Staff were very friendly and helpful, and had lovely views with a good location (though about a 10 minute walk into the main centre of Barmouth)
Castle with sea view
Eating in the dining room - excellent food and relaxing surroundings.
Lovely welcome, warm and cosey.Bed very comfortable.Views fantastic, food good. very clean...We will be back!! Slightly small bathroom but ok for 1 night.
My wife was on crutches and the owners and staff were very helpful and the food was excellent. It was a very relaxing time for us as we were very stressed when we arrived. We had alovely day on the Cambrian Line railway and went to Pwllheli. All in all a truly nice time was had by both of us.
Very friendly staff. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Lovely views from our top floor turret room. No bad points
friendliness of staff
Very comfortable. Very courtuesy staff. Very nice food. Nothing.
The location, availability of parking, peacefulness. I was disappointed to discover no face soap or body lotion provided. As these were always provided previously I had not brought my own so really didn't enjoy using liguid hand soap for my face. Also, the very flimsy shower curtains made the shower a less than pleasant experience - having them continuously clinging to my body while trying to shower, knowing that they likely had clung to the previous occupant of the room was quite disgusting.
Delightful, quircky hotel. Excellent customer service and food.
The location of M H offered a fantastic view and the rooms were beautifully decorated. Both the owners were personable and gracious. The food was also good. The third floor rooms did not have windows low enough to appreciate the view. The plumbing needs updating.
I liked the personal touches such as water and fruit in the room, caring things. No, it was very well presented
good value for momey exalent loveley people
The location is great, very quiet, just what we needed for a weekend away and the breakfast choices were brill and very tasty.
Breakfast was excellent. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable with a comfortable duvet. Following on from discussions with other guests I would recommend staying in Rooms 2 or 3 only. We knew that the room was an attic room but did not expect the shower to be so very cramped and to leak so badly. We were told on arrival that the people the prevous week had left the shower curtain outside the shower and so it had leaked. However this was not the case, the shower was faulty. Attic rooms are not necessarily so very small. I did not appreciate the frayed bath towel. I do not see how this room gained four star AA status. It was really a single room. The price did not reflect this.
Most splendid views, very comfortable room and delicious breakfast
The situation Bedroom & shower room small
Everything...food comfort and friendliness of staff
The upgrade to our room with the sea view from the bedroom. Nothing - we had a very pleasant stay.
Friendly owners. Excellent location. Superb breakfast.nice little touches.
The owners are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel like home.amazing food, beautiful views, great location of the hotel. All in all the best b&b I have stayed so far and believe me, I stayed in lots of places. Also, Barmouth is a great place to stay for a short break in Wales. No bad points really. The only tricky thing is the drive to the hotel but once you reach it,you won't regret it!
the views from the room were brilliant, cleanliness and drinks availabality in the room, david and heather were very nice the tight turn into the driveway and not being able to book an evening meal
The veiw from the bedrooms and staff plus the food
Will book again next year, great value and lovely hosts
Location was ideal, the staff were friendly and helpful, the guest house was well kept with excellent facilities, personal touches meant a lot and the view from our room was breathtaking.
Outstanding view from room. Clean and best decor. Good breakfast. None
The Guest House was very clean, well appointed and comfortable. The owners were very friendly. Nothing.
I liked the spectacular views from the bedroom and dining room. Also the hearty Welsh breakfast. Walks can be done from the guest house front door and with the train station nearby you do not need a car. The room was comfortable and spacious. Minor things were the shower being a bit pokey and a slightly less than comfortable mattress.
The location had excellent views and if you like walking you could do numerous walks direct from the hotel without using your car.
the view from the room. n/a
Very Comfortable. Lots of nice finishing touches. Nothing springs to mind.
We enjoyed the tranquility of the hotel and the stylish presentation. Also the orama of lillies was distinctive and the very comfortable room was most enjoyable Two of us had duckling which was badly cooked rendering it tough. Our TV would not work and we asked for help. However when we tried to turn it in again it would not work. The problem was that it was old epquipment that did not work properly. Our radio was not programmed in so we could not get any programmes a except static.
I was not very impressed with the cleanliness of the room it was fithy I have taken photographs as evidence and will be complaining directly to the hotel. I was advised by your staff that we would receive a luxury room of 32sqmtr this was not the case when I asked on booking about breakfast in bed was advised yes and that on arrival we could only have continental breakfast. The breakfast was awful bacon so crispy that if I put my fork into it it would have shattered all over the restaurant, scrabbled eggs not cooked properly. The prices for the three course evening meal was disgusting £40.00 per head. Bar prices were ridiculous how can you justify a pint of Budweiser and a Jim Beam and Pepsi total price £10.20 riciculous. staff attentive and friendly and communal rooms comfortable bedroom too small and I would have expected a larger than 4'6" bed, the unusual request by the waitress for the time of your appearance at breakfast. The food was tasty but chefs appear to try too hard combine food tastes.
Very nice location. All public rooms very well presented and staff friendly None
The whole experience of staying in an old manor house with oak panelling everywhere, creaking floorboards, characteristic furniture and decor, and a romantic and relaxing atmosphere in such a beautiful setting. Excellent cuisine and wine list in the restaurant
A great hotel with beautiful gardens, superb interiors, calm location, convenient access to both mountains and the see, excellent meals and hospitality of staff. I am confident to recommend this hotel to anybody who would like to enjoy relaxed holiday.
Comfortable room with lovely view of the estuary. Excellent staff and super breakfast.
The building - great atmosphere, the location, the food and attentive staff. Room got cold at night. Reception area not always manned - sometimes had to walk about to find someone.
Beautiful hotel, stunning location and grounds. Very friendly staff. Only fault I can find is that the toilet in our room made an awful noise when flushed (trapped air in the system I think?!)
