Pros: Very confortable datcha and delicious russian breakfast. The owner was adorable with us during our stay.

Pros: Very nice stay in this place. The cottages are really nice and the restaurant provides great Russian food. The staff is really friendly and available. And a special thank to Evgeny who could really help us in so many aspects, as our Russian is so limited. We really recommend this place !!
Pros: Very friendly staff. Got our everything sorted out with our bad Russian and Google Translator. They fixed us something to eat eaven we arrived late. Rowhouse cottage was clean and modern, well equipped.
Cons: The breakfast could have been more than just porridge and croissants.
Offering free WiFi and free parking, Metallurg Hotel is located in Volkhov, 400 metres from the river. The rooms feature air conditioning, a fridge and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. The bathrooms provide a hairdryer. Guests can dine in the hotel’s restaurant, and there is also a bar on site. Room service and breakfasts in the room are provided at surcharge. Volkhovstroy Train Station is 7 km from Metallurg Hotel.
Pros: Recently refurbished hotel (2016), pleasant style in the lobby and the room itself (Room 22), overlooking the backyard. Comfortable modern beds (though to some people the mattresses might be a bit too soft:))) . Absolutely soundproof (though the receptionist said the hotel was fully booked). Spacious desk, nice TV. Spacious clean shower area, though only with a curtain (never fear: the curtain is quite 'effective' and the floor remains dry). Multi-mode showerhead. At last ;)) the towel racket is not fixed right over the toilet bowl, as seems to be the standard for budget hotels almost everywhere in Europe ;((( / True, an electric towel-drier would be very welcome... And yes: 7 (seven!) towels in a twinned room! Continental breakfast in the canteen/ cafe, with some options, costing 200 roubles (appr. 2.5 euro - August 2018 ), and a nice lunch (in Russian it is called 'business lunch'), also 200 roubles, but it is a 'set-meal',- it would be more expensive a la cart... A/c unit. Two bottles with water gratis every day ... A small fridge built into the desk. A piano in the lobby!
Cons: When asked about a late check-out, we were offered to pay for the two hours that we wanted. I had to explain to the receptionist (generally, a very sweet girl, always helpful and smiling, who helped us solve some minor problems) that as a 'Booking Genius' I had certain bonuses, - which Booking.com had never forgotten to remind me of:))) Alas, she seemed to be genially surprised to hear it. I suggested that she phone her manager, which - she said - she did, but couldn't reach anybody... Now, this was not for the first time that I had found myself in this situation, - even though the room was not booked by anybody after 2pm. Dear managers in the Booking.com and the hotel: please inform the hotel staff properly! No tea/ coffee facilities in the room, - but there are coolers on every floor. All in all: a very good hotel! Sincerely recommended!
Pros: Neat and clean rooms Location
Cons: Hotel staff wasn't nice and friendly when we showed up in a middle of the night. Furthemore we were told that room we had booked wasn't available and we need to pay extra to get more comfortable one. Have no idea whose fault was it - booking.com or hotel itself but this case left very unpleasent feeling of being screwed up. No way to stay in there next time.
Pros: This hotel is oke. Big and quiet room. Central place with many buses. Breakfast nog big but enough for so cheap.
Cons: I missed a table for computer, writing. A lamp did not work but was not repeared.
Pros: Very nicely refitted hotel right on a central square but quiet. Well-equipped, with complimentary slippers and shaving/dental kits being a nice touch. The breakfast was freshly cooked (although my companion says it wasn't anything special).
Cons: The wi-fi connection wasn't particularly stable. The double bed was two smaller ones put together but that's a common enough occurrence in hotels, and a very minor complaint.

Pros: This place is absolutely amazing for rural experience and middle-of-nowhere adventure! Pros: Decent hotel located in the middle of nowhere. The construction of the bridge has nearly finished, so it's no longer noisy, although by all means not quiet, as the road is just 50 m away. Well equipped and nicely decorated rooms with good heating. Fairly priced cafe serving good food, also for breakfast.
Cons: Wi-Fi is available in the main building only, but even in the main building it did not work (luckily, the mobile signal was good enough). The lock in my room did not open. I had to leave through the window(!) and open the door from the outside. Water is really an issue. It's probably not hazardous, but its color and smell are repelling.

At Staraya Ladoga Hotel you will find a shared kitchen. There is a football field nearby. Various cafes are short walk away. Staraya Ladoga Bus Stop is a 10-minute walk away.
Pros: We have booked two rooms for us and our parents- standard and juniour suite. We liked suite room as it is actually one room flat with kitchen.we are very grateful to the administrators who shared and brought a medicine for our kid which have catched a flue during our stay.
Cons: It would be nice to have a standart hotel shampoo set in the bathroom. Also after our check-in the shared bathroom were not clean enough and the bin at the toilet was full, though we were alone.
