Comfortable and welcoming in fascinating town with the brilliant Centre nationale de costume nearby. Quiet (at least off-season) but central.
The hotel was convenient, and very accomodating. Parking onsite, easy access, nice "old world" hotel, but in need of some updating. The bathroom was enormous by European standards! Nice flat screen TV in room...unexpected! Looks like it is under contstruction..doing some remodeling and updating.
it was central and easy to find. bathroom spacious reception very poor tho' other staff pleasant. Room just adequate. Very D.I.Y feel about it.
Excellent reception from staff Hotel being refurbished which did not interfere with our stay Very expensive breakfast
It was central; with courteous and helpful staff. The breakfast offered was good and varied: It was being renovated with wires everywhere; and the room was tiny with no teamaking facilities:
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was perfectly situated in a charming, beautiful, quaint French town. The hotel is undergoing what looks like major renovations, but only affects the hallways. Enjoyed the hotel and staff very much.
Although the hotel was being refurbished we were made to feel welcome.
Well managed during current refurb, close to town centre and museum and cathedral. Pleasant helpful staff. Wait 6 months to book then it will be superb They are completely refurbing the rooms to modern standards so it was a bit like a building site, but our room was both large and very comfortable.
The atmosphere of the hotel is very nice. The room was small and with bad view.
Position in the centre of town and the old world hotel atmosphere even though the decorating was in need of maintenance. Major building works which are ongoing up to December 2010 to refurbish the hotel, garden and extention buildings completely were not mentioned in the booking data. Completely ruined what was supposed to be an up market small town stay.
We found that the food was not as good anymore with a reduced buffet and the menus very boring.if traveling through france i would not want to stay for more than one night in a camponile. Most of the Camponile hotels are not within walking distance of anywere of interest once you have eaten there seems little else to do but go to your room we have been disapointed of late with the camponile hotels
Well presented friendly hotel no complaints -- slight fear when I contacted them re car rental and was told that instead of 5 rooms booked I only had one -- confusion quickly cleared up by booking.com and I breathed again (their was 10 in our group) No problems helpful group of staff
Both of the receptionists were smiling. Located too far from the city. Wifi was weak. The restraurant's meal was so poor, and there is no other solution if you do not go by car. Recommended only for people travelling by car.
The hotel met our needs and budget. Everything was done efficiently.
the no fuss attitude of the staff, the quick service and friendly atmosphere in the restaurant, the room was clean and functional and parking facilities excellent, the town centre was less than a kilometre easily walkable distance and advice on restaurants, bars and sites to visit was readily available from staff.
Good size room and free WiFi. All that you'd expect from a stop-over motel. Food was pretty good value, but breakfast buffet uninspiring and poorly serviced. Very difficult to find hotel via town centre even with your map. Much easier from the n7.
The overall size of the room was great and the ability to park our vehicle close to where we were staying.
Quick and convenient service while touring. Buffet excellent and good value.
The room was very large and comfortable with plenty of space for two people and their luggage. The staff were very helpful.
Modern facilities excellent food Worried on arrival that it would be noisy - but it was not
Not very much I got food poisoning, there was no help with bags on arrival, staff were disinterested or stuck up.
The lay out
Charm old-fashion hotel
room was quiet and cool, overlooking the court yard, unfortunately we did not eat at the hotel in the evening, ans so can not comment about the food. How ever the breakfast was excellent, and the only suggestion to improve would be to add hard boied eggs with the cold ham and cheese none
Everyone was very friendly and I would definitely recommend the hotel to our friends and family.
This is a really charming hotel with very helpful staff, our room was beautiful and real value. If you travel through Bourbon L'archambeau stay here. It's a really nice town and this hotel is right in the middle of the most scenic and historic part of it. Eat in the resturant of the hotel, the food was excellent.
Extremely pleasant staff. A very spacious room with a very large, comfortable bed. An excellent evening meal, delicious food and attentive service. None that we were aware of.
Beautiful building, lovely gardens all of which were well looked after in a slightly "faded" way. breakfast expensive and not well organised.
The location, the general relaxed ambiance of the hotel and the presentation of the garden and pool areas.
A warm friendly welcome on arrival. most enjoyable evening meal.
second stay in this hotel. This time we did eat in the evening, and had the residents menu, which was excellent, although our choice of dishes was unfortunate, every one elses food looked nicer than ours. There were a couple of minor niggles about the room and I mentioned them as we checked out. The owner thanked me for telling him and made a note to fix them. I felt that he did "care"
The reception staff were helpful. The rooms were quiet with the windows closed. The air conditioning seemed to only heat not cool. The rooms were what you expected. Very basic. The hotel stank of cigarettes as soon as you stepped out of your room.
Small hotel, easy to find, close to shopping, nice personel, Not very stabil internet connection
The room was clean, breakfast ok but expensive, good parking. Noisy location and expensive, no coffee making facilities, forced to use room service.
The hotel was basic but clean and well presented. We arrived late but were checked in without fuss. It is easy to find and has plenty of parking on site. Breakfast was not included in the price and seemed a little pricey if you only wanted a coffee & croissant.
Fantastic, friendly staff and beautiful grounds surround the chateau. The chef is incredible and we enjoyed every meal.
Elegant and relaxant atmosphere.
Having a lounge to relax in. Food was very good. General quiet ambience. Lovely countryside to walk in
Service poor in restaurant
24/7 open and check in, good breakfast ease of use with separate entrance for rooms and restaurant, helpfull staff
Checking out. The place stinks so badly of stale cigarettes I actually woke up with a headache. It seems the carpets have never been cleaned or the rooms aired. You will probably be the only person staying there. The food is awful and hugely overpriced. It enjoys the views you get from being situated in an industrial estate. The decor is 1970s, and it seems to be run by a rather pushy adolescent boy.
. Rationed items at 'buffet' breakfast.
croissants were exellent. smoked up room!
We arrived about midnight due the drive being longer than expected, the door was locked, check-in closed about 10, we were greeted warmly and were shown to our rooms with the minimum of fuss and delay and a well deserved good nights sleep
Not much Hotel was very poor standard and strange staff. Meal was poor, breakfast was poor, some products were stale. Wifi was only available in public area and was turned off at night (Not a lot of use)
Price of Accomodation Do not order anything extra, such as drinks, breakfast or in fact any meal. A beer will cost Euro 9.00 the set meal is rubbish and costs euro 18.00 each. Breakfast Euro 6.50. a bottle of house red wine Euro 22.00 say no more
