Room was great, very spacious and well appointed but a little dated. Staff was excellent. Perhaps it was the downtown location but the street noise, even in an upper level room was very noticeable.
Huge room, but almost too big (not cozy). Staff is super friendly. Location, Location, Location! Nice touch that you get water/champagne upon arrival and a goodie back of water and snack bars for ride home. Free internet. Free breakfast at attached cafe which is decent. Was nice not to feel nickel and dimed. Dated furniture (but it is very well maintained).
Location couldn't be better!! Staff is very welcoming, and the spacious accommodations allowed us to spread out and never feel cramped. Comfy bed. Plenty of drapes to block light and really sleep in if you wish. The adjacent bier garden is a bonus if you want to watch sports, and the bartenders are very friendly.
Location was great. Pet friendly. Comfortable bed. Bathrooms were in desperate need for an update
Great location, close to downtown Nice bar in the lobby everyone was friendly Shower pressure was terrible Elevator was so loud I felt sorry for the people in the 45 rooms down from it Seemed like
Location is great, staff are very helpful. Fabulous location if you want to walk into downtown Asheville. However it's not as nice as the normal 4 Points - everything is clean but a bit outdated.
Very good location with accessible parking. Hotel is nice. Excellent value compared to others downtown. Not the most updated rooms.
I loved that the location was close and everything was within walking distance. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The hotel was very loud, due to the activities and families staying there, but it made it difficult to sleep because every sound traveled through the walls at all hours.
It was in a good location to walk to downtown restaurants and breweries if you enjoy the hippie scene that downtown Asheville has to offer. The fire alarms went off in the middle of the night on and off for an hour. When I called the desk to ask if there was an emergency the concierge seemed oblivious to the fact that it was the middle of the night and all of the guests were being woken up by loud alarms. He was entirely unapologetic-- and there was no emergency. Every time I was about to fall back asleep the alarm went off again. Not what I'm looking for when I'm on vacation.
The room was a good size. They allowed pets. The crib was well built. The linens were very clean. We were put in the first room on the bottom floor. It was very loud. It was hard for our 13 month old to sleep and even too loud for us to sleep. The staff wasn't very nice. They almost seemed upset that the hotel was full with evacuees. We had to call the main number to get a group discount applied. The onsite manager had refused to give it to us.
The site is a step down from a Hampton. It's liveable but basic in all regards. Clanking noises all night, I think from pipes. Water took no kidding 10 minutes to warm up, not hot. Very very little water pressure. It was clean, cheap but I expected more in this space. Not doing a 100% renovation really hurts the Sheraton brand here. Lovely warm staff. Older building, old infrastructure. I wasn't unhappy but it could be much better if they invested in the property.
The room was clean They mentioned the free bottle of water in the room....hopefully that is enough because there isn't any more anywhere. 1 floor has vending, almost everything sold out. Also shower didn't work right. Not the worst by far but definitely way too much for what you get.
Nice location to downtown, we were able to walk to everything we wanted to do downtown. The room was fine, however there was a load machine sound in the hallway, someone called our room thinking they were calling the front desk, and housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:30am. The curtains had stains on them making us wonder....
The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom sink counter too small
Crummy gym, continental breakfast
Comfy beds. Spacious room and bathroom. If you option out of turn down service, you get a 5$ voucher to use in the bar. Awesome way to incorporate staying "green." The shower could've used a keener eye during cleaning. But wasn't all too bad. The only issue I had was you could hear not only when a neighbor shut their door, but also the neighboring rooms when theit window blinds are open or shut.
Everything, no complaints.... Staff is great! Very helpful. n/a
Nice accommodations, friendly staff, pet friendly, extremely convenient to restaurants and the Orange Peel music venue.
The room set up. The location. Comfort. We only stayed one night. The light and fan in bathroom were on the same switch, Minor issue.
The location, the in house bar, the roof top pool, balcony. A little pricey for the room, the bathroom was a little difficult to for my girlfiend to get ready in.
The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice and modern. Right in the heart of downtown Asheville with a nice view. The room wasn't very clean. There were questionable spots on the bench that looked like bodily fluid (ew), and stains on the carpet. The room wasn't terribly quiet, and I probably wouldn't have stayed there if I knew they allowed full size dogs.
Location, staff, and rooms The noise level in our hotel room was unbelievable. We were informed that there was a family with 4 children under the age of 8 in the king room above us! I found it unbelievable especially since I had requested a quiet room for my birthday. This obviously did not happen and we found ourselves moving rooms at 11:00 pm! Great hotel but terrible noise insulation in rooms.
Amazing Hotel. Staff wasn't what I expected for such a high-end hotel. No offer to help with bags or reservations around town. Friendly, just not what I expcted from a $500 p/night hotel.
The Windsor is a beautiful hotel with everything you need on the inside with everything you would want to do within walking distance. I would highly recommend the Windsor for a getaway weekend for couples.
Loved the rustic atmosphere. Staff was super-friendly. Loved that we could open our windows (third floor) onto the street and listen to and watch the city. Very clean and comfortable.
Nice hotel and good location. Lots of police/fire sirens during the middle of the night. Fan in the room was very loud. I booked a king bed through Kayak and Kayak reserved us a queen room. Hotel was booked when we arrived and couldn't switch rooms. First time using Kayak... Not impressed sine I payed for a king room.
- Room was clean - Bed was comfortable - Staff was nice - Walking distance to downtown Asheville - No water pressure in the shower. After a rough 3 day film shoot I wanted only two things. A good night sleep and a long hot steamy shower. The bed was comfortable and I slept well, but the shower was a joke. I'm not exaggerating. The water doesn't even shoot out in a straight line, it just drizzles out of the shower head. Took me about half an hour to get shampoo out of my hair. - Breakfast is not included in the room price and it's not very good. You're better off going somewhere else for breakfast.
