Very nice accommodations and quick check in on a last minute booking. Would definitely stay there again. There were really no negatives but a complimentary breakfast would have been a nice addition to my stay.
The helpfulness of the staff and the location
The room was very clean. The staff was courteous and helpful. The beds were very comfortable.
We love the location and the extra space with the pull out sofa! Also Tunisia who works at the front desk is exceptional at customer service. She just gets it-and quickly! You should promote her or at least hang on to her!! Cleanliness around the pool area
I arrived at the holiday inn Austin airport with my kayak reservation in hand. However they could find no record of the $169 pre-paid reservation so they charged me $219 in addition. Had I known it was going to cost me over $400, I would have stayed at the W! Also traffic is terrible on the only road able to access the hotel because of highway construction. The hotel is brand new and clean but very expensive when you are charged twice!
They were helpful The gentleman who checked me in was way too fast and I felt extremely rushed or a bother. In the morning the room service staff was soooo loud clanging and banging around. I have no idea what they were doing. I put the quiet please sign on my door but that didn't do much for the noise.
The breakfast was the only thng that was decent. The room smelled of mildew, the room had no water pressure, the iron leaked when I tried to use it, and the people in the next door were so loud including screaming in the hall at 2:00am that we had to call the front desk lodge a complaint. It took a little while, but they finally quieted down
Close to downtown. The water pressure in the faucet in sink and shower was extremely low. When I told this to the hotel manager, he gave me a lame excuse (which can be a lie as well) that the Austin city government requires all the renovated hotels like Days Inn at Austin Crossroads to save water by drastically reducing the water pressure. What a ridiculous and stupid policy?! It cannot be anything farther from the truth. I will not like to return to this pathetic hotel with unprofessional manager.
We went to a UT game and stayed at this hotel Saturday night. The cost was $150 total. The hotel was dingy and the rooms were NOT at all what we saw online. They must've taken a picture of their biggest room. The bathroom was itty bitty and we had a small LIVE roach greet us inside the tub upon our arrival. BLECH!
I like the price Sink had what looked like either calcium or very old toothpaste
Front desk lady. She was nice and very knowledgeable of places in Austin, TX. The bed was old and hard.
Close access to downtown The bathroom was filthy, beds were broken down, space was very cramped.
For the overall price the experience was good and the stay was convenient for us Location was a little ghetto but centrally located for our needs
although close to freeway it was not noisy. the air conditioner provided white noise and I slept well. As others said the breakfast was minimal. Although not a long line front desk seems slow to process.
The counter guy was chill. The free breakfast was exactly what one moght expect... But wothout the eggs or sausage. If it had that i would have rated higher. Honestly, kf they said morning snack instead of breakfast I'd habe rated higher. Other than that it was average in every sense.
Was the most economical choice. Sheets were itchy, spider in bathroom, roach in room. Felt like a sweat shop inside, particularly in the breakfast area in the AM.
Location was good, except that it is right on the highway so there is a lot of traffic noise. Complimentary breakfast The beds were very uncomfortable. Also, there were other guests in the hotel that were up ALL NIGHT literally knocking on doors and making huge amounts of noise.
Comfort, quiet and friendliness
We were very satisfied with our hotel stay. The staff, especially manager Elba, were extremely helpful and professional. The breakfast was good although with a busy hotel the dining area filled quickly. They did provide most breakfast favorites. The room was clean and the bed super comfortable. Overall a very nice stay!
We stayed here for 2 nights and the maid never cleaned our room! She came by the room at 0830 am on the second morning and my son told her we were sleeping. She said 'okay' and left towels and never returned, even though we left for the day and didn't return until late that evening. The most disgusting thing though was going out to our van in the morning and discovering that it was literally COVERED in bird excrement! The staff had not bothered to tell us we may not want to park where we did since there were hundreds of birds there!! When we complained about these things at checkout, the woman was completely blase' and just said 'sorry about that' and offered nothing else. Never again! Although it was a great price, not worth it!
