Pros: We had an excellent stay at Villa Cinta. Our host Cinta was extremely helpful and the breakfast in the morning was simple, homemade and very delicious. We had the best view from our bedroom to the sierra beyond. An excellent stay all around. We have recommended to all our friends to definitely stay here if they are in the region. :)
Pros: Warm welcome, house full of character and an amazing breakfast of Jaburgo ham & home-made tomato.

Pros: The hotel is worth a better rating than I gave. However SEE MY COMMENTS.
Cons: I booked this hotel for its superb restaurant. It was closed for our evening meal. Although the cafeteria was open from 06.00 to 23.00hrs, this was also not serving evening meals. I was told that the kitchen was to open at 20.30hrs even though it was written at the hotel as opening at 20.00hrs. At 20.45hrs the kitchen was still not open and I was told to wait another 15mins. This was a Sunday in rural Spain, everywhere was closed. We went to bed with empty stomachs. The complete hotel staff were not sympathetic to our needs and really nonplussed and totally unhelpful. The cafeteria and terrace floors were carpeted, and I mean carpeted, with cigarette buts and other rubbish. One could not avoid walking on and through the mess. There was some sort of a fiesta that Sunday and the cafeteria was quite full, and as such, one could not hear one think. Horrendous noise. The hotel is extremely difficult to find.
Pros: The swimming pool was great!
Cons: The rooms were too hot and the staff was not very helpful. Breakfast was poor but ok for 5 euros.
Pros: Staff super friendly, motivated and swift working. They all seemed to have a good sense of humor. Spacious room, good wifi. There are a disposable toothbrush and -paste, a comb and raisor and soap as well as a soap and shampoo in dispensers. The hotel is right at the start of tracks into the mountains. And for those who like horses, like me, dozens of horses near, and riders passing by quite often. Picadero in a nearby village if you want to ride. Nearby castle is worth a vist.
Cons: Resturant only open for lunch and a late one too . 13.30...
Pros: Worked very hard to accommodate us for an additional night
Pros: Villas were large, spacious and well air conditioned. Staff were good, polite and helpful.
Cons: The swimming pool is in need of a good clean. The little tiles have grout that once was white but is black now. Looking under the water, you can see the black specs floating when they become unsettled. This hotel is not a typical holiday hotel. It is geared towards all year round business which takes priority. The swimming pool is not available to clients all day because they give classes to locals so clients have to leave. Also, because many workers stay at the hotel, we were reprimanded on a few occasions for make noise on the terrace bar late at night. We were on holiday and wanted to laugh and have fun. Not possible here.
Pros: Quiet place. Big rooms with great view to the landscape.
Cons: Staff speaking only native language.
Pros: Staff was extremely courteous and efficient!
Pros: The staff the cleanliness
Cons: Nothing I didn't like
Pros: Excellent breakfast! Great staff.
Cons: Unable to change arrival and departure dates on line. Staff was able to adjust billing for early departure; not for later arrival. Really?!
Built using natural materials, the Rincón de Abade offers free Wi-Fi and free parking. Many of the air-conditioned rooms have views over the town of Encinasola and the mountains. Hotel Rincón del Abade is a traditional building full of stone, rustic brick and wood. It is situated within the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche Natural Park, only 6 km from the Portuguese border. All of the rooms at the Rincón del Abade feature iron beds, satellite TV, heating and a private bathroom. The Rincón’s restaurant serves typical meals from the region and local specials such as Ibérico ham. A log fire can be found in the lobby. Rincón del Abade guests have access to the public pool and public gym. The cafeteria features products from the Huelva Mountains and excellent regional wine. There is a large bar, while the café also offers views over the pretty gardens and satellite TV.
Cons: Beds too hard, and for the cost, breakfast should be included.
Pros: spacious rooms, property was easy to locate
Cons: no staff at front desk, had to wait for bartender to come & check us in. 1 of our group was assigned a room that was already occupied, then had a lengthy delay while waiting for someone to return to reception & sort it out. At check in, we were told breakfast was available at 6 am, but at 6 am, were told no breakfast until 8, only coffee & 1 cold prepackaged Danish provided. When we left the breakfast area, several other guests were being served toast with ham & cheese. This was very frustrating as a group of cyclists with a long day ahead of us. We felt that the staff were not very helpful.
Pros: Lots of character. Nice bar atmosphere and people. Owner is great. Rooms clean. Stone bathroom with a bath. Perfect after a long ride. Also manage to eat and the food was very tasty, quickly prepared and exactly what I wanted.
Pros: Rooms were comfortables, very clean, had a terrace to a nice view of the village. The hotel is sufficiently outside the village to be quiet, yet it takes 5 minutes on foot to get to the village. It is easy to find and has a good, very cheap restaurant. Overall, it is an amazing bargain for money. I later stayed one night at a nearby hotel (sierra luz in cortegana) which was double the price but was not as nice. It made me appreciate this hotel much more.
Cons: As often happens in these types of hotels, there is no dedicated person to run the reception; those working at the restaurant do so in turns. They come immediately when you need them, and are very helpful, but they are clearly not trained to guide a visitor to the region: they are there to let you in, solve your problems (if you have problems) but nothing else.
Located in Santa Ana la Real, Complejo Turístico Los Veneros is within a 15-minute drive of Sierra de Aracena National Park and Chapel of the Queen of Angels. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: My mate snored
Pros: the location and surroundings, the owner agreed to shorten our stay without extra charge
Cons: very outdated house, the kitchen not clean, very stuffy / smelly inside the house though we tried to ventilate even though it was cold, the sofa never cleaned obviously, bathroom basic, towels with stains from being dried on something or from just staying out too long, all in all too expensive for what it offers.
Pros: The views from this property are stunning. The pool was great again with beautiful views. Rooms very clean and staff helpful. Was very peaceful, would make a great retreat to get away from it all!
Cons: The access road is a bit of a gravel track which can be a challenge on a motorbike. However, I had read this in a previous review and was prepared. I made it on a Bonnie, albeit slowly, so it is not inaccessible. Well worth the effort.
Pros: Nice, welcoming staff. Great food, excellent wine.
Pros: The peace and quiet here is so relaxing, the food is very good. Quite a way from any towns and a bit of a rough track to get here but well worth it the views are amazing. the hosts were brilliant and so helpful. The roads around here are ideal for motorcycling loved every minute of it.
Pros: Fantastic somewhat remote location with fabulous view. Very silent/quiet at night. Many facilities for a longer (family and/or couple) stay (pool, biljart, games, Nordic walking etc.).
Cons: The very narrow and with steep hairpins facilitated road to the property (''follow the signs...") from the higher located small village is with a heavy motorbike asking for problems; if not (very) dangereous. Also the not everywhere paved (gravel like) road from the other, so back-side, to/from the local official road system is not to be advised for motorbikes. For cars no problem at all. The quality of the food in the restaurant was disappointing, but could be an incident.
Pros: Made us feel very welcome and were very accommodating when we watched the England football game
Pros: Lovely spot in the mountains - very scenic.
Cons: Got ill from eating iberico meatballs.
Pros: Nice location, kind staff, good size room
Cons: Creacking beds, thin walls, too expensive, simpel breakfast
Pros: Location. Great and beautiful place. Wonderful view of sunset and later darkness around with weak lights of villages locted at mountains around. The hotel is also a small art gallery. The owner presents art collected durig his voyages around the world. We liked an abstract painting in our room. Room Two racks for luggage was helpful. Good lighting. Nice terrace. Interesting art in the room. Bed OK
Cons: Location The address and GPS coordinates show a crossroad of N-435. The crossroad is marked with the hotel name. From that point you must drive ca. 2 km along steep and bumpy road. But the view from the hotel is worth of it. Room Only one socket to charge our phones. Bathroom Very small with tiny shower cabin, no soap, no room for our toiletries Breakfast. Poor. Based on packed food. Bad surprise after very good dinner.

