Pros: The breakfast was very plentiful - more than we could eat - 3 types of bread, croissants, cake as well as fruit and muesli. Fredericke was very welcoming and helpful - carried in our bags, put freezer blocks in his freezer etc. There is use of the kitchen for doing an evening meal if one wanted to. A fridge can be used for own food which can be eaten in the garden or covered way. The bedrooms are very imaginably designed and hand crafted.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like
Pros: Wonderful breakfast and a very comfortable room and we enjoyed cooking for ourselves in the well appointed kitchen.
Pros: Very friendly host with a lovely (all home made) breakfast. We will definitely come back!
Pros: The friendliness of the owner, the breakfast, the decor.
Cons: Wifi did not work.
Pros: Location in a sleepy village overlooking farmland half way between Ypres and Amiens. Perfect for the battlefields. Rooms were traditional with style and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped with a hob, microwave, fridge and a large dining table. Large, enclosed patio garden. Secure off road parking within the farm buildings. Breakfasts were plentiful, with local breads, jams prepared by the host), meats and cheeses. Games / relaxation room was available which was comfortable. The price of £65 per room per night for 2 people with breakfast in August.
Cons: The beauty of the location comes at a price with facilities, shops etc. Nearest is 6 miles.
Pros: Delicious breakfasts, good location, wonderful and cozy place.
Pros: A beautiful house thoughtfully and skilfully decorated. Kettle and kitchen facilities available. Our host was most accommodating and helpful in all respects. He even followed us down the road after we had left to hand over a bag which had been left behind. Most kind.
Cons: The accommodation was absolutely fine but it would have been nice to have had more restaurants a bit nearer.
Pros: breakfast was lovely plenty of choice and always freshly made by Frederic the room was very nice, and clean and bed was very comfortable the room was spacious Frederic couldn't do enough for us he helped us with lots of new places cant wait to come back
Cons: there was nothing we didn't like
With a stay at Le Patio D'eric in Aubigny-au-Bac, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Place d'Armes and Douai Hotel de Ville. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very clean and beautiful cool design of the main area and room. Eric was very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast with fresh products. Next holiday we will definitely return on our way down to the south of France or when we head back. We found it an ideal location from the Eurotunnel.
Pros: The Erics were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and they were very nice to my dog who was also made very welcome. The room was spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean.
Pros: The owners were very helpful and friendly and have only been open a couple of years, so the accommodation in parts is still a work in progress. We were able to communicate very well via a translation app. Cooked dinner for us at short notice one evening when we felt too tired to go out and search for a restaurant.
Cons: Nothing atall to do with the accommodation, but there didn't seem to be many facilities in the local neighbourhood - perhaps we just didn't notice.
Pros: Cozy atmosphere, clean rooms decorated with love. People are very friendly. Excellent food. Thanks!
Pros: Delightful barn conversion into a modern and comfortable home with a stunning wood-burning stove. Such helpful and welcoming hosts who produced a delicious evening meal for tired walkers, an excellent breakfast with homemade jams from garden produce and drove us next morning to find the grave of a relative at Sauchy-Lestrée.
Pros: Eric was an excellent host and the meal cooked for us was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Lovely outdoor areas.
Pros: Everything about this adorable chambre d'hôte was excellent. Comfortable bed, great decor, wonderful friendly hosts. One felt immediately at home. I honestly wished I could have stayed longer.

Pros: We were delighted with the room, style cleanliness and breakfast was acceptable.
Cons: On arrival we had to wait for 20 minutes in the cold and only gained entry after several phone calls. They finally gave us the entry code to get in. There was a kettle, one tea bag which was fruit and no milk on either day. After the two nights and on the day we were leaving We had nowhere to stay until 1.00 the staff member was unhelpful did not offer advice and told us bluntly you were closed. Very sulky and surley person never smiled once. We were obviously a tremendous inconvenience to her. The only time she showed any interest was getting the money. Luckily our son stayed at Manoire de Fourcy 400 yards away and they were most hospitable and welcomed us to their dining area and supplied us with coffe and shelter until 1.00. I would highly recommend Manoir de Fourcy.
Pros: An amazing property, with an imposing front. Lovely big bedroom and a large bathroom too. Attractive grounds. Quiet location. Would work well for a group of people staying together.
Cons: Hard to find in the dark.
Pros: The location and the building are charming
Cons: I couldn't connect to the wifi...password to be check
Pros: Breakfast was poor. Room very large and comfortable
Cons: Staff practically non existant
Cons: Exceedingly slow WIFI.
Pros: The big, spacious, cozy room, having a bath tub and the breakfast... not sure a king would have anything better!
Pros: Everything about this place.
Cons: No internet reception in Room 4
Located in Dechy, Kyriad Douai Dechy is connected to the convention center, within a 10-minute drive of Place d'Armes and Douai Hotel de Ville. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Planning an event in Dechy? This hotel has facilities measuring 473 square feet (44 square meters), including a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Kyriad is great value for money, each time I have to go somewhere I try to find a Kyriad to stay. The hotel is located in an industrial/shopping area, so it is very quiet at night. Fair enough, if you want to visit Douai you might not be that well located but for me it was just a pause during my trip. The hotel is within walking distance from restaurants + you have an Auchan nearby, so if you need gas or something else it is right there. Very friendly staff and the room was very clean (except for the shower).
