Pros: Gorgeous house. Excellent decor. Very comfortable bed and lovely sheets. Owner so pleasant and helpful. Wonderful breakfast in fabulous dining room. Local produce and very tasty pain perdu. Have never had better.
Pros: Breakfast was fine and the location was very good for the Tunnel. Pretty building.
Cons: The room was far too small for a couple.
Pros: We had a lovely time at Le Colombier, using it as a stopping place on our way back from further south in France. The hostess was lovely, the rooms so comfortable and clean, and the open space areas were beautiful. Breakfast exceeded all expectations with 3 different home made jams, various breads, local cheeses etc. Well worth it and we’ll definitely be back!

Pros: breakfast was excellent plenty of it and all good quality the host made a lot her self and prefer all organic produce(bio)
Cons: The Tv was a bit old and no English channels or radio, when it was bad weather or late at night
Pros: The room was located at the rear of the house with a lovely decked area looking out onto a well kept garden. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choices. However, it would have been nice to have selection of cold meats to enhance the breakfast. An easy walk from the house to the centre and beach of Wissant.
Cons: Actually we found nothing that we didn't like.
Pros: Valerie and Claude were so lovely, welcoming and accommodating, and the garden is a very peaceful place.

Cons: Breakfast only between 8 and 9AM.
Pros: apart from already mentioned things: good bed, nice breakfast (more than the French savvy standard croissant-with-jam), friendly and helpfull people
Cons: a small minus: our 'room with sea view' ; you need stand on the bed and look well to the left to see it ;)
Pros: Generous continental breakfast. Close to places of interest. Friendly owner. Very quiet rural location.
Cons: We had to change room because of noise from the bathroom extractor fan and a wobbly bed.
Pros: The location was great- easy to get to from Calais and convenient for local sightseeing. Nice view of the sea from our room.

Pros: Excellent breakfast, excellent, bathroom, interesting friendly fellow guests. The villa is in a quiet spot and easy walk to the centre of town and the beach. Wissant is close to Calais and the "Chunnel": but somewhere you would actually want to stay!
Cons: Not much!
Pros: The breakfast was superb, Madame Prouvot was on hand to serve coffee and perfect boiled eggs. A lovely selection of breads and a dozen different jams. The cottage is in a perfect location for the town centre and then the beach. We had a lovely stay.
Pros: The Villa Boreas is a lovely french country style house in a great location. The large rooms with bath, comfortable beds, vaulted ceiling windows were cozy & comfortable. The front garden has beautiful flowers and patio seating. Each morning we were treated with fresh juice, coffee, homemade crepes, pastries and jams! Laurenz was a wonderful host, who speaks french, english, flemish+. We highly recommend and plan to return. Thank you!
Pros: Probably one of the best B&Bs in the area. Location was perfect, quiet but still close to the centre of the village and the beach is at walking distance. We could even see the white cliffs of Dover from our bathroom! The wifi was great, private parking too and you can enter whenever you like. Very useful if you want to go out early mornings or late nights. Breakfast was very tasty, and has everything you might want. The hostess was really friendly and even taught us some French ;)
Pros: Beautifully decorated room with a really comfortable bed and everything nice and clean. The very friendly owner. The great breakfast spread.
Cons: There was nothing to complain about.
Pros: Lovely B&B which was perfectly located for our travels. We were warmly welcomed and helped with advice for dining, etc. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice with boiled eggs available in addition to the breads, ham and cheese. Good coffee and a wide selection of teas. Strong Wi-fi was also appreciated.
Pros: Excellent location - very helpful host - clean accommodating and value for money
Cons: The weather
When you stay at Villa Face Mer in Audresselles, you'll be by the ocean, within a 15-minute drive of Cap Gris-Nez and Nausicaá National Sea Center. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great location on the sea front and easy to walk into the village centre. Great size bedroom and bathroom. Had a ground floor garden view room, which was perfect given the wind direction and meant the car was just outside the door for access and packing.
Cons: Unfortunately the wind was blowing very very hard for most of our stay - there were then noises in the house overnight that did effect my sleep a bit. We forgot to ask for the wifi password, so I just can't comment on that. Minor issue was the old-fashioned shower curtain - guess I'd become spoilt by our other destinations not having those - just restricts you a bit.
Pros: Hard to beat the location. Our bedroom and living room looked out over the beach towards the sea. We were a few minutes walk from the village square.
Pros: Christine could not have been more helpful and the location is superb.
