8.8 Excellent
Pros: Check in was very friendly and the host makes you feel very welcome. Room is spacious and shower is hot. Breakfast was good, host tried very hard to accommodate you in your needs. If it wasn't on the table all you had to do was ask and he'd make sure it would be. The accommodation is situated in a lovely old house with a beautiful garden. We're from the city and like these little houses. The room, including the bathroom were very clean and looked brand new. Although during our visit the weather didn't permit it I'm sure we'd otherwise would've spend our time sitting outside as the place is quiet and has a peaceful atmosphere.
Cons: Wi-fi was terrible. After mentioning this the host explained how a better service just wasn't available yet but the next morning he apologized and said that while we were there it was slow beyond any means and the next morning it was much better. The bed was too small for us, although me and my girlfriend are both very tall, which doesn't help much either. The bathroom with toilet is located in the room and although it's behind a wall, the walls don't go up to the ceiling meaning you can still smell whatever activities your partner is doing there. Still, these are minor issues and would not be a reason to skip this acommodation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place to stay, off the beaten track but worth the drive. Really lovely features in the room and great advantage of having kitchen downstairs, where we ate dinner and chatted with other residents. Breakfast was outstanding! Really friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend staying here!
Cons: Nothing, really great place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very plentiful - more than we could eat - 3 types of bread, croissants, cake as well as fruit and muesli. Fredericke was very welcoming and helpful - carried in our bags, put freezer blocks in his freezer etc. There is use of the kitchen for doing an evening meal if one wanted to. A fridge can be used for own food which can be eaten in the garden or covered way. The bedrooms are very imaginably designed and hand crafted.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like
10.0 Excellent

My travelling companion is in a wheel chair and his room had an excellent bathroom that could accommodate his chair. There is plenty of space to park in the farm yard directly outside the door to the annex. The host provided lots of apple juice. Breakfast was cheese and bread and juice and things like that.
Cons: I wished we had eggs for breakfast I wish the room with the disabled loo / shower was a twin room and then my mate can ask for assistance in the night if he needed it. As it happened the room I was in was close by and I could hear him quietly knocking (this was a universal problem everywhere we stayed)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a find! We wanted just an overnight stay on our way back home from the South of France. This was great, easy to find from the A26, and then just an hour and a half away from Calais the next day. Mélanie, the hostess, could not have been more welcoming, and the dinner she prepared for us (we’d pre-ordered a meal) was superb; homemade, fresh ingredients, all local, some from her own garden. It was restaurant standard and delicious. The best meal we’d had all holiday, to be honest! Our room was clean, beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was just as good as dinner had been - far too much food for us, but excellent quality and all in all, wonderful value for money. We intend to go back next time we visit France.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very unique hotel. We liked the concept of this facility.
Cons: The bedding and towels are washed with a scented laundry detergent. The smell bothered my wife tremendously. I suggest the owners attempt to use scent free detergent as lots of people now cannot handle perfume scents.

Pros: Good size bedroom and bathroom comfy bed Kitchen and dining overlooking the lovely garden. Good selection for breakfast more than you could eat.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was lovely. The accommodations perfect and the beds were comfy. My only ask or recommendation would be to provide a fan for the upstairs bedrooms as the airflow was minimal. That aside, I would completely recommend this quaint little gem of a gite.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful little hotel with an individual style (think Poirot....). Gorgeous garden and a little oasis. Perfect location for exploring battlefields. The staff could not have been kinder or more welcoming and helpful -even down to the owner driving us to the station which was way over and above necessity. Sadly being August and a Sunday the restaurant was closed as the food is meant to be good ...the breakfast however was delicious and started early which was great for us. Thank you Hotel Beatus, we will be back.
Cons: Nothing. It was brilliant
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our second visit to Hotel Beatus at the start of our European Tour. Lovely small, friendly hotel with a gorgeous garden in a setting that makes you forget you are on a main road! Fabulous history in the hotel of the WWI First Tank Battle. Restaurant is of a high standard serving good food.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was very well appointed. Room was very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was an all you can eat buffet, and really set you up for the day. The location of the hotel is fantastic - it sits in its own garden, so you hardly know you are in the town of Cambrai at all. The owner (Philippe) even drove me to the railway station himself on my final day in Cambrai - wouldn't let me call a taxi!
Cons: Nothing - enjoyed everything about the hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The garden was delightful. And we were able to enjoy a pre-dinner and post dinner drink. A co-owned restaurant 2 minutes walk was pleasant.
Cons: We booked for the garden and in house restaurant and bar. But the restaurant was closed to guests because of a regular private appointment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A small hotel in beautiful gardens just a short walk from the town. It was quiet and very comfortable, with a lovely restaurant. The food was excellent and very welcoming after travelling for many hours.
Cons: Everything was as expected.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: What a treasure to find! The whole experience was lovely from start to finish. Friendly welcome, excellent restaurant and a comfy bed. Phillipe was a delight and hugely generous with his extensive knowledge of WW1, including Deborah.

