the hotel looks very nice from the outside. The rooms are big enough but very ordinary and standard The hotel room was overlooking the street, it was too noisy because of the cars passing. Everage restaurant.
Friendly staff, good room with character poor internet access and low lighting!
Breakfast was reasonable, rooms were clean and comfortable. I did not like being called by the hotel staff at 9.35am because i was 5 minutes late for breakfast. I did not like the cleaner trying to get into my room while i was getting ready for breakfast at 9.25am.
Hotel was nice, food was good Isolation not that good: could hear cars down the street, I did hear people in the hall.
A beautiful, historic inn now run mainly as a businessman's hotel, seemingly for visiting delegations for the immense number of automotive firms around Stuttgart (Porsche HQ is about 3 miles away). The lady at breakfast cooked an egg to order, and remembered what I wanted for the next day without asking. I think the owners might be the most pleasant innkeepers I've ever met. The on-premises restaurant was a little pricey for me (with the weak dollar, the meal was about $30) but I don't complain because the food was exceptional. Rooms were very worn. I know this is an odd thing to say since the building is a few centuries old, but there was mildew coating the showers and cigarette burns on carpet and you can immediately tell that there is a relentless procession of people just like me coming through.
the excellent service and frienly staff who remember your name and try to fullfill special requests.
