I liked the staff and the price they charged me for 10-day stay. Walking distance to shopping and attractions.
The hotel is very clean and good value for money, also it is very close to a subway station. 6th floor rooms have a very nice view.
The hotel is pretty old, could use some renovating. The area isn't so good but we didn't have any problems, not even late at night. The swimming pool on the roof is 1m deep and the size of a big hot tub :)
Its location, the metro station was nearby and it was near the city centre of the city but away from the city centre hassle
The hotel needs inside renovation
Clean and nice, good price for the double room, close to the subway.Breakfast ok.
The double rooms are twin rooms, not double. The air conditioning bad, very hot in the room, forced to leave it on during the night. The pool too small, closing too early (11 pm).
good location, friendly staff
the pool was tiny and unusable, also the room was small with very bad AC
Not the safest location after dark. Shower primitive. Air conditioner not powerful enough for Athens in August.
The Candia is very convenient being on a major street and very close to Larissa station for the Metro (or suburban/national rail links should you need them) the staff are friendly and helpful, and the views (particularly from the roof terrace/pool) are exceptional, especailly at night.
the only disadvantage to think of is perhaps traffic or train noise given its proximity to both, but this was only a minor issue during our stay.
It was one kind person at this hotel and he works in the reception. He take good care of his guests and was really helpful.
The service from the staff was really bad. In the information it says that the hotel has a good restaurant but it was closed. Breakfest was no good. Tee and coffee was cold and weak. The bar was closed already 9.30 in the evening. The cleaning was bad.
Excellent breakfast, Good value for many.Walking distance to Metro - Larissa Station. Many thanx to George the receptionist was very helpful who kindly moved me to a lovely double beded room with large balcony overlooking the Acropolis and giving me all the directions going to Piraeus to visit the Marinas. Thanx for Paskas for ringing me a taxi going back to the Airport.
Small Bathroom, noise outside the hotel near to the road and metro, 30 mins away from the Airport taxi will cost 40 - 45Euros.
