9.6 Excellent
Pros: Theodora was a perfect host, checking that we had all we needed, helping source bus details and providing a generous breakfast. The location was great for heading off on our last day hiking the Menalon Trail. The pillows here were the most suited I’ve found on our travels !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located in most beautiful part of Greece
Cons: Church Clock Bells: chime throughout the night! Not the host's fault!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The fireplace was amazing! Also, the bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The Wi-Fi signal was a bit unstable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Lovely host and good breakfast. Best shower in our 6wk holiday in Greece. Great views.
Cons: Everything was very good. Though the road on the south side of the village was very narrow and windy not for the nervous passenger!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast, and the host was very kind
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room with fridge and balcony, excellent breakfast. On top of the village, great view.
Cons: The bed was too soft for us. The check-in was a bit awkward, there is no reception area and at first sight there was nobody around. All went well finally.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this place is fantastic, but all are surpassed by the helpfulness and attentiveness of the lady that works there. I had a very early start and she prepared a veritable feast for me the evening before.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well presented room with view over the town and valley. Friendly and helpful welcome. Not the easiest place to find in a car from one direction but well worth it. The local taverna in the square is super.
Cons: A kettle might be an added bonus.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Window view, hospitality, cozy rooms, breakfast
Cons: A bathroom is too small

Pros: Dimitris and his family were outstanding hosts and helped us with EVERYTHING we needed. The apartment complex is very nice with a beautiful garden in a great spot in Kalavryta. The breakfast was delicious with local produce and great coffee. We absolutely recommend to stay there!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: - Location: Papastavrou apartments are located right in the centre of Kalavryta, therefore most visiting sites as well as dining options can be reached on foot. - Cleanliness: exceptional like it would be at someone's home. - Breakfast: high quality products such as traditional yogurt and homemade jams.
Cons: - The apartments need better soundproof as you could hear other residents' mobile phones ringing. - It has to be mentioned that there is no lift and people with heavy luggage or disabilities might find it difficult to reach the apartments on the first floor.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good breakfast. Polite staff. Very large and warm room.
Cons: Even connected to WiFi there was no Internet access. The lack of elevator can disturb someone.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were greeted with such a warm welcome the minute we arrived (by Dimitra? Not sure how to spell her name, but she was so kind and helpful!) that I knew it was going to be a wonderful stay. We travelled around Peloponnese for two weeks and this was probably our favorite place. (The seaside is lovely, but so are the mountains and the people in the mountain villages are very nice and sincere.) The apartment was spacious, gorgeous, and SPOTLESS. The pool and other facilities were very well maintained. The owner lent the four of us mountain bikes and he even drove us to the trail and showed us where to go. We went hiking, and they gave us tips about the best places. They’ve built a climbing wall on the outside of the hotel, and Costas (owner) asked us if we wanted to climb. (Our son did it and had a great time.) AMAZING customer service. So friendly and genuine. And there’s so much to do in Kalavryta! We only stayed 2 nights, but I wish we had planned a longer stay. The town is lovely and the surroundings are just beautiful. From the hotel it’s just a few minutes’ walk to town (and a museum that even our kids found interesting after 2 weeks of seeing ruins and museums in Greece), there’s a train that tourists can take to the seaside, and there are plenty of hiking and biking trails. We have to go back to see the big tortoises!
Cons: The neighbors had barking dogs, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Pretty much everywhere we went in Peloponnese, we awoke to barking dogs in the morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff including Dimitra! ! Beautiful beds and decor. Wonderful large balcony. Breakfast was included. Complimentary wine and juice on arrival. We were upgraded to larger room. Open fire. The kids loved the pool and spa
Cons: Nothing it was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the view was beautiful and the room very spacious and clean, with a fantastic view. Perfect for a summer stay, to get away from the heat
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service at Alphine Aria was simply exceptional and made memories for us that we will always treasure. After arriving too late to make a round trip on the Ondontotos railway (highly recommended), Dimitria arranged for the owner (Costas) to pick us up at Diakopto so we could make a one way trip from Kalavrita. He only charged us for the gas!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good location to visit Kalavrita and surrounding area. Good bed and breakfast. Pleasant staff ready to help any time.
Azanias Chalet - Kalavryta - Building

