The staff, plentiful car parking and the facilities Too expensive
Friendly Staff, Spacious Room, Excellent Food The toilet in the room was blocked, wodges of hair in bath overflow, uncoordinated service in the restaurant, cheeseboard was old and stale.
Food was excellent, especially at the wedding reception
We were over for the wedding of Steven and Tara Boeg, the hotel staff were lovely and the food was excellant. No
The food and accommodation were of a high standard A bit pricey, considering that similar guests were charged much less with food included
Comfort value No
Friendly staff who could speak English, great Pint in the Bar, nice ambience about the place. My Car been damaged.
Modern,clean hotel.Good location & parking.Large room,very comfortable bed. Excellent shower,good breakfast.
Rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Attended a wedding party. The food was a bit bland. Room for improvement I think.
The room was spacious. The breakfast was very poor, not exactly worth getting out of bed early for.
Great old building, excellent spa and gym facilities Staff at reception were quite disinterested and unhelpful when I made a couple of small request.
The location was very beautiful and accessible. We were at a wedding and had a really good time. The bars were well staffed - including the residents bar afterwards. Missed breakfast in the morning - 10.30 is a bit early to finish serving after a wedding.
the staff were very helpful and the food was excellent there was no problem whatsoever in looking after my husband who is coelic would stay there again
Good facilities, very good Leisure centre. Food in the bar was excellent and room very comfortable. Good value for money. Long walk to the bedrooms.
The luxurious outer Appearance
I have worked in the industry for 20 years you do credit to yourselves well done .
we were at a wedding and the food was excellent as was the service, pity about the ongoing works outside the hotel were the smoking room should have been. bedrooms, location of rooms, signs for bedrooms, being told that we were being upgraded i would have loved to have seen the original room to have an idea as to what we were being upgraded from, room cost 170euro not exactly value for money. yes and no for below
The surroundings are beautiful. The hotel itself is lovely. The food was beautiful. And the spa was wonderful The service in the restaurant was appalling
Lovely friendly hotel. Excellent leisure club.
NIce place, quite and clean. Awesome gym in the premises.
Helpful staff good facilities.
Charging extra for the car park seems a bit harsh. The heating in the rooms and corridors was extremely hot and woke me up at 5am.Could not get back to sleep. The bar in the hotel is very very grubby and overall I suppose I cant give out too much as we were only charger €69 for the room on a Sat nite.Plus car park dont forget. But very over rated and perhaps a 4 star claim is a bit cheeky.
The room was spacious and well equipped. The bed extremely comfortable.
The staff were excellent. unfortunately two of our group were charged different prices for their single rooms they were both booked over the phone prices were 75euro and 110euro we asked about it when we paid our bill but got no satisfaction that was the only complaint we had.
Sleep in a bed after 2 nights camping at the Electric Picnic!
a nice 4 stars hotel even if nothing special. Average good nothing special
Pool was ok. Noise from the street can be heard clearly inside room even with window closed. Staff are a bit gruff. Had bottled water brought to room, it came up warm, no ice. Corridors stink of smoke, they could sure ventilate a bit better. Cigarette burns in net curtains. Far too expensive for the quality of room, even though they call it a 'deluxe' room.
Rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast very nice. Italian in the hotel and hotel in general dealt very well for coeliacs with gluten free bread and pasts in the italian and gluten free bread at breakfast. Only one of the restaurants were open for dinner which was a little restrictive versus what was advertised
The great location, friendly staff, and nice rooms. Some things were a bit odd. There was no shower curtain; so the bathroom floor became a lake every night. The staff were unable to tell me how much a local call cost, or how much a call to the US would cost. Requiring shower caps for the pool is silly.
Hotel facilities Everything was fine.
Easy access. Spacious roo Room decor too dark. Bar tables need re-coating very badly stained
Large room, Flat screen tv with sky Sports and a great view ot the countryside Nothing
I stayed at the hotel on the 11/11/10. The staff were all very friendly but there was one particular gentleman who worked in the bar ( he was dressed in a suit so I am assuming he was a bar manager) who was very professional and attentive to all of the guests. Its people like this who help to make a hotel stand out and that is why I will be returning to stay at the hotel again with my family.
We were there for a wedding- the function room was lovely and we had a great meal. Rooms were lovely and a good size. Bar and Bistro food was excellent.
Easy to get to with safe ample parking Window in room not closing,no drinking water in room
When we left the next morning Unfriendly staff, poor food
Food & service good, staff friendly & helpful.
