Clean with a nice bed. Another place where the office smells like a restaurant and just reeks of spices. As usual with places like this, the packets of soap or whatever are too small to even consider using. Not even a luggage rack for your suitcase so you have to put everything on the floor. Just a clean bare room. No ice machine either. It is up to foreign standards but not American standards. Good tv and average wifi quality.
Nice clean room seemed newly remodeled with wood flooring and comfortable beds. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Parking can get a bit tight later in the day.
The bathtub was very nice and so was the overall remodel. I remember 3 years ago we were going to stay here but it wasn't nearly as nice as this. I love how close it is to LGB airport and Knotts Berry Farm. We loved how close we were to everything! Toilet paper! Shampoo! We used a whole roll in half a day. It's transparent and doesn't matter how much you use, it's never enough! The shampoo they give was not shampoo, I'm pretty sure of it, there was no suds and two packs they give wasn't enough for even half my head. Also, people upstairs were really loud and had their tv loud, we tried calling the front desk for about 10 mins but no one ever picked up.
Owner is so nice, great place. Would recommend to anyone wanting to go to Disneyland
Room quality, bed quality, friendly staff. Car was broken into while parked right in front of office, staff was casual about it and saw nothing. Security camera didn't record
The best price and family friendly
Price and the coffee was pretty good. Over the course of four days and three nights my wife and I had to suffer through four cold showers. Room 213. Room had a bad smell. The maintenance was done by an amateur. Room clock made so much noise we had to unplug it. Parking was scarce and tight. Only three hangers. Although the price was low for the O.C. I have stayed at better places for half the price in the San Diego area. We would not consider a return trip the the Rainbow Inn.
Nothing. Room was dirty and smell terrible, ac was broken, bathrooms were disgusting, the listed that they "have a continental breakfast"...... which is your choice of 2 types of gross old muffins and coffee (thats it)
Check in clerk was friendly. Proximity to Disneyland. At the time of booking, was cheapest hotel available ($78) Stains on floors and walls, uncomfortable, flat pillows, bugs crawling in light fixtures, shower handle broken and falling off - water temp either freezing or scalding.
The young man at the desk supporting his wife in college was a very pleasant young man. He was helpful with finding us places to eat close to the hotel. He was friendly and personable. He made our stay that much better. My husband met the owner with our young son swimming in the pool. He was also very nice and it was comforting to have someone for our son to play with while we were staying. We will deffinently visit the Rainbow Inn again when we come to California I didn't like that the maids turned our a/c off every time they cleaned our room so when we got back the room was warm and stuffy.
Guaranteed non smoking room to them means a heavily smoked in room with a no smoking sign on the door.
I loved staying here! I don't know how this place could have bad reviews. It's minutes away from Disneyland and everyone is SO kind. The room was comfy and very clean. I would totally recommend this hotel! Everything rocked; nothing I didn't like.
Absolutely nothing. The young lady who "assisted" us was not very professional. There were so many code violations I couldn't fit them all in one review. Non smoking room with infant had 100% been smoked in. Speaking of smoke, detectors in both rooms I had were covered with the plastic cover from the ice bucket. Doors did close properly. Mold, mildew and flies all over the restrooms. Missing outlet covers and broken outlets in both bathrooms. I could go on and on... it was disgusting. I left as soon as I could and got a refund.
The desk people were really nice. But the rooms are disgusting. Very outdated and dirty. There were stains on the carpet the blankets were ripped there were cigarette burns on the fridge. The floors were stained with I don't know what. There was a really old scary dude that seemed to be living upstairs who would just watch everyone out the window. Yes you get what you pay for however I wish these hotels would at least abide by cleanliness. Honestly these places should be condemned. But then again you are in Buena Park and it's full of tweakers and weirdos and they seem to flock to these kinds of mom an pop hotels.
Nothing Everything . I took pictures to show everyone but can't show them on here. I'm not a picky person but please this is crap. The owners are from India and do everything there including going in your room every time you leave and shut off you air conditioning. Hell it barely works as it is. This place had drug deals going on all night. 50% of the people there live there. You will regret your stay here. For like $10 more a night go to the Howard Johnson. I had to cover holes in the walls that went all the way through to the room next door.
Had rooms available last minute that's the only reason i booked -Dirty -Poor AC/Heat -Run Down/Beat Up
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Close to Knotts Berry Farm!
The room size was adequate and had basic amenities like cable television, refrigerator and microwave which I appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. The shower had good water pressure and got hot fast. The room was quiet and had plenty of lighting and plug outlets. The wifi worked well with no issues. All in all I think the Sahara is a sufficiently decent Motel for the money. I think they could do a better job of tidying up the grounds and periphery of the property. It would bode well for it's over all appeal and image of cleanliness most Motels would like to present.
Great TV, Clean room. Definitely going to book there again.
Staffs were really helpful and are available 24/7 Towels & Toiletries we bad.
The room was clean and the staff was very nice. The price was really good. The room smelled when we first arrived, had to get some Fabreeze and spray the room. The refrigerator did not work properly.
Very little. But if I have to name one thing that was coming back 2 the room all fixed up Almost everything and we stayed there way to long 1 week was to much next time I plan a trip I need to find a home or use my timeshare
The only thing that fidnt work was the phone signal and the wifi in our room
Same price as stripped down motels, but it has more of a hotel feel. Rooms have extras - fridge, coffee maker, iron, hair dryer, etc. Comfortable beds. Decent breakfast. Workout room, computer room, and a nice pool. Efficient staff. It's a comfortable place to stay.
The breakfast was delicious. That was the best part of my stay. The carpet was torn and, dirty. Lots of stains. Ironing board was stained with black spots. Iron was burned. Couldn't use it.
The Disney theme picture frames and distance to Knotts Berry Farm. Also, the jacuzzi. Did not get notified when the shuttle to disneyland was leaving, so did not get the chance to experience that.
I liked that they offered a continental breakfast, and the maid service was prompt. It seemed like everything was broken, the pool and hot tub weren't available my whole stay, and that was the reason I booked. When I tried to sit by the pool and suntan, the manager rudely kicked me out saying the pool was closed. The waffle maker in the breakfast room was broken. It would have been a decent stay if it weren't for the rude management and how everything was broken. They could've at least given me a discount or upgraded my room considering there was no pool or hot tub.
I liked the cost, cleanliness and location close to theme parks. The maids kept our room clean while we were away so that was nice to come back to as well Wifi was horrible
Overall nice motel for the money. Only one elevator.
I liked that the room i stayed at was at the end and by end i meant outside i went up the outside stairs and there was my room. Staff was nice. And room was clean. No one told us the entrance to the room was outside at the end of the hall. We went from one end to the parking lot to the other,so we could get the elevator to the third floor. Then go around the whole 3rd floor to find out our room was in front of where we had parked and we could have just gone up 4 flights of stairs at the most to arrive at our room.
