how polite and nice the staff is here" Breakfast was decent. Meat, toast, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, orange juice…. While having a drink at a local pub, a local Amsterdamer commented that he has lived across the street from the Hotel Flipper for many years. He said he likes the neighborhood very much and has always thought highly of the hotel. I thought the location was perfect for us. It is very close to the #4 tram line (about 5-7 min ride to Dam Square). We liked how it was outside the downtown traffic, noise, and crowds but was still very close to everything. The hotel is just off a main street that has ample restaurants, corner market stores, flower shops, coffee shops (quieter then the ones downtown), pubs, and other things. From Central Station, the cab ride (2 people, 4 bags) was over 21 euro. From our hotel to the Schiphol airport (same people and bags) was 25 euro. Use Schiphol express cab service, they charge per Km not minute. Overall, I would recommend Hotel Flipper to anyone visiting Amsterdam.
