The location and the village were stunning. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The family rooms were in desperate need of updating and although linen on beds was clean the whole impression made the room look shabby. The photos of the rooms on the website are misleading.
the hotel is at a practical location for a stop on your way to a more southern destination. nice brasserie and vfriendly staff.
nice efficient people, location the socalled gastronomic restaurant. not much choice, appetizersize portions, robotlike personnel, expensive, no value for money at all
Cleanliness and good location. Breakfast was good. A rather formal atmostphere which I found to be off putting. How unusual for a botel to not make it easy to be able to leave your bags there if you're not travelling straight away after leaving your room at 10h.
The easy location and only ten minutes walk to the town, lovely old town with a lot of history. Good choice of breakfast and good restaurant with very resaonable prices. Free parking. Was excellent as a stop over on our way back from our tour of France.
Great restaurant, heater in room, no secure parking. no facility to make tea or coffe in room
The location was good for our family. It was easy to find, and fairly clean. The price was rather high, considering the basics were all that was met. We ate in the restaurant, and found that the food was not very exceptional for the price. We would have been happier had we visited a local restaurant.
Location and parking Poor wifi coverage
Thr price was fine for a budget hotel. There were no English speaking channels on the TV
Slightly out of town but not an issue, parking safe, welcome brilliant this hotel and the chain have soemthing different to offer if they are the newer ones in the group. Amazing value and comfort for a chain and the for a stopover brilliant. Lively restaurant so a good atmosphere not stuffy or abandoned. The owner was on the case - would recommend and stay again selectively as the Montpellier one close to the airport a bit of a mess!!!
Be fare about the rooms and amount of beds in the rooms. In our case we made a reservation for 5 persons and max amount of beds was only four, while on the resevation page stand extra bed possible
This is not a complaint but needs attention. The booking confirmation received shows check in time from 1400hrs. When we arrived the hotel was closed and check in time was not until 1700hrs. Other travellers also arrived for the earlier time.
Staff were friendly and available - dealing with people rather than a card machine! Restaurant available on site. Good sized room and en-suite. Access to reception via steps could prove a problem for some guests.
We had a ground floor room, which had a door opening onto a decking area, with deckchair. Nice to be able to let the sun shine into the room. A seating area nearby would have been good to use, had the weather been a bit warmer. We had a very good meal in the restaurant. Be warned that on a Tuesday evening the restaurants in town close, so it's good that you can eat at the hotel.
The castel and the out side The inside and the Restaurant
Very clean and comfortable rooms, pleasant and helpful staff and the option of hot drinks facility in the room.
The hotel is in a stunning setting and has been fully restored to an historic French Chateau. Quality french cuisine is served in the restaurant but is quite costly; A two course meal for two people was €120 and breakfast €16 per person. This would be a fantastic, idyllic location for a wedding.
The Chateau, grounds and surrounding area were beautiful, we found it a welcome break from our journey from the UK to Spain. Unfortunately the rooms were going through a refurbishment and were lacking in some facilities.
Clean comfortable room in beautiful surroundings and at the right place for an overnight stop on our way to Spain Plain Walls in the room. Dinner menu is poor value for money. Breakfast should be in a light room not in a darkened space.
Only the location which was breathtaking for views of the countryside. The meal we were served on the first evening was awful, very poor in quality and cooking to ones liking. The menu is a set price, either €32 or €42 each with three choices of main course. The second night we went to a Restaurant Grill, across the road from the Chateau entrance and had a really super meal much cheaper than at the Chateau.
The food and the location The room was somewhat shabby; broken light switch, noisy fridge, 2 light- bulbs not working. The bed was very uncomfortable and noisy (loose joints), this was reported to the hotel the following morning.
Nice setting. Easy to find. Checked in late (2145). No English spoke & my French is so so. Asked if we could get a coffee, but wasn't interested. Mini bar in room, only 1 beer, some soft drinks and crisps. No tea/coffee facilities. When you arrive in darkness, very badly lit from where car is parked.
The location and the food Difficult to find the entrance and no tea or coffee facilities in room.
wifi very exp.
Large room and spacious bathroom. Outlook from room with good views of river and town Excellent dining room and terrace in traditional style. Very helpful staff. Difficult entry into car park if you have a larger than average size vehicle.
Neither the hotel nor the staff had much personality. Restaurant very disorganised and not as good as they think it is. But not much alternative in the town
We chose this hotel as a stop off en-route to the South of France, we didn't want an F1 or similar but didn't want to pay a fortune. It is only half a mile form the A75 but in lovely countryside. It has a comfortable, friendly bar with a few locals in. Good relaxed atmosphere, after a long drive on a hot day you can have cold beer at the bar or out on the terrace. Welcome was friendly but efficient, room was very comfortable with an excellent bed best I have had for some years. Be aware the restaurant menu is not cheap but the food is very good. The cheapest was €20p/p for 2 courses With the room @ only €58 for 2 you soon spend more than the room. It is a great stop-off and we would use it again. Hope this helps.
The staff at Le Rocher Blanc were really friendly and helpful. The decor was quirky and fascinating. The rooms were individually detailed and the beds were very comfortable. The dinner menu was excellent and we thought good value for money. Great advice on wine choice too. We were travelling through France and the proximity to the motorway was very convenient - easy to find.
Very good location, near to the motorway in a pleasant rural village. Great rural views. Very clean and comfortable. Restaurant rather pretentious, but v good food for dinner. Fight hard for the house wine if you want it at dinner, and they will very reluctantly let you have it! Breakfast poor for the price.
Good access to motorway, unfortunatly arrival was after dinner,(11pm) and there was no oppotunity to experince the restaurant facilities The buffet breakfast was the same as continental, but cost more
The very nice indoor swimming pool in the neighbouring barn. The overall decoration of the hotel and rooms.
the food and the swimmingpool christmas decorations in the summertime
Staff were very helpfull, Room was Clean & comfortable; The¨"Le Rocher Blanc Experience" was one to be repeated when I am next in the area, preferably for more than 1 night Unavailability of Wi-Fi in my room (Due to location I think)
The hotel was nice and clean and the staff were friendly The location of the hotel was quite remote, also the restaurant was expensive.
We have used this hotel several times as a one night autoroute stop and the owner always remembers us. The general atmosphere is friendly, the rooms are comfortable and the food is excellent. NO !!!!