Cons: I had some stains on the towels and the shower wasn't that well cleaned (hairs still on the wall). The shower door doesn't really close that well on the bottom, letting water pass. (This caused somewhat of a flood in my bathroom). So nothing really disturbing.
Pros: Nice clean room with plenty of room. Pleasant area for breakfast and breakfast was good quality. A pretty good stopover hotel for us.
Cons: Breakfast was pricey. A bit remote for a walk out to eat.
Pros: personal very friendly
Pros: Staff friendly and good salmon and broccoli lasagna.
Cons: Separate beds and poor quality finishes of hotel. Breakfast was poor for cost.
Pros: Clean, bright and spacious room
Cons: There was no heating in the room - although this was quickly remedied by staff by the supply of fan heater
Cons: Lighting in bedroom is too poor for reading. Receptionist sent us to wrong room on 2nd floor and did not apologise for mistake when we had to return and then go back to different room on 2nd floor. Children playing football in corridor in evening.
With a stay at Le Manoir de Fourcy in Corbehem, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Place d'Armes and Douai Hotel de Ville. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The property looks magnificent from outside. The furnishings look good, but as they say "All that glitters is not gold"! Such a disappointment. There is a good chip shop up the road, which we really enjoyed.
Cons: There was no tea or coffee available. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever had the misfortune of trying to sleep in. The tap in the bathroom was wobbly and I feared that it would break. We saw no one from the time we waited to check in to when we checked out. We heard the other guests during the night. The wifi did not work. I am glad we did not pay extra for breakfast as I could see the bread rolls waiting to be eaten the night before!
Pros: Lovely old grand house with spacious comfortable rooms. The house is set in spacious gardens in a small village. The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and parking was very convenient.
Cons: Everything was very good.
Pros: Loverly building nice location
Cons: The bloody great RAT running through the dinning room
Pros: Second visit here. Very comfortable spacious rooms and shower rooms. Parking. Breakfast good This time we had a room overlooking the gardens at the back - very peaceful
Cons: WiFi- couldn’t access at all from our second floor room. Restaurant closed - we’d had an excellent meal there last September. As they advertise the restaurant shouldn’t it be made clear when it’s closed. Breakfast good though not as well organised as last year. Had to ask for glasses, plates and cups.
Pros: Not applicable
Cons: The building needs renovation.
Pros: Clean, comfortable and easy to locate.
Cons: No staff readily unavailable in the morning.
Pros: Ample parking, although it was not completely secure and this was a pre-requisite for our selection.
Cons: NO BREAKFAST AND NO ADVANCED WARNING THAT THERE WOULD BE NOTHING. No Tea or Coffee, absolutely nothing, just a room.
Pros: It looked pretty from the outside
Cons: The bedspread and cushions were filthy There was no cover on the quilt so we could only use the sheet No help with our bags and we were out at the very top of the house when it was obvious that this was going to be difficult for us
Pros: Good overnight stay. The room was large and well furnished, We were let in by a concierge, who then left and it seemed like we were the only people in the place. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well equipped.
Cons: Although it is not the hotel's fault there was a dog who barked ceaselessly from just after 7am, waking us up, until we left which was very disturbing. The manoiir is opposite a large factory and there is a fair amount of noise from that and the road.
When you stay at La Ferme de la Sensée in Gouy-sous-Bellonne, you'll be next to a golf course and 9 minutes by car from Place d'Armes. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: We were made to feel extremely welcome, the bed was superbly comfortable, the room charming and very spacious and the evening meal was absolutely delicious! We enjoyed a tour of the stables with their beautiful horses and one foul. We will return very soon.
Cons: There was nothing not to like.
Pros: Beautiful Chateau with fantastic hosts. Would love to return. Comfy beds too.
Cons: Open bathroom to the bedroom. Perhaps a portable modest screen to give a bit of privacy for those who wish to use it? However the stone sink and shower were excellent.
Pros: Great breakfast. Lovely environment.
Pros: We liked the owners and it had the feel of France much better than any corporate hotel
Cons: There was nothing to dislike.
Pros: Friendly Host
Cons: Requested Twin room and gluten free option .The host hadnt read the booking email We were given a double Room . No gluten free option offered at breakfast . I had to eat my own bread . One Tbag available for a breakfast T bag of my choice. Others were not my liking Host had left then to tend to horses Couldnt ask for a second . All croissants & bread fine for husband not for me . Cheese offered late . No one answered the phone when we rang as when we pulled in ,what looked like an angry dog was barking and we were unsure whether we could get out of the car safely . Eventually the host arrived with a horse. All in all room was a disappointment We felt didnt match the pics or description
Pros: Beautiful location, and very relaxing. Hospitality of the owners was excellent, and made us feel very comfortable. It was a good place to stay on the way back home, we will be going back in the future. Breakfast was delicious too.
Pros: Fabulous farm in a lovely location. Very easy to find. Owners really lovely, very friendly and welcoming. Lovely family room, absolutely huge. Beds very comfortable. We loved seeing the dogs and horses on the farm. Lovely breakfast of croissants, bread, jams, fruit, coffee, juice and hot chocolate for the children. Excellent B&B, highly recommended. About an hour from Calais.
Pros: Delightful hidden gem. Beautiful, spacious loft room. Comfortable beds. Charming and relaxed hosts very willing to help. Delicious breakfast in charming room.
Cons: Nothing although be aware that it is in a tiny village so check dining arrangements in advance (especially on a Monday)
