Great location for the beach and the convention center. Lots of nice restaurants, although with the downturn in AC, they are not frequently open.
Atlantic City is a morgue. The hotel is really long in the tooth. I had an electrical outlet falling out of the wall in the bathroom. Paint was peeling from the ceiling in the shower. There was a round table but no desk. For a convention city, I would expect a desk.
No surprises, no problems. Comfortable and close to everything: the boardwalk and other casinos.

Double charged for parking. First room was smoke smelling, phone didn't work, and NOT a "quiet room" (right next to elevator is quiet room??). 2nd room was better. Wifi was extra charge but was told would be free. Very expensive

The room rates were very competitive. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the wifi was free, and we received up to $9 per person , per night for food. I received a nice spacious room with a view of the boardwalk, and the staff was courteous and friendly . We did enjoy our stay. The only reason we did not give the experience 4 stars was because the staff did not have the room ready upon arrival. we had to wait for about an hour. Overall a very good value.

There were several good things about my stay in this hotel: --Beachfront: it's located right on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, and it was incredibly easy to spend a day at the beach without worrying about finding parking, walking a long distance, etc. Location-wise, it doesn't get much better than this. --Parking: We received a parking voucher from the hotel and despite us being told it would reduce parking to $5, when I handed it to the parking assistant and it rang up as $5, she told me that it was covered. I still don't understand how or why, but I'll take it! --Cost: The room only set me back ~$111, including the (unnecessary) resort fee--see my 'cons' list for a more detailed commentary on this fee. --Casino: It wasn't crowded (especially the Wild West portion, which was like a graveyard), which I appreciated since I was only walking through it...not actually sitting down to gamble. I suppose this would be a con for gamblers, but I liked not having to navigate through crowds of people all the time. --Staff: The staff were mostly nice, with one exception (see 'cons' list regarding my attempted early check-in experience).
Several issues arose during the course of our overnight stay at Bally's: --Check-in time was quite late: 4pm. After arriving in the city several hours before this, I called Bally's to ask if I could check in early and was told by a girl named "Tracy/Tracie" that as long as I checked in after 1pm, no additional fee would be charged. I arrived at 2pm and after two employees conferred behind a closed door regarding my early check-in, one returned to tell me that no one by the name of Tracy/Tracie worked for Bally's, and that I wouldn't be allowed to check in early without paying $15. I skipped early check-in and didn't appreciate being lied to. --The $27 resort fee did not include pool usage, so what were we paying a resort fee for?! I understand that most casino-esque hotels charge a resort fee; I've stayed in Atlantic City and Las Vegas hotels plenty of times to know this. But this is the first time I felt the resort fee was quite high, yet didn't cover anything. --The beds in our Bally's Tower hotel room both had visible indentations in them, which didn't make for an especially comfortable night's sleep. Additionally, the room appeared incredibly dated, and the carpeting in the actual casino never appeared clean. And another (likely inebriated) hotel patron broke a beer bottle in the hallway outside of our room the night of our stay and there were glass shards everywhere. It still wasn't cleaned up when we left the next afternoon. There was also a room service tray in the middle of the hallway from another patron's room service dinner that sat there for the duration of our stay. It blocked most of the hallway and looked sloppy; I couldn't believe it wasn't picked up within 2 - 3 hours after their dinner! --Check-out was atrocious. The line was so long due to it including a mixture of people checking in and checking out. It took THIRTY MINUTES of standing in line before I was able to complete the two minute check-out process. I stayed at the Borgata the night before my stay at the Bally's and they were incredibly efficient with check-in/check-out since they employed three times the number of hotel representatives. The line moved very fast in the Borgata, and I didn't realize I should appreciate that until experiencing check-out at Bally's.
Location was very convenient and price was fair.
Rooms are very outdated. Beds were uncomfortable and the drawers on the dresser were nearly impossible to open. The pool was closed all day on our only full day there for a private party. If we had known that in advance we would have stayed elsewhere.

Use of the hotel pool and parking are not included in the daily resort fees. Bally's Lobby Bar is the only casino bar we have sat down to play & were charged for our drinks. Wild West Casino is pretty much empty now.... Definitely not as advertised. Poker room is set very far away from everything else. Rooms could use updated.
I liked everything at Bally's Atlantic City. Would definitely stay again.

