The hotel is located in a beautiful, untouched and somewhat remote spot, which made it perfect for experiencing the incredible natural beauty, without throngs of tourists and the (unattractive) trappings of tourism. The hosts were professional and very open and helpful. The room was spacious and spotless. The hotel encourages visitors to take food from the breakfast buffet to make picnic lunches as well, providing plastic wrap, paper bags, bottles of water and extra snacks - a great and generous touch. Not really.
Great friendliness, amazing food, wonderful location
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Superp food. Good facilities for bikers
Very scenic, quaint village, ideal "get away from it all", excellent cuisine (the "carré d'agneau" - rack of lamb - is to die for!), professional and service-minded owners and staff. Rooms are a bit small for the price asked, no pool
Great service, you feel immediately welcome by the owner, his wife and the staff. The kitchen is very good and you get value for money. The room is cosy and traditional, but with all luxury you need. Certainly a place to come back!! Nothing!
Peaceful location - slightly away from the main centre but within easy walking distance. Friendly staff, good sized room. Bathroom not well lit.
A beautiful location, useful free wifi. Small and personal. Great views from balcony. Quiet and peaceful away from town.
Very friendly staffs, and spacious room. I think this hotel is run by a family and they seem quite interested in our comfortable stay and also opinion about the hotel.
Had an excellent room upstairs with a nice view, family atmosphere, great food - overally very satisfied! little bit noisy church relatively close... but that would be problem in a whole Scuol...
The friendliness and kindness of the staff, the cleanliness, the breakfast, the view, the location of the hotel. The balcony was a little smaller than I expected.
Location - views of mountains, quiet relaxation in garden
I loved the atmosphere which was very relaxing and quiet. Guarda has an almost spiritual quality to it. It is a very special place nestled high in the mountains. This family who runs the place obviously work very hard.
ambiance of classical mountain hotel of 1900, beautiful dining room and lounge, phantastic location overlooking mountains lack of spa facilities
Stylish accomodation in a marvelous alpine atmosphere. Very good food.
The Hotel Meisser is situated in a beautiful village in the lower Engadine Valley in Switzerland called Guarda. The hotel is well-run, the staff is very helpful and make you feel part of the Meisser family while you are there. It is quiet, the food is excellent, and the mountain views spectacular. We would definitely stay here again.
Lovely old style house, nicely decorated.Good breakfast buffet Room service poor, rubbish bin not emptied, bedding not changed, towels removed instead of replaced etc..Informed no coffee at 21:15 as the coffee machine had been turned off. Asked to sit outside with 7°C as the tables inside were set for the evening service etc.
The hotel is in a beautiful location and the village of Guarda is very interesting. Good Breakfast and nice garden. Personnel in the dinning room friendly and competent. Dinner overpriced. No elevator and no help with the luggage.
Warm and friendly atmosphere, excellent food, quiet and relaxing, very well placed in a sunny area. Pets accepted and welcomed.
Rooms are simple but spacious and quiet. Professional and friendly staff. Excellent restaurant.
The hotel is very beautiful, in excellent position with a wonderful see on mountains
breakfast was moderate
Very helpful staff, wonderful Swiss breakfast in the restaurant, easy access to Ftan ski lift and Postbus to Scuol.
Excellent! A little bit expensive for a budget trip.
everything, this is one of the best hotels I visited, jacuzzi with mountains view, super staff.
This location is quiet and comfortable for only one traveller like me. Staff is so kind. Swiss wine and Hot pot are my best memories !
Peace and quiet O.K. - I do have a complaint - where dcan I express it ?
Warm and friendly staff--the couple who ownb the hotel could not have been helpful and gracious. Excellent breakfast and dinner.
Home from home, personal attention and superb food
Piz Buin fited with Gualda which is a pretty village as shown in a fairy tale. We could We relaxed very much with their hospitality. Especially meals were delicious!
Quietness, full nature environment and good service at Hotel
The hotel is beautiful, we admired the flowers, ate delicious food and the hotel staff did everything they could to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. A make-up miroir in the bathroom would be useful
Very nice hotel, stylish furnishingsand. Very comfortable room. So romantic. Good breakfast too. Location: quiet but not so comfortable because of the tortuous mountain road. There is nothing around, only other hotels. You always need the car to go to Scuol. Price quite high.
Excellent dishes. Beautiful nature.Very good place for winter rest.
Very kind staff, room clean and nice, right price, good position in front of the rail station, good and plentiful food for breakfast. Good food at the hotel restaurant too. No time restrictions for eating: We had lunch at 3 pm. At 10 am a chambermaid will try to open your room door even if the check out time is planned till 11 am so you will have to start dealing your way out!
Very comfortable - when we checked in we receivd a 'free' bus pass this was fantastic and we used it to travel around the region (not just the town) - hotel was close location to bus station. Hotel was in a peaceful and pretty location with great views - good restaurant
large room very high prices.
A good hotel, starts with the staff. The Engiadina has wonderful staff. Second the room. Our Suite was divine. The design, quality, and cleanliness were excellent. No concerns about the bed quality either, just so comfortable. The duvet and pillows top quality. The Engiadina is in old Scuol. It is a beautiful character filled hotel, and is a 3 minute walk from the main street. A great hotel.
I liked the willingness of the staff to please, and the attention to the cleanliness of my room and the hotel common rooms. would prefer the rooms to be more easily accessible---not as many stairs to upper floors.
Perfect location in historical part of Scuol. Excellent combination of comfort and place spirit. Staff is very good but many of them do not speak English at all.
