Pros: Outstanding views and facilities. Excellent value
Cons: Can’t recommend this enough no room for improvement
Pros: Fantastic location. The room/apartment was nice and very clean. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English.
Cons: As I was the only guest, they wouldn't open the restaurant and I had to eat either meatballs which I had to heat up myself or salad.
Pros: Peace and quiet
Pros: We had a very relaxing and enjoyable 2 week stay at Posada del Candil. The accommodation was comfortable and suitably equipped for our needs. There were several private balconies available to our apartment with breathtaking views of the mountains of the Almazoran valley. Breakfast was provided and very enjoyable and plentiful. We had several evening meals in the restaurant which were excellent quality with home grown organic vegetable and salads and locally sourced meat. The meals were reasonably priced and service was excellent. We loved the local area and particularly the local walks around Seron as well as in the local mountains. The local shops were great for provisions and there were weekly markets in Seron and nearby Tijola. The swimming pool was great for a dip to cool down and was very private and quiet. It was extremely clean and well maintained. It was lovely swimming or just reading by the pool while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Seron is generally a quiet scenic town away from the tourist areas around Almeria which suited us well. We enjoyed trips to the Alhambra in Granada approx 1.5 hours drive away as well as Nijar, Tabernas desert and the Cabo de Gata coast. Our hosts Javier, Marianno and Asier were very kind and accommodating and ensured all our needs were met. We plan to visit again and happily recommend Posada del Candil to other visitors.
Pros: The location is absolutely fantastic if you like it rural. So very, very quiet. Ideal if you just want to get away. We were there mid week in April and so it was not very busy. The views are stunning. If you go in the winter you will need some warmer clothes as it is very high in the mountains. If you are not "sure of foot" you will need to request a downstairs bedroom as the stairs in the apartments are space saving and if you need to visit the bathroom in the night they are a little precarious for the "older generation". There are lots of little pueblos around and about and you will always find somewhere to eat. If you have time you MUST visit Cortijo Búho in Benamaurel (50 mins drive away). Awesome experience but you must book.
Cons: The beds were a little harder than we are used to but that is purely subjective. If you want to eat at the premises YOU MUST BOOK. When we got up on the first morning we thought we would have breakfast in the restaurant but we were the only people - literally - in the place. No staff, no other visitors. Bring a kettle if you can - nothing like that in the small kitchen. A car is a must. If you do not like windy roads the entrance and approach is a little hairy. There is no maid service and so for the 4 days we were there we looked after ourselves and were not disturbed in any way. We paid 300 euros for the 4 nights and were a little surprised that that was purely for the accommodation and no maid service.
Pros: Amazing food and service. Most highly recommended in every way. The owner is a wonderful happy man who attends to all your needs
Cons: Slightly dark in the rooms but nothing to be overly concerned about
Pros: The location of the property was fantastic, perfect for a quiet getaway to totally relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. The on site restaurant provided an excellent rustic and cosy ambiance to enjoy the lunches and dinners all cooked to order - the meats were particular delicious cooked on the open wood firepit. The two bed villa was well proportioned with comfortable beds and a kitchenette with adequate facilities for our short stay. A good selection of breakfast items were offered including local or on site produce.
Cons: The open plan skeleton stairs were difficult for our old dog to use and we would probably have been better suited, in this respect, to stay in one of the apartments offered by the property.
Pros: The property was fantastic and real value for money. If you like the outdoors, hiking and nature then this is the place for you. The one bedroom apartment had everything you need.
Cons: Wifi only available in one area, none in the apartments. The drive up the mountain is not for the nervous driver or passenger. You need to take food shopping up with you as there is nothing in the area. You have to book dinner as the chef isn't on site.

Pros: the restaurant was vgood value, the staff were curteous and helpful. Good parking
Cons: all good
Pros: The beds were fine, everything was spotlessly clean and the staff were first rate. We had a menu del noche which was very good, a decent breakfast and we went back for lunch which was first rate - some of the best food I've eaten and would recommend the crema de zanahoria and bacalao to anyone and the lemon mousse was delicious.
Cons: The only slight thing I would have preferred was if the eggs at breakfast were cooked to order and not kept sitting on a hot plate - eggs need to have a runny yolk!!
Pros: dog walking was good.
Cons: reception did not know enough of the surrounding aree. Told us restaurant was open when it was not. luckily there is a reasonable tapas bar 4 minutes walk away, but one can only eat the same tapas once!
Pros: Very clean rooms and very friendly hotel staff. Good breakfast.
Pros: Secure parking for motorcycles, the food on the menu of the day and breakfast were excellent. Friendly staff
Cons: The name of the hotel is not displayed so you can easily spot it.
Pros: Helpful staff, nice on site bar and restaurant with good prices, and parking right outside the door. Nice places for an overnight stop.
Cons: Nothing much there other than the hotel and a few houses.
Pros: Hotel spotless rooms big and staff lovely
Cons: No tea/coffee making in room
