Completely renewed, high standard. Sympathetic crew. Close to the RER station, 45 minutes from Paris Austerlitz. Calm, historical little town, some restaurants. Marvelous shower closet. Generous buffet breakfast. Easy parking.
The hotel was convenient to our journey to the South of France and proved to be the best IBIS hottel of the three that we used during our trip.
Wonderfull setting , comfortable room The food was excellent with an extensive wine list, however it was very expensive.
The beauty of the buildings and grounds Three flights of stairs to climb to the room
a beautiful chateau a wonderful stay
The walk around the lake. the view from the room. No proper shower-only hand held.
Oustanding facility Concierge could be more helpful in arranging activities
The Chateau was a unique experience, which was exactly what we were looking for on our trip. It was very well maintained and the rooms were spacious. The proximity to Paris was key for our trip.
The restaurant had a good ambiance and good food, although we did have to wait 30 minutes before getting any attention. We were placed in an annex to the main hotel (this was not clear from our booking) and then at 07:30 the hotel started loading laundry into a truck directly below our bedroom window.
Delightful setting. Beautiful hotel with great staff. Good facilities. None
The restaurant service Was very very very ineficient And we wait one hour after sieting to be atended.
Exterior outside is excellent. The room for double is bad. Double room in this hotel are in poor location (attic) .The money I have paid 275 euro is not worth for the room like this.
Ambiance both internal and external The restaurant did not do justice to the hotel - being only a little more than adequate whilst the Hotel was substantialy more than adequate.
We had a family room for our one night 'en route' over night stay. It was clean but sthe room was small and very basic and the beds not very comfortable. Food was good. See above.
Excellent welcome and meal provided after restaurant had finished serving.
The staff were friendly and the restaurant was nice and very child-friendly The bathroom could do with an overhaul
Ideal location for Paris & Countryside. Freindly atmosphere. Good value.
Excellent - lovely place just a pity we weren't there longer to enjoy it. Would definitely consider going back to stay for longer and explore the area. Forgot to supply the baby cot
very very romantic place..
Very friendly and perfect for overnight stop en route to or from places like Dordogne. Do not be late for breakfast otherwise early birds leave very little of buffet.
Well located and with an excellent restaurant Mirror cracked in bathroom and could not open wardrobe
Attractive location; exterior of hotel and restaurant pleasant and welcoming. Staff warm, friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable; bathroom modern and of a high standard. Breakfast very good: plenty of variety. Fridge much appreciated. Staff very understanding about shellfish allergy. On second night, waited a long time after ordering, for meal to arrive. Restaurant seems geared to early eaters. Would have liked more storage in the room, eg drawers by the bed?
Excellent dinner, quiet location
The hotel is just off the N154 so very well placed if you are making for the south of France or returning to the channel ports; it is approximately 5 hours drive to Calais. We has a garden room which was clean and of adequate size. The bathroom fittings were very good although the mirror was badly cracked in two places. But the partition walls are thin and it is possible to hear people in the adjoining rooms. The service was poor. On arrival we ordered drinks on the terrace which took about 25 minutes to arrive even though we were the only people at the bar - we were told there had been some kind of accident. Our evening meal was a disaster! we ordered aperiifs which did not turn up before the hors d'oeuvres - we cancelled the drinks. Our first course was OK, but then we waited ....and waited .....and waited. After about three quarters of an hour of watching other people coming into the restaurant and being served before us we complained, only to be told that our meal had been burnt and had to be recooked! After another half an hour we were eventually served only to find that my wife's gigot d'agneau was inedible.
A good, convenient location with good parking and a very good restaurant.
We enjoyed the peaceful countryside. Our room was beautiful and newly remodeled. The breakfast was comparable to others in France and was quite good.
We had booked a family room and it was very spacious, with the childrens' room on another floor. The stairs up to the room were rather steep, but this wasn't a problem as our children are teenagers. Separate sitting room which was great. We appreciated the free internet access! The only thing was that there didn't seem to be much choice of child-friendly food at the hotel. It looked lovely and, had we have been travelling without the children, we would have liked to have tried it. Tea and coffee making facilities would have been appreciated.
The countryside, parking and easy to find. The accommodation though very dark was compensated for by the small sitting out area and the bathroom. The staff seemed more concerned with the wedding they had later than our arrival. .For this reason we decided to eat in the village, where we enjoyed a nice meal. Breakfast seemed understaffed, we waited around for some considerable time for plates and the same "harrassed" lady checked us out!
We had a very nice and nice room with a big bathroom. Friends in other rooms told us that theirs should be refreshed. The external apperance of the hotel needs to be refreshed to profit fully of its charm
Hotel is a beautiful old building set in attractive grounds. Lots of character and charm. Hotel now provides free Internet.
Great Location, Picture Postcard Needs tlc. Rooms need updating, bed very uncomfortable