As a UT student parent - and a resident of TX, I've stayed in Austin a number of times. Finding decent, and reasonable accomodations can be a challenge. This hotel was fairly convenient to the campus (you do need a car). \nThe room was quiet, clean and well furnished. It was not accessible from the outside - which is good in Austin as driveby traffic and parking lot parties can be noisy. Bedding clean, fresh and an definitely an upgrade from other hotels similarly priced. The room was a suite, so there was ample room and ability to have family members stay. Breakfast good -- the dining room was busy - get there early. All in all a good value and it will be my first choice next time. I'll be glad not to have to search around.
Our room was between two elevators so it was a little noisy. But we enjoyed our stay and location was close to family.
Had a great stay. Wife really enjoyed the whirlpool.
Couldn't have asked for a nicer or more comfortable room!!
Great location ~ close to Downtown without paying to park your car! Close to Sam's, HEB, Walmart. Complete with microwave and fridge. Great breakfast including Texas shaped waffles you bake yourself! We had four adults and a 11 year old and were not crowded. Only problem was the pool was not open ~ and the staff knew it, but said it might be later when we checked in. But no problem, we were welcome to the pool at the more expensive Marriot in the same parking lot. Enjoy!
Amazing breakfast offered. Many choices. Never seen one as good.
I liked how cute and comfy this hotel was. They pay attention to the small things, such as having complimentary fresh baked cookies and flavored ice water. They also had little packets with crayons and coloring pages for the kids. The breakfast selection isn't bad either. While we were out the maid service came in and made our beds, they even arranged my nephew's blanket and his teddy bear over the bed. Overall a nice experience for a fair price.
The Spring Hill is a great place to stay it was like home away from home. The staff was excellent they was there for my every need. The Breakfast was very good alot to choose from. Overall a great place to stay in Austin Texas.
Will stay here again and I don't care to write any more.
One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in for the price I paid. The interior was very polished and had a nice vibe to it. The free breakfast was really good and I had a lot to choose from. There was free wifi as well which is a big bonus. Not the hotels fault but a few times the elevators were out of order. The walls were a bit thin so I could hear everything. I had gotten a king instead of a queen which is what I thought I was getting but other than that nothing bad!
Room was excellent. TV remote was easy to use. Keurig machine in the kitchen too! Nice shower. Lots of towels. GREAT STAFF.
I really liked the look and cleanest of my room. Enjoyed the breakfast as well. This will be my hotel to stay at when I visit Austin again.
Bacon was too crisp. Tables not cleaned between diners
Parking and spaciousness of room Yes. They failed on requested wake up call.the bather Room had a faint sewer smell. The shower was For disabled ( not requested but ok) . The shower Water ran onto the rest of the bathroom. A drain was In the center of bathroom. Poor design.
Hotel and room were new, clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable and the sofa, coffee table, and refrigerator were nice to have in the room. The pool/spa area was outstanding including a waterfall, cabanas and grills. I would definitely return. Nothing at all really. There is a very convenient mini-store in the lobby but a small bar with snacks, soft drinks and spirits would be a nice addition.
Property was Updated, friendly staff, pool area was large enough to hold several average families, bed was the ultimate level of comfort, & breakfast was more than average No
I stayed here a total of 3 weeks. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and they serve a decent breakfast every morning. The hotel is a very short ride from The Domain as well. There was construction being done on a building right in front of the hotel. Once this is done, there won't be a reason to complain at all.
Nice and clean No
The beds were super comfortable, the hotel is very clean and modern, the king suites are very nice, there's a nice pool, great location(lots of shopping and restaurants near by), easy parking, and pretty good free breakfast! Impressive holiday inn! They weren't very happy we had an early check in but they still found us a room.
Nice, clean spaces. Comes across as very modern. Quite possibly the best part to me was the fact they had real Directv in the rooms with MANY premium channels.
The location and staff were great. The walls were extremely thin and we could hear everything outside of our room.
Staff were very nice. And the room was ery clean. Cheap bed.