The bed had no duvet only a thorw over, a blanket and a sheet. The heating in the room was only a radiator which could be controlled by the guest but was also centrally controlled through the heating system by the hotel. Therefore the heating was turned off by the hotel late at night.
The Talbot hotel is an excellent hotel.. all the hotel and bar staff were so friendly. i would definitely stay with the talbot again. the rooms are gorgeous.
Room, staff, value for money The breakfast can be improved by at least adding hard and sof cheeses. When asking for a DVD-player, none were available. however, we got free pay-TV as compensation but unfortunatelly my children wanted to watch their own films.
I have stayed in /dined in many hotels in Europe and the USA and I think that the staff in the Heritage were the best ever. While very busy the bar staff were nothing but helpful and good humoured. A passing staffmember(pushing a laden trolly of bottled water) heard me say that I was taking the lift while my friend opted for the stairs, stopped, took out his key card and called the lift for me. Now thats what I call service. The room was good. the food was good but it is the staff that will bring me back. booked a twin room on line and thought the confirmation of a super king was in reference to the size of room and not the bed. This took a while to sort out and we missed a swim before dinner as a result. After a day at the ploughing this would have been nice. But it was all well otherwise and got a swim in the morning
On this occasion I was only staying one night, however, the staff made me feel that they knew me, and treated me as if I was there for a month. They had no choice of newspaper available.
comfort and luxurious rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Was not there long enough to use spa.
The staff at the hotel were excellent. Breakfast was also very good The shower in my bathroom was broken - you shouldn't have to point out maintenance issues to a 5 star hotel
A very nice complex, Furniturings & Fitting fabulous, vases to die for, space every where,Staff excellent, very pleasant & willing to please, loved the tray of cooled water with lemon & lime slices added, in the foyer of the hotel PS. the chocolates & the bottle water left in our room every night was much appreciated The only thing I would have fault with was the square tables &red velvet chairs in the dinning room which the breakfast buffet was set up in, you could'nt get your chair pulled in far enough because of the bar on the table which your knees hit of, me beening a small person I had to sit forward on the chair which ment my back had no support
Staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was lovely and a good choice of a few restaurants.
The room was large with 2 comfortable armchairs, so many hotels have only 1! The bathroom was great with a very roomy shower & separate big bathtub with robes & slippers. The breakfast was very good too. The staff we met were friendly & helpful.
the hotel's ambience was very nice, the food was excellent, the rooms were top notch and the staff were friendly and helpful
Range of facilities and comfort of stay Bar food could improve
The friendly atmosphere and the pool!! The room was also very comfortable and it was quiet. Thank you It was a shame the Spa only opens from Friday to Sunday - we went into Clanes.
The fabolous rooms and the food in the restaurant is brilliant. On the menu in the restaurant it says chips are served with the steak. We got three chips with ours and had to request more.
The staff were very helpful and polite - if I had a query it was dealt with quickly. I requested a Twin room but was put into a Double, though was moved to a Twin when I pointed this out. Also, the telephone in the first room did not work, which was very annoying when I wasn't in the kind of room I'd booked.
Nice hotel, good staff n/a
the facitities where excellent the staff couldn't do enough think the price should include breakfast
Spacious public areas, gym and large pool Dark room with small window and inadequate lighting Dark restaurant, which felt very enclosed owing to design of interior panels (completely unnecessary)
Very clean and friendly No bad points
Staff very friendly & the service was excellent rooms were very clean & comfortable n/A
I enjoyed my stay at your hotel it is ideal for a wedding. Thank you.
It was an excellent hotel ideally placed for our visit to the Punchestown Festival. Food was excellent, room was spacious and the leisure centre first class. Defintely recommended and first class value
Room was comfortable,Food excellent, Staff friendly Cleanliness of Hotel was excellent. The fact that the room backed on to the motorway and could not open the window because of traffic noise
Staff very friendly Noisy outside at night
We went down as a family for New Year's celebrations, they asked for kids to be removed from the bar area at 10pm. No entertainment on, which would have been nice for New Year's
we were only booked in for one night but the rooms were good and the gardens pretty. We were unanble to make use of the gym.We were with my daughter, husband and toddler from Arazona and they were attending a wedding in Durrow, so we met them in Dublin from South Africa to look after our grandson, and show our daughter around Dublin. Her grandmother was born and schooled in Dublin and we are all fortunate to travel on Irish passports as a result. Good excuse to see the family. The Hotel was really ideal for our needs and the location was perfect.
near to highway, good restaurant and spa ok too expensive for a hotel at the highway
very nice pool and well equipped fitness center, welcoming staff, large parking area, good restaurant, close to motor way for easy access to continue one's trip.. Great value for the money nothing comes to mind
Staff were very pleasant, decor was good. The hot water at all times was only just luke warm, the walls seem to have no sound insulation so very noisy and the restaurant stops serving at 9pm on Friday evening, so when we arrived at just after, unable to eat.