Overview Reviews
Located in Kalavrita, Azanias Chalet is within a 15-minute walk of Kalavrita Memorial and Kalavrita Cathedral. Featured amenities include express check-in and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The train up from Dhiakofto to Kalavrita was fantastic. We were met at the station by our charming pregnant hostess who took us and too much luggage up to the chalet and to our room, which was really lovely and had a great view. Everything one needs for breakfast was provided. She even leant us her car to go to her favourite restaurant which turned out to be a great recommendation. She leant us it again the next morning to drive to the famous Aga Lavra monastery 15 minutes away. She then dropped us off at the station for our return trip down through the gorge. All in all we cannot recommend her place highly enough. Kalavrita itself is charming considering it was totally destroyed and burnt to the ground by the Nazis in 1943.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location the property the breakfast idea of having it in advance in your room was altogether what makes this place ideal for relaxation. I will come back and will recommend it to my friends
Cons: really can't say anything that did not like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the stunning view, the room's decoration, the cleanliness and the overall "quality" of the chalet, make it the best and top choice for the area!! The price is extremely low for the service provided!!
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel room has two floors, with both a balcony/terrace with a view on the garden with swimming pool and the village in the valley. A plus was the kitchenette with the possibilities to cook water/make coffee. Also a big fridge was really usefull, There was plenty of kitchen equipment. There were no possibilities to cook. Everyday they clean the room and refill the fridge and stuff for breakfast. Breakfast exist out of fresh bread/crackers, fruit, milk, coffee/tea, butter/choco/jam. For us this was fine. The village is not reachable by foot, you need to take the car (only 6 minutes). The village has a lot of possibilities, like supermarket, bakery and restaurant. The host is very friendly and the whole building is well maintained and the garden is phenomenal. There is enough parking space as well.
Cons: We need to say that the room is very noisy. As well the floor upstairs as next to us we heard the other guests. We were unlucky to sleep next to a guest that was screaming in the evening and night. Upstairs there were two couples. We decided not to tell the host and were lucky they left after 1 night. We mentioned it during check-out.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in this quiet location for one night to break our journey from Stemnitsa to Delphi. Anna is a very friendly caring hostess. She only speaks Greek but we could still understand each other. The bar/restaurant is basic but was busy at night when the villagers come in. The men play cards and the children are on their computers. Our room was better than expected. Roomy, clean and comfortable. It has air-con and a fridge. We slept well.
Cons: Food was basic.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is my third stay at To Greki, which is a perfect base from which to explore the wonderful surrounding countryside, especially on a motorbike. Anna, who also runs the taverna in the same building, is a welcoming and generous host and a decent cook - and a great person to practise one's Greek on ... Livartzi is a charming village in a lovely setting - though with a sadly depleted population. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet - and excellent value for money (as is the home-cooked food).
Cons: Nothing I didn't like. It would be nice to have tea/coffee-making facilities in the rooms and a slightly roomier shower. But hey, this is a remote mountain village and the best value for money for miles around. You won't be disappointed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely lade, lovely room, lovely local area with frioendly people. Very nice breakfast. Just a great experience all round.
Cons: We struggled to find it. I think the location on here is wrong maybe as we used this for our satnav but ended up the wrong end of the village.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice people, but most of them don't speak english.
Cons: The road is dangerous
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just perfect, Anna is a great host and she is a great cook too, our room had amazing view, the village is small and beautiful, we enjoyed every moment there!
Cons: We stayed only two night, I would definitely go for 3 night's or more
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Tranquil and beautiful location.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our stay in To Greki was a taste of how life is in an original, traditional, non-commrecialized Greek remote village. If you are looking for a fancy hotel, look for other places. If you want an authentic experience, consider this guesthouse. Anna is a great hostess, inspite the fact she barely speaks English. Use Google translator, and you will be able to communicate with her. It was a very special experience for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and calm place with a very good quality/price ratio. Kindess of owner and her good food for diner (we decide the menu the day before and she prepares fresh and natural food).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ana the host is so lovely, she goes out of her way to make you feel a home, finding locals who could speak English with us and preparing us authentic Greek dinners. Livartzi is a very special village, beautiful plane and chestnut trees line the river that the town sits at the top of. Cute cobble streets and friendly smiles from everyone, topped off with the epic mountain views. Can easily stay there longer! Our room was very comfy and we had superb breakfasts in the morning, you feel very well cared for here.

