This is a great hotel close to Disneyland. When booking Travelocity didn't know what to expect but this hotel met all our requirements. Loved the suite we were in as it allowed us the flexibility to be in two different rooms. The staff were awesome. Would love to stay here again! Marriott should build more properties like this in the future. Great for families!
This is a clean, well-run, family location near Disneyland. Each unit has a full kitchen, so if you prefer not to eat every meal out it's a very good value. I caution you to be careful in the shower. There is an upper ceramic soap holder placed in such a way that if you are bending down to adjust the water you might hit it with your head. A couple of people in my party did that, one somewhat seriously (a gash that bled most of the day). But with that in mind, I do recommend the property. The staff helped us with every need and the breakfast was more than adequate.
I have stayed at this property 3 times within 6 years and it is starting to show its wear. More dirt in the corners and floor trim pulling away from the walls. The breakfast is always a HUGE plus! If you need a really good place to stay with family and still within walking distance to Disneyland, this is the place to stay. Easily walk to Bubba Gump, PF Changs, Cheesecake Factory, Denny's and more. Convenient shopping center next door with awesome theater for a movie to help occupy all your vacation time.
Best place so far in our visists to the Disney area, Close to most everything, very nice place not a hotel but a resort feeling with well kept grounds just to walk around in . Great veiws of the Disneyland fireworks.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was welcoming and very attentive to our needs. The rooms were very clean and neat. I didn't have a chance to wash a few dishes, so I left them in the sink thinking I would do them when we returned to hotel and to my surprise the dishes were washed and drying when we returned to our room. The maid service was really great. I love the convenience of a laundry room on the property it came in very handy. We were visiting our son, but we did go to Disneyland a couple of days and were pleased that it was in walking distance from our hotel. We also love the breakfast given daily, great variety. We really enjoyed our experience at this hotel and would definitely come back to it in the future.
Staff friendly and helpful and the property was clean and up to date.
Location and bus route to Disneyland were good. Breakfast was busy even in the 'off season'. Pool and hot tubs were average. We booked the penthouse suite for 2 adults and 3 kids. The room was large enough but the interior is showing serious signs of wear, clean but 'tired'. Easy walk to dinner in the Garden Walk Center. 15 minute walk to the park entrances. Long walk back @ end of the day, I would recommend the ART pass for those with smaller children. Location was quiet, everyone slept well. The bathhrooms and closets were small.
This hotel was a nice surprise. Every trip to Disney starts with a hotel search and up until now The Embassy Suites was the winner. We are a family of four, including two teenages. A few things the Residence Inn tops over Embassy are...the accomodations, the location, and the price. We had a King loft with a separate bedroom downstairs (with 2 queen beds), a sofa sitting area, a kitchen and two bathrooms. We all like to have our space and this hotel was great. We drove to Disney the first day and it took us over a half hour to get into the park. We walked the next day and it was only 15 minutes! At the Embassy, we would have needed two suites to have this amount of space and we would have to wait for the shuttle to get to the park. Here, we all were able to enjoy our time together and saved alot of time and $$ on hotel and transportation. We did not have cooked to order breakfast, but I was impressed with the array of daily breakfast options. The rooms are aged, but the value was excellent!
We had a fab. time at the Residence marriott. We are a family of 7 and got the Penthouse family suite it was very roomy for us. We have stayed at many hotels in the passed and never had that much room. We had a travel crib and a stroller in the room every night and still had plenty of room. The rooms and the hotel was very clean. I loved the convenience of having the kitchen in the room and washer and drier at the hotel. The kids loved the basketball and volleyball court. The grounds around the hotel were well maintained and had beautifull flowers. We stayed 4 nights and it was very close to disney and the garden walk shopping center. The one nagative thing was the breakfast buffet was taken down by 9:30. But the hotel staff did graciously give the kids cereal bowls, cereal and milk.
This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. The room we had was fantastic- two story, two bedroom with fully equiped kitchen and a small living room. The room was in very good condition and clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent with so much variety to chose from. The hotel staff was friendly and so helpful. If Disneyland is your destination, this hotel is within a short walking distance and very safe to walk at night. I will certainly return to this hotel my next trip to Anaheim.
I cannot speak more highly of the service and comfort we received at the Residence Inn. We stayed in the two story loft (4 adults and 2 kids), and it was the perfect size. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly. The full breakfast was perfect, and the grocery service was awesome! We faxed in our grocery list the night before we arrived, and the food was in our room when we got there. The pool was heated and perfect at night. Beds were comfortable. I especially enjoyed this hotel because of the layout. I hate the hotels where you end up waiting 10 minutes for an elevator. This hotel was full, but it never seemed crowded. I will look no more. We will return to this hotel everytime we go back to Disneyland. Loved it!! Highly recommend it!!
During our stay, a 2x4 foot mirror fell off of the wall, and hit our children. Luckily, they were not seriously hurt, but did suffer cuts and were pretty shook up. The manager did very little to compensate (some band-aids) and when we raised the issue with Marriott, they also did very little to accomodate our ordeal. No concern for our customer experience
