Very modern and clean hotel with a quality feel about it. The loft style roof added extra character. Central location on the main street. The Manager was very friendly and one staff member in particular helped us out with things to do, walks/drives etc. The breakfast wasn't worth the money and disappointing given the hotel was quality in other aspects. Also, cigarette smoke from the bar downstairs wafted up to the mezzanine breakfast area. The airconditioning had been turned "off" summer mode and was now in winter mode meaning only hot ari was blowing, therefore the room was hot at night. It was unusually hot this time of year, so they should go by the temperature, not the date.
Your staff are very friendly, the room was comfortable and the location very convenient.
The hotel was a modern, clean and very comfortable, the Staff were also very helpful and friendly. The Acta Luchon was in a great location and well above our expectations. We had a great time, this was definitely one of the better places we stayed on our trip.
It was very close to everything in town. Great resturaunt across the street Park g was a bit difficult
Good hotel, nice view from 4th floor, professional staff, the waiter at the restaurant spoke English. The wireless did not function well at 4th floor - Had to sit on the stairs to send mail.
Friendly helpful staff The hotel room was just too small. Calling it a 'superior room' was a not appropriate
charming staff, excellent facilities and location. breakfast buffet on the expensive side. Would score a 10/10 if at least a continental breakfast was included in the price.
Staff not overly welcoming. Restaurant at the hotel had no menu.
Constant noise like rushing water from inside the hotel, not the room air-conditioning but possibly central similar. Please note: this supplied in error to review of Camapnile, Purpan, Toulouse!
wonderful hotel. a very good gym and a small indoor swimming pool. best location in town. 5 minutes from the cable car. wonderful staff, very helpful.very clen room + bathroom.
Quality for money Not easy to use the wifi
The view across town over the mountains. Beautiful historical building
Helpful and professional manner of the staff. They were most helpful when we had a problem with our car.
Good value and location
The hotel was excellent. A great position, very helpful staff. Excellent rooms with free internet access and a place to store your road bikes. all great except breakfast which was expensive for a limited selection.
Clean and spacious. Very close to the centre but still quiet. Reasonably priced food and drinks. The breakfast was not as good as it could have been. The cooked food had been standing for a long time and some elements were missing and not replaced. The coffee, hot water/milk were all just warm. This was at 0915 for a breakfast that finishes at 1000. Therefore, not good value for money at 10 euros.
Location, architecture, recently renovated No air conditioning
The hotel has been very tastefully decorated but still retains some of the original features. We had a spectacular view of the mountains from our room. A great base for hill walking in the Pyrennees.
Location and a fairly large room.
The location, close to the centre but calm and peaceful. Excellant restaurant. Lack of air conditioning in bedrooms
The staff room and breakfast were all very good The car parking was very limited
very clean hotel and pool, friendly and helpfull staff
I was really suprised by the room, I opted for the cheapest option of a double, and expected something along the lines of a premier Inn, as found here in the uk, but instead I found a room with real character, very spacious, and a fantastic view! Friendly staff also. Can't grumble at the location, takes 2 mins to walk to the centre of town, but I found the address didn't exist on google maps. Fortunately I emailed my query to the hotel staff, and got a prompt response, saying to head to the 3M Mercure, and from there you can see Hotel De La Nest just further down the 'nameless' road.
We were met by Philippe who made us feel very welcome. He showed us to our room which was well laid out and perfect for a family. The location is superb, right beside the new ski lift and only a short stroll to the village - perfect. Although it was a perfect family room and newly decorated the lack of a proper shower was disappointing. In saying that I had a wonderful bath, something I haven't done in years.
I liked everything: room well furnished and comfortable, breakfast generous and varied, city center 5 min. by feet Room was not soundproofed enough, hair dryer missing
Very helpful and friendly staff. Room spacious and comfortable. Simple hotel, nice atmosphere. Great breakfast. Nice pool and longe area. Would definately recommend.
fact I had booked a table for dinner with you & the restaurant had closed permanently last June. Therefore after a long journey we had to drive to another restaurant - not up to your usual standard with previous bookings I have had with you
Nice quiet location within easy walk of the town. There wasn't a proper shower that you could stand under, just a shower attachment on the bath taps.
