Pros: Nothing is good - have maybe once been a charming pub with rooms upstairs.
Cons: Receive your guests friendly with respect. Our booking though booking.com - the hotel only had 1 room booked even I had a mail with a confirmation for 2 rooms. Water was dripping from the ceiling when it rained. Due maintenance of the rooms and restaurant, make fresh food etc etc…..
Pros: Relaxing and very central for shopping.
Pros: If you happen to be traveling to salisbury and want to tour the cathedral, you can't get a better location as it is right across from the entrance to the grounds. The staff were very friendly and competent, the rooms were well maintained and the bathrooms were spacious and very clean. But this inn is very old, the rooms are very tight, and it just isn't that comfortable. We did not feel there was adequate value for our rate of GBP100/night (jul09).
Pros: the quantness of the place, floors and walls sloping in all direction, which is not suprising for a building over 400 years old.
Cons: Very poor value for money, no services, reception closed @ 1800pm, no hotel lounge as such, only a bar/resteraunt.
Pros: Clean and tidy with the only non-euclidean staircase in existence.
Pros: Friendly staff and a great ability to fulfil all our needs! I booked the hotel initially for my wedding night! We ended up having our wedding reception there as well and was a fabulous day, food and service was great and couldnt ask for any better - Big thank you to the hotel!
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant for both brekfast and dinner was excellent if a little expensive for the dinner.
Cons: No phones in the rooms. No room service. No shower caps in bathroom. It was a lovely hotel for a break but not for business use. I was hoping to recommend this hotel for business use but without the first 2 facilites above I am unable to do so.
Pros: Location. Staff made a real effort to be helpful.
Cons: No telephone in room. No explanation of use of 4 keys or how to lock room. Locked in the hotel when all staff went off for part of Sunday. The low service level does not reflect the high price. The operation seemed rahter amateur in terms of customer service.
Pros: Altogether a very charming and unusual hotel. Very friendly staff and high attention to details.
Cons: The long walk from the Car Park - over 10mins walk with luggage. The cooked breakfast, although lovely, was a little small. And kept awake by talking on the first night until 2.30am and by another guest at 3am the next evening walking through and banging doors! Arghhhh!! But this did not put us off our stay, but think the price could be a little lower.
Cons: The hotel was dirty, no air conditioning and expensive. The kettle was missing from the room and the curtains were held back with a safety pin which cut my finger!

Good location, very good food. There was a rock band on the weekend that was loud, but it wasn't too bad from our room. They didn't start until nine and ended at midnight. I enjoyed the other entertainers during the week. The price was very reasonable, given the location, and I would highly reccomend staying at least a few nights. There's lots to see in Salisbury. You can also take the train to Bath from there.
Pros: The people running it were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a suite, which was lovely, and the bathroom was roomy and pleasant.
Cons: The bed wasn't too comfortable, but I understand that they're going to be changing the mattress. We also had trouble getting wifi on the third floor, but it was nice sitting in the dining room and working on our computer, so it wasn't a problem.
There's a very nice bar/restaurant on the ground floor.
Pros: It was a beautifully charming space and the staff waited up for me to check in late.
Cons: The bed was very large but not very comfortable. You could feel springs right at the surface.
Cons: No hot water. Uncomfortable bed - pillows were thin. Live music until late. No breakfast available. No staff in the morning.
Nice clean rooms above a music bar with friendly staff and just down the street from the train station, bus stops, and market square. Very convenient.
Pros: The Staff were friendly and the location was fantastic.
Cons: The bed could have been more comfortable but that is really just my own opinion, there wasn't anything wrong with it.
The rooms are above the Bar and restaurant, but the bar closes at 1130, town rule. The staff was Great and very Accomadating and offered tones of advice and things for us to do.
Pros: The layout and the friendliness of the staff

Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful with late (after midnight) check-in. Convenient location & parking if one has a car.
Cons: Hot water for the shower was apparently running low the next morning, and wifi was poor. Twin beds were narrow.

Pros: Location, courtyard nice except..., price not unreasonable.
Cons: Feel duped. Booked a "historical" room based on a picture of a charming room offered when booking. Got to room and it was a B minus take on modern. Asked at desk and was told all the rooms had been renovated, they were updating the website. Too late. False advertising. Internet horrible to the point of being useless, rooms very hot in summer. Kegs and chairs stacked/stored in the courtyard ruin the charm and ambiance. Shocked at the five star rating. Would hate to see an even four star property...
