Good breakfast; more than the typical hotel one with hot food-eggs, bacon, sausage; a bit different each day. Very nice and attentive breakfast staff. Front desk was good. Pick-up service was timely. Bed was good; clean facilities. Quiet. Affiliated with adjacent comfort inn. Price the lowest around for a typical hotel. Overall, a good stay at a good price. Will return.
The pillows were hard and a bit tough to adjust to one's head. Both spouse and I agreed on this. A bit noisy when showers are running elsewhere in the building. It is a motel, which might turn some folks off.
Everyone was very nice. Room was very clean. Shuttle to Pentagon city was awesome. I have to note here that the bed was unexpectedly comfortable!! We all loved our choice of hotel. Thank you!
Not very pleasant, had to move rooms several times because things were not working properly. Very unhappy.
Loved the proximity to Public Transportation (Bus Stop) as an option to hotels shuttle which was often full. Also, the coffee in the lobby is excellent! Just a great value overall. Free parking was helpful and there was always a space open.
We had a little mishap with no towels or soap after room cleaning the first day, but that was remedied with a quick call to the desk. If you plan on using the hotel shuttle to get to the Metro station, just know that it's a regular van that serves two hotels. If there's more than 6-8 people standing in line you'll likely need to wait for two or three round trips. Learn to use the Bus 84/87 around the corner!
The breakfast was good and the hot part changed each day. The variety was nice. The shuttle was convenient and dropped us off by metro station.
The walls were a little thin. I could hear my neighbors early in the morning.
Stranded at the airport. No shuttle anywhere. After 45 minutes of letting their phone ring off the hook and talking to four desk clerks, one of whom was quite rude, we were finally authorized to take a taxi at the hotel's expense. This took way too much wrangling. No problem with the shuttle to the airport. Breakfast and room were nice.
Very close to the airport. Comfortably large room. Bed was comfortable. Operates a shuttle service.
Not a lot of food options within walking distance. Minimal staff. Safe in the room was not working.
Breakfast spread is good enough for two or three days stay. Waffles, poached eggs, sausages, potatoes, juice, GOOD coffee, yoghurt, varieties of bread, doughnuts, cakes. However, long queues when hotel is fully booked. Room size is sufficient for a small family. An additional wash basin outside the toilet is a good idea to save time in the mornings.
Very thin walls and you can hear conversations in neighbouring rooms clearly ;-) A neighbour left the TV one during the night and it disturbed us. Toilet requires renovation - tiles chipped off, WC in an awkward location that was not comfortable. No eating joint within walk able distance though in a busy area.
Best Western is a good place to stay if you are looking for value for your money. Breakfast was good and the shuttle service was great. Hot breakfast eggs sausage and potatoes. You could also have waffles or breads and fruit. The shuttle service was pretty quick and you only had to wait about 15 minutes.
The facility is an older hotel and they were working on the Internet while we were there. The rooms are okay but they don't have a mini fridge or microwave. The ice machine didn't work either. If you don't plan on being in the hotel very much it wasn't too bad.
excellent location. nice staff
there is no microwave or refrigerator in the room
affordable, free shuttle to subway was clutch
free breakfast was mediocre at best
This hotel is very reasonably priced and close to the RAC (D.C. airport) which was key as I booked a room after my flight got cancelled around 10pm. When I got there, the staff told me there were no available rooms, and so transferred my reservation to their sister hotel (Comfort Inn) that was just across the parking lot free of charge. The two stars are for the fact that I didn't have to pay for the transfer.
As noted in their other section, I only found out that there were no available rooms after I had taken a taxi to the hotel (about 40 min after reserving it through Kayak). Although I did end up getting a room, I had to stand there for 20-30 minutes as the staff talked about the fact that there was no room. They then had me walk to the Comfort Inn without having first made sure there was a room for me over there, and then I had to wait another 20 minutes as the Comfort Inn staff got my information faxed over and got me checked in. Everything was fine after that, but I was not impressed by their service in all.
