Pros: Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Thoroughly recommend to anyone travelling here.
Cons: No negatives.
Pros: Great room and breakfast, they even prepared dinner for us and the other guests. Lovely area to stay and overall very relaxing.
Pros: Friendless of hosts
Pros: Casa el Chorro is a fabulous property. The hosts couldn't be nicer, their hospitality very much adds to the whole experience. It's nearby to El Caminito del Rey and you can go horseback riding which is right next to Casa el Chorro. If you're planning a visit in August, make sure you book el Camino well in advance. We were foolish enough to think we could just rock on up and do the walk but it was booked out for the entire month. This area of Malaga is well worth of visit and Casa el Chorro is a perfect base to stay while exploring the area.
Pros: Quiet location, fabulous hosts
Cons: 2.7km our if El Chorro
Pros: Very welcoming hosts who were happy to interact with their guests, giving good advice on where to eat and the best way to get to the Caminito. Great pool with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains - just the place to relax after a day of walking. Lovely breakfast served on the outside terrace when the weather permits. We had downstairs room and could sleep with the windows open for the evening breeze.
Cons: The road to the house is a little challenging at first, but after a couple of times not too bad.
Pros: The hosts were very friendly and helpful, Frank brought us with our luggage to the train station. The apartments are cosy, spacy and clean; we enjooyed the good breakfast and made frequently use of the swimming pool. The location is gorgeous; good for walks in the mountains and the Caminito del Rey.
Pros: The hosts were super friemdly providing the best breakfast I've ever had on holiday & making sure we had privacy as well as being helpful & sociable.
Pros: Beautiful location with stunning views.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Planning an event in Alora? This aparthotel has facilities measuring 549 square feet (51 square meters), including a meeting room.
Pros: Pool and good views, cafe at the train station for lunch
Cons: Would have liked some other daytime food menu i.e sandwiches, smaller eats, room we stayed in had spiral staircase "very tight"
Pros: Beautiful setting. Helpful staff. Lovely pool.
Pros: Exellent location. magnificent view, good brekfast on the terrace.
Cons: I am not happy that we stayed here only one night:-)!
Pros: The pool and views were great! They can provide tickets for Camito del ray for $10 pp, which were otherwise sold out. Rather than pay for an over priced tour, stay here and get cheap tickets for the walk.
Cons: Limited food options in the area, so be ready to pay hotel prices.
Pros: Outstanding pool and view. Food was also excellent and largely locally sourced.
Cons: Not much going on in the evening
Pros: Amazing views, pool, terrace, the garden. Would have stayed there longer.
Cons: I like everything
Pros: The location is at the end of the famous Caminito Del Rey walk, so it is perfect! We enjoyed a swim in the beautiful pool, took in fabulous views and enjoyed dinner and breakfast on the terrace restaurant. Rooms are well equipped and well thought out.
Cons: In the rooms we had, you had to climb a tight spiral staircase to reach the bedroom. Very stylish and fun but it was a little impractical if you're not so light own your feet.
Pros: Great location near Caminito del Rei and train station. Fantastic views. Lovely pool. Great breakfast. Get an apartment with balcony. Worth extra cost.
Cons: Dinner is expensive but there is a local supermarket nearby.
Pros: Staff were excellent, large room very clean would definitely recommended this hotel.

Pros: Although this is a Hostel catering mainly for climbers and walkers and our party is well into the old age spectrum and no way involved in climbing unless its up the stairs to bed we were treated the same as everyone else and made welcome by staff and guests alike, The "school like" dining room was a hive of conversation and no one was left out, whatever language they spoke, plus the food was nourishing and excellent value for money. We rented rooms that were extremely comfortable, cosy and clean but you could also rent a tent or pitch your own. Location is unbelievable and breath taking set high up in the mountains above Caminito del Rey, which was our reason for staying in the area.
Cons: Nothing could be better.
Pros: What really stood out here was the friendliness of the staff and owners. From the moment we were collected from the train station we felt really welcome. The room was modern and clean and as soon as you stepped out the door you were treated to great views over the valley and hills beyond. The swimming pool was refreshing and the communal areas were comfortable and well thought out. Breakfast was excellent - a real treat to get fresh fruit after so many breakfasts of bread and ham in Spain! The location was good as it's closer than most other properties if you want to get up into the mountains for walking or rock climbing. It's also close to a short cut down to the village which saves a lot of time. If you don't have rucksacks then you won't be able to take the short cut when checking in or checking out. Instead arrange a lift with the owners. Leave isn't an issue as it's all downhill along the road to the village and takes about 30 minutes (without the shortcut). A very nice restaurant is about a 45 minute walk from Olive Branch but there are closer options in the village that I didn't try.
Pros: Everything perfect, pool, kitchen, location, views, Friendly welcoming atmosphere, loved it
Cons: Everything was superb, we did not dislike anything
Pros: Clean, hosts were very friendly, fridge and use of kitchen excellent. Wine 3.5 Euro per bottle! Great stay.
Cons: Road to property is a little rough.
Pros: Wonderful garden an poolarea. The staff are all lovely and care taking people and uncomplicated. Good and big kitchen. Fantastic view over the mountains during day and a breathtaking sky at night.
Cons: We had a door with a glass part for light, but I would advise to change the glass part into be opened so that you can leave it open during the night instead of using the airco on a really hot summer night like we had.
Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful. Good place to relax. Very clean. Nice atmosphere and good point for hiking/ climbing/ walking. Kitchen provides everything for your self-use. Good wifi.
Pros: Mel And Gary were excellent hosts, fabulous location and facilities were excellent value
Pros: So relaxed and friendly extremely dog friendly. Lovely breakfast. We have never stayed anywhere like this before but will definitely go back.
Cons: If I have to say something the bed in room 1 is very squeaky if you do so much as turn over but the bed is still very comfy.
Pros: The location is amazing, the owners Mel and Gary were fantastic hosts, the staff very friendly and helpful, a perfect setting for our little get away.
Cons: Can not fault it at all.