Pros: The manager was friendly and helpful, and everything was clean. There was a great rooftop relaxation area.
Cons: On the upper floor there was quite a bit of noise from things on the roofs of nearby properties squealing and clanking in the wind. I also didn't think it was very good value at E50 for a single room in a small provincial village.
Pros: Comfortable, clean, friendly host
Cons: No complaints exceeded expectations

Pros: The hosts were fantastic and the location in the mountains was great. The breakfast was fantastic too -- yoghurt, homemade pancakes with plum jam, toast, cheese and tomatoes, fruit, coffee, tea and orange juice.
Cons: The noise from the church bell tower all night.
Pros: A wonderful welcome and a perfect stay! Thanks to Sasha for her kindness and.... breakfast!!! (terrific jam made with local oranges)...
Pros: Beautiful and charming little hotel with lots of character. Absolutely loved the style and decor. Our host, Sasha, made us feel very welcome.
Pros: This posada was an absolute joy. We were so genuinely made to feel welcome. Every detail was superb. Staying her, the beautiful house, garden, the charming host.... we were so happy to have come here.
Pros: We enjoy staying off the beaten track when we travel and this definitely fits the bill! The area is beautiful, even in February, and there are many hiking trails around the village. The village is lovely and quiet. The owner is very kind. She even prepared pancakes for our children when they came down for breakfast! The coffee was also very good as were the jams and honey from the village. Wifi worked perfectly.
Cons: The streets in the village are narrow and finding a place to park was a challenge at first. Top tip: park near the church, by the playground, then walk 2 mins to the house! It's a beautiful old house with bags of character, however if you're tall it's worth contacting the owner to ask for a room with a shower where you can fit. We had 2 rooms and the bathroom ceiling in one room was high enough to fit even the tallest of us (+1.90m). (My daughter and I (1.70m) fit comfortably in the other one!)
Pros: Breakfast was lovely - the setting, personal touches (fresh orange juice, pancakes, home made jam and fruit salad)
Cons: Can't think of anything -
Pros: Lovely old period townhouse and a great hostess
Cons: We came mid winter and old Spanish buildings aren’t built for warmth
Pros: The posada is a beautiful place. The village is full of character and surrounded by chestnut Forrest, with terrific walks.
Cons: Loved it all!
Pros: Sasha and her simpaty! Amazing house, fantastic breakfast!

Pros: Personality, clean
Cons: I was the only person at dinner (it was a Sunday and Spain were playing in the World Cup)
Pros: The manageress was most halpful. We arrived late and she kept the restaurant opened and cooked us a lovely meal.
Cons: The steep hill from the carpark up to the hotel was a bit daunting.
Pros: Nice location in the mountains. Cosy and calm place. Big rooms with nice view.
Pros: Lovely setting. Clean rooms with air conditioning. Friendly staff.
Cons: Bed a little firm for my taste. Small TV. Lack of bedside sockets for charging. Dogs barking all through the night (not the hotel’s fault, but disturbed my sleep).