Pros: We had a great stay in this cute mountain village. Our hosts were very helpful and accommodating - even making me gluten free scones for breakfast. I'd definitely recommend staying here
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice fire place and very friendly owner
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hostess is perfect, very hospitable and friendly, gives you a feeling of close relatives or best friends with her care. The breakfast was so big and delicious, it's something to remember! The fireplace and the balcony view make the room very romantic.
Cons: I missed the hair dryer, would be nice to have it there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The personnel were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very spacious and really beautiful and cosy with the fireplace. The views to the surrounding mountains and forest were superb! My husband loved the local sausage at the nearby restaurant, under the same name (and management) as the inn.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great and the host was very kind!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host was very polite, enthusiastic and thoughtful. We were given a large and well-equipped room (I believe we were given an upgrade!), complete with fireplace and excellent views over a mountainous terrain. We had a very tasty dinner in her husband's Taverna. Bathroom was very stylish. Breakfast was delicious. Wished we could have stayed for longer - an excellent place to stop on the Menalon trail. If you arrive off-season and the hosts are not to be found at the hotel (as was the case for us), you can give the hosts a ring and they will be with you swiftly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was exceptionaly nice and helpful eventhough she does not speak English fluently. The appartment was comfortable and clean, breakfast really huge and super tasty! Her son has a restaurant in the centre of the village, called Restaurant Vasilikou, I definitely recommend it as well!!
Cons: Not a single thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was even better than we expected, view from the balcony is astounding! Owner is very nice, her taverna down in the village is definitely worth visiting for good food and authentic experience.

Pros: We booked the suite. However, someone booked it over the phone at about the same time. The hotel called us immediately to let us know and offer two rooms at the same price. It was an excellent offer and very gently performed. The personnel in general was excellent.
Cons: The swimming pool looks quite bigger in the photos and it creates different expectations. It is a pity because the setting of the interior garden and the pool is very good anyway, there is no need to make people think the pool is bigger.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern clean and location perfect
Cons: Loud music at the pool area
9.6 Excellent
Pros: So clean most of the staff were exceptional and would try to make your stay as good as they possibly could, breakfast excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very stylish hotel. Floor in the elevator was mesmerizing! Rooms are nicely furnished. We had an impressive view over Lagkadia and nearby hills from our large balcony/terrace. The restaurant in the hotel offered delicious Greek food and staff (and family of the staff) were exceedingly friendly and resourceful.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great stay and very comfortable bed. Only issue was that the room got very hot when the balcony was hit by the sun and the aircon did not work. Also some hairs found in bathroom floor. Amazing breakfast and very good staff! I would recommend and definitely come again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good buffet breakfast but you need to ask for toast if that's your usual breakfast. Very new building, lovely spaces for dining or just relaxing. Park outside the door but even if none available it's a safe area.
Cons: Two shower options per room. Raindrop shower, pounds away on your head. Only other option is a hand-held one. They need a fixture to place the hand-held one on the wall at head height. Shower cubicle drains very slowly but didn't flood. Also the bathroom door slides with a lot of noise and this wakes the other person at night. Limited menu, only 5 mains available during our 2 night stay but well prepared. No green veggies only salad.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly Staff - Great Location and views of the valley.
Cons: Need Air Conditioning for summer month stays.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: We loved this place and highly recommend it! From the first moment on it felt like holidays. The view is stunning and the whole house is very cozy, not just the appartement. The hosts put much effort in realizing a wonderful place - stone walls, a lot of plants, cute old wooden stuff and so on. They serve a perfect, homemade breakfast at their own cafe and were very helpful by organizing us tickets for a train ride. The village Lagkadia is worth a visit! We found it much similar to Dimitsana and Stemnitsa although it's not that often recommend or famous as these two. A big big plus is the parking lot that comes with the appartement. Parking space is very rare in the mountain villages. Because we're travelling with a 15 months old little one and have a lot of stuff to carry around it felt like a big relief knowing that we don't have to use some steps to reach the appartement. Please notice that there are living some little cats at this place. Don't worry, they are well fed and just curious of who you are. But for some people with allergies this might be a valuable Information.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Breakfast, view
Cons: I had my dog with me, we contacted the property before bringing her. Talked with them about everything, even how much the dog weighs. We even brought her basket with us for her to sleep in as we were asked to do so from the property. At check in, before even saying hi, the man complained that the dog was too big and said that she shouldn’t walk in any place at the property and he clearly wasn’t happy. I couldn’t understand why, as we talked with them before the arrival about everything. Next day he was more polite but at first impression, not a happy place

Pros: fireplace inside the room
Cons: mattress could be a little more softer

Pros: The staff / owners of Anerada are exceptional. Very welcoming and friendly & very careful to attend to your every request. A family-run Hotel with a big heart. Really enjoyed being able to step into a hot bath after a days snowboarding.
Cons: The bed in our Maisonette could have had a softer mattress - especially after a couple of days on the slopes snowboarding ; )
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing really good food. The hotel people very nice. The view from my Window was unbelievable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at Anerada, the hotel was very comfortable and in a good location, very close to the village, and with parking space. The staff were very polite and helpful. We booked the room with breakfast, which was very descent for a small scale hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and warm.
Cons: We were a bit dissatisfied with the fact that the beds were two single ones joined together, which did not bother us at all, but the bedding was for a double bed, and hence smaller than the width of the joined beds. It did not cover the mattress well and it was moving all the time, making it hard to keep in place. Also the mattress and pillows did not have protective covers.

