Pros: Miguel gave us a great welcome showing us two rooms to choose from. Parking was easy nearby. The room was spotless and there was also a kitchen facility and lounge which you could use although I did not use it myself. Outside there was a lovely patio to sit and enjoy the sunshine after a days walking/sightseeing. Breakfast was available in the bar downstairs where we enjoyed coffee and toast both mornings. Miguel was also very knowledgeable and gave us a map with details of the places to visit and also recommended local restaurants.

The room was comfortable, clean and modern. Perfect size and view. The pool space is amazing and perfect to relax. The gentleman who has received us, was amazing and extremely nice.
Cons: The breakfast is really poor. we do not recommend at all. Don’t have variety. Bread and fruit were not completely fresh. No yogurts were available although there were few cereal options. Also, as it’s far away, we decided to have lunch and dinner at the restaurant. Although the food was good, is really overpriced, with few variety. The restaurant looked abandoned. We payed 10,50€ for a basic salad.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We believe the hotel was created fairly recently (maybe 10 years ago or so) on the site of an old bakery in the town . According to their web site, built out of a dream inspired by the love of beautiful things and the environment around Cortelazor. The decor is second to none with much thought gone into every successful detail . From the original stain-glass windows bought in Scotland from the remnants of an old church to parquet flooring and tasteful paintings. Personally, I have never fully understood the theatricality of the four poster bed but Linda loved it so there you go. My favourite detail was a copy of John Foredham's '90's book on Jazz in the bedroom bookcase, so there you go again. We only stayed the one night on a short birthday treat but enjoyed the stay immensely. We will be back. Cortelazor is situated in the magical Sierra Morena and from the village there are mountain paths in every direction. Memorable.
Cons: Nothing. All good.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place and its Owner are amazing. All facilities top notch. The décor is so pretty and attractive, in very good taste. Very quiet and spotless room. Breakfast very good. The pool and pool area is one thing I could take with me as a souvenir of a fabulous stay. We were also offered bathrobes for after our swim. The owner helps in every way possible and is extremely charming. Eateries close by reachable on foot.
Cons: Nothing to a finger at.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful old place with so many thoughtful extras - water available in the hallways, coffee point, games and books in the lounge/library areas. and a help yourself bar facility. Our hosts were lovely too
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful historic building has been restored and modernised extremely well an D doubtless at great cost and that made it a delight to visit. It is elegant, spacious and a lovely reflection of te Moorish history of the town.
Cons: More fresh fruit at breakfast would be nice.
7.9 Good
Pros: The gentleman owner did his best to make our stay as special as possible by bringing treats out to the pool and terrace. The 'honesty' bar was handy.
Cons: We booked the Superior Room which wasn't very....'superior'. You would struggle to describe it as having the advertised balcony. It was more of open doors onto a rail, and road and housing opposite. The room did not have a hairdryer or minibar and was a bit on the small side. Lunch and evening meal we understood were only provided on advanced request, and parking was on the road outside (€4.50 charge for eggs at breakfast!) All in all, we had the impression of a quirky guesthouse rather than a 4* hotel. Nice village but not a huge amount there other than a few bars which in fairness, were very hospitable, and thankfully served food.
6.7 Good
Pros: The swimming pool
Cons: Breakfast more than poor
9.6 Excellent
Pros: good casa, safe place bicycle, garden, good Spanish breakfast. Pity I coul not stay longer. very helpful Maria
Cons: no wifi in my casa, if I were the owner I would buy few lying chairs in garden to really relax

Pros: EVERYTHING! Grupo LEO offers the perfect combination of hospitality. They truly are in business to do business. This was the most superlative imaginable two-night stay! We look forward to more stays under the LEO umbrella! They think of it all, in just the right way.
Cons: Nothing. I was all perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location close to motorway and very queit
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was modern (much nicer than its pictures on-line), and our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Although the hotel was busy (it seems to be popular with hikers and cyclists), noise was not a problem. We were just passing through Monesterio, so didn't explore much, but the location was walkable to a number of modest restaurants (we really enjoyed our dinner, though I unfortunately don't remember the name of the restaurant). As I discovered on my morning run, you don't have to go far to find yourself in beautiful, rural scenery. A special thank you to the staff at the front desk for their helpfulness. Although I was trying to use my Spanish, the person on duty spoke excellent English. We'd run out of toothpaste and he found a tube for us in the hotel's gift store (which mainly carries jamon iberico and other food items from the region). The lobby level cafe was a nice place for a cup of coffee or a drink.
Cons: It's not a picturesque property in a glamorous location, but we weren't expecting that. Absolutely no complaints - it met our needs perfectly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Ideal for motorists looking for an overnight stop. Inexpensive, with everything you really need.
Cons: Cafeteria was noisy and busy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a very modern small hotel with great facilities and staff - Toni went out of his way to make sure I enjoyed my stay. The Bar/Restaurant was constantly in use by the local Spanish people giving it a good atmosphere! I made use of the free underground parking If you are travelling South or North on this route- I would thoroughly recommend using this hotel. I was so made to feel welcome!!
Cons: Nothing not to like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, it’s modern and the staff are very good - only problem was breakfast this morning, very chaotic as no special arrangements made you just muck in with all the locals coming in for coffee, tapas etc.
Cons: See above.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: clean, quiet and comfortable (except for the chairs in our room!!) Good breakfast - all good value.
Cons: One reason for booking this hotel rather than others in the area, was the fact that it had a restaurant; we therefore were VERY upset, on arrival, to be told that the restaurant was shut "because they had had a busy weekend") They should remember that two guests on a Monday night are just as important as 20 over the weekend. It meant that, after a long drive to get there we had to drive out in the rain to get something to eat. Otherwise, the hotel was very good and my rating would probably have been 10.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Peace and quiet. Swimming pool brilliant (bit noisy). Casitas very comfortable and welcoming.
Cons: I could do without music at the swimming pool.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, breakfast, deco
Cons: It was very cold on the ground floor, except for the fireplace area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location ans the calm. Best place we stayed during our trip
Cons: Nothing! Todo perfecto!
7.5 Good
Pros: The accommodation was in a cabin type bungalow off the main road in the woods. It had a fire place and small kitchen.
Cons: The place was damp and cold on arrival and we had to order more wood which was wet and did smoke the place out. The floors were filthy and the kitchen very poorly equipped with minimal utensils and crockery. No kettle and a broken toaster which was replaced after complaining.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant rural setting very close to Aracena, wonderful little pastoral walking route near property, picturesque views with patio and garden, well-decorated and charming rooms, friendly staff and their very sweet pets. Overall memorable experience- would recommend to a friend!

Cons: There were no roadsigns and this accommodation was very hard to find.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The position of the hotel is stunning with views across the valley. We sat outside our room and watched vultures circling, kites and a dozen ravens. Idyllic. The breakfast was good and the evening meals were freshly cooked and delicious. Victoria was ever present and worked unbelievably hard. She was wonderful.
Cons: The double-glazed bathroom window had 6 inches of water inside it which was probably the source of the damp smell. Also, the light in the room was a little dim - not good enough to knit by.
7.9 Good
Pros: Remote and peaceful location yet only a five minute drive from Aracena centre.
Cons: Plumbing system very loud and soundproofing non existent. We could hear every word spoken in the next room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The situation was stunning, the staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was good but we do not eat chocolate donuts for breakfast!
Cons: Nothing to criticise apart from the lack of a fridge in the bedroom.