Pros: Convenient location right next to the sea
Cons: Just a minor point, tea and coffee making facilities would be good to have
Pros: We were welcome by the hostess. The room is comfortable and has a good breakfast. We were very happy with our choise. It's near of the downtown and has a very beautiful view of the beach.
Pros: The house itself is on great location - on a sea shore, just aboe the beach, surrounded by private spacious garden. There is a lot of space for private pikniking, parking, ..
Cons: Wifi didi not work well.
Pros: didn't have breakfast. location is great
Cons: maybe some extra pillows
Pros: We had booked the 4-person flat on the upper floor. From our living-room and one of the two sleeping rooms we had a perfect view to the sea, the garden is situated directly to the beach ( just a few steps downstairs ). The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom is tiny and modern.
Cons: Everything was perfect
Pros: Good size room with ensuite, and there is a small terrace in front of this ground floor room with morning sun. Lovely and plentiful breakfast, served in our room. Very helpful host.
Cons: No tea/coffee making facility in the room. I would have liked there to be a choice of tea for breakfast, Earl Grey is not my favorite type.
When you stay at Village Vacances Le Cap d'Opale in Ambleteuse, you'll be next to a golf course, within a 15-minute drive of Cap Gris-Nez and Nausicaá National Sea Center. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a library. Guests may use a train station pick-up service for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This is a simple vacation village, with practicality more important than the looks and service. It was nice that there is a swimming pool and spa, our children enjoyed it a lot, during our 1 night stay. The room was simple with basic decoration, but had everything we needed in a short stay. The personnel at the reception and the bar were nice and friendly.
Cons: The restaurant was quite depressing and the quality of the food at dinner was very poor. They have a 3 course fixed meal form 17 euro, which is very affordable of course, but we could not eat much of it due to its quality and taste. We would have preferred to pay more for a more proper meal. The service was also impersonal and unfriendly. The aim was to put the plates on the tables as fast as possible, and close the restaurant timely. What we paid for the room (165 euro) was too high for this simple hotel.
Pros: It was fine as hostel-type accommodation for families on holiday - well set up for that type of travelling and with the right facilities. However we thought, from description on bookings and the filter we used to select/the fact it was offered as an alternative to our first choice, that it was a different, smaller, type of hotel. The ratings reflect our expectation.
Pros: Enjoyed the breakfasts. Location was ideal as we were able to go afield, Lille one day, Bruges the next as the main autoroute is very near. Enjoyed the rural location as it was very relaxing. In all it was ideal for our stay.
Cons: Food. Awful. Room dilapidated.
Pros: The breakfast was very good with a wide choice of products. The location was very good with easy access to such places as Cap Griz Nez and Cap Blanc.
Cons: This was the third time that we had been to the place. However unfortunately the room was not as good as the ones we had stayed in on the previous visits. It was fairly good however.
With a stay at Hôtel Le Vivier - Vue Mer in Wissant, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Cap Gris-Nez and Wissant. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great, simple breakfast.
Cons: You check in at the restaurant in the centre of town - a simple map and instructions to get you into the hotel would have been appreciated. It took us a while to find the way - and then quite a long while to find the way to our room!
Pros: The view of the sea and the garden was lovely
Cons: Bed was very uncomfortable as it was a pull out and only one very thin pillow. I would recommend taking your own! Difficult to check in as the the other hotel is at least a mile away and the communication between the 2 was a little sketchy
Pros: Very clean and staff in morning with breakfast very pleasant
Cons: Further out of town than i realised. Given there wasnt any staff a bar on site tea and coffee in room would be an idea
Pros: We were looking for a quiet location in the end of September and found that. Very good restaurants in the area. Beautiful locations to visit. A perfect place to unwind.
Cons: We do not have any complaints.
Pros: Bath and shower Great breakfast
Cons: Room layout wasn’t the best for a young family
Pros: Location of Hotel le Vivier vue mer was not quite as near to the resort as we expected. Yes it had a sea view as stated, but the location was by the coastal road on the top side of the resort. Check in was at their sister hotel in the centre of the resort, and we asked if we could change our reservation to that hotel in order to be nearer the resort and the beach. This was done without problem and we were perfectly happy with our new choice. Rooms were clean, pleasant and had all that you needed.
Cons: The hotel's restaurant was closed on the evening of our booking so we had to use another restaurant in the resort. Glad that we pre-booked as there wasn't much choice in the village and people were being turned away as the restaurant was full.
