The Spanish restaurant up the road Entry to rooms was grubby - felt like government housing estate entrance. Details absent such as biscuits with tea, pen to write something down, motel stationery, mini-bar, - seemed like cost cutting measures not commensurate with a four star motel. 'Fully equipped gym' is not fully equipped - only one weight station.
Convenience - plus they set up the room for us with no fuss - thanks Daniel! the clean up after 3 days was less than thorough (sand on the floor, no toilet paper, kitchen scrubber was removed and not replaced)when we booked and wanted an upgrade we were told 'no' because it was booked through a 3rd party - seemed strange
the resort was suitable for a weekend away, we enjoyed the facilties and the location.
all was super. big rooms and kitchen. lovely view and site near beach
Proximity to beach and town of Lorne. Spacious grounds Check in was at 2 and we were told the room would not be ready for at least another hour. The room was not what we expected. It was dark and still dirty. There was an overflowing ashtray on the table outside. We had asked for a seaview room. On a number of occasions our mode of booking was mentioned. The excuse given was this was all we could expect given the price we paid through another agent. In the end we upgraded to another apartment and were requested to pay more. The sea view room had an enclosed balcony so the view was only possible when we stood up. In short we did not expect different treatment because of our mode of booking.
The pool was lovely and warm, the rooms were nice and new and the location was excellent. Yes the car parking charge for using the underground car park
This hotel suits family'S. Children running around enjoying pool. Lovely for family but not so much if you are single or a couple wanting peace and quiet. Staff are lovely, very nice and friendly. Food is nice too. The spa treatments are a nightmare. so noisy! You are right next to a loud pool with kids screaming and laughing and on other side of you is the gym, weights banging on floor, joggers. It's such a tense environment and the prices being so expensive, I would not recommend it. Go into town there are other spa places there which would be as you expect quiet. The lady tried to turn up the relaxing music but nothinig could block out noise. I have never experienced anything like it. Sorry Crown, the Designer didn't do a very good job with the spa area. For other people like myself who just want to relax, please don't book for a massage.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was comfortable and we had everything we expected in our room. We didn't like the lack of parking. We were also disappointed that you had advertised a cafe but it was not operating.
It was my 2 nd time back will defiantely be back for a 3rd visit
Room style Internet is for additional payment (even in Sydney in 4 star hotel - 3 hours are prepaid). Breakfast lasts only until 10.00 and when we asked what were the options - we were told that any option - see our menu. No concierge on the way to hotel and even at the desk - nobody offered such services. View to the river is not so fascinating. A casino at the entrance disattracts those who wish calm rest.
