Pros: Spotlessly Clean, Excellent buffet breakfast, Swimming Pool also excellent, Wonderful location. Extremely Pleasant, helpful and friendly owner, a place to be proud of with excellent rooms.
Pros: The stay was excellent. Beautiful grounds, very private, clean, fresh breakfast croissants and bread every morning, juice, coffee, real tea, fresh fruit and yogurts and more. You can buy a bottle of the local wine €7. Patricia was very kind and extremely helpful, could not ask for more. My wife and I were attending a local wedding, absolutely fabulous. 10 min walk to local village, just observe openings times before you set out. Generally if your in the village after 1700, there's a couple of bars and two great restaurants. Domaine De Castenet is a excellent base to explore from. Renewed thanks Patricia, for everything, even the extra "help" :)
Pros: This place is wonderful - spacious rooms, nice common area with a pinball machine and a pool table (as well as a kitchen), and of course the outdoor pool and spa. Because we were so many we had booked both rooms and hence had the whole place for ourselves - amazing. Rooms have modern facilities, and good beds. And the spa is huge, could probably fit 6 at the same time. We would come back some time, and explore the country side a bit more.
Cons: We got woken up at night by a donkey making some strange sound, but I guess that is what can happen when you stay in the country side. Also I would say it is helpful to speak French (here as well).
Pros: Lovely place and very friendly would definitely come back again in the future.
Cons: Same about having go drive miles to look for somewhere to eat in the afternoon. Other than that I loved the place.
Pros: Very clean and newly built - was great to wake up and see the morning view over pastures
Cons: There was a weird scratching sound at night that sounded like a small animal in the roof. I realize this is a working farm so that is likely but it was unsettled for what seemed like newly built house!
Pros: This is the 2nd time we have visited this property. We love this area of France & Patricia the host is very welcoming.
Cons: Unfortunately the swimming pool was damaged on the morning of our arrival, which was disappointing.
Pros: This seemed to be a new conversion, so the room facilities were also new. There was a lovely pool area which unfortunately because of the weather we were unable to enjoy ! There were fantastic views across the pond, to the countryside beyond. The owners seemed to look after horses and it was lovely to see them being well looked after. Patricia speaks some English but not a lot, so it gave us a chance to practice our French. Fresh bread & fruit for breakfast with home made Madelines.
Pros: Everything - What a fantastic hotel in the most lovely area. Patricia met us on our arrival & showed us around the hotel, the facilities including swimming pool & Jacuzzi Hot Tub, & our Family Room which easily accommodated a Family of 4. The kids were in the pool before unpacking. The view (from the Hot Tub) was so very French. Coffee available anytime of day & lager available on draught at a Euro donation per glass. Breakfast was superb & included in the price. An excellent find. Myself & my wife will make a point of returning here for an extended stay (without the kids)
Cons: Kids enjoyed the small pool table & the fusball game along with the pool & Hot Tub. There was nothing not to like.
Pros: Loved our stay at Domaine de castanet. Patricia & Jean-Louis were great hosts, they could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Our room (with garden view) was beautifully decorated, the bed was super comfortable, Patricia's breakfasts were delicious- different everyday with local produce. We chose the location as it was a short walk to a wedding we were attending, and we were lucky to find this place - it was super relaxing! Merci pour votre hospitality - tout était parfait! Tips- we loved the restaurants in Caraman but check opening times carefully. Everyone is so friendly but it's useful to speak some french (:
Cons: everything was great!
With a stay at Hotel Cuq En Terrasses in Cuq-Toulza, you'll be 23.2 mi (37.4 km) from Cite de l'Espace and 25.7 mi (41.4 km) from Museum of the Augustins. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location is beautiful, with sweeping views over the countryside, the owners and staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast selection was the best we have ever seen, a great start to the day. Dinner in the evening was superb, with entertainment with one of the hosts on the pianola an added bonus. Our only regret was that our stay was limited to 2 nights, we certainly didn't want to leave. The house itself is so interesting, the rooms so comfortable, and the whole experience was wonderful.