Pros: Comfortable quiet rooms with good view of the sea (beyond a big camp site). Lovely little village with great walks along the seafront and the coast, an enormous beach and a fascinating evening market.
Cons: Had to return to main hotel in centre of village to check-in/pick up keys - why couldn't that be said in the booking email? Whilst comfortable, the rooms felt expensive for the quite basic facilities. Breakfast was ok but dinner in main hotel building was mediocre and poor value.
With a stay at Hôtel Le Vivier - Centre Village in Wissant, you'll be near the beach, within a 15-minute drive of Cap Gris-Nez and Wissant. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: I would like you to have a star system
Pros: Ideally situated between the two caps (blanc-nez/gris-nez). From the hotel it was only a 5 minutes walk to the beach!! Free parking close by.
Cons: In our room, the light went out regularly - which was a bit annoying because there was only 1 spot in the ceiling. But we mentioned this to the staff, hopefully it'll be fixed for future guests...
Pros: Good breakfast, friendly lady very helpful
Cons: The hotel was not the one advertised in the picture. Nobody at reception and the bar staff ignored us telling us that somebody would arrive sooner or later. We were eventually given a key and an address for a place at the end of town and when we asked for directions we were told to use our smartphone. A mile walk from town centre and from advertised location.
Pros: Overall a bit of a mess and our room (11) was comfortable but not clean nor dusted...,plumbing exposed and curtains fitted back to front etc etc.....all looking a but tired. On the other hand the lotte a l’armoricaine merited a return visit.
Cons: All just a bit down at heel but the staff were pleasant enough.
Pros: Close to bars and market
Cons: Room had no window
Pros: Good food, really nice staff!
Cons: Wissant is a splendid town in northern France, but not St. Tropez. 140 EUR per night in this regard is a quite high price for a room. In this sense, we expected far more than we got. In addition, the reception is unfriendly and not very flexible: we booked but had to shift our stay half a day later, nobody took the phone all day and in the end we were charged for two more nights at this high price based on a very biased cancelation policy.
Pros: We booked the Hotel because it was in the village Centre, we arrived to be told we were in an annexe 10 minutes away. My Husband is disabled so could not manage walk to village, we were Prisoners in poor accommodation and location.
Cons: Location, room and facilities.
Pros: Its a great location in a lovely village. Friendly welcome when we arrived and room was ready even though we were early. Breakfast was excellent a good buffet with plenty of choice. The rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable. Dog friendly.
Cons: Shelf over bathroom sink needed fixing it was sloping so couldn't use it. Normally parking is very easy in front of the hotel or at the back but spaces cannot be reserved so during busy times such as a festival weekend you will have to take your chances. Staff would not serve us a drink at about 10.pm in the evening in the outside area though they were still serving diners. I think if you are a resident of the hotel it should be possible to get a drink whilst the restaurant is still open and serving.
Offering a French restaurant and a terrace, Le Normandy is located in the city centre of Wissant. The hotel offers rooms with a view of the sea and free Wi-Fi access, just 300 metres from the beach. Rooms here will provide you with a TV. Each private bathroom is fitted with a bathtub or a shower. A continental breakfast is available daily. The restaurant room on site features exposed beams and red velvet chairs. At Le Normandy you will find a terrace and a bar. The accommodation is situated 20 km from Calais and 22 km from Boulogne-sur-Mer. The property offers free parking.
Pros: Food & Staff excellent
Cons: Accommodation was dated
Pros: Made very welcome, had a lovely room with a view. Brilliant.
Pros: The staff and food were exceptional and the place was clean and functional. The hotel is a little time-warped but it was comfortable and has old-world charm.
Cons: The staircases to the upper floors are very steep and there is no lift. We stayed during a heatwave, so the room was very hot; some kind of air conditioning would have been a bonus.
Pros: Easy parking, sea view, good breakfast, close to other cafés and restaurants and close to the beach.
Cons: Tired hotel smelled of wet dog and cigarettes.
Pros: In village centre close to the beach.Good restaurant.
Cons: We had a room on the top floor, which was up three steep flights of stairs. There is no lift. Not suitable for those with limited mobility
Cons: On a 38 degree hot summer day the owner of the hotel disapproved my shorts and he refused me to the restaurant. When I then decided to leave the hotel by first opportunity, he even tried to charge an extra night…. ! Btw the beach side hotel does not have airco in the rooms, not even a fan. And wifi (as advertised) was not available, neither on the terrace nor in the room