The front desk staff was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I appreciated that security staff was very visible and accommodating with directions and assistance. My room had a great beach view. It was very spacious, comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely stay at Bally's in the future as I vacation in Atlantic City often. I would also recommend Bally's to friends or family members.

rooms were average it best they definitely need to be updated. resort itself also needs an update badly. luckily booked with kayak and got a decent rate compared to the rest of the online rates which was about 80 to 90 dollars cheaper than the other sites. if had paid the cost of the other sites would have been a total disappointment.
I loved the location, and the restaurant on the sixth floor. I also liked the scenery and the room itself. It was in a central location too, which helps.
That, for some reason, the people at the counter make a face when they saw the price we got the room for. The person we checked in with was a bit rude.

First I booked on booking.com. When trying to check in the hotel said booking cancelled my reservation, called booking to find out why. They told me casino cancelled due to not having card in hand. Of course they didn't because I was booking online. After an hour of standing in line and on phone with booking and dealing with counter person I got sent to a supervisor. The supervisor got me a room. I asked for NON-SMOKING since my elderly mother was with me and she has breathing problems. We got our key and headed to our room. We were asked to be patient because they were having trouble with the elevators, our room on 42 floor. When we finally reached our floor and got off the elevator I knew it was going down hill. There were food trays in all the hallways and the smell of smoke was super strong. We got into out room and the smell of smoke still present. In fact ashtrays were on the table. I was very frustrated at this point. As for the room, it was roomy but old, one outlet to plug stuff in and carpet felt wet the entire time. The next morning when we went to check out the food trays still in hallway. So I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. OLD, DIRTY and lots of hidden cost.
Loved the price and walking right onto the boardwalk! I can't say it was any kind of luxury but it was alright. The timer in the bathroom for the light was odd.

They were understaffed at check I and we had to wait almost 30 minutes to be checked in. At check in we were told that he elevators were under construction in our tower and we might experience delays. Delays was an understatement! We waited 20 minutes in a crowd of 15-20 people waiting for an elevator. Later we tried the service elevators to avoid this, and even the service elevators were impossibly crowded with people trying to get up or down. It was a disappointing experience and I wished we had chosen a different hotel. But having booked through Kayak, the reservation was pre-paid and non-refundable, so we were stuck.
The beginnings of going green. Complimentary drinks while gambling, servers very nice. Security was on their A game in the gambling area. Beds were bed bug free & comfortable. Loved we could walk right to the beach. Guest should be told not to bring food on the beach seagulls attacked us, was hit in the face by one. Beach was clean & nice. Actually got hot or cold water that maintained throughout shower. House keepers were very friendly. Was able to check in fast & check out fast. We were given suggestions on best times to ude elevators since 2 were broken. When we couldnt get an elevator at all, the house keeping let us down using the service elevator. Casino was not musty, or stinky like most. It made being able to gamble much more enjoyable. Beach bar was nice, liked the fact they had specials that were good. Took a long time for drinks but they were friendly. The non skid bathmat.
Rooms smelt like weed so much so when we opened the door we starting coughing & eyes burning. the machine didnt do much too help. They wouldn't change the one room that the machine did not work for. Our "ocean view" couldn't be seen unless you lean at the far side of the window. No black out curtains. Bathroom was large but strains of what I'm hoping was cleaner. White stains on the picture frames above the bed that look to have been bodily fluid. Dust on the accent molding on the wall. Very stuffy, sick, woke up with such a dry throat & nose had an allergic reaction to what I'm guess was mold because that's my only non food allergy. Ice machine was broken, was told it would be fixed but was not. Wifi wouldn't work with the access code. The resort fee was more than posted online & was never told what it included so the free parking, and broken wifi was not really free. Was never told about the pool, or a few other amenities. Fridge in room didnt keep anything cold. Couldn't use the safe. The bar cups being a non recycling plastic, not really green, but at least it meant no broken glass. Outlet locations in room was terrible & half did not work. Edging of the rugs coated in dust. Rooms were dated & did not match online pictures, which would have been fine it they were clean. It isn't all inclusive as you need to pay for pool, gym, ect. So what's that resort fee for? This was supposed to be special trip for my sister's bachorette party. Birds on the beach were vicious. Was attacked the second i touched my bag to get out my sandwich. Very obvious that they're being fed by humans (which is very unhealthly for these species of birds). They charged us, went in our purses & bags. We were physically hit by them again & again as they flew into us, i was hit in the face. Life guards did nothing even though it happened right next to them. There should be signs & rules to enforce no feeding them so they eventually unlearn this behavior.
