Pros: The signs to get there/directions leave a bit to be desired. Check in was excellent - it set the tone for our stay. Junior suite-excellent. Staff could not do more for you - even tried out thier english!! Food (captive audience) was on the whole excellent, only one course on the second evening was a tad indifferent. I was in the catering trade and know what to look for. As a training hotel I would not fault it. Don't be put off by the 'track' leading to the hotel - it is a doddle.
Cons: For the superstitious amongst us there was rather too much green for my taste and 'comfort.'
Pros: All the staff went beyond their call of duty to make sure our stay was perfect.
Cons: The shower cubicle in the first room we were given was rediculously small, so we were moved to a room with a bath and shower.
Pros: A part of The hotel is runned by gastronomy-students, this means the restaurant and the bar/cafeteria. The reception personell is very friendly and they speak also a bit english. The view over the landscape is beautiful and its very quiet because you have to drive the last maybe 6 km on tarmac/dust road to the middle of nowhere. We liked it because we knew this before. The restaurant food is of a good quality bit expensive but its the only way to eat there. The next village is maybe 10 km away. The junior suite we had was big and good equiped.Overall we enjoyed our stay in this quiet hotel very much and the price on booking.com is a good one !!
Cons: The hotel guest has to pay for the Spa and this is very expensive, every item you have to pay separate and some are only open on weekends. The outside pool is big but not cosy to lay around. The breakfast is typical spanish just a piece of bread and some paté and marmelade/coffee/juice
Cons: Location and very expensive SPA
Pros: Loved the feeling of isolation - great for those wanting some time out. Food was superb - can't say enough good things about the dinner and breakfast (albeit limited) was tasty. Unfortunately was cold and couldn't use the outside pool but would be great in summer.
Cons: Nothing for which it was designed.

Pros: 1) Simple hotel, but great for what it is. We were not interested in HDTVs and hundreds of TV channels and found it perfect. Lots of lovely little touches, like an interior courtyard where you can bring your own breakfast and eat in the sun.
2) The most helpful staff I've come across anywhere. And fantastic at giving directions and suggestions for places to visit, which are underrated skills.
3) Lovely location, a pretty plaza in the centre of the town and a short stroll from the Alcazaba and the Roman ruins.
4) Fantastic value for money.

Pros: The price is right. There is a very good seafood restaurant at the end of the street.
Cons: Difficult to find without gps.
Pros: Since location was difficult to find in the middle of then night the owner himself came to get us from the main street. Very clean and almost new and completely peaceful.
Cons: GPS to find location is useful. A sign indicationg the diretion to the hotel next to the road would also help.
Pros: Very clean, very nice staff, good size room. Very cheap. Close to the El Torcal national park which was where we were headed so ideal for our purposes. Very quiet
Cons: It's in a very small village with a decent local restaurant and pizzaria. There is nothing to do there and you need your own car. As long as you're aware of this then it's all fine. We were given a triple room instead of a double and the beds were quite short (6foot). However as we had a spare bed, we just added this to the end to make a super long king size. The bath is an incredibly short thing with a stepped seat. more of a large shower tray than anything else (think ski resort) but fine for the price bracket and the shower was decent.
Pros: very clean, very nice service, room v tidy, high standart for the price, only 12 min drive from malaga, looks much better inside than it appears from outside.
Pros: Located in a small village "on the way" to Granada if you arrive late in Malaga, as we did. Only one * but nice and clean. Aircondition even it did not say so in the info. Good value for money! One restaurant + one pizzeria in the area. No food in the hotel.
Pros: The village was very picturesque and typically Spanish.
Cons: Very noisy neighbours - didn't sleep much, although this was not the hotels fault.
