10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this property! It is so much more than a place to sleep- it’s a hotel, a bar, a restaurant, a grand faculty for large parties, plus a lovely gift shop open until 11:30 each evening. And it also houses a small factory for packing jars of roasted red peppers! This was an unexpected treat in a small village right on the Camino ( oh , did I mention they also have a hostel for Camino pilgrims).
Cons: Can’t think of even a small thing to say negatively!

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The man who check us in was reasonably prompt, polite and efficient.
Cons: The inside was very plain, no character. Outside, it is sandwiched between two buildings which appear they need to be condemned. Made us worry about bugs and vermin. I found a bug in my bed, don’t know whether or not it was an actual bed bug, but I flicked it outside and never found another and was not bit. Still, not a comfortable evening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ibon was a terrific host. La Casita is a no frills place but it's everything you need. I had my best night of sleep in a month there.

5.5 Okay
Pros: This is a motel. Not geared for pilgrims on foot. Breakfast was English toast and jam, orange juice and coffee for 5euros! Would not recommend
5.5 Okay
Pros: The rooms are modern and clean.
Cons: Warning: it's a No-Tell Motel. The walls between units are thin. There is an ongoing effort on the part of staff and building design to minimize contact between staff and guests. Food is non-existent and drinks are expensive. The staff will order takeout food from a local restaurant but it takes forever to arrive.

Pros: Close to the Camino at Camponaraya. No food options offered.

Cons: Wifi was spotty so could hardly get internet connection.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, very nice and helpful staff
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was in the centre of town, which was great. It had a breakfast area on the ground floor though I didn't use this as I always left early. The room was comfortable and I slept well.
Cons: Although it was fine, the building only has a person in reception for a limited time. I checked in at a hotel on the way into town where the keys are kept when reception isn't manned. They also had an automated check in at the building, but somebody who tried this couldn't get it to work and the machine left an image of her passport on view until the staff turned up. So best to go to the local hotel on the way into town if you are outside normal reception time.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything perfect
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place and staff
Cons: Bed was hard
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was in a great location: there were tons of places to eat and drink in the town. Most were right near us! Shopping was just a few streets away for some essentials. The staff was LOVELY!
Cons: Already mentioned the beds : well the sheets and duvets. The price could have been a bit better for what it was, but it was still good.
7.0 Good
Pros: Centrally located right on Camino. Internet was good. Shower hot. Beds comfortable. Meal and bar located on site although there were other restaurants available also.
Cons: Room very tight for 4 people. Toilet seat was broken and came right off toilet. Quiet facility. Our view consisted of looking across at back of dorm room. Not good value for what I paid. Should have been maybe $50 euros instead of $70.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean room. Had access to a washing machine.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Basic, but comfortable room with a nice private bathroom.
Cons: I found bedbugs on my bed when I woke up in the morning. This is not necessarily the fault of the owner, but I felt that the staff could have been a lot more accommodating when I reported them. I had to spend another €12 on laundry and €10 at the pharmacy to ensure I didn’t carry them onwards and the woman just shrugged it off. As a camino pilgrim, I didn’t get to start walking until 10am, which is seriously late in hot weather. Even a free cup of coffee would have been a decent gesture...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was in a room of 4 with our own bathroom. After the girls left early, it was like having your own private room. The Hostel was right in the Centre of town. Cacabelos is a much bigger town than you think, in the middle of the wine district & good choices for dinner.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean and tidy and comfortable

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff very kind and helpful. Good services and the facilities are well maintained
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bunk room is very comfortably designed. There are outlets near each lower bunk. The showers were excellent and the facilities very clean. The pilgrim meal tasted good and was reasonably priced. The have a pretty back yard for the restaurant. The staff was really fantastic. Thank you!
Cons: Not sure there is much they can do about this but the weather was very hot and so was the bunk room. Also, the automatic lights to the bathroom come on in the night before the door is closed and wake every one up. These things were minor though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was SO friendly!!! They gave us lots of tips when we arrived and a list of things to see on our way to portugal!!! The location is awesome and the property is so so cute!!! We loved our stay here and will deffinitely come back for longer!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Large dorm with space by bunk beds. Beautiful covered outdoor patio to relax. Delicious food in clean cafe.
Cons: Dorm is dark.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, friendly son who really tried to help!
Cons: We arrived exhausted n in need of food, owner was not sympathetic.. he could have offered coffee n snacks, as the kitchen was closed. Perhaps it was really a language barrier. Also there were only 2 toilets for many people.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I loved Romina! She is such a sweet person. She works so hard. Javier was great and the food was fantastic!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Best thing was the food. It was excellent. I would go there for food only.
Cons: Got a double. You would have to be 4 foot tall to be comfortable in this room. Also, no windows. Felt trapped.
6.8 Good
Cons: the wifi doesn't work in the private rooms, and the ceilings are low because it's a tented roof, so they are quite small and extremely hot. Not worth the 30 euros
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was incredible, people were great. Wonderful!
Cons: Great!
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Was unable to sleep as it wa 36 degrees in the “deluxe room”. Manager refused to turn the Air conditioning unit on, claiming it hadn’t been wired up yet. No hot water in the shower. No WiFi in the newer rooms. Manager was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Told me to sleep outside if the heat was a problem.
Hostal Orly - Camponaraya - Building

7.5 Good (287 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hostal Orly in Camponaraya, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Bodega del Abad and Monastery of Saint Mary of Carracedo. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, nice room for the price. Very nice hotel for the price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room and great location excellent room view and delicious breakfast. Very friendly staff. Very clean
Cons: All was great
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very simple but clean hotel. Staff were excellent- we had to move rooms and they both suggested and facilitated it. Supper was very good and breakfast while simple was included in the price.
Cons: Peregrinos be aware that while this is a fine hotel it is almost three km off the Camino in another direction. We thought it was in town and ultimately took a cab there and the next day back to the Camino. There were other pilgrims there and they had almost an hour’s walk just to get back to the path.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff and the food
Cons: It was too far from the Camino
6.3 Good
Pros: It was clean and the dinner was good.
Cons: 1. On the booking page it said VERY good breakfast included! Those exact words. The breakfast consisted of two pieces of white toast, one packet of butter and on of jam. A blatant lie like that would be illegal in my country (Sweden) and would be reported straight away. Even the most basic albergues on the Camino are able to scrape together two pieces of toast, but noone would try to gain customers by promising a VERY good breakfast. I'm speachless. 2. I was there for 2 days since I was in pain from walking the Camino. During that time 3 different couples had sex in the next room (with very thin walls) 5 times. The last one got going just before I left on the departure day at noon. The couple on day 2 (who only stayed over the day) where so loud my bed was shaking. It might be a weird coincidence I guess or this place is some sort of rendevouz meeting spot. I really don't know. But it was very awkward and I'm so happy I didn't have children with me..
6.3 Good
Pros: We had a quiet room away from the N-VI, a busy highway. The keeper made a pretty good dinner as we were the only patrons at 6:00.
Cons: We were walking the Camino and hoped that it would not be too far off the path, but it was to the extent that they were unaccustomed to pilgrims. The room and bath were not very clean. It was on a busy highway so there is nothing of interest to see.