Pros: great view. polite and helpful staff
Cons: no boiler in the room. Coffee cost 3 euros if bought from the reception
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything
Cons: Some small strange things. For example, when I asked for 2 empty wine glasses, I've got a pair of regular ugly water glasses with some foggy explanation why he don't like the idea of providing normal wine glasses; almost was given carton ones. Aggressive small dog outside (bite my shoe). I believe, host *must* somehow hide this dog from guests. My little son was very worried about this dog since the episode.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location and the fireplace. Personnel was very helpful as well.

Cons: Street noise was a problem
7.0 Good
Pros: Restaurant staff were obliging when my daughter asked for a Greek Coffee every morning. Spotless cotton sheets on bed and lovely clean towels.Location very good for getting about.
Cons: Breakfast: Fried eggs, omelettes, sausages never warm enough to eat even though we were early (08.00 am) to breakfast. Street Noise: My daughter was awoken by street noise early every morning.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location of the hotel. Had booked two single rooms and we were pleasantly surprised to be given two good sized rooms.
Cons: It was hard to find any staff when we came to check out and we did not find them particularly helpful or friendly.
4.4 Okay
Pros: Proximity to town facilities and railway station
Cons: Service did not come with a smile
4.0 Okay
Pros: The room's patio overlooking downtown Kalavryta and the free breakfast.
Cons: The staff smoked constantly and the smell found its way up to the room. Also, they have wireless internet, but it's 5 euros for 90 minutes and not free as the hotel's website might lead one to believe. The razor that was provided with the room was rusty and there were other signs that things might not have been as clean as they appeared.
7.2 Good
Pros: The hotel is lovely, the staff was very helpful and nice, and the room was attractive and had many amenities. The free continental breakfast was quite nice and very welcome. Also, the hotel is very close to shops, restaurants, cafes, etc., being in the charming downtown area of Kalavrita. The beautiful ski resort is about 14 km away, and the drive there was good.
Cons: The room was very nice but the temperature was too warm, and we could not turn it down effectively. Also, the promotional information said there was some onsite parking, but we only saw street parking and no available parking spaces on the same street as the hotel. Also, the hotel is very near the local church, so bells rang often and loudly.
6.0 Good
Pros: The central position, close to the main high street and station.
Cons:

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a family run hotel in a gorgeous valley just outside Kalavrita. The family and staff were just so helpful and went the extra mile every time to ensure our stay was everything it should be. There were so many examples of nice little extra touches including making chocolate milk every night before bedtime for our little girl. Also the traditional breakfast in the gorgeous kitchen were simply to die for! We have never tasted the likes of the gorgeous array of homemade food for breakfast in a hotel before. It was simply amazing! I would urge anyone who is going to be travelling to the Kalavrita or simply wanting to go off the beaten track for a while to just go and experience this very special place. Hand on heart, it is the best hospitality we have experienced in a very very long time!
Cons: I can't think of a simple thing that would need changing!

The lobby was extremely well decorated and the room had every amenity one could expect ans little extra things that really made it nice. We were able to get a nice fire going in the fireplace and just really had a wonderful stay. I have no reservations recommending to anyone to stay at this location.

Pros: The room was very spacious and the bed was comfy. The room was 2 min walking distance from town center. The staff was very polite and helpful.

Pros: excellent hospitality, great quality accommodation
Cons: nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Newish hotel - modern rooms, bathroom etc. high up so there is a good view of mountains and village. Friendly check in and friendly service at breakfast. Nice staff. Breakfast is generous- boiled eggs, fruit, meat, cheese, rolls and pastries. The hotel is a very short walk to the village. Recommend the hotel.
Cons: We had difficulty finding the hotel. The addresses given on booking.com and in Lonely Planet do not work in the GPS. The hotel sign board is different to what we thought we had booked at. Maybe if we read Greek, it might have been easier. Also, new hotel, nice fittings but nowhere to hang the shower. You can only hand hold.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice and polite people and staff