4.3 Okay
Pros: Not much
Cons: The website said the room was for 3 people. When we arrived the rooms could comfortably cater for 4 people. We had 7 in our party so we booked 3 rooms. Once we inspected the rooms we advised staff we only wanted two rooms. After lengthy discussion we still had to pay for part of the 3rd room which was never used. Very unfair as the advertising was misleading. This needs to be addressed. We would certainly like a refund.

6.3 Good
Pros: I liked the largest apartment. I did not like the wi fi inconvenience. Plus I did not like the surprise that it was not a regular type hotel....booking .com should have mentioned it was a retirement home in which some rooms are rented. Plus the drive gate was an bit of questions challenge. The staff was great and tried to help in every way.
Cons: See abve

Pros: This is a beautifully restored house with interesting and authentically decorated rooms. It is close to the train station and the city centre.
Cons: It isn’t a hotel and, because the owners were not there and we were the only guests, it felt very isolated. When we left at 7am, there was nobody around and the main door was bolted.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic property
Cons: Breakfast is not worth €19.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was built in the late 1700s and had all the original features. Large ceilings, beautiful furniture. A fantastic walled garden. It was very clean throughout, and had a lovely large modern bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: It’s just a bit hard to spot from the outside but other than that fantastic.

Pros: Location close to motorway. Safe parking.
Cons: Handed bottle of water. No tea/coffee in room or TV. Lots of notices around room - don’t make a noise, will be charged for damage, etc. Strange mannequins and costumes throughout - little eerie. No local facilities to eat. Had to go to next town

Pros: This is a very special place. Lovely grounds and amazing building. The decor is a one off in a very good way. It’s interesting, comfortable, surprising and memorable. The breakfast is fresh bread, pastries, yogurts, really nice juice and brilliant coffee. Breakfast is at a time you decide. The welcome was friendly and entertaining. The Patron is a great guy, he speaks fluent English and is very interesting to talk to. He booked restaurants for us that were excellent. Oh and its quiet.
Cons: Having to leave to go home.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A quite unique experience! Outstanding quality of service: very human and highly personalised. It is located in a manoir. The Internet is working very well; The breakfast is fantastic (and we do mean it!). The two owners are taking care, a lot. If you are looking for peace of mind, relaxation, please do not hesitate. Don't bring with you small children. You can enjoy the lovely park, especially if the weather is good. We both enjoyed our stay and will return if we have to stop again in the area of Cambrai. It is easy to find good restaurants in and around Cambrai.
Cons: Nothing. We cannot ask for more. We were treated like princes and we were delighted. Very cool and relaxing too. We did not like to quit after a two nights stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This a beautiful hotel decorated with fabulous styling. We were warmly greetd by the owner and he proudly showed us around the beautful manor and gardens that took him 7 years to renovate to a very high standard. He saw that I had a bike on the car and immediately offred to store it in his garage which I did. We loved everything about the Manoir and want to stay here again. The breakast was amazing served in the stunning dining room with limiless coffee. It was perfect for us in that it was about an hour's drive from Calais. Highly recomended.
Cons: Nothing could have been done better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place completely exceeded my expectations. The hosts were wonderfully warm, friendly and helpful. The kids loved running around the garden and found giant blackberries which they were delighted with. The house itself is exceptional with fine attention to detail. Breakfast was extraordinary - a range of pastries, bread, cold meats and cheese, served with tea, coffee, hot chocolate for the kids, as well as freshly prepare fruit smoothie served in a beautiful decanter. In practical terms this place is a great stopping point to/from Calais. Close enough to the motorway and close to Cambrai where there are lots of options to eat etc.

5.0 Okay
Pros: We were delighted with the room, style cleanliness and breakfast was acceptable.
Cons: On arrival we had to wait for 20 minutes in the cold and only gained entry after several phone calls. They finally gave us the entry code to get in. There was a kettle, one tea bag which was fruit and no milk on either day. After the two nights and on the day we were leaving We had nowhere to stay until 1.00 the staff member was unhelpful did not offer advice and told us bluntly you were closed. Very sulky and surley person never smiled once. We were obviously a tremendous inconvenience to her. The only time she showed any interest was getting the money. Luckily our son stayed at Manoire de Fourcy 400 yards away and they were most hospitable and welcomed us to their dining area and supplied us with coffe and shelter until 1.00. I would highly recommend Manoir de Fourcy.