Pros: This place is a truly magical place in the countryside east of Toulouse. This is our third time staying here, and I hope to be able to someday write 30th time.
Pros: We really appreciated the fabulous dinner on the terrace watching the sun set over a stunning view, which we also overlooked from our very tastefully furnished, extremely comfortable and spotless room ("La Lauragais"). Incredibly diverse, delicious buffet at breakfast. Our hosts, Philippe and Andonis couldn't have been more charming or attentive. VERY highly recommended special place, full of character, in a unique location, for a luxurious stay in a lovely area of countryside - with Toulouse only a short distance away.
Pros: This is a small privately run hotel and as such has charm and character. Like most similar hotels it may not be perceived as "perfect" by some, for example, the plug in the basin didn't hold water long enough to have a shave, the shower was not thermostatically controlled, etc. but you get to meet and talk with the owners, the people who run the hotel as their business. Here they are very friendly and made us feel so welcome. We ate at the restaurant each of the 3 nights of our stay and the food was excellent. Andonis, one of the owners, is the chef. The wine too was excellent and reasonably priced and Phillipe, the other owner, was very knowledgeable and helped us choose something that suited both us and the meal. Before we visited we contacted the hotel as we had a few preferences when it comes to diet and the meal is a set meal each night. They were quick to reply on each occasion and the menu each night took account of our tastes. We booked this trip away hoping to have a relaxing break with good food, an attractive setting and the option to take some short walks either from the hotel or nearby. We achieved all this and, like many of their previous guests, would love to make a return trip at sometime in the not to distant future.
Cons: There was nothing we disliked.
Pros: Lovely decor and atmosphere. Really enjoyed having dinner at the property as well! Our favorite stay of the entire holiday without a doubt.
Cons: We were sad to leave...
Pros: Good selection available including my favourite goat yoghurt and fresh fruit, pastries and excellent bread.
Pros: An idyllic, paradise location surrounded by rolling French countryside! Magnificent room décor, top quality cuisine, a warm welcome from Nathalie and a charming musical soiree!
Pros: Absolutely everything
Cons: Having to leave
Pros: Location is beautiful. Staff friendly and helpful.
Pros: Friendly hosts Swimming pool Delicious food
Pros: The location and facilities are wonderful: rural, calm, clean, well appointed, spacious - but the bonus extra was the wonderfully attentive, kind owners, who made us feel totally at home, comfortable, and went far out of their way to help us any way they could.
Cons: Nothing could have been better
Pros: Our stay was very pleasant in all respects, and we would like to emphasise that the owners were extremely nice and welcoming.
Pros: Fabulous village location and wonderful staff.
With a stay at Hôtel La Bombardière in Cuq-Toulza, you'll be 22.5 mi (36.2 km) from Cite de l'Espace and 25 mi (40.2 km) from Museum of the Augustins. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The plums on the plum tree in the car park.
Cons: Well where to start. Got there around 20 h installed in room showered and dressed got to restaurant at 21h 10 ordered starters and main course , main came first followed by the starter 2min later! When asked why because the kitchen closes at 21h. On the third day got to breakfast to be asked if we had reserved!!!!!..
Pros: we liked the pool area, though seating and a shower would have been good.
Cons: check in was appalling. made to feel very unwelcome by a grim faced, unsmiling woman who greeted us by asking us what did we want. We said, " to check in" and were subjected to a display of bad manners, comprising of gallic shrugs, sighs of exasperation and eyes rolling to the heavens...incredible. The pokey dirty room under the eaves of the second floor almost made us leave, but we were too tired.
Cons: Did not like the menu the worst meal we had in France over a 3 days stay ...
Pros: We were expecting more choice for breakfast. It was quite basic, although the dinners were excellent. The staff were very pleasant & helpful. The hotel was very clean & well looked after.
Cons: The breakfast.
Pros: Excellent food, cheerful and helpful staff.
Cons: nothing, it was just great.