Very clean, new and the staff was more than nice and helpful. I will stay here again The room was very tight. The end tables and the king size bed made the entire width of the room.
The room, the bed, tv size, we're welcoming and we'll worth the money. My account was not cold. This is the 2nd time at this same hotel.
King bed was firm and comfortable with quality pillows. Room service made us a customer order for breakfast Ac didnt go below 70 all night. Bar was small.
When we arrived in our room, it was not what I had reserved. I was not happy when I called the front desk. But to my pleasant surprise, they apologized and set us up in an executive suite! They went beyond what I expected and made the stay very nice!
Sweet staff, We saw 3 bugs in the bed while we were there one during my night of sleep. Yuck! None were bed bugs (I used to work for a pest control company) but 2 spiders and another weird black bug. For $120 a night I didn't expect that.
The location to the entertainment district was nice. An added plus was a fridge in the room. Most hotels of this size I've stayed in on my travels offered their guests a free breakfast. This one did not. If they did offer one, the staff was truly unwilling to divulge that fact. Holiday Inn needs to step up efforts with this particular hotel to offer a free breakfast to their guests in order to keep pace with other comparable hotels as well as the hotel industry. What a huge disappointment!
Everything was amazing. The place was always clean and the staff was great. The pool could have been a bit better but it's not something that I would dock this hotel for.
Rooms were a little nicer than similar properties. I got a room beside the elevator but it was still quiet. The place was packed with youth soccer teams and they all seemed happy to be there. Had trouble getting the HVAC to work properly. And was difficult to find a quiet spot to read the paper while eating breakfast because of all the families. Breakfast was pretty typical of this level of hotel. I thought the lobby & breakfast area were more cramped than other hotels of this type.
Size of room, breakfast, coffee (the amenities, in general). All-around a quality hotel. Moved to a second room to get a different size bed (doubles to king). The second room had a slight odor that lasted at least 24 hours; should have contacted staff, but we didn't.
Very nice hotel with great rooms for the money. Was cold in the room since you have to have your room key in the thermostat to keep it running. Took a while to warm up.
i previously stayed in a holiday in express in San antonio and had a good experience so I thought I'd stay with them again. Just as I expected, the room was clean and the floors were hardwood instead of carpet (that's different)!! Staff was super nice and friendly. If you need help with transportation they have a shuttle to and from the airport and phone numbers for taxi's. Check in and out was less than a minute. Beds were comfortable and food was good. I enjoyed my stay! Nothing I can think of.
spacious rooms, acceptable breakfast. when I checked in my first floor room was full of crickets crawling up the walls, curtains and across the floor. I asked to be moved, and the desk clerk told me "it's cricket season" as if that was an acceptable reason for me to have to sleep with them inside a hotel room. I had to insist to be moved. He told me more than once they were sold out and had no rooms. When I demanded he call another Holiday Inn and get me a room, he magically found an empty room on the 4th floor.
Rooms were well furnished, clean and roomy(had an "Executive Suite"). Coffee was better than expected. Shuttle service was a bit sluggish, long wait after calling in and got ambiguous responses on inquiries.
Great morning breakfast. Affordable and plentiful. Rooms very nice. Great bed. Non-smoking campus and rooms.
The staff were very professional and accommodating but I'll no be staying at another Garden Inn. Best to stay with the Hilton itself. The hotel itself was sub par. The pool was indoors and extremely small, no outdoor pool. The bed had to be the worst I've ever slept on. In contrast, the beds at the Hilton are best in class.
Nice and warm
Both of the Elevators closest to the Lobby smelled horrible at all times. Like the smell of dirty feet.
My restroom sink faucet didn't work properly and had to wash my teeth from the shower
I thought the bed was pretty comfortable The bathroom towel rack is located above and to the rear of the bathtub/shower. I cracked my skull against the shelf while getting into the shower.
Difficult to get on wifi
Venturing around the surrounding area near Hotel to see Northwest Austin's Arboretum area. Great shopping, eating, entertainment and location from the city.