Pros: Food, thermal water, treatments and service are perfect, 5+

Pros: Great Location to do the Comito del Rei Walk as it is only a 5 minute walk from the walking path to the start of the walk. The hotel helped us get the tickets to the walk. Staff were really friendly especially the barman and waiter in the restaurant.
Cons: Beds were a little hard and the bathrooms could do with an update.
Pros: This was an excellent location if you want to do the El Caminito del Rey hike or many other outdoor activities or even if you just want to get away from it all. It’s very quite and peaceful at night. Wonderful to walk around the dam and the lake. The area does get busier during the day when the buses come with hikers. But the hotel is across the dam and around a corner so it is still quiet. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The restaurant was great! Pedro and the rest of the staff gave us excellent food and outstanding service. Would definitely go back for a longer stay to explore the area more.
Pros: Great staff great food
Pros: The location of course. If you are doing the Caminito Del Rey, you almost have to stay here for convenience. The front desk staff was absolutely amazing. Very friendly and really cared that you had a good time. Tried to help with anything that they could. The hotel is nice until you walk into the room and it’s like stepping back in time. Very old and dark. The bed was very firm. The room was barebones, not even a hairdryer. We only stayed one night and honestly don’t think we could stay another night. It was clean though and the bathroom too. The restaurant was a bit overpriced but food was good.
Cons: Rooms need updating with brighter lighting.
Pros: A very well located hotel - a few steps away from the lakes beaches. A quiet location with great views on the mountains. It easy to access. The breakfast menu is set yet it is tasteful. The room was big with a huge bed and the bathroom was well equipped. We had AC and a TV.
Cons: It might be difficult to find parking close to the hotel (it does have a paid option).
Pros: Good location
Pros: Fantastic location, loved the area, staff were wonderful.
Cons: Small thing, would have liked a kettle but I understand this is not usual for spain.
Pros: Very clean, quiet and amazing views.
Pros: It is a very charming typical Spanish building in a breathtaking, relaxing environment. The staff was super helpful right from the start and even managed to get hold of tickets for the El Caminito del Rey hike which is almost impossible unless you know half a year in advance that you will be going (and even then you can only get the guided hikes which are interesting but mostly rushed). The hotel is only minutes away from the entrance tunnel to the hike and is very close to the lake full of options for water activity. Would definitely recommend having breakfast in the hotel as there are no shops around and is is a very good value for money. The eggs were made to perfection and topping up our water bottle wasn't a problem either.
Cons: The air-con in the room is very loud that makes sleeping very disturbed and there is no fridge in the room.

Pros: not much
Cons: Old and tatty
Pros: The room was quiet
Cons: The beds were small and uncomfortable. The ‘bungalow’was small and old fashioned. The shower did not have a curtain and Water went all over the bathroom. There was no WiFi and they could only accept cash.
Cons: No communication at all, no possibility to contact anyone when having some questions or technical problem with heating
Pros: Staff was excellent. The pool was delicious after all day hiking on 30º Celsius. For us, location was on point, as it was 30km of average away from our points of interest. 3 days were not enough.
Cons: Living. A microwave would be nice.
Pros: Grand location one of the most beautiful scenic villages on our walking tour.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: swiming pool closed in Oct
Pros: It was quiet. Dinner in the hotel was nice.
Cons: Stuffy room. Sofa with no springs. Bad mattresses. Dirty un-useable swimming pool. Poorly maintained garden.
Cons: Good Restaurant but no vegetarian options
Cons: The swimming pool hadn’t been cleaned and opened for the summer but this wasn’t mentioned on the booking site
Pros: Although staff did not speak much english, they went out of their way to provide an excellent experience. The bungalows are simple and without air conditioning, which, was not at all needed as the temperature at night falls to very comfortable i.e. air conditioning not at all necessary. Between their small swimming pool and the simple but very tasty food it was the perfect place for a family stop. Thank You, we hope to be back soon.
Cons: They do very well with what they have.
