Nice outdoor seating for sitting and talking, very comfortable beds and nice linens!, good location, shuttle is a good idea even though it was out of service the night we were there. Very nice hotel!
Comfortable beds and clean sheets.
No vent fan in bathroom. Breakfast was not prepared for full hotel number of guests, had to wait 10 min for eggs. Say you are green hotel, but don't have enough towel racks to hang up towels instead of leaving them on the floor. One elevator not enough for whole building.
First, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The complimentary coffee was the best I've ever had at any motel but the cookie was not. Because our room was on the top (5th) floor right next to the elevator we were a bit apprehensive, but we heard nothing. It was very quiet. The beds were also quite comfortable. The breakfast was surprisingly well done with different styles of eggs offered each day of our four day stay. The staff was attentive and there were always clean tables available. The desk clerk recommended a NY style pizza restaurant and his recommendation was spot on. It was just a small hole-in-the-wall but the pizza was great as was the wait staff. Anywhere you wanted to go, just ask the clerks. They provided written directions with an address and a map. And the motel location was just about 10 minutes from anywhere: downtown, visitor's center, Biltmore mansion, Blue Ridge Parkway. We were very pleased overall.
The heater/AC unit in the room was controlled by a thermostat on the wall that was very difficult to see and even more difficult to use. It was hard to get it to respond and harder to find a comfortable setting. I guess it was one of those "smart" thermostats but it sure out-smarted me.
There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room, which was unexpected and handy. Everything was clean and super comfortable. The staff was very friendly!
