just 5 minutes walk from the famous Peter Café Sport (Horta / Faial island)... !
Location was great, access to restaurants and activities in town of Horta. Rooms were clean, breakfast was great, staff was helpful and the view was fantastic. Hard to beat Although the location is the best of the major hotels in Horta in terms of view and proximity to restaurants and activities, you have to be able to walk that hill or climb those stairs from the main street. The room air conditioning was marginal at best and we never figured out if it was our room specifically or all of them.
The pool area. The age of the hotel. Rooms were very dated and old. Air-conditioning in the room did not work properly.
Good position, swimming pool outside and inside, gym, cleanliness
The situation and view noise
The hotel overlooks the marina. It is a hilly walk down to it but takes less than 5 minutes. Atlantic Sailors stop at Horta usually for several days. Our room was close to the meeting roomwhich was used every night often by the public or large tour groups. The noise was unwelcome and never finished before 10.30pm
front desk very helpful room was quite big, location great, facilities nice
location 2 room reservation, only got 1 room, 2nd room far away, rooms dirty, plumbing antiquated, air conditioning not working, staff not helpful, services closed too early
Excellent locqtion minutes from the main street but raised up on a hill so little noise and great views. Small infinity pool was a bonus Hotel restaurant was very brightly lit in the evening so not enticing for a relaxing meal. Fruit juice at breakfast seemed to be watered down. Pillows poor quality for this standard of hotel.
Friendly ness of all staff. Better pillows on beds
Relaxing and peaceful hotel. Nice view of Pico's island. Nice room.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful as were the waiting staff, porter and chambermaids. It makes such a difference when you get friendly warm serice. The room was simple but comfortable ( except for the fold down bed our friend stayed one night on). Breakfast was good too Just that a friend syayed one night with us and her fold down bed was very uncomfortable and she was expected to pay 48 euros for it. She paid a bit less in the end
The computers provided are outsourced and not functional for business
the location is perfect a bit expensive
This is the best hotel on the Horta. Realy four stars. nothing
The best place to visit Horta City (Faial, Azores). city center and walking distance.
nice location in town by the marina. Clean, modern , new. Staff helpful. Priced right.
Nice hotel in a excellent location. The restaurant of the hotel is to much expensive for the quality of the food. That inferior quality is not understandable (or the price is abusive) in a 4star hotel. Preferable to eat in some restaurants near the hotel.
la posizione un po' caro l'utilizzo dell'internet point
The hotel has undertaken a recent renovation, so most of it is brand new. It is very well located right in front of the Madalena harbour, so you can just step out of the boat and into the hotel. Breakfast lacks a bit more variety but with some good touches (good homemade cakes). It seems to be applying for 4 stars currently and therefore the improvements. No restaurant in the hotel, just breakfast and a tiny bar. Still smells a bit of paint / renovation in the rooms. A bit overpriced due to lack of competition (only two real hotels in the island).
Excellent location, good breakfast. Very helpful staff.
Hotel has new building with very nice rooms and good commodities. The Hotel personel are also very nice. There was only one bad issue: the toilet wasn't clean!
swimming pool, close to town center and harbour, silent place
I liked the local. the seaside view was lovely. I actually did not like the bed. I woke up with sore back every morning.
Location No Internet connection and highly disturbing loud music in the evening.
Location, ideal to catch the boat to Horta Lack of Internet and too noisy works from 7 am to 7 pm
That we got a nice room with view over the harbour and to Faial.
Very beautiful building with excellent view of harbor. Good location for walking into center of city. Restaurant mediocre. Food with little taste, and no local flavors. Waiters hover.
The location is perfect, good breakfast. We were disappointed with the room, it did not have a very nice view, the windows were dirty and we had no balcony (though on website it did mention a balcony!). Airco too cold and could not be adjusted.
The location was wonderful. It was right in the center of town, on the water, and next to the marina. Breakfast, and particularly the coffee, was terrible. Service could have been more attentive as well.
Good pool good location There was a smell of damp in the room when we arrived. Unwilling to allow a room move. Drilling started at 8am in the morning to repair light sensors. No tourist info in the rooms.
Clean with good size room. Staff are friendly and are wlling to help. Shuttle bus from airport is mostly appreciated.
Relatively big rooms, sufficient bed size, view, balcony Uncleaned chairs on balcony, no moscito protection grid, general state
The hotel is located in a nice place next to the coast. I did a local call(in the same village), because I thought it would be cheaper than my spanish mobile phone. The call cost me 2 euros for one minute, this abuses shouldnt be let. The rest is ok.
We very much appreciated being met off the ferry by the hotel mini-bus and taken to the airport afterwards. We enjoyed our stay.
Simple, nice, comfortable and very peaceful hotel, beautiful sea view from the balconies. Frendly staff. English style breakfast includes. There were no any international TV channels like CNN, BBC, Euronews etc. Only some local, Portuguese channels could be seen...