The pool not being available to my kids on Saturday evening
The barman downstairs was very friendly and chatty. It was a sunday evening and after a long drive up on a dark wet night was hoping wec would get something to eat at the hotel, even a sandwich but they had no food, finished serving really early that day. this was at 8pm.
The lord edward is a great place to stay if you are in the kildare area. the room itself is spotless with basic amenities , tv shower , tea/coffee making, There was no bad points
convenent and value for money the breakfast had an excellent range of choice the staff were very helpful
Beautiful, spacious, clean room. Very comfortable.
The woman who checked us in was extremely helpful and friendly. She went above and beyond our expectations. This was our first stop on our vacation and was a very positive experience. Unfortunately can not remember her name but she was from Poland and newly married...excellent!!! Central location in town, easy walking distance to most locations!
Was not expensive .Cleaning lady very friendly.Staff in bar friendly there was no reception ,bar attached to it ,checked in at the bar.We had children, looked forward to a quiet drink when kids in bed not that sort of place. No sound proofing between rooms.
location - close to town centre
Very clean, functional and comfortable, not a hotel though.
very large clean bedrooms, great meal in Chapter 16 having to cross to pub to collect keys and long wait for breakfast (which was excellant)
Location and price were good and room was nice no
Very friendly staff, room spotless, great breakfast None
We were only there for one night. Nothing to say. We were with a Wedding Party, and the next morning we had to wait for a table for breakfast. Even the Bride & Groom were asked to wait for a table.
The location of the hotel and the reception staff gave us good advise on where to eat. no
The food was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly. I found the hotel very expensive though.
Food in Bar was good. Menu in Restaurant was on the pricey side. There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel. It was clean, comfortable and easy to find.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and very willing to make the stay as enjoyable and pleasing as possible. Facilities and room were also very pleasant
a really pleasant stay would stay again
Hotel was excellent value for money and great location, thouroughly enjoyed our stay at Seven Oaks.
I thought the reception staff were very friendly and helpful as were the bar staff and anyone else we had dealing with.
Good location and great bedroom Price of room a bit to expensive
Access to the gym
Absolutely everything no
It is located in a charming little riverside village with a wonderful staff and truly lovely amenities in the Hotel.
Lovely bedroom and excellent en suite facilities
Our triple-room was a great size, and well appointed. On-site bar and restaurant serverd great tucker, and was unpretentious. No mini bar in room.
the staff were friendly and the meals were very good in a lovely little village. set on a lovely marina. the extra bed in our triple room was very uncomfortable. that was the only fault we found it a lovely hotel.
Suite we had was lovely Air con and bed great. Staff perfect. Thoughtful and very friendly. No
Location of Hotel and size of room. Also modern bar and deck on to the river. Lack of air conditioning. Our room overlooked extractor ducting which was very noisy and we could not leave the windows open. Room was very hot and stuffy as a result.
Fantastic suite (kehoe) great "Pub Grub" filled a hungry rugby player. and good atmosphere in the bar. Full Irish breakfast wasnt as full as it could have been and rather greasy, eggs were either hard fried or hard poached, probably pre cooked instead of to order, fresh ones; still overcooked arrived ages later as the rest of us finished our breakfast though other guests were still being served their cooked breakfasts. Good coffee.
It was a nice quiet hotel and vert roomy, we were there for a wedding and the size of the function room was excellent no i thought the hotel was lovely and very well kept
The comfort of the rooms and the location
The friendliness of the owners who were always hands on for your every need, guided us to shops, restaraunts and bars in the area. A very pleasant stay.
Parking available free of charge, very safe. Staff very welcoming, breakfast lovely, rooms spacious, location perfect (right in centre of town) perfct for the price, rooms were nice and warm and staff were very friendly and accomodating
The proprietor was a lovely man and the breakfast was delicious. The room was also very comfortable. reasonable price too.
Service was first class, I was given my key and shown around and and i had free secure parking. at the back of the premises I cant think of anything i didnt like, breakfast was good, shower was hot, bed was comfy. What more could you ask for
The lovely owners waited for us until very late that day. They were very welcoming and lovely to deal with. I would definetely stay there again. Great location and great value for money.
The staff were very nice and helpfull, the brekfast was also very nice. The room was a little cold!
