A comfortable but small room in the heart of Atlanta. Rooms are nicely appointed--fine for business travelers or couples needing to head into the city. Great location.
It's an older property with smaller rooms--that being said, the rooms are clean and nicely appointed. Not a lot of frills, that I could see, but certainly a comfortable place to stay.
Warm, wonderful staff.
Cost of parking.
The location is good and the beds are comfortable.
The curtains were shredded. There is no fridge, microwave. There were no vending machines. The room was mostly clean. The price was high for the accomodations. Parking not included and expensive.
The location was great, shower was nice, bed was comfy and the robes were an awesome material. Could use update in interior decor.
The countertops were not even wiped down, the room was cramped.
Staff was very friendly Location was great for a convention nearby
Entire building smelled moldy AC intermittent and drafty Toilet was leaking on the floor - I told them it had already gotten under the carpet and I could smell the mold - all I got was a "we're booked up" response. Room never cleaned up even by 2:45PM Lamps were sticky - not very clean. Internet down for about a half day. Not a great experience - especially when traveling for business,
great value, walk in shower, modern and the entire staff was very friendly & helpful
would prefer to eat on the 2nd floor terrace
The rooms were clean and lush with plenty of small comforts like extra towels. I was, according to my roommate, asleep in seconds after hitting my pillow. Staff members were cheerful, respectful, intelligent, and able to adapt to situations as needed. There was a full gym, which I did not expect (I figured a couple of treadmills, tops), and a nice-sized computer/business room. The restaurant's breakfast offerings were varied, so that even my limited diet was catered to, and deliciously so. The chicken strips during the evening wine hour were also quite tasty, and my roommate says the wine was lovely. All in all a lovely experience. MAJOR props to housekeeping.
The property was nice, but it was the staff that made this a superior place to staff. Each and every person that I dealt with were very friendly and helpful.
Modern. Good food. Friendly staff.
No room service. Was unable to contact front desk from my room
The hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Atlanta, and is right across the street from a MARTA stop, making it easy to get around town. The price on Kayak, only $90 a night, made it easily the cheapest hotel in the area. However, I would be disappointed if I had paid full price ($140 and up) for the stay.
The room was fairly small and cramped, the doors opened in on the bathroom and made it very difficult for two people to comfortably stand in front of the mirror. We reserved two nights, and the morning after the first night we had people coming to our door and calling the room, asking if we were "staying an extra night." It turns out they had misread the reservation and thought it was only one night. Some of the staff were very nice, but it was a little offputting to feel like we were being asked to leave when we had the room reserved. Overall, the hotel was okay, but I wouldn't be too excited to stay again.
Slow internet speed
Staff was very friendly and accommodating, even provided us with earplugs while we were going out to a rather loud concert. The bed was very comfortable as well.
Makeup stains on the towels, TV had static lines running through the display, shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor despite taking 4 cumulative showers (no user error).
Nice location and nice rooms.
the staff wasn't the greatest, i went out late at night and couldn't get back in, the worker saw me standing outside at 4am and just looked at me. then slowly came over to open the door while rolling her eyes. Also the parking was terrible. You have a choice between valet for $28 a day or a garage for $6 a day that turns into $32 if you keep your car there overnight.
The rooms are well furnished and beds very comfortable. Public spaces look a little worn compared to rooms. Bathrooms are great with walking shower, upscale products and quality towels. Great desk work area as well. Staff very friendly and helpful
The staff was very friendly and the location was good.
Well, it was very busy, Some corporate function had overtaken the hotel. The room was okay but my husband and I couldn't get a room with a king sized bed, so we slept in a double. I felt like I should rearrange the room as soon as I walked in. There were already dirty towels in the bathroom and no soaps or shampoos. We also didn't have a bathmat and we did quickly received towels and shampoos. The elevator was on its own schedule. There were stinky dumpsters dropped off in the valet lane behind my car, so close that I couldn't open the tailgate. I thought it was too expensive for the return.
The freshness, cleanliness, staff, restaurant, green approach.
The business center needs faster internet and newer printers.
The Ellis Hotel was a very nice place to stay in the city. Very convenient location. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. Rooms were clean. I look forward to staying there again.
Everything was good!
One dollar wines at happy hour
The room was very dirty. Not from previous guests but overall care. Thick dust on the curtains along with the air vents. I could not tell but there may have even been dried blood on the drapes.