Very friendly staff, comfortable room and a pleasant atmosphere. I have no complaints about the hotel
Excellent position in heart of mountain village- so many activities on door step. Exceptional service. Originally booked 2 nights but extended to a week!
idealy situated usual high mercure standard best breakfast off our 2 week tour
Just such a wonderful location. Spa is wonderful and a real treat. Restaurant was very good too. A really relaxing place and plenty a car parking on site.
The bed was comfortable and the bedding was very clean and well presented. The surroundings / views were good It advertised a restuarant - which was necessary as it is remote but the restuarant is closed on Mondays therefore we were unable to eat that day - the room had such a low ceiling I had to crawl into bed and the shower and toilet was cramped and not well maintained
The Hostellerie is charming, and the Lesponne valley is spectacular. Our room was in the main lodge, and was very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful. There were a few things that made it less than perfect, though. They keep horses and donkeys across the road from the lodge, and we had to keep our screen-less window open because of the heat, so we had lots of very annoying flies in the room all night long. We also were disturbed to see the young woman handling the horses and mules repeatedly hitting them -- hard and angrily -- and yelling at them. I work with horses and know this is bad human behaviour. It gave us a sour feeling about the place. The Hostellerie is a family place, so there are kids running around, yelling, screaming, doing kid things that, if you're there for a romantic get-away, would be disturbing, as well.
Central Location. First rate staff. Value for money. Breakfast Fab...Would stay again
Close to town centre, free secure car parking Great views from our room, we were given choice of room which has never been offered before Staff were really helpful and pleasant
The owners/staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The location is superb with the hotel being at the end of the main street. Even though in the town center the hotel was really quiet affording a good nights sleep. The private secured car park nearby along with a cycle store within the hotel was a real plus point for us.
Lovelly owners and the perfect location in town looking down the main street and up to the Pyrenees. Perfect for a skiing holiday in Luchon! The best value and the friendliest I've had in France! Thank you!
Very friendly welcome, perfect location of hotel (5 min walking to ski- lift), excellent breakfast, closed and secure parking at 50m from hotel.
Nice staff, great location for walking in the pyrenees (from the doorstep), good clean room and great value for money
Good staff giving good helpfull and friendly service. Private parking available. Breakfast was continental but had a very good selection of food. Small bathroom.
The management of the hotel spoke very good English and were very helpful to us. Rooms comfortable, good location.
The friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms, good food both the breakfasts and in the restaurant in the evening. Central location.
A good comfortable room supported by attentive staff The only weakness was that the bath did not have a shower screen and it was therefore difficult to keep all the shower water in the bath
The service from Christophe (front of house) and Alain (the chef) and their attention to detail, room was comfortable, food was excellent
Friendly staff. Clean accommodation. Close to amenities and easy to find and access
A very good place to relax after a hard days walking
Excellent location near St Lary Soulan and central for several other ski resorts.
On paper this should have been a good hotel. Booked hotel for piscine, wifi and restaurant. Pool was closed, restaurant was full and wifi did not work properly. Most important _ when I spoke to the manager, he was not interested and instead told me all about his problems. I will not stay there again.
The tranquility of the location The restaurant being a buffet with boring food. Wonderful food around the corner
Price; staff friendly Hotel fittings are dated late 1960's; bed low and foam mattress and bedding very poor; no shower curtain or hook for hand spray; plumbing noisy in the morning time but mosts guests go to bed early.
Close to venue of family wedding I am sure the hotel was ok in the 70's but it clearly has not changed since rooms old, musty and with stained carpets no cold water in taps. Breakfast rubbish for the price but as we had no choice!! Being charged local taxes was also a shock! Although your price appeared ok when first viewed it was exactly the same as the hotel price and this was at least twice as much as it should have been
Staff helpfulness Supposed to be 3 star, but really only just 2 star.
Range of activities and treatrment available and warm indoor pool. Best to ask for nice view as front is better than rear. Quiet situation. Would have liked to stay longer. Shower cubicle would have been preferable to a curtain.
